So, does this mean you are having issues with the new tech to fix the lag?
And does that mean you are going to push RoR back even further?
I was going to take a few days off of work for the expansion and was wondering if I should hold off putting in the request. I'm sure others were planning the same and would like to know.
RoI will be on time, or was on time rather... (see you just edited that one)
RoR is still scheduled for the 15th though and will most likely bring a whole slew of its on bugs with it, regardless of whether the 'lag' gets fixed or not.

The cancelled downtimes aren't related to each other, and aren't directly related to Rohan. For example, yesterday's downtime was going to update our in game browser and also make some changes to the in game store to address some bugs and other issues within the store itself (on the back end, so this was more for us than anything players would see).

We're still bug killing and still releasing on October 15. In fact Beta players will see a new build this week.

The servers could be in pristine, optimal condition, and a new expansion, even if perfect itself, will still introduce lag and possible server crashes just because of the influx of players. Past experiences in this game, and all others I've played while an expansion was released, tells me to take the time off a bit AFTER the release.
Helm's Deep Devamp killed my long time toons. Currently bouncing around between post-HD newbie alts (a warden and champ) and other games. Baruk Khazâd! Khazâd ai-mênu! http://cruciblegaming.com

Whatever you do, don't take Monday off. You'll be waiting around most of the day for the servers to come up and for the game to load on your PC. You'd be much better off taking Tuesday or even later in the week off.

Agreed. In LOTRO terms, Mondays should be avoided. Even the following weeks after, they run a risk of a 4 - 6 hours patch or maintenance update.
