Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
ATTENTION: Kinship Recruiters. This thread is NOT for your advertisements. This thread is for people who are looking. Respect this rule, please. PM those who may be of interest to you.
Use this thread if you are undecided on a kinship (guild) or are confused by how many there are and what server to choose.
I encourage you to post sufficient information about yourself so that recruiters will know if they are interested in you or not.
For example:
Your name, or character name and race (if known):
Age: (some kinships have real life age limits)
Preferred server(s), if any. (This is not needed, just for kinship info.):
Location. (Timezone preferences if any, state/country, etc.):
Playstyle. (Solo, group, PvE, PvP, RAIDs, casual, hardcore, end-game, RP, no RP, time limited, crafter, “I don’t know, I’m new to this kind of game”, etc.):
MMO games you’ve played:
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?:
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters):

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Perhaps we can get this thread set up as a sticky to prevent it from falling down the line?

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Excellent thread idea!
Name or character name: Unknown at this time (can't make one until tomorrow :D )
Age: 24
Location: USA; MST timezone.
Playstyle: Solo for when I can't find groups, but prefer to be in groups of similar level people. Eventually when I reach endgame, it would be nice to have enough people to do all the end game content with.
MMO games you’ve played: FFXI, WOW, SWG (Not currently playing them all, just have before)
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?: I'm an adult and I act like one. I don't swear every other word and I don't argue over pointless stuff for the sake of arguing. I'm open minded and will always be willing to take advice from others and follow directions in groups. I have experience in the MMO world, so I'll already know the bassics like aggro, pulling, main tank, off tank, etc.
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters): I'm looking for a kinship with mature people. To me, mature dosen't mean a certain age, it means people who don't act like children. What I don't want to see is people or kinships with names like "1c4Mp4lLd4y" or "$$havens$$" or anything else that uses numbers/symbols in place of words/letters or alternating upper and lower case letters. Casual is better to me than hardcore also. I don't want to feel forced into leveling instead of enjoying the game. A functional website is a must. A kinship that will help it's members is a must.
Well, hope that covers it :D

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Hello,
I’m interested in joining a Kinship that is:
o Organized, yet laid back. A casual atmosphere is nice and I have no interest in being part of a Hardcore Gaming Kinship for the simple reason of….I have a life. I have a job, a life, and a wife. I play for fun because it’s what I enjoy. This does not mean that a laid back Kinship can not be organized and helpful. You’ll find that if you actually PLAN events at least a week in advance, many more people can make your event. If someone misses an event, be willing to go back and help that person out. This all, of course, leads me to…
o Team orientated, but value individual play. I surely don’t need or want the pressures of, “Dude…where were you….we needed to raid X site for X period of time”. F that…no thanks…go away. I’ll be there when I can and I will help when I can. Understand that I will not help every time I login as I may not have a certain quest, level, etc. to actually help or, just simply, I do not want to help. At the same time, understand that if I can help…I will.
o Mature, but can still be free to tell a few naughty jokes. Don’t be offended by adult content & themes, but knows when too much is too much. Have a sense of humor and enjoy the game. I emphasize this…because it is a game not a life. Enjoy it!
o Drama free is a must. This includes begging, players with the inability to be self-sufficient, getting offended because I make a joke about an actual woman that plays that I’ve know far longer or better then you…and you get offended and try to “defend her honor” when she and I both know we’re joking. Yeah…how sweet…go away.
o Role-playing? I don’t mind a little ingame roleplay, but I’m not entirely sure I want a Kinship that is devoted to pure role-playing. I do, however, enjoy a little bit of RP in such simple things as Names. A kinship with a good name and good “background” is always intresting to me. Getting involved in the story of a Kinship, world, and people is always fun (^_^) (you know my character is gonna have a background (/^_^)/ )
o Don’t be time zone specific. As I’ve said before, I play FFXI regularly and one of my favorite things is being in a Linkshell (guild) with people from Japan, Europe, Australia, and America. It truly is a fascinating and fun experience when you have some many different cultures sharing a common joy (^_^)
o PvP. To be honest…I’ve never been big on PvP in MMO’s for the simple reason that 90% of the time…it’s not a match of skills, but a match of “Who’s got the best equipment”. If you PvP, don’t expect much interaction from me. If I can avoid it all together, so much the better.
You’ll notice that all of my comments ride a very thin line. It’s been my experience that some of the best Guilds are the ones who know how to ride that line juuuuust right.
As for me?
30+ years old. Have a job that requires a lot of OT at times, so I will not be present for all events. I’m mostly a weekend warrior. If I play during the weekdays, I’ll only be on for about an hour… maybe 2, tops. I’m very laid back and I do like to have fun (hence all my funky smiley faces above). I have no problems with helping out on Missions, Quests, etc and I find that I do enjoy helping when I can. I can say that I will be a Hume Guardian as, going through beta, it was something that I did enjoy. I will also be an Armorsmith as I did find that Crafting chain to actually hold my interest as well. As far as MMO’s are concerned, I’m playing FFXI and have played SWG, Ragnarok, and a bit of WoW (didn’t like it that much at all). I enjoy the world of LotR and am an explorer at heart. I listen in events that leaders need to talk for and will lead in events that leaders are needed. All in all, I enjoy this world and this game and I would hope that I can find a kinship that feels the same.
Quick Update: I'm currently located on the Meneldor Server
Update: Kinship found. Thank you everyone :)

