I've gotten some kinnies interested in the Crosser of Roads title. We've gotten our cloaks so we are only missing the marathon. Hoping there will be an attempt in August this year. Uncle Rooster? Mother Hen? Please let me know here or in-game (Louvel).

This evening (Saturday, July 27), at the Oak 'N Barrell Inn, in the southeastern corner of Addernotch homestead - the very first Shire homestead - we will be having our monthly Moot Meet where we will be discussing such things.

All are invited.

Daffodilia Wildfeet, who is usually the forerunner of the annual Month of the Chicken, has been on walk-about for about 8 months now. With her absence, we are looking to see iffen there others willing to pick up the feather.

Li'l Meadowlark Sweetweed is still fully intending to have his Shire chicken races on Friday at 9:00 PM in the Shire. This is typically the first event in the Month of the Chicken. And will be hosting his annual chicken delivery to Rivendell at 2:00 PM on the last Saturday of August. Whether there are folks wanting to fill in anything in the middle, now is the time to let it be known.

Yes, there will be a Month of the Chicken.

At this month's Moot Meet, it was all folks could talk about. Events are being organized.

We will start with training sessions . . . helping folks get their chickens trained so they can join the events. ((Participants need to finish the first few chicken quests so that they can get the quests that allow them to send chickens out of the Shire.))

Friday, August 2, at 8:00 PM and 9:00 PM Chicken races. One lap around the Shire. The start and finish line are at Mustering Hill, just south of the Stables in Michel Delving. Your host will be Li'l Meadowlark Sweetweed.

And we are working on sending a flock of chickens to Isengard with the hobbit on the 10th.
