So you'd pay $50.00 to get to level 50? (that's what the price was in Beta anyway)
So far I have not found it yet in the store.
Do not trouble trouble until trouble troubles you.Easca could manipulate a bull through a mousehole and still make it think it did it all by itself.
i really hope they add it still. yes i would pay 50 bucks to get it(not without hesitating mind you but i would still get it)
and if you dont want it then dont buy it. its that simple.

I hope they add it too, but 50 bucks is a lot.... I MIGHT buy it if they make this a one time purchase and apply it account wide, so you can level any new character to 50...Kind of like the +78% Mount speed buff I bought not long ago.. Cost me a few sheckles, but works for EVERY mount on every character and all new re rolls... Really nice.
I should also point out that in other Turbine Games- i.e. Asheron's Call 1- this feature is free, with the only condition that you must have levelled at least one character to the auto level previously.

I was considering as to whether I would get this or not but im just not sure. See I feel like I would want this for a possible alt once i finish on my main, but after trying 3 different classes I have no idea which I like best/ least etc. If i was to put GoV on one then I might regret it immediately.
Its a big cost for what it is, I mean $50? OUCH
My opinion is not buy it because to spent $50 or 5k tp is a silly purchase just to get to lvl 50.My opinion is to lvl to 50 you should:1-6 introduction 6-13 Quests neat the introduction area 13-22 get a high lvl with you and go kill wights at barrow downs 22-30 Lone Lands 30-40 buy evendim quest pack 40-50 get Angmar quest pack.I think that if you follow this plan you can get around to 25 in one day and in one week or less if you play a lot of time lotro during this week you can get to 50 and the only you have to spent is 595 tp for evendim and 795 tp for angmar so 1395 tp or $20 to buy 1600 tp and you can give some other money to get Quad Pack that includes all Expansion for lvls 50-85(Moria 50-60,Mirkwood 60-65,Isengard 65-75 and Rohan 75-85 and then you have to buy Helm's Deeps for lvls 85-95 or do Sword Hall fast runs like i did).I hape my opinion is helpful![]()

I sincerely hope that Gift of the Valar is never implemented.

"There will be no Dawn for Men" ~ Saruman the White
You know what? I could see this coming in at first as a Hobbit Present...... Remember a couple of years ago how people complained at the thought of buying armor form the store? Actually, "foaming at the hands" (keyboard, heheh) might have been a better way to describe how it was back then.
Well, now we have Mathom hunter's armor...and decent stuff it is, too..something that almost all of my toons wear some or all of.... I say thanks Turbine to bringing that in. I don't see much negative feedback about it, myself and hope it stays...
As far as gift of the Valar goes, I would LOVE to have a small chance of winning this in the hobbit lottery...

It's available now in the LOTRO Store in game, but only for a limited time.
More info: https://www.lotro.com/forums/showthr...%E2%80%93-19th
I am a bit confused.... Just a couple of days ago I logged onto my level 30ish Lore master and this was available in the store... When I saw the add on the forums I thought it was going to be half price or something but it simply says it is available for a limited time, lol it was always available (for me at least).
So now will it disappear from the store after the 19th?
If you are paying 50 bucks to NOT PLAY the game it might be time to reevaluate your gaming choices.....:P
I'm not sure what to think.
Why not let those who want to part with the money get a shortcut to Level 50?
The down side I see is that there is so much about the game you miss by just jumping to Level 50...even if you've played it before. I now have 5 characters. My main toon I invest the time to max out everything and do every quest I can (including slayer deeds) to max out his potential. All my alts I might play to Level 10 before I decide if I want to keep them as I've created them BEFORE I add any store-bought perks for them.
There's something you get from investing in growing your character the hard way.
Right now, thanks to the perk for pre-ordering Helm's Deep and another pocket item perk you can get right out of training, you can already accumulate XP at a much faster rate...enabling you to level up much faster than you used to WITHOUT having to buy a bunch of XP accelerators. These items already cut out enhancing your XP rate once you reach a given level.
I suppose it's a worthwhile item for those who want to jump up to a higher level, but to perk out, you either will have to buy them in the store or go back and fight hordes of underleveled monsters to get the slayer deeds completed.

I would like to know if this item gives you xp that would level you from one to 50, or if it simply gives you enough xp to get you to level 50 from whatever level you are at? For instance, if I open this on my level 46 LM, what level would it reach?
I agree, it is aimed to those people who have already leveled at least one char "manually". - And maybe it should be restricted to those! -I remember, the "one MMORPG, with the two "W"s in its name, that everyone knows" had such an option to enroll a high-level char - but only if you had already leveled a char before to max. level.
IMO the Gift of the Valar should contain
- virtues with a rank on par with Level 50 (not only rank 4, but 10(?) - or what the max virtue rank is at Lvl 50)
- completion of all skill deeds for the skills gained at Lvl 50
Otherwise you have to do the grind of:
- doing quests below level to complete the quest deeds for virtues; so you have to quest a lot (under level!) anyway, and the little XP gained for quests below level is almost worthless at Lvl 50!
- doing a lot of boring slayer deeds to gain virtues
- doing the skill deeds; one might argue, that this is necessary and recommended to learn the class properly, however there are still 45 levels left to current max. lvl - still plenty of time to learn the skills of that class and a proper rotation; anyway, group/instance content has its own demands and can only be learned playing in a group.
With the current contents of the "Gift of the Valar" I prefer to make my new char a farmer and cook and level him up easily to level 50 just by crafting. This is easy, when applying the various ways to get XP bonuses.
Best regards

Is this item account wide or for a single character?