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Name or character name: Unknown at this time (can't make one until tomorrow )
Age: 34
Location: USA; EST timezone.
Playstyle: Solo for the most part, I have a lot of time on my hands presently, so I can hook up most anytime for groups though.
MMO games you’ve played: First one really, I played some UO, using a friends character years ago, and enjoyed it.
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?: Maturity, RPG experience, Lore knowledge, analytical thinker, above average intellect, and yet, I still like to have fun and laugh here and there! Did I mention I can be online just about anytime?
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters): Well, being my first MMO, I am sure that this will vary from time to time. Probably would be best to be a part of a group close to my age to start. One with tabletop RPG experience would be nice, but not necessary. I would like to be a part of a group that would be respected by others and looked up to. A group that is not selfish or cold in regards to themselves and to other non Kinship players.
I plan to act as if I were really there in ME...i.e. Role Play once I get my feet wet. I hope to acquire voice when I and others feel I am ready for such a step. .
Now, I will admit that I am very strongly into Lore. I see much deviation, but can accept it and have even rationalized much of it. But I am not much for Hobbits acting as tank or Lore Masters that are more into casting Power spells rather than amplifying the rest of the group etc.
I wanted to make this shorter, but got carried away...sorry.
If you have any questions, feel free to PM me.
Kinda feels like going through Rush in the college fraternity days!

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Name or character name: Not sure yet - will know tommorrow for sure.
Age: 35
Location: PDT - Nevada
Playstyle: I like playing solo, but also enjoy group questing - depends on how I feel.
MMO games you’ve played: SWG, CoH/CoV, MxO, VG.
What do you offer kinships?: I work graveyards, and get home around noon, spend roughly 3-4 hours everyday, and on my weekends, good luck getting the keyboard outta my hands. Like playing support toons more than anything, and definitely crafters.
I had two PMs, before the old forum wipe, from an Aaron and one from a Mel... both were in the same guild (guild name started with an A) before I could reply to either of you, they had pulled the plug... would like to further discussions if you're still here.
What kind of kinship you are looking for.: Relaxed atmosphere, this is my fun time and when it gets to seem more like a 'job' than my real job it's time to quit.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
yup, I am looking for some online friends to join up with. =)
Name or character name: not sure yet
Age: 34
Location: CST
Playstyle: I really like to solo and take my time exploring (seems like a contradiction that I want a kinship, but read on...)
MMO games you’ve played: EQ, EQ2
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?: ummm, I am friendly, and my toon will be cute :D
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters): I am looking for a casual kinship, I am RL female married with kids, so people in the same boat as me would be great, maybe kinships more couple oriented, in case I talk my hubby in to playing. I mainly want a kinship for the social aspect, with occasional grouping :)

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Hi all. I've been trying to get in contact with the Riders of the Riddermark (to join up :), but I haven't heard anything back after sending my application. I also can't post anything on their official web site, even though I've signed up.
If anyone from that Kinship sees this, let me know!
cheers

Lfg
Name or character name:unknown
Age: (some kinships have real life age limits) 44
Location: Time zone preferences if any, country, etc: EST
Playstyle: PvE, RAIDs, casual & hardcore (depending on RL time constraints), light role playing
MMO games you’ve played: DAoC (since day 1), WoW (beta and then lightly), Shadowbane (disappointment there).
Why kinships should be interested in you?: I like to group, and don't confuse in-game money or items for having real value. The game is pretend: the players are real people.
What kind of kinship you are looking for: I like to play the game for itself, I am willing to play to help someone, just to play to help someone. I have a strong sense of humor. I like to stick to one char on one server.
I'm open to what server I will play on.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Character name:
Unknown yet, something hobbitsounding.
Age: (some kinships have real life age limits)
I'm 35 in real life with a family and children.
Location: Timezone preferences if any, country, etc.
US time zone, but working 2nd shift 3 PM - 11 PM CST
Playstyle: solo, group, PvE, PvP, RAIDs, casual, hardcore, end-game, RP, no RP, time limited, crafter, “I don’t know, I’m new to this kind of game”, etc.
RP, Crafting, and especially love the Tolkien books and background material.
MMO games you’ve played:
Gemstone III, DragonRealm, EQ, EQ2, WoW, SWG, and others.
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?:
I offer a mature family friendly person to enjoy the game with. In the past I've had successful business ventures in various games as it relates to what I do in real life and comes naturally.
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters):
I'm really looking to join a kinship that has a more long term view to the game. I'd like to participate over time learning all sorts of things and just having fun. As I plan on playing a Hobbit Hunter or Burglar. So a hobbit only kinship would be interesting, or one accepting many various members would also be of interest.
If possible it would be great to see a website or something dedicated to the various tasks and concepts that the kinship stands for. The communication between members I feel is important to build friendships with people and get to be able to play together more effectively.
I look forward to some feedback.
Thanks for your time.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Name: Pixiedust(elven hunter)or Ravenlynn(hobbit burg) are my mains...yes I tend to have alt-itis but I swear I am working on it
Age: 24
Location: NY, USA...EST time zone...or is it EDT right now....
Games of past: haha only DDO, my husband dragged me into it, we started a cute guild together which is still Very active but I left b/c the content got wicked stale for me and quite frankly I Love Lord of the Rings ;)
My playstyle is pretty casual with perhaps a touch of roleplay. I am really looking for a kinship that does alot of grouping, enjoys helping others and promotes a family like atmosphere. I have been playing beta since Beta 1 and I feel I could definitely help newer players. Like to have fun and take things easy but certainly know the time and place for more serious play...Great Barrows anyone?
Think my server is going to be Silverlode b/c it seems to have quite a few fun-loving folks so if you have a kinship on there that seems to be a good fit please send me a pm. I will certainly reconsider servers since it's so early in the game however.
Cheers!!

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Name or character name: My name is Luke but my character is named Maegnor, he's an elf guardian (got a good back story on him if you really want).
Age: 21
Location: USA, CST
Playstyle: I've never done this before but crafting and PvE sounds like my kind of thing.
MMO games you’ve played: None but I have a lot of experience in RPG's and I learn fast.
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?: I'm a pretty laid back guy but I'm also competitive and always want to be the best at what I do. I have a great sense of humor and get along well with others. I know LOTR well enough to be considered a nerd, but not obsessively.
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters): I want a kinship I can be proud of and be wanted. I'd like our kinship to be recognized and respected by other gamers (not now necessarily but someday). Also, I have a microphone headset that I just bought and I'd like to use for this game. Oh yea, and I pre-ordered so I'll be on in the next 24 hours.
p.s. I'm on Elendilmir so try and find me!

