Update 22: Legacy of the Necromancer will be 795 LOTRO Points in the LOTRO Store, and of course free to our VIP players.

how can it cost 795LP when its free for everyone that purchased Mordor as written here?

does that somehow reduce the Mordor expansion to 1700LP in price?

That is specifically referring to the Black Book of Mordor quest line (which you can only access if you have purchased Mordor). It makes no mention of the Strongholds of the North region.

That post says THE BLACK BOOK OF MORDOR is free if you purchased Mordor, not the update quests.

Correct. Access to the Black Book of Mordor content is available to anyone who has purchased the Mordor expansion, while the new Legacy of the Necromancer content is available in the LOTRO Store or free to VIPs.

Seems that the other thread that I replied in has now been locked.
However, my reply in that thread was an EXACT copy/paste from the patch notes as they appeared when first posted.

Players who have purchased the Mordor expansion automatically have access to this new content.
Looks like the patch notes have been since changed to....

Unfortunately, you took that line out of context. It was talking about the Black Book of Mordor and then said that content was free. It never said ALL the new content was free.

Players over think and over analyize everything.
If it said Red, someone would have a believable explanation why during the 3rd Age it was common for Hobbits to use the word "reauid" shortened to red, but actually means the color attributed to the scale color of Smaugs belly... which as we all know is Yellow..... no I mean BLUE!!... argggggghhhhh

MAWorking had the highest post count on the pre-beta LOTRO forums. He was truly an icon and clearly, hasn't changed a bit. -Meghan/aka Patience

Yup. They changed it and made it more clear.
With the new version, I'd never have asked about it...

    They do, don't they.

Someone asked a question, and I posted a reply that I copied from the patch notes. The patch notes then got changed.
    Who's overanalyzing who?

VIPs pay ahead, it is not trully free, it is only fair that they don't get charged twice.

It's not free, you're renting. Unless you've a lifetime account, in which case you paid years ago.
