    Constant instrument playing

I know I've seen mention of this elsewhere, but it isn't in the known issues list and I don't see a thread on it, so I wanted to make sure the issue gets attention.

Please fix the stuck tale music... it hurts... I can't take it any more.... BRAINS!!!!!!!

Its not nearly as bad as everyone crashing or not getting into game, but I cannot have combat sounds on at all with this, and those are of some importance.

    Thanks.

This seems to happen when you enter Warspeech from horseback. Relogging fixes it.

Correct about relogging fixing it, but that is NOT a solution. Although it also happens when not on horseback... I thought this at first too, until last night

Boy howdy, this is a problem. Guess I'll be in RP-only mode until the next patch.

This happened to me too. Every time I had to do a transition--like a ladder or a door--it made it play again. So I eventually had three flute versions of induction music playing. I had to relog to fix it.

Boy did I learn to not do that again!

I can confirm this as well. Usually happpens when I put up a Tale or enter War-speech (despite it having a completely different induction sound). Granted, it doesn't happen all the time but when I get a case of the Drums That Never Stop I find that relogging stops it. Would be nice to have it fixed, though.

I'll do some more testing but I think if you're not mounted when you switch stance it's OK.

I'm bugging this every time i get it.

because it really is kinda distracting.

I like my flute, but seriously, dudes.

LilyRose in Rohan on the Warsteed doesn't seem to have the problem, but my Landy alt has been plagued with it-she's pre-Moria level.

I've had my cowbell in a neverending loop twice now. both times it started while I was on horseback. I think the 2nd poster might be right it has something to do with getting in or out of warspeech.

The second time was the worst. as if all cows from the Alps had gathered in my room .

    Unhappy

I put a ticket in and they responded that they were not aware of the issue , they also suggested relogging .

I didnt associate it with any action , just didnt notice until the bells started and eventually couldnt stand it .

Finally they suggested that I report it as a bug but havent done so yet .

Thought I had developed Tinnutis , only way to stop it was to turn off all combat sounds .

Lets hope they fix this soon

    Same here

When activating Warspeech or a Tale of Heroism mounted it begins an endless loop of music, which I can keep adding layers of sound to if I deactivate and reactivate. Unmounting does nothing to cease the music (must re-log), but I have not had it happen when activating them while unmounted. Can't wait to take my concert with me into the auction hall! Bugged it. This is not an acceptable situation.

Based on my own experience... mounting seems to make the issue much more probable. And for that, I never activate either tale or stance while mounted. However, this did happen to me once while NOT mounted. fwiw

In my kinship, we had just figured it was turning on a tale or warspeech from horseback. The endless loop is awful.

Before RoR I noticed that sometimes one of the warleader skills would do this too----other people including the warleader could hear the continual loop of chiming. I don't know if creeps are still having this sound loop issue but on the minstrel it is absolutely obnoxious lol.

I noticed this right away after RoR launched too. I have not played my minstrel since, and for now my hunter is getting to see Rohan first. I have always considered my minstrel to be my main, but she's spending her time in the crafting hall till this gets fixed.

    Angry reproducability

I reproduce this every time now.
Just switching from Red-Dawn to Rohirrim gets my minstrel into loop mode.. it reloop any skill I do after that..

Ive reported it as a bug.

It happens to me whenever I put warspeech on on horseback, or when switching discplines on my warhorse from dps to heals etc.

We experienced this and the warleader loop a lot in ROI as well. (to the point that we asked our mini to switch to drums as the bagpipes were going to make us go mad)

It seems to be a much more common occurance now though.

Im tempted to carry one of each instrument around in my bags to see if i can get it to stack high enough to be a one man band. WTB cymbals for the full effect ~_~

Same here, I suppose I'll submit a ticket today and help the cause. It's very frustrating having to hear a cowbell every second.

Reported it yesterday.. it's very frustrating and crippling to the minstrel I think. I can't really go full heal on warsteed now... it just wont happen.
Also have to think about which stace I'm going to use before I mount the steed.. bah.. annoying.

A misconception here I think. I'm pretty sure that the stance you're in on FOOT doesn't affect the stance you're in on HORSEBACK - in other words it's quite possible to do big heals in "warspeech" on horseback because you're in blue (or yellow) horse stance rather than red.

Stance-dancing is certainly part of my standard mounted combat tactic both on minnie and hunter.

yea i know. still annoying not to be able to switch as you wish.

If i want to go blue now I cant.. as soon as I do it goes into loop mode.. reproducible every time. Which means that the mini is crippled to use yellow or red.. meaning.. no full heal on warsteed as blue would be the ideal healing discipline.

Ouch. I've had no such issues if warspeech was up before I mounted my horse; I can stance-dance happily. Only thing I can suggest for you is to use the yellow stance for healing instead; there are a couple of decentish heals, including a very harmony-ish heal-me-damage-the-mobs coda.

Unhappy even after the last update :|

well I really had my hopes up. A few things are actually better after the last update but.. the mini is still bugged.

I can't use blue (Rohirrim) discipline still. As soon as I activate it and use any skill that make me use my instrument it start playing and never ever stops.
It is very annoying to not be able to use my dear minstrel to it's full potential

I did find a workaround on the stace issue tho. If I go into war-speech before I mount my war-steed I have to deactivate it before I climb off it if I want to use something else.. also very very annoying tho because I might actually not know what stance I will need in a prolonged fight.. and yes I know it doesn't matter if I'm on war-steed but it does matter when I dismount and have to fight on the ground, and I really like to be prepared <-- this is a sidetrack and has nothing to do with the real issue described above.

Coda of the Eorlingas (harmonyish coda from riddermark stance) does not do a morale heal, but a power heal to your fellow and supposedly friendly targets.