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Looking for a Kinship, which I guess is similar to a guild, to join. Haven't played alot of MMORPGs, played WoW til I found out how ridiculously boring it is.
I'm 24/m in the Boston area. People say I look like Frodo, but other people say I look nothing like him. Still, it is amusing when someone who I don't know brings it up randomly.
Just looking for a group that is non-hardcore about the game, and would make playing the game fun instead of a chore.
Shoot me a pm if you want me to join your Kinship. I'm looking at the Brandywine server, cause the name is freakin' sweet.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Name or character name:
Unknown at this time
Age: 44
Location:
USA; Pacific Northwest (PST).
Playstyle:
I'm perfectly happy playing solo but prefer to be in a group of guild members.
MMO games you’ve played:
Lineage I & II, Shadowbane, AC2, GW
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?:
I'm a team player who enjoys helping other guild members. I can follow direction and can lead if needed. I'm an adult and I act like one, no drama here.
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters):
I'm looking for a group of casual mature people who enjoy playing and being active in game and in guild but don't take themselves to seriously.
I have a wife and kids, a job and other responsibilities. In other words, I have a life away from the computer and if push comes to shove, they take priority. That been said, I do manage to get a fair about of play time in and am fortunate to have a wife that doesn't get to bent out of shape if I'm playing to much
My kids like to watch dad play on the computer and if I'm using TS or Vent, I like to have the sound playing through my speakers instead of my headset. So I would prefer to find a guild that the maturity spills over on to TS or Vent. I not talking about the occasional slip in the middle of battle but I prefer not have a constant rain of f-bombs dropping during casual conversation.
I'm playing the game for enjoyment. And while I look forward to end game raids, for me the fun of the game is the journey getting there and hope to find a guild that is ok with that.
Please PM me with information, I'm going to need to choose a server soon.:)

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Name or character name: Not yet decided, likely a human, Captain or Loremaster
Age: 28
Location: US (Indiana, thats EST I suppose?)
Playstyle: I am a rather casual player, like to explore the world and probably raiding later. I prefer PvE over PvP until now but the monster play sounds interesting. RP is definitive an option as long as its not to heavy.
I played WoW quite intense for 1 1/2 Years and I'm looking for a bit more casual experience. I intend to play around 12-20h per week and could think about one or two evenings a week for scheduled stuff as raids. I definitely dont want to end up having a second job in the game. RL goes first. Since I have no clue how endgame in LOTRO looks I can not tell right now if I like it or not.
MMO games you’ve played: UO and WoW
Why kinships should be interested in you: I'm a relaxed, non-competetive player, I don't take the game too serious and gold is not money. I have lowlvl Raid Experience in WoW (MC, Ony, BWL, Zul Gurub cleared). I am a dedicated crafter and sometimes farmer.
What kind of kinship you are looking for:
I am looking for a bunch of people who want to see everything the game has to offer but still have a life outside the game and accept the same from their kin. In germany I was part of an elder players guild and I would prefer something like this again. I am old and slow and I like that. Some out-of-game place for communication like a small forum would be nice.
I am not looking for people that want to beat every encounter as first on the server...
So far I am completely open which server I play on. I was a while in european closed beta and will be in open beta from tomorrow on. Would be nice to hear from you.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Name or character name:
Zeldain - Burglar or Champion
Age: 38
Location:
USA; Orlando, Florida(EST).
Playstyle:
Casual with a propensity to raid. In-depth crafter.
MMO games you’ve played:
SWG, WoW
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?:
I'm an end-game experienced rogue from WoW, looking for a more casual experience... just interested in a laid back atmosphere and absorbing the game for the story, some adventure and some good times. Also interested in crafting :)
I'm a mature player, 38 w/ family, and can committ to 3 days per week of scheduled guild events from 8pm - Midnight Eastern time.
I can bring alot to the guild in terms of ability, enthusiasm and reliability...
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters):
I'm looking for a group of casual mature people who enjoy playing and being active in game and in guild but don't take themselves to seriously.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Name or character name: Real name is Ryan character name probably Raskol/Raskolnikov (Crime & Punishment) or FLGM
Age: 16
Location: Central US
Playstyle: I like playing solo but I also enjoy groups, especially if I can become friends with the group. I'm usually a sword tank but with LOTRO I think I'll try to be a lot of different things. I like crafting both weapons/ armor and general items. The new musician thing sounds really cool as I am a musician myself so that'll be fun.
MMO games you’ve played:I played SWG a good while until CU which ruined the game for me. I then played Guild Wars which I still play periodically. During a period when my computer was down I played Kingdom of Loathing on an old Vaio :p. More recently, I played WoW and managed a lvl 15 in two days before my trial subscription ran out. Now, I've pre-orders the CE of LOTRO and I hope to be playing it for a while.
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?:(meh, the egotistical part) I'm a pretty good leader and I do enjoy helping people. I've been playing video games for a while so I'm bound to catch on to LOTRO pretty quick. I'm not one to flake out of a guild/clan/kinship so I'll stay and help the guild/clan/kinship along if need be. I HAVE WEBMASTERING SKILLS. Just FYI ;)
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters):I'm looking for a kinship open to a variety of people. I don't want all the members to be the same; I like a diversity. I want to join a kinship that's got plenty of people in it but not so much that it's not close. I'd like either a multi-class or strength-based-class group.
Sorry you had to read all that if you did. Thanks =)

I am seeking a kinship that is mature. I have raiding exp and willing to go on raid if my work and school schedule permit. I am unsure of the race or class , but possibly rolling towards Human or Elf.
I wouldn't mind joining a Role Players guild, since a little bit of role playing is always fun. If I sound like someone of interest let me know.

