Goodie Bag missing from the Store?

Now that we have RoR on the ground, I went to the store to collect the Goodie Bag(s x3) but I cannot find it. I did the search as indicated in the email but nothing.

Anyone know where it got moved to?

I'm afraid you're too late... I've also forgotten to use mine.

Once you have your codes, please use them before October 15th. Unfortunately this piece of information was accidentally left out of the email. You need to use them before Rohan launches.

Per the email, they were only available for a limited time. The codes expired October 15, so I assume the item was taken out of the store then.

They might have sent a second email with the correction or they might have posted somewhere like in the launcher but alas no Goodies for me....

fwiw: I kept checking to see if there was any indication that there was an expiration date but of course it wasn't there.

I find it to be in poor taste of Turbine to not properly inform that the goodie bags had an expiration date.

I certainly did not know about it or read post X on page Y of a topic in the forums to catch that little tidbit about the date.

Then again, I never received the email with the codes to begin with...

I called WB/T Support today and the CSR confirmed that the Goodie Bag expired and was no longer available. The CSR talked with the Senior Manager to see if there was any remedy but there is nothing they could do about it.

If you didn't redeem the Goodie Bags before launch you are SOL. That also means if you didn't redeem all of them, any unused codes are void.

So... at least it's comfirmed by WB/T Support.


btw The CSR was VERY VERY nice. TY CSR Lavanna for trying to help out.

I am not surprised that they had a limited time they were available, BUT would it have been much trouble to simply state it must be used before RoR launch? Limited time for Lotro can be days, weeks or months - so their description was vague to say the least.

No it's not a big deal, it's just an example of poor communication. I believed they overlooked this detail in their rush to mitigate the fallout over the delayed launch of RoR. If you juggle too many balls at once, you're not going to catch them all.

This is the email I got on 9/17. They had a huge mess up on the initial mailings and some people never got one at all. They did several send-outs iirc.

So, not everyone got the expired date message. Yours is the first I've seen.

Interesting - so they sent different messages at different times. One on 10/21 clearly states it must be used by 10/15 the other on 9/17 doesn't. Mine was the same as Sabriel's.

Yep I got the original email but no expiry date email. I check the forums daily as well, but have not been in the habit of checking the goodie bag thread b/c why would I expect there to be an expiration or anything untoward?
