    Lotro.com deserves a mobile version

    Dear developers,

I enjoy reading this forum plenty but the experience reading through your phone
Is horrible. Can you please create mobile version (android/ios) of the forums so everyone
Can enjoy reading on their phones / tablets.

It's too painful to pinch in and zoom only having to swipe the screen back and forth just to read a sentence.

    Thank you

You can choose mobile style at the bottom of the page, right corner, above "Back to Top".

There is a weird issue with mobile version. If I do not access forum for a while and get logged out, mobile site does not accept my login. I have to go to Full Site, log in there, and then switch back to mobile. Rather annoying...

Yes, this is true. I can't recommend using the mobile version for that reason. Ideally (and hopefully) we'll someday replace our existing site and forums, but until then...

Good to know! I had given up on accessing this site on mobile...
Still, mobile friendly styling should kick in on page load, not after the user has zoomed in, found an obscure setting at the bottom of the page and changed a value to mobile.

A full site overhaul is certainly no small task. In the mean time though, I'm not sure what sort of customization vBulletin allows for in terms of styling, but simple media queries can handle the display of mobile friendly styling automatically. This already would be a huge improvement in terms of mobile UX.

It is quite well hidden, true.

Any kind of upgrade towards more responsive and user friendly site would indeed be great.

The problem with this website is that is completely customized, and I have a suspicion (without any evidence to back it) that the original developers of this site left some time ago due to layoffs and whatnot, and website development has been at a much slower pace since then. The website could use many improvements, a good working mobile version only being part of the problem. Unfortunately it will take some time to really develop the website to what it should be in 2018, instead of running on the same 2014-ish code without any significant updates.

I am hoping that the web developers are working on something in the background, and it will launch at some point in the future.....