Looking for a Kinship
Name:TBA
Age:31
Location:Ohio, USA
Playstyle:Sometimes casual, sometimes hardcore.
MMO's Played:Anarchy Online, Matrix Online, WOW, Star Wars Galaxy, City Of Hero's/Villians, EVE Online (Free Trial), EverQuest II (Free Trial).
I have have been playing Lotro closed beta, and I am all ready to go with my pre-order for open beta. I will not be able to resist the 199$ lifetime offer, so I will be playing Lotro for quite some time. I prefer a kinship with people of mixed ages or my age range. (There is nothing worse then some 12 year old calling me a gimp and professing to own me and my mamas butt)...I am not interested in role playing either. Life is complicated enough...I would like a kinship that uses ventrillo or teamspeak. I am very helpful with people and very generous when it comes to shareing, crafting, and items...If I have it and you need it...It's Yours....I will not charge my kinship for items, help, knowledge, as I would not charge my own family...I am also a Star Trek fan and will be playing that MMO as well when it comes out in a couple years...

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Name or character name:
Will make my character when the servers are up again.
Age:
46
Location:
USA; EST timezone.
Playstyle:
I like to play solo but I know that many of the quest require a group. I'm looking for a kinship that has a good, easy going group of people. I also like to do light Role Playing.
MMO games you’ve played:
SWG. Dark Age of Camelot, Earth and Beyond, Everquest II (only for a short time). I've done more PnP games than MMO's. Been playing pnp D&D, off an on, since the 80's.
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?:
I guess my biggest selling point is my maturity. I'm very easy to get along with and seldom argue over things. I like to think that I'm open to others ideas and suggestions.
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters):
I'm looking for a kinship with people who are mature in their thinking and attitudes. Not looking to play with kids who always have to prove themselves to others or be the center of attention. As I said earlier I don't mind some role playing. In fact I think it would be very fun to role play. However I don't want to be in a kinship that has too many rules and restictions about RP'ing like ALWAYS be in chacacter ALL the time...even in the forums. That's too much like a job and I already have one of those. I'm here to have fun, kill orcs and other baddies and get to discover Middle-earth. I usually only play humans or elves. I tried hobbits and dwarves in closed beta and it just didn't click for me. I usaully play Gaurdians, Champions or Hunters. Thanks for reading my post and I hope to hear from you soon!

Looking for mature, friendly Kinship
Name or character name: Unknown right now.
Age: Let's just say I read Tolkien for the first time back in the 60's
Location: Washington, DC - I like to play between 5-10 PM EST (plus variable hours on weekends), and I hope to find at least some Kinship members who play similar hours
Playstyle: I love to solo, but also enjoy a good group. I'm an experienced gamer, with a lot of MMO experience.
MMO games you’ve played:
DAOC (4 years) and City of Heroes (3 years), with stabs at various others like WoW along the way
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?:
Experience, maturity, a great love of Tolkien and a genuine desire to help others in my Kinship and my group.
What kind of kinship you are looking for.
A mature group who doesn't pressure members to attend ALL Kinship functions (my real life schedule sometimes interferes with my gaming - curse the luck!), one which fosters a community but does not force participation at an artificial level (minimum number of posts, etc.), one which likes to help out other Kinship members, is friendly and likes to form groups with others in the Kinship but is also understanding of those who wish to solo from time to time. In summary: mature but laid back.
I look forward to talking to any and all of you on-line, and I'd be happy to chat if I'm not occupied.
Thanks for taking the time to read this, and best of luck to all!

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
name: n/a at this time...i plan to have a capt, champ, hunter, guardian of various races
age: 40+ i read the hobbit and lotr trilogy in very early 70's
location: Arizona, USA - i play at various times through out the day and evening
playstyle: i love to solo but enjoy grouping up for fellowship quests and pvmp
MMO games played/beta'd: UO, AC2, Eve, CoH/CoV, Vanguard, Dungeon Runners, WoW, Auto Assault, Guild Wars, Supreme Commander, CnC 3
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?:
Experience, maturity...i get along with everyone...everyone loves me. I can lead when i need to and follow when not. I beleive in doing anything I can to help those within my clan/guild/kinship with a "pay it forward" attitude. I also like to represent my kinship by going out of my way to help non-memebers and the community at large.
What kind of kinship you are looking for:
basicly one that is into a little bit of everything LotRO has to offer.
casual free-form RP via the say channel
one that is excellent to one another and helps those outside the group
one that believes and loves the lore as much as i do to the extent that members names are either from the lore or fit in naturally with it.
voice chat optional but not required
and while i enjoy grouping i also want a clan that doesnt mind me going off by myself to solo and explore.
:D

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Name or character name: Probably Nayla (creating new character today)
Age: 21, Husband is 23
Location: CST TEXAS BABY!!! PST ok as well.
Playstyle: semi casual, some end-game, medium to low requirements
MMO games you’ve played: FFXI for a year and a half, WoW for the same
Why kinships should be interested in you: I have been a GM for over 6 months to a semi casual raid guild on WoW and had much success with it. I have been in every kind of guild and linkshell..whatever you want to call it :P from very casual to hard core end game with many play restrictions and requirements. I have deep knowledge in all aspects of MMO gameplay (except maybe pvp) and will make it a point to be exceptional at any class I choose.
What do you offer kinships?: I can bring leadership, exceptional general mmo skills, and a player who learns quickly and will want to know the ins and outs of the game from beginning to end. Having run a guild myself sucessfully in the past, I have what it takes to organize, plan, mediate and ensure players enjoy the game while not putting too much pressure on them.
What kind of kinship you are looking for: I am new to this game, but it seems like I'll get the hang of it really quickly since it's UI and controls are so much like WoW. I am looking for a kinship that can offer simple aide and companionship; a leveling kinship that can level together, help each other out and hopefully progress into end-game in the future. I prefer tight knit communities rather than member ######, and STRONG LEADERSHIP is a must.
Thank you very much! Please contact me via PM. I will be willing to roll on whatever server has the most interest ^_^

