Will there by any new 140 level landscape before new lvl cap?

I know you posted "A look at LOTRO 2023" and you talked about "Return to Carn Dum" and such... but I still feel like wanting to ask.

Do you plan in releasing any new 140 area before the new level cap? I feel you released soooo much content for 130 cap, both for cap and low lvl areas. In those times... Minas Morgul, Langflood, Elderslade, Azanulbizar... Wildwood, Angle... I don't recall if Yondershire was released also at 130 cap or 140... so, do you expect to release at least 1 more 140 questpack before new level cap or all content to be released before the supposed Gondor expansion will be low lvl?

    Thanks!

As far as I know the following content updates are planned for this year:
    • Carn Dum Instance Cluster: two 3-mans, one 6-man and a raid; meant for level 140; no landscape besides a quest hub; will come with Update 35, planned for Q1 (raid maybe later)
    • Gondor (after the war): contains landscape with the after war version of Gondor, we don't know yet, how much of Gondor will be part of it; meant for level 140; planned to be released in summer (Q2/Q3)
    • A new "Further Adventures" mission series: scales to every level; planned to be released in Q3
    • Umbar: the next major expansion; new level cap: 150; planned for Q4 (release will probably be november, as the last major expansions)

Besides that, they are doing many work on various game systems, including class rework for most if not all classes, PvMP changes, crafting rework, power rework and delving updates. Therefore they probably have less time to spend on new landscape content.

Ohhh so Gondor after war will be for 140? I thought the Gondor landscape was next expansion! If the new Gondor is indeed planned to be 140, that is something I'm VERY excited about!

They never say it will be for next level cap, because next level cap will be only in november. Next expansion will be Umbar in november. But we need reach Umbar somehow and it takes few locations. Some of them can be 140 and some of them can be 140+

    I hope so.

I rarely log in nowadays, nothing to do. Can't run any more missions or Gundabad dailies, and even if I could, why would I? There is nothing to purchase with the tokens. I don't need another alt getting any closer to cap either.

Yep that's right. U35's "Return to CD" will be level cap 140 - and so will "After Battle Gondor." Umbar will be the level 150 expansion later this year. Hopefully level 140 Gondor will give a strong number of quests to help balance the scales at cap some more.

    Cheers!

Landroval player; I am Phantion on the forums only and do not have a corresponding character in-game with that name on any server. Cheers! :)

Still don't see any confirm from devs if Umbar will be 145 level or 150 level. Maybe they don't decide that yet

I actually went back to check if there was ever a statement anywhere they said it would be level 150. If they did, I couldn't find it. Though, it does make the most sense. All of our legendary equipment traceries have a maximum level of 150 and expansions usually include 10 levels. I think there would be a lot of problems if they simply do a half-step up to level 145. I've found, especially with Gundabad, that a character should be able to progress through the content in an expansion and hit the level cap from quests alone (without any experience boosts, deeds, missions, tasks, or instances).

Our focus this year is moving forward the narrative of the game and providing more endgame content. Update 35's instances have an end-game focus in mind, and the landscape being introduced in Update 36 will be level 140 content.
