Ingame support - is there anyone there?

Recently I returned to my First Character who is still yet to go though Moria. She has a number of Elven Relics - a nice Reputation boost, She has "cashed them in" previously with no problems. Now getting the error message "you must have completed the quest " a Scout among the Bruinen Gorges" a quest my character completed years ago.

I am concerned that we are not getting the in game support when we are actually playing and having to have to go external to register an issue. It never used to be like this - you registered your issue and within half an hour an agent would put something in your chat asking if it was a good time to chat. now I cannot even review my ticket and the progress (or lack thereof).

My ticket is 291480 on Laurelin and as described above involves a block on being able to register valid reputation items.

Please review the ticket that is now close to 24 hours with no resolution. Please also review how In game support will resume/develop in the forthcoming campaigns and looking at the existing ones too.

Another observation is that my characters are having to "refresh" their travel contacts, where they had them before for many years.

I look forward to being able to enjoy LOTRO again

Some zones have had their stablemaster routes revamped recently. Trollshaws comes immediately to mind, sounds like you might be there. Everyone had to revisit those stablemasters to re-activate those routes, it's not just you.

They also added quest pre-requisites to cashing in rep items because people were making new characters, buying a bunch of rep items at the skirm camp, easily turning marks into LP from deed completion, then repeating over and over. So that's why that new requirement is there. Hopefully you'll get a ticket response soon. Response times were pretty long this past year but they seem to be improving the last few months. The days of a GM responding within the hour have pretty much sailed into the West though.

Player support is still there, and frankly, they've been faring much better recently. The estimated wait time is usually up to 24 hours, depending on the bugs we're currently dealing with.

I think the primary rant from me here is messing with a quest already completed - I get the offload to a whole bunch of newly created alts. you still have to reach the goal-line (insert appropriate sporting goal!!), but why should I as someone who is "old school" to the point of turning down buying rep unless i have earned it - have to go through a judgement process to recover my redemption legitimacy on these items.

As to the Stable Master revisions, it is most notable within the Trollshaws as you say, but as most of the highways route though here and beyond this is becoming a common irritation.

I would like to think that even crossing the respective "Powers that be" (Turbine and before) and I bought a VIP account at the time I could accept a certain understanding relationship with the GM and Developers.

This one does upset me now as this is the response to my ticket : Greetings!

The quest "A Scout among the Bruinen Gorges" has been obsolete since Update 13 in 2014 when the Trollshaws received a revamp. Use of the Elvish Relics require completion of the quest "Scouts Among the Bruinen Gorges", which can be acquired from Barachen in Barachen's Camp. Please let us know if completion of "Scouts Among the Bruinen Gorges" does not resolve your issue, and thank you for your patience.

I would also like to remind you that as stated in our previous message, Quality Assurance is unable to provide immediate or direct assistance via a Bug Report. Should you require immediate in-game assistance in the future, please file a ticket with Customer Support via the Help menu.

    Regards
    SSG Quality Assurance

I find it incredible that I could acquire said Elvish Relics so recently within 2023 and "cash them in" and now I can't. the above makes no sense, Developers/GMs please advise

I am not trying to rock the boat here as I just want to enjoy my game but something isn't quite right with the above.

If you are on Laurelin at the same time as me ( I'm BST so unlikely unless I'm up late) say hi

While I appreciate the extremely subtle distinction between the original quest that my Character completed and the revised one that is now a "new" quest, there are some fundamental questions here. The quest as outlined by Support has only just miraculously appeared as I had just completed an overdue quests in the same area and with the same quest completion area.

My character has completed a quest and if that is superseded then surely the rewards would carry over, or be accounted for, or any quest chain. Honey has completed the original quest - how do you notify her that she has to redo one. two, three or more quests because you have changed the quest parameters. I will also point out that this "new Quest" with the quest objectives is mostly the same as the so called "obsolete" quest. There is a fundamental instability to further related quest(s)

I am not sure that "What we do in the Shadows" - "Oh it was there all along" holds up here. Would like some answers as to how quest completed with respective rewards are retrospectively recognised.

The new plural quest which has miraculously appeared is described below "Scouts Among the Bruinen Gorges". It wasn't there before when I did the overdue "Strange Stones" quest. so think there is some smoke and mirrors here.....

What SSG really have to answer here is how do I have a completed quest and then you wipe the rewards/benefits from those quests.