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Character name:
Undecided atm, will play either a Guardian or Minstrel.
Age:
21
Location:
New York. Would prefer an eastern timezone guild, but will be able to work with just about any timezone.
Playstyle?
Solo alot, don't mind playing with groups either, hardcore.
MMO games you’ve played?
WoW, AO, Shadowbane, EQ2, COH/COV. Mostly played WoW and AO, others I have played but not for long.
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?
Lol, seems more like a job interview now. Uh, I'm very creative, fun to play with (at least that what most say), and I'm still very mature with these aspects. I learn how to play stuff quickly. I'm loyal to my guild/kinship, I've only been in a few, and the only reason I don't have one now is because my friends who I've been gaming with for many years are staying in WoW.
What kind of kinship you are looking for?
Grouping to level, and raiding at endgame. Mature is a must, I don't want to play with a bunch of kids. I had enough of them in the WoW community. Vent and Forums are definitely a must, if you don't have them or don't plan on creating some, please don't bother PMing me.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Hello all,
I'm 22 year old gamer living in the central time zone.
I played in the closed beta and I am thinking of creating a human captain, human champion, or a hobbit minstrel.
I am looking for a kinship with mature players who realize that I have a regular 7-3 full-time job. Also one that is somewhat organized and that has a great community feeling to it.
I am open to rp.
I'm relatively new to MMORPGs but not to video games.
I probably plan on playing about 10-20 hours a week.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
I've come to find that I'm far pickier than I thought I was when it comes to kinships/guilds/whatever you want to call them. I've been in a few, in a few different games, (CoH, WoW, D&D) and I've ended up disappointed, for the most part.
I'm 35, a husband, father, and musician. I love playing games like these, but there is a life going on in the real world as well. I live in Florida.
I was going to state what I was looking for in a kinship, but I think instead I'll note what kind of player I am, and maybe there's a kinship that's looking for me.
I play more during the week than on the weekends, as the band tends to be a bit busier then. I tend to play solo a decent bit, but enjoy groups quite a lot. I thoroughly enjoy helping others in-game...it's nice to feel useful.
I generally use the voice in the game, as I'm a slow typist, and am prone to typos. I don't generally role-play, but tend to get a kick out of those that do. I admire their own type of creativity. I am not some elitist, and don't really have any desire whatsoever to be the best anything in the game. I like to be good at something, but I'm not consumed with my own awesomeness.
Mostly, I'm interested in enjoying myself with others while playing, as long as it doesn't come at anyone's expense. I tend to be fairly cautious while playing, and would rather survive if I can. I'll put my toons in danger for the sake of saving someone else, but complete recklessness tends to wear on me. I like talking and joking around with others. and am not completely uptight about what people say, as long as there's some degree of respect for others. I can be a goofball...
I hope this isn't like reading War and Peace, I just wanted to cover as much as I could.
Oh, and by the way, I'm on the Landroval server

Tentatively looking for a Kinship
Server:Meneldor
Character names: Tarot & Vlad (so far)
Age: 34
Location: U.S. Eastern timezone
Playstyle: solo, casual, crafter
MMO resumè: Ultima Online, EverQuest (beta & release), Anarchy Online (beta & release), Dark Age of Camelot, The Sims Online (beta & release), City of Heroes, Star Wars Galaxies (beta & release), World of Warcraft (beta & release)
Why you want me: I'm an experienced MMO gamer and play at least a couple hours every evening after work, and way too much on weekends. I've been in LotRO since Alpha3. And I'm a L33T MOM. :p
What I'm looking for: A laid-back kinship with which I can socialize, quest, trade crafting materials and avoid idiots who pester me to join their kinships. I prefer to solo as much as possible. I like being self-sufficient. I play a lot, but I'm not into powerleveling. With the parts of LotRO that obviate solo playstyle, I'd like to find a solid kinship. I'm also looking for a group of people who won't need me to define words like "obviate." I'm not too interested in moving servers. In fact, the only thing that would get me to do so would be if several of my old AXIS guildmates from SWG were somewhere else.

