Lord of the Rings Online™ can be played for free, large portions of content is attainable simply by playing. In addition to these unlocks, there are several items available in the LOTRO Store, ranging from experience boosts and cosmetic gear to additional high-level content or premium classes like the Warden and Rune-keeper .
To open the LOTRO Store in-game, look towards the bottom-right of your screen for the LOTRO Store button and click it:
Alternatively, you can press Ctrl + S on your keyboard to open the LOTRO Store. Whichever method you prefer, the LOTRO Store panel will appear:
To add LOTRO Points to your LOTRO account, you may need to add a form of payment. To do this, click the "My Account" button in the upper-right corner of the LOTRO store panel:
Once you've added information (or if you have a Points card, in lieu of adding payment information) click on the "Add Points" button to add points to your wallet:
Buying More Points
Below is the 'Add Points' page, seen after clicking any 'Add Points' button. If you've entered a form of payment (see above) you can click a 'Buy Now' button to purchase the adjacent bundle.
Additionally, if you have a LOTRO Points card, enter the code written on the card to redeem your Points:
Bigger bundles offer larger amounts of bonus Points, so it's recommended that players take long-term purchasing into consideration when buying additional LOTRO Points. It's also possible to earn LOTRO Points just by playing the game -- completing in-game objectives known as Deeds will earn you Points as you progress on a free character.
