Are FTP eligible for lotteries?

I'm wondering because everytime I visit the lottery pages, I'm told there are no eligible lotteries for me. I'm actually a former subscriber so I'm not technically ftp, i'm whatever that in-between category is.

Lotteries are open to any and all players. You may be checking at times when lotteries aren't running. You can learn all you need to know by reading the LOTRO Lottery FAQ.

My FTP characters have entered and won quite a few lotteries - not as many as my lifetime characters have, but the lifers have the advantages of being higher-level and there are more of them. There are quite a few more lotteries available above Level 20 than there are below.

I think maybe what the OP is talking about could be the fact that mylotro hasn't been updated with current character information for the past 2 weeks. For example I have a 28 champ that's listed that has been level 30 all week. I also created a captain which stayed at level 1 because I didn't play it right away but then I deleted it and made another character with the same name. Mylotro still shows the captain listed under that name. If the OP had made their characters within that time period, I doubt they can see lottos because mylotro doesn't know they exist.

Many thanks for the quick responses. My characters are mostly over 60 and not created recently I guess I must just be checking at the wrong times. Now i just need to figure out when the *right* times are!

Haha! Just checked out the link Sapience provided -- what do u know? Regularly scheduled times listed right there along with lvl requirements -- thx again!

Perhaps my account is simply bugged -- although i "LogIN" during the correct lottery times and I have toons of many lvls, I am never able to actually enter a lottery=( Kinmates linked some very nice items recently won and it got me willing to try *yet again* to enter. But to no avail.

If anyone can offer any further advice, I would appreciate it. Many thx.

Now that we are talking about the lotteries xD, I would want to know more about the wining chances. Because I have only won 3 times the lottery since october and I have 3 chars. Is that normal? or am I very unlucky? or is there something I'm missing? I really want to win more lotteries, specially with my 65 cappy

It's strictly a numbers thing. On Elendilmir, there are a _lot_ of folks entering the lotteries. I have quite a few characters on E (30+ in all) and rarely win anything - I have 6 characters on Winfola and win much more often, even with ~1/6 the entries. The only suggestion I can make is if you want to win lotteries, make sure you enter them all. The weekly lotteries are pretty heavily subscribed, but over special event weekends, there can be short-term lotteries that often have fairly few entries.

Also, consider the 'social networking' systems like Facebook & Twitter (I avoid them like the plague), as Turbine has done 'flash lotteries' announced over the social sites that you may have much better odds on if you like those sites.

Thx for the encouragement -- i attempted to enter an hour after the lottery was supposedly opened, but it seems that what you're saying is that they aren't always timely? Anyhow, I attempted to enter again just now and still no luck=(