I just like to have a good time, plain and simple. I like progress and I always look forward to the "oooh what happens next!?" or "what new place awaits me now!?"
What I'm looking for: A group of people who are also here to have fun. Who share a friend/family type atmosphere...a group I would be glad to call 'home' away from home. A group willing to assist others when they need help.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Name: Dusty (Character: Kyra, Minstril)
Age: 24
Location: Louisiana, Central Standard Time
Playstyle: solo, group, PvE, PvP, RAIDs, casual
Games I've played in the past: Wasn't introduced to MMO's untill about 3 years ago and I've spent 90% of that time on WoW. Also tried vanguard out for a month or so.
Why me?: I am a very laid back person, but don't confuse that with lazy. I've taken officer positions in past guilds and really don't mind leading a raid or putting forth that extra effort to help someone out.
What I'm looking for: FUN. I'm here to play something new and make some new friends along the way. I'm looking for a guild that plans on focusing on the end-game content 3 to 4 nights per week, and a guild that understands that RL is more important. Although I love raiding, I must say PvP is great with a good group of people. I'm not hardcore but I do love the competition of clearing new content. Hit me with a PM if you want to know more about me.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Name or character name: Konerak (server still undecided)
Age: 27
Location: NY, EST
Playstyle: I am more of a casual player. Would like to play group when I have the time but solo is how I usually go when I only have an hour to play or so.
MMO games you’ve played: UO, EQ, DAoC, SWG (very short), Asheron's Call (1 and 2), WoW
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?: Oh boy, now I get to make myself sound all sorts of awesome. :) But seriously, I like to be helpful when I can and get to know an interesting group of people.
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters): I am looking for a kinship that accepts a casual gamer in their midsts. I'm definately more of a casual player. But I would like to find a group of fun and interesting people to group up with and talk to over the course of playing the game. I bet that describes just about every kinship on here. :)
Another thing I was wondering is if there are any kinships out there of old AC2 players. I used to play that game (one of the games I played for the longest) and would like to see if there are any out there who played.
Thanks.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Hi All!
I grew up with Tolkien and have worn through several sets of the books in the 30 years since I learned about them. I am excited about getting to experience Middle Earth and enjoying it with other fans. I'm looking for a kinship to help enhance the experience.
Server: Elendilmir
Characters:
Khali - Dwarven Guardian
Musiel - Elven Minstrel
Age: 40 (almost 41! omg I feel SO old!)
Time Zone: Eastern
Play Style:
I solo a lot, but wind up helping other players as much as I can. I love grouping and really enjoy the Dragon raids we had going on Weathertop the last night of Closed Beta. Not a hardcore power leveler, I enjoy exploring and finding out what else the game has to offer. (Hey, we get to explore Middle Earth here, why would you want to miss out on that!) I do enjoy role playing, but not to the exclusion of chatting with other gamers.
Other MMOs: Everquest I & II, SWG
Type of Kinships:
I am looking for a kinship that is not too big and formal so as to lose touch with its members. I like some organization (required events, etc.), but I travel for my job and may be gone for 2-3 weeks at a time, several times a year. Having fun, casual friendships, chatting, helping each other and generally advancing the member characters and guild are what I am looking for. Let me know if you are interested or just send me a tell in game. I like to play with some people from the guild before committing myself. Thanks much!

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Server: Meneldor
Character names: Gilolas Elf Hunter, Gilther Elf Lore Master (so far)
Age: 41
Location: Germany (military) +6 from U.S. Eastern timezone
Playstyle: solo, casual teaming
MMO resumè: (Played) EverQuest 2, Star Wars Galaxies, World of Warcraft. (Playing) City of Heroes (in beta for new issue coming out), City of Villians (beta & release)
About me: I'm a Christian. I'm a team player and willing to help folks out. I play LoTRo at least a couple hours 3 or more times a week.
What I'm looking for: A mature, laid-back kinship with which I can socialize and quest I'd also like to find a solid kinship to avoid group leaders that hog all the resources or kick you from group because you don't have quest that match theirs or what they need. I prefer to solo but the spawns for a game like this make it difficult. Moving servers would not be a problem.

Illeynd
Your name, or character name and race (if known): Illeynd (Champion FTM) lvl 10
Age: 38
Preferred server(s), if any. Elendilmir
Location. Toledo Ohio
Playstyle: I am a solo player who loves to talk and enjoy challenges. I often attempt group quest by myself and try to figure a way to beat them inspite of the games intentions. I look to a guild / Kinship (i guess) to have access to information and find interesting things to do. If asked i'm very generous with my time and experiance. I enjoy helping others progress when i'm not working on a specific quest or issue.
MMO games you’ve played: WoW (from release 11/23/04, 4 lvl 60's, 1 70, 1 66, got very bored! lol)
Why kinships should be interested in you. mature experianced MMORPG player here for the long haul. My WoW days are over with the release of their "expansion" (very disappointed)
What kind of kinship you are looking for. I'm open really I play 5 or 6 days a week, I spent my first year in WoW hard core raiding, then the next leveling toons and having fun. I'm thinking now of a more centerist Kinship focused on enjoying this game, leveling, information gathering and disimination and possiblly exploring the end game stuff when it fully materializes.
Please note I'll likly level many different classes to 15 before deciding which to make my main I'll be working Illeynd for a few more days. Send me a mail if you think your guild is a good fit.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Ho There!
Looking for info on a Kinship!
Your name, or character name and race (if known): RL name is Pete, in game name still undecided atm.
Age: (some kinships have real life age limits) 32
Preferred server(s), if any. (This is not needed, just for kinship info.): Server undecided atm, but willing to start anywhere :)
Location. (Timezone preferences if any, state/country, etc.): NJ, USA, EST.
Playstyle. (Solo, group, PvE, PvP, RAIDs, casual, hardcore, end-game, RP, no RP, time limited, crafter, “I don’t know, I’m new to this kind of game”, etc.): I'm a hardcore casual and casually hardcore. I like the chance to relax and whoop' it up with some friends, take it slow and chill, but also rock out the content and get to work on the more difficult and challanging aspects of the game when needed.
I'm a Tank for life, been tanking since CoH, and currently 2+ years prot. spec Tank in WoW. I've MT'd in almost all of the older WoW content, 5, 10, 15, 20 and 40 man runs, and a few of the newer BC ones as well. I'd like to think I have a very good knowledge of basic rpg gameplay mechanics, like aggro, DPS, class balance needs, etc. I love to play with groups, and I love to tank, it's why I play these games, and since Tanking and Guilds are two great tastes that taste great together, I always seem to have a blast! Looking like a Dwarven Guardian will be my initial choice :)
Not big into PvP, more the PvE type, with goals of seeing all there is to see in the game. Will PvP for food, but if i'm not starving, i'll be teamed up and lost in a dungeon somewhere.
I enjoy the occasional RP element of mmorpg's, but I also enjoy the more conventional approach to socializing. With the right person/people, RP'ing can definitly add to the fun of the experience, but it's not a "need" for me personally. Unless you wanna RP about whips and chains. Then count me in :P
I'll have my sights set on end game raiding, whenever that might become an option, but I won't be rushing to get there and missing out on all of the fun along the way.
If the crafting is what I hope it to be, i'll be focusing on armor, since the guild can always benifit from a good armorer.
MMO games you’ve played: BF1942, CoH/V, WoW. Held Guild Officer posistions in BF and CoH, and led 2 Guilds in WoW.
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?: I offer a mature yet fun outlook and playstyle, with a focus on the group as a whole rather than the individual. I can be silly and stupid and x rated, but also intelligent, helpful, and generous. I can read strats, be active on forums, research info, be polite in general chat, and promote the good name of the guild as I adventure.
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters): I'm looking for a kinship that plays in Eastern Standard Time, with events/runs/raids planned for evenings EST. Someplece that will let me be who I am, without censoring my sometimes adult humor, and yet someplace that holds itself to a higher standard...hearing "Chuck Norris Pwns Your Moms Face" in guild chat might be funny once, but after the 500th time in 30 minutes, it gets annoying, lol.
My ideal kinship will be structured, with a website, VoIP, strong leadership, and mature members. Age is no factor, as I've played with 15 year olds who have shown more maturity than 40 year olds. Loyalty to the kinship is also a determining factor for me, as I've grown tired of watching the new wave of online gamers hop guilds whenever the wind shifted a different direction. I will give all I have to better the guild as a whole, but not if it has a revolving door of members constantly leaving, lol. As always, a helpful, caring, and fun memberbase will be important, and future goals of end game raiding, while not being uber l33t nazis about it, would be a great draw for me.
In a nutshell, I'm a fun and active player who enjoys the social aspects of mmorpg's, and believes that fun can be found in all kinds of different ways, from hardcore raiding to getting drunk and running naked through the streets to finding a quiet spot and shooting the breeze.
Feel free to shoot me a link of your website, comments, questions, or scantily clad pics at longhairpete@yahoo.com or hook up with me in game if I sound like the guy for your kinship!
Rock On!

