    Middle-earth Feedback: Haudh Iarchith

As many unfortunate adventurers have found to their doom, a few places within the Barrow-downs are known to hold the greatest dread. Of these Haudh Iarchith, the long-abandoned clan-barrow of a great and wealthy family, sits as a den of Angmar’s Dead. For those seeking to improve their standing with the hunters of Bree, prepare to delve deep into this dungeon.

I must admit, I've often wondered why the Witch King et al even bothered with the Great Barrow, when there's Haudh Iarchith with much tougher wights and other such fell creatures less than a quarter of a mile away.

    Beautiful place though!

    Those screenshots are gorgeous!

My mom said I'm only 16, and don't have a rep yet. Maybe I should spend some time here.

    Those screenshots are fantastic!

I like going in there, you just need a bunch of DPS and you can plow your way to the end .

Hey ! It did not exist when I was questing in Bree ! I thought that reputation tokens dropped from regular mobs in the areas I already know, but I realize now that I'll need to go back and do all these reputation quests to discover any new dungeons. The only new one I already discovered is Sarnur in Ered Luin. Man, this game is without end and that's great ! Is there a new area in the Shire for the Mathom Society reputation quests ? Or any other areas created for reputation quests ?

Mathom's drop from any humanoid MOB as far as I know (but I think not in instances). I've gotten them from Angar to the Misties and all over in between.

I don't think there's a rep dungron for the Mathom society though.

OK, I'll try to phonetically spell how I pronounce it:

    Howd E - are - kith

I don't know if that's strictly correct though. I could see the terminal dh of Haudh pronounced like the "th" in "the". I could also see several other variations of pronunciation of Iarchith. I don't claim experitise - I'd love to know the correct "Tolkienesque" pronunciation.

Thumbs up Re: Middle-earth Feedback: Haudh Iarchith

I love this dungeon. I can never find anyone willing to going into the center section, even in my kinship. It's one of those places, I feel a little jipped that I can't explore. (Beautiful design) Every crypt I pass I want to know the story. It's like walking into one of those houses you wish it's walls could talk.

Can I solo this with my lvl 52 Hunter or is this a group place? Just curious.

    Thanks!

Lemme try: Ha-ood EE a(rolled r) (ch like german ach) ee (th would be between d and a half-sounded english th) A bit difficult for American English most of my kinnies chuckle when I try to say it right lol.

    Re: Middle-earth Feedback: Haudh Iarchith

Ive been spending a lot of time there recently at 60. its great loot/money for the time invested.

i get ~100-120 barrow treasure an hour. ~5 of the 700rep items per hour (Cath..somethings).
Mathons do drop in there... far fewer, more like ~20 small one and ~5 large mathons per hour drop for me.
those numbers are based off me and my oathbreaker archer steamrolling that place.

yes, you can solo it at 52. half the place is elites and half is regular mobs. unlike other instances, they will NOT aggro you if they are grey to you, so you can freely explore at 60 with no worries.

one question: what is the Watcher's Worshop bench for? what professions use it?

The official Lore-book entry for this dungeon has not been updated since the revision to this area 2 months ago.
