World Transfer service testing - PHASE 3

Bullroarer is back up with a new build for more world transfer testing.
The Bullroarer database has again been wiped.
You can transfer to Palantir and back. However, please be aware that any items in your shared storage (shared bank or housing storage) will prevent you from transferring your shared account items back for 2 weeks (the account transfer will fail). To allow you to test more than a single account transfer on our beta server for now, please only transfer account shared items in shared storage from Palantir to Bullroarer. You can transfer wardrobe and account shared barter wallet items back and forth as much as you like, but empty your shared storage and housing storage before transferring shared items to Palantir.

Just to be clear: Does transferring your shared items within the beta environment also impose a 2-week delay in the live environment? In other words, if I start testing today, and next week you open up live transfers between the 5 remaining worlds, will I have a problem transferring shared items?

Also, since BR has been cleared, if I create a character, use the E&G to load up on shared wallet stuff, load up shared storage with things, and then transfer to Palantir, can I transfer the shared items BACK the same day or will it have to remain there for 2 weeks? Since I can't actually LOG IN to Palentir, how do I know it worked?

I'm confused too. I guess only folks who previously tried getting stuff to Palantir, and it failed to bring their items back, are the focus of the current phase? *not sure how/if I might contribute

This 2 week period is a delay in when you can successfully transfer your shared items BACK to a server. So these tests will in no way impact your ability to transfer shared items on live worlds. And if we had more testing worlds you could transfer shared items from A -> B -> C etc. Just not back to server A for that 2 week period.

But yes indeed - if you create a character on Bullroarer and fill shared storage with stuff, then transfer the shared account items to Palantir, you will be unable to transfer your shared account items BACK to Bullroarer (as long as you had items in shared or housing storage when you transferred shared items off of Bullroarer).

If you already have shared account items on Palantir from a previous test that you can now transfer to Bullroarer, that would be ideal. But even if you don't, you can test other features such as individual character transfers, wardrobe and shared items in barter wallet (just don't put anything in shared or housing storage), and housing upkeep pre-payment as well as the transfer wizard, email receipts, and underlying hardware.

Is there no way to open up Palantir for public testing? I transferred everything FROM Palentir back TO Bullroarer in the last testing run, and if I transfer things from Bullroarer to Palentir now, I won't know if it works.....

Of course if it helps with testing I am more than willing to load up a toon on bullroarer, and move it over.

Below is the information for your transfer on 8/18/2015 7:41:49 PM: FROM WORLD: Palantir TO WORLD: Bullroarer Other details: Account data transferred successfully for subscription LOTRO Free to Play Account Signup (2012-08-19)"
Closed launcher.

Logged onto BR at 6:48PM CST on 8/18/15.
All shared currency in wallet transferred (marks, commendations, mithril), all items from housing storage chest transferred (and placed in escrow), all shared vault items transferred, all shared wardrobe items transferred.

Is it safe to say that tomorrow's patch is unrelated to the current transfer testing? I haven't seen any other testing done concurrently, but if the transfer system is still being actively tested, I don't see how it could possibly be tomorrow's patch.

Well, only tried to transfer shared belongings from Palantir to BR, which appears to have worked, and I did an email within moments of okaying the transfer. Haven't tried just a toon and their own stuff yet, as BR was not showing any of my toons as of this typing. Will try that again later.

Or not. xD As one slightly concerned about transferring before the beta testing is even over, could any blue-name alleviate any concerns regarding this? Is the continuing testing related in any way to the transfers starting on the live servers?

I haven't been able to log into Bullroarer at all today. Roughly the last four hours.

Yesterday, I made a new toon. Today I was going to make more, and then a kinnie and I were going to test transferring. I don't think that's gonna happen now.

I am seeing some reports of people transferring shared stuff from one server to another, and then expecting to be able to transfer it back and getting an error..... NO ONE but in this Bullroarer forum has been told that there may be a 2-week delay on transfering these items back to the original server. Could this code have made it into the current LIVE code? This is something that should be announced immediately before people transfer shared stuff as a test, and then not being able to transfer it back and be without it for 2 weeks...... If this is indeed the case, there should be an IMMEDIATE announcement, or people will find themselves without their shared stuff.... (for a while)

I've just had a rather worrying error. My second, in fact; my first is currently with the bug team so I won't go into it here.

I created a character on Belegeir, let's call her Ophelia. I got her to level 2, to be on the safe side, then transferred her to Laurelin.

I got an email saying "Character 0x... was not transferred" and advised a ticket had been generated and support would look into it.

Ophelia didn't make it to Laurelin. However, she was also no longer on Belegeir.

I remade her on Belegeir.

I have no idea now where that first character is.

REALLY hope this doesn't happen to one of my level 100s!

I can't get onto Bullroarer. Are we NOT supposed to be testing ON BULLROARER? Why are people posting here about trying out transferring among EU worlds? I am totally confused. The original post here says Bullroarer is open, but I'm not finding that to be the case. No one is posting anything about transferring from BR to Palantir and back. Does that mean no one is testing it? *frustrated*

You need to download it first, it is a separate launcher from the live game. There is a thread in this forum with links and instructions. The server is not up for testing at the moment though.

The Bullroarer server is currently down.

Note the "if"...so potentially never, since last week they intended to allow live transfers.