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Looking for a kinship for me and my husband.
Name: Yumi (Captain) and Mokoto (Minstrel) Both lvl 15.
Age: I am 20 and my husband is 26
Server: Brandywine
Location: Arkansas - Central Time. We usually play around 7pm-11pm Central on weekdays and anytime on Saturday and Sunday.
Playstyle: We usually just duo together or grab the occasional person that is on the same quest we are on.
MMO games you’ve played: EQ, DAOC, FFXI, EQ2, WoW, Guild Wars, DDO, Beta Tested Eve and Vanguard, and a lot of Korean MMOs, lol. We get bored. We've also played America's Army, Battlefield 2142 and currently playing Counter Strike: Source.
What we are looking for in a kinship: We are looking for a small to mid size kinship that is about having fun and making friends. We don't care about loots or the "end-game". We just want to have fun, get together with some people that know what they are doing. Also, We don't mind dying over and over again in order to help someone or retrieve their corpse, oh wait, wrong game. :)

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Your name, or character name and race (if known):
-Intrepdmind, Elf (but willing to change if desired)
Age: 23
Preferred server(s): none really; Elendilmir right now, but I'll change servers if I find the right group:)
Location: I'm in California, USA (PST)
Playstyle: I have played in basically every type of playstyle you could imagine. With LOTRO I will start as a casual gamer (for about 5-10 weeks so I can finish my Thesis:) ) and will devote a lot more time thereafter.
MMO games you’ve played: EQ, EQ2, Ragnarok Online, FFXI, SWG, Guild Wars, Lineage II, WoW, Vanguard; alpha tested some, beta tested all, played all to top tier brackets.
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?:
Most of all my devotion to my kinmates. Studying for my medical degree, I have a natural tendency to care for my kinmates more than others might, and thus typically roll healing-class characters. I put a lot of time and energy into fulfilling the needs of the kinship, whether it be to aid a lowbie complete a few quests, or in healing capacity in top tier raids. I shy from none, and step up to any challenge given. With about 10 years of MMO experience under my belt, I have the ability to slide into most groups effectively and tend to enjoy myself doing practically anything from soaking up game lore and roleplaying, to hardcore teamspeak/ventrillo driven raids. I'm definitely one of the most dependable folks to have around: if I say i'll be present for a raid, and something else comes up, I'll be present at the raid unless my house is burning down. I have both effective leadership experience and the willingness to follow others as needed. I really enjoy taking a more personal approach in getting to know my kinship, talking with them via vent/ts etc. and also engaging in a bit of conversation other than MMO stuff once in awhile!
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters):
Well organized, dependable, TIGHT KNIT kinships. I will join a large kinship if I find it to be appropriate for me, but at the same time I dont want to feel lost in the crowd. I like to see kinships that have a website that is visited and utilized frequently, or at least an interest in building one. While not necessary, if a kinship plans on doing a lot of raid activity, I like to know that most of them will join me in strategizing and executing plans over Vent/TS. I prefer kinships that don't ridicule and harrass or shun lowbie players in favor of having a completely top level kinship. Most of all, while I do stick to my main class (healing) and actively pursue growth, I like to try out other classes once in awhile, and would hope that my kinship would be tolerant of that! Potential for status growth within the guild~

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Your name, or character name and race: Aeryn (elf hunter L15) , Alicia (woman captain L15), Aristotle (elf LM L12)
Age: 20
Preferred server if any: Meneldor
Location: US eastern time- NY
Playstyle: Honestly, I don't really know. I haven't played any online games since Diablo 2 and that was years ago, but so far from what I've seen, I like playing in a group but don't mind solo-ing it.
MMO games you’ve played: Diablo 2..uh, if that's even considered an MMO (lol. Yes, I'm noob to the MMO world)
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?: I'm currently taking some time off school so I have a lot of time to lay away to this game, so you can be sure I'll be pretty devoted to playing. Hmm..well this is technically my first MMO in ages so I don't really have much experience which is one of the main reasons why I want join a tight knit kinship. Oh yeah, and I'm super friendly :)
What kind of kinship you are looking for:
-Friendly, relaxed chill group of people
-Lots of group playing, helping each other out
-A place to make some friends
-Someplace I can learn the ropes with this MMO stuff (I'm still trying to figure out some of the lingo lol)
& I think that's about it! You can msg me at any of those names listed above, this game is like crack to me so I'm on a lot. Thanks!

