Can instruments be played from the carry-all, or must they be removed first? Wondering if it's compatible with SongbookBB.

I'm upset. I wanted the carry-all for my main on Crickhollow, but ended up getting it on Laurelin, because I logged on there, thinking that we wouldn't get the gift until the server turnover at 3am Eastern. Would have been nice to have had a warning, it won't be nearly as useful for me now.

Edit: I put in a ticket, maybe this can get fixed?, otherwise, sigh...

Our Kin leader has found the following so far:-
It does not play well with SongbookBB and instrument quickslots. Or the music system at all, for that matter. Here are some issues:
1) Moving instruments into the bag clears out existing quickslots in SongbookBB
2) As far as I can tell, there is no way to equip the instruments directly from the bag to SongbookBB. You can't assign them to quickslots if they are in the carry-all bag.
3) Indeed, you can't even equip the instruments directly from the bag. You need to first move it back into your regular inventory, and then equip it from there, before entering music mode.
4) You can only move instruments from the carry-all and back into your regular inventory one by one. There is no "empty the bag" option.
5) Moving instruments into the carry-all bag clears their "locked" status, so you may accidentally end up selling them once they are back in your regular inventory.

Sadly this makes it kinda useless in its current state. Hopefully RadPanda can at least make this compatible with the popular SongbookBB.

Unfortunately, This also happened to me. Main server Landroval, and logged into Arkenstone . A wee hobbit mini on Arkenstone has the carry all I wanted on my main character on Landroval

Why have I not seen that before?
Are you sure ALL the currency goes there? For example Gift brands from RT? Those flower vials from the Wastes? Riddermark coins? etc

OH and it is account wide I will add, so one time purchase. Best investment ever.

Thank you for the VIP gift. I, too, got my carryall on a different server than I would prefer. I actually didn't even realize I had received it until later. In any event, this is such I nice item to receive, instead of the pig gifts, that I can't complain.

Since the revamped Hobbit gifts and the addition of VXP tokens, together with the announcements of +20% virtue bonus coming up next month (6/11/20@10am to 6/15/20@3am) added to the suggestion that transfers are weeks away rather than months it's been prudent to save VXP tokens on other servers in readiness. Gifts might have included VXP accelerators also, so an ideal time to make the most of it.

So in the hope that the planets align and it all comes together in time I intend to make the most of the virtue gains, I'd imagine others will have done this also given how much virtue earning potential was removed from the game in the virtue revamp. So my normal session begins with logging on to servers in the "group "I don't play on to gather the Hobbit gifts.

I'm fortunate to have remembered and logged on my main server first because of the issues we have had with this delivery system since MM release. Have none of the suggestions to stop players falling fowl of it been taken on board?

Additionally, given that accelerators and bonus days exist now and it's to our advantage to save them how is it that the vxp tokens don't stack or can't be placed in their own Carry-all, small would do it?

same but I logged creep as my freeps were stuck, logging creep oftentimes releases the characters from loading screen. I got it on creep....now thats completely useless...…..waiting for over a day for my ticket to be answered tho.

didn't even think about the carry all being available on creepside as they cant use it

It's not a complete loss, though you'll have to wait awhile. +Cordovan said on his stream that once they get server transfers back up, you'll be able to transfer it over to where you want it.

I made the same mistake, only I logged into check my character on the legendary server Anor. Since there are not transfers between legendary and main servers am i just an extra unlucky one?

Seems likely since no transfers between LS and main servers. Luventhariel is likely to keep you company since no transfers between EU and US servers either so restoring transfers is unlikely to help either of you sadly.

I love you, SSG. Seriously. Decorating is my endgame, and I have three alts who store all of my housing items, and 9 huge houses full, and I have needed a Housing Items Carry-All since forever.

I also have 3 housing storage alts on top of 2 premium houses which I now use as slots for storage, and 3 racial kin houses + regular houses. I welcome the housing carry-all too, but given the numbers of housing items which exceed even our exemplary storage systems! what I would like is a mirror of shared storage both as this would give us 310/320 slots and include tabs for organizing decorations. (I would actually like this for all the carry-alls not only for space and ability to get things all in one place but as limited ability to organize items in carry-alls is a pain.) Shared housing storage could be accessed via vaults same as shared storage and wardrobe and/or via the housing icon on mini-map and should allow all chars on account to place and remove items so any char can decorate (eg don't need Seeker of Deep Places to move Sinister Keg). Decorator's heaven!!

Another thing I would LOVE is menu storage for consumables - by this I mean ability to buy a new 10 slot menu bar that accepts consumables to get them out of our bags and make them more readily accessible given many/most of us lack space to do this on our main menu bars. Morale and power pots x 3 and more varieties, universal heal pots, in and out of combat potions of restoration, 4 effects (wound etc) heal pots, 1-4 class consumables, morale, fortifying, trail foods, battle and warding scrolls, Attack damage, mount run speed, scrolls of defense, finesse, morale and power scrolls and likely a bunch I have forgotten to list as well. Ability to buy even 1 bar to get 10 of these items out of my bags would free up space to put others of them into my bag and make them more readily usable into the bargain.

For the moment tho, the Housing Carry-All is small step towards sane inventory management and greatly appreciated by me too

Dol Amroth coins do not go into the Premium Wallet, for example.

Housing, Instrument, and even Essence Bags need to be horizontally increased because there is not much, if any, to the Vertical.
