I have a suggestion then, please put this where you will get maximum coverage, like on the login program news section. I read the forum every day and never saw this. A simple line like...

Server Event Hosts! New event on the horizon, make sure your server isn't left out! Click here for more info! Do you want to host a server event, click here to find out how!

While we don't host server events, from the discussion in my kin I am sure we would have thought to come up with something had we have known before the actual event rolled around.

Another Riddermark Kin here, we would have probably loved to join you in do something - ANYTHING - on Riddermark too.

I would love to know how go about organizing and getting assistance from Turbine on things like this.

Sometimes I wish we picked Landroval over Riddermark just to see what we are missing as a server. Maybe it's high time we from Da'Mark start making it a fun and fabulous place too.

The 500 TP will be added to your TP, and the Perlino Steed code will give the Perlino Steed to all characters currently on your account and any characters that you may make in the future.

In short... the Perlino Steed code is an extremely snazzy code.
As a casual roleplayer, I don't feel comfortable in rolling a character just to attend an event on a server I have no connections to whatsoever. I have characters on two servers with backstories, and their own reasons for doing things.

That said, I would still have rolled a toon to another server just for the chance to win the steed code, if it was actually stated clearly somewhere that it applies on account level, not just like the lotteries for that one single toon I will never log in to again. As for roleplaying in a community event, it won't happen on a new blank toon.

The event is a great idea and I really hope there will be more in the future. Just please don't hold back on details of what is exactly offered and available.

As a final note, I hope this will mean the return of event GM:s. There are a lot of things one single GM can do on a social and roleplaying level that is completely impossible to do by players. A very good example of an immersive and exciting event (even if it didn't involve GM:s as such) was when the Orcs tried to take Ost Guruth a couple of years back. I enjoyed defending the fort against the waves immensely. :-)

Two thumbs up for trying to make the game world more alive. :-)

    Re: The Galloping Gala Discussion

I would have SOOOOOO much fun if id have to protect some place from orcs!!!! Do please make somethign like that even if it means to change the GM policy in Turbine . I feel impromptu events would add such a fun dimension to the game. And lets face it it seems that this is actually the trend in MMOs. So i hope the devs will ponder on how to implement such a mechanism. It doesnt even have to involve GMs. I think tho it should go on the suggestion forum :P

    Re: The Galloping Gala Discussion

Now to go back to topic i would like to announce that Withywindle's Trivia Race was a real succes, people had fun in a hectic, confusing hard but challanging race. And event though not all won the big prizes everybody got something. Congratulations to teh winners: 1st place and the Perlino - Tranduil, 2nd Place Adhrillos, 3rd Place Heraya and first to finish the first leg Eodallan. Also congratulations to Vervain who at just level 11 had the persistance to try and get to Eregion by horse (was later found half uncouncious and full of dread on the way)
And also to Rosline who documented the race by telling us her little hobbit adventures and also taking these awesome pics (which i duplicate with her permision also here for those who dont follow the WW forum) note in some of the pics we decided to storm Michel Delving and show those hobbits how we ride.

I hope there will be many more such events and many more servers involved
    Cheers
