New x64 Wine Client Wont open on macOS Catalina

New x64 Wine Client Wont open on macOS Catalina.

I hit the icon, it hangs for a few seconds like its going to open then it does not.

No mention of the app being blocked in the security centre.

    Weird.

Catalina is still in beta, is it not? It's not officially out yet, now — is it?
Why would you think Lotro would work, given the above?
Also, educate yourself on what's going on with Apple, nVidia and support for 3rd-party GPUs.
Long story short, don't do things like this, then come to the SSG forums to complain that things "aren't working as intended".

I posted a question because i didn't understand why it didn't work. The post in front of you cleared that up and now I understand.

That is the purpose of a forum. To enlighten and educate the less informed.

Your post was far less than helpful and I genuinely feel bad for you that you think its ok to respond like that. I can't imagine that kind of attitude ever works out well for you.

Good luck with that, your gonna need it.

Good to know, and despite the tone of the other comments here, they are still correct. I would say keep testing, and keep updating to the latest version as it is released, but keep in mind that Beta software is "pre release" and as such is not expected to be fully functional yet.

Yeah I only tested it on my MacBook Air as I generally only use it for work and Catalina plays really well with the new iOS and iPadOS 13. I've still got my iMac on Mojave.

Thanks for chipping here by the way guys. I'm not quite sure what old mates problem is but it makes my little LotRO Catalina problem seem a lot less significant. lol

Hopefully he and SSG figure these things out out soon huh?

This isn't going to change with the final version of the OS. Support for 32-bit programs has simply been dropped altogether. Not as in "that might work but we won't help if it doesn't", but as in "all the 32-bit runtime libraries have been removed".

Yes, 10.15 isn't out yet, so SSG still has some time to resolve this, but they need to get on top of it now to be ready when the release happens.
