The music in the new area is so beautiful. On the steps of the Lonely Mountain, the bells of Dale, the combat music! Each area has such distinctive motifs, well suited to the areas.
Is the soundtrack available for purchase anywhere?

It really is beautiful music, I love it too. Well done to the composer/performers!
“All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost."
I like the "fight" music so much I kind of linger when wolves attack me, turn my back and not fight back just because I like listening to it. I'd also like to purchase this - I actually listen to LOTRO music in my car driving home from work each day - great stress reliever.

10/10 would buy the soundtrack.
The music in the new area is great, just love the different themes. And those lovely bells!

I agree with everyone above, I think this is some of the best music in the game aside from Chance Thomas' work! I'd love it if a soundtrack was released.
This is a discussion that I've had with a few people in the office and it's something that I'd love to release. There are a few wrinkles to iron out and I need to find the time for it (so I obviously can't give a time frame), but we'll let you know when this becomes available.
(Also, I'm certainly glad to hear that you're enjoying it!)
I Love it too! There are some on youtube

Me too!
Yippee! Thanks, Darth, for letting us know the music might become available.
And very well done. You're a talented composer, and your arrangements are lovely!
Is there already housing music available of the new areas? If not, please consider adding it?
I was thrilled when Chance Thomas finally got around to releasing LOTRO 10 and the Mordor soundtrack through services like Spotify. Would love to see all the in-house music released the same way (U22 music is fantastic and the Belfalas music is some of my favorite in the game). Some of it is on YouTube, but I'd prefer it if the SSG and the actual composers were able to benefit.
Any updates on this? I'd love to get the music!
Dr. Octothorpe mentioned in the last Q&A that they would have something to say about that soon, and that they were considering a release of the music in some form (possibly through Youtube or some other service). There's been an unofficial release here, but no word yet on what they're planning. It's been a couple weeks since then, I think.
Looks like a soundtrack got uploaded to Youtube today! 28 tracks, this is great! I'm hoping maybe there will be some way to get the album as an official high quality download too but I know at least there are websites that let you download audio from YT videos. I'm very happy, thank you for releasing this DarthCeltics!
We are still working out the details of getting a downloadable version available, but for now at least we've been able to put it up as a Playlist on YouTube.
My favourite pieces are the Northern Mirkwood environmental background melodies - albeit I sometimes feel reminded of another MMO that is developed by some Chinese (Developer?) and German (Publisher?) companies. It would not be nice to tell names here, so I will only hint at a frog that had been the name patron of the latter, until they changed their name to something rather generic imho.

You can still download directly from YouTube using free sites like https://www.onlinevideoconverter.com or if you use YouTube Red.
Any word on this? I'm itching to get a nice download of the music!
Bumping to see if there are still any plans to release the U22 soundtrack for download! Also, I hope there are similar plans to release the U23 soundtrack for download after it comes out, I am loving what I've heard of the music so far!
Any news on this one? :-)
I want to buy it to play in my car!
Love the music of both Erebor, Dale and Felegoth as well as update 23!
I totally agree. It's a joy and creates a nice atmosphere. Just like the music in Rohan did.
A question that will probably be raised eventually. I take it that this was in-house created music and if so, is this Ok to use in videos on YouTube without getting copyright strikes by some composer ??? I'm not there yet with having my own channel but I know others are and will probably want to know this too.
Apologies for the delay! Cordovan and I are still investigating other distribution options for the U22/U23 soundtracks (in addition to posting them on YouTube) as time permits. We'll definitely give an update when we have more info.
As far as YouTube creators using LOTRO music in their videos (at least so far as the music from in house composers goes), we haven't seen YouTube copyright strikes against LOTRO videos using the music, so you should be good. (Read: You won't see a complaint from me about using U22/U23 music.)
