Hi. i just pre-purchased RoI. I was wondering. it says derudh's stone works up to lvl 65 but will it last only until september 27th or will i still wear it once expansion comes out?

Yes, it will work after the expansion is released as well.

Its a typo. The stone will continue to work after Isengard launches.

I believe the September 27th is the last day it'll be available as a bonus via pre-order. I know you can purchase them for individual characters on the store but after the 27th it won't be included (account wide) as a pre-order bonus - for reasons that should be obvious.

However, every character you ever create on that account will be born with a derudh's stone (if you bought the pre-order) in perpetuity. Of course, they will cease to benefit you after level 65.

Note that it works until level 65. In Beta at least, the stone was level-capped at 64, so once you hit 65 it won't be of any use.

Does anyone think its a good idea to sell the stone after hitting level 65? Or perhaps one should hold on to it--just in case--sort of like a horseshoe and hope for good luck?

While I have not yet gotten rid of the Stone on my level 65 characters, I do not think it will ever change to be useful for them. If there is ever something similar that will work to higher levels, it is more likely to be a separate item.

So why, you ask, do I still hold onto it? A sad sad case of packratitis.

I don't think it can be sold, per say, but it can be tossed. It doesn't serve a function once a character hits 65.

Pre-orders, at least, can always just /reclaim it if need be. Dunno about store-bought stones.

It will under RoI. I tried it out myself, worked fine.

Have you tried using /reclaim on your older character, and did you check to make sure it's not hidden somewhere in your bags?
