Ok Sapience, I'm happy to know the servers are now patched and know it's not the perfect place to talk about that, but seriously ... When will we have a "real" update to resolve the "most" imperative problems like the "IUA language" preventing to use the plugins ?? I'm agree with some other members who say that the poor french translation (when it's translated !!!) and the the new items with noname are not really hurry, but a lot of players have some serious problems due to the instability, even without use an external plugin.
I was pleased that just one week after the launch of Isengard there's already an emergency update, but for nothing (at least on our side). In waiting, I try to be optimistic because I think Lotro is really a powerfull adventure but admit please that the update 4 is dramatic and particularly for non-english players.
Should we really wait until December to retrieve the stability that we had ?? or it will have an hotfix soon ??
Thank you and hace a nice day

In this very same thread, Sapience posted, "While today's hotfix is server side only and meant to improve server stability, we are working on a patch as well. Exactly what is or is not in it I don't know yet. Currently I have no ETA on when that will be released, but I'll keep you posted and let you know as soon as I do."
So a) it's a patch, not a hotfix (explanation of the difference is also in this thread), and b) it's coming soon but we don't have an ETA on it. I certainly don't expect to wait until December.

Exactness is not always possible. It was stated that it fixed stability and lag issues. In the past few days I have encountered an issue where my character tried to enter the keep at Tinnudir and kept landing outside. I also found that the Walls of Moria area would not let me get lunches to a couple of dwarves. Next day both were fine but I had trouble getting to a spot in Enedwaith near where the hobbit village is. Later that day I could get there fine. Those can all be potentially lumped into stability or lag issues - they were extreme rubberbanding events, but they were transitory and so the specifics are not particularly helpful. The details may have varied by server, time of day, and number of characters in a particular region. It's true that the vague statement does not tell me if any of these should no longer happen, just trying to illustrate how more detail may not really help when random issues can crop up anywhere. We do know that something was bad enough to trigger server reboots, and likely that issue was to be addressed in this fix.

I find it fascinating that as time progresses. People feel the need to create an additional word or name for an existing concept. Increasing the number of ways the same thing is described in oral and written communication. In the process, increasing confusion for all. You can not wipe GMT and Zulu out via the introduction of UTC. Now everybody has to know three words for the same thing. Or they tilt - have to look it up.
Unless stated otherwise, all content in this post is My Personal Opinion.
Actually it also fixed the german string tables on client side
I can't tell about the french client of course.
On the downside the game still keeps crashing sometimes when new items get generated (loot, craft, mine).
Turning of ALL plugins (not just the inventory ones) seems to help a bit.

Perhaps it's just my imagination, but the lag in Galtrev, while still bad, doesn't seem quite as bad. From my own experience, an example:
I'd turn in one quest to an NPC, choose a reward, then run (okay, stutter) uphill to the next NPC. As I'm speaking with the second NPC, the VO dialogue from the first NPC plays. That was happening before the hotfix, but it's no longer happening.
I'm still seeing the tremendous lag that I used to associate with the 21st Hall, though. And to judge from the colorful remarks made by kinmates in Vent, the issues in the Iron Pit (or whatever it's called) still exist. I haven't gotten that far, so I can't judge.
I blame Saruman.

Some must fight, so that all may be free.
Personally I think its getting better because people are a little more dispersed now. The first few days of ROI Galtrev was wall to wall people.
I haven't done any of the major instances so I can't say how they are but there are still a ton of people posting on the forums that they are having issues since ROI was released.