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Age: 24, turning 25 on April 9th
Preferred server(s): Any server, haven't found a "home" yet
Location: PA, US... EST (-5 GMT)
Playstyle: I like a mixture of play styles. I'm looking for a kinship that's a lot of fun to be in, mature players, and if we have a "hardcore endgame" group, I'd like to be part of it, but it's certainly not necessary.
MMO games you’ve played: I've played EQ, EQ2, and WoW.
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?: I'm a mature player, I have a wife and 4 year old daughter, so my play time is only when they're not home. I spent roughly 3 years with EQ and EQ2, and I played WoW since it debuted back in 2005. I love helping out friends and explore new areas.
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters): Like I said previously, my primary desire in a kinship is one that's just lots of fun to play with. I work 3rd shift (10pm to 6am), so my play time is usually from 7am to 12pm, or 12pm to 5pm, usually depends on what kind of guild i'm in, my schedule is pretty flexible.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Your name, or character name and race (if known): Bill. (Haven't started a character just yet, looking for a group of people to play with before beginning on any particular server.)
Age: 17
Preferred server(s), if any: The one with the most competent kinship with the most interesting people.
Location: Texas, would prefer central or Eastern guild, but not a huge deal for me either way.
Playstyle. (Solo, group, PvE, PvP, RAIDs, casual, hardcore, end-game, RP, no RP, time limited, crafter, “I don’t know, I’m new to this kind of game”, etc.):I'm a very group-oriented gamer. I don't like to solo, but I'm by no means dependent on other people to help me constantly, and will do things that can be done by myself alone. I played WoW for a couple years, led raids, among other things. I'd like to think I'm a generally laid back and helpful person, and as long as the majority of people aren't completely ignorant, I won't ***** or moan.
In terms of playtimes, I play a lot, a whole lot. I like to get things done quickly and efficiently, but I also like to mess around and have fun sometimes too. And there is a place for both, so I'd prefer gamers who can differentiate the appropriate time for both.
MMO games you’ve played: Lineage, Lineage II, WoW, RO
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?:Because I'm amazing. Haha, no, because I'm helpful to other people, I participate in discussions and would like to assume I add to them. I know when to shut up, and I know when to express my opinions and concerns, and what medium to do it through. If I've got a problem I'm not going to throw a fit or *****-foot around it, I'll come straight to the guild leader/whoever I have the problem with and attempt to discuss it without causing drama or lashing out insults.
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters): I'm looking for no special kinship in particular. On one hand, I'd enjoy a small guild that's just beginning that I can grow to be in a tight-knit kinship and watch the guild grow and form around my decisions/help. On the other, however, I'd like to join a well-established guild for faster progression, more people to talk to, and a more fleshed out system.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Hey all-I'm never MMOed before so I'm looking for a kinship who is willing to be patient with me in the learning process. I'm a huge LOTR fan which is why I pre-ordered.
In game name: Jrom-lvl 10 dwarf guardian (however I'd like to start a few characters during beta so I'm not sure which one I'll stick with).
Age: 31
Server: My dwarf is on Gladden but other than that, I don't care.
Location: Kansas City
Playstyle: casual, mature, not too much rp but don't mind some, overall fun. I like to group but don't mind soloing. Monster play is cool once in a while.
Experience: I have rpged some but not a ton.
Kinship: I'm looking for a laid back, friendly kinship who's not going to go insane if I make a mistake once in while (which I may do since I'm new to this stuff-although I'll try not to:))

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Your name, or character name and race: Name's in the air, but planning either a Lore-Master or Champion of Man
Age: 25
Location: SoCal, PST prefered
Playstyle: I'm defintely a small-group gamer. I like getting 5-7 people together, lay out a plan on what to go kill/conquer, then get on with it. Bigger groups/raiding is okay, but I always feel like people get washed away in the shuffle. I hate solo-grinding because honestly, i'm not paying for multiplayer game to be by myseff.
MMO games you’ve played: Just about everything, some EQ, EQ2, DAoC, EVE, DDO, WoW, FFXI, SWG, I've always been one to check out everything that comes out.
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?: Over the course of my gaming, I've filled just about every possible role a kinship would use, from banker and crafter/salesman to a main tank, healer, damage or what ever the situation may need. I know what I'm doing, when to listen, when to follow orders, and when to give them.
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters): Casual group, few nights a week, people to kick back and chat with during the evening.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Your name, or character name and race (if known): My name is Ryan, I have a hobbit minstrel on brandywine - lvl 9, and a man burglar on nimrodel - 11, and I started a loremaster on nimrodel as well(mins- Valaro, burg- Valrandir, lm- Valthalion)
Age: (some kinships have real life age limits): 23
Preferred server(s), if any. (This is not needed, just for kinship info.): I have some toons started on brandywine and nimrodel, but I can go anywhere, I was honestly hoping to find a roleplaying server, but it doesn't seem like Turbine thought it would be needed at this point.
Location. (Timezone preferences if any, state/country, etc.): USA, EST, I work second shift currently, 2-11pm (unless I work overtime then it's like 1, or 3 am)
Playstyle. (Solo, group, PvE, PvP, RAIDs, casual, hardcore, end-game, RP, no RP, time limited, crafter, “I don’t know, I’m new to this kind of game”, etc.):
Well obviously I like to play with others. I don't mind soloing, and sometimes it's preferable, but I enjoy grouping and talking while I play. I like the crafting system in this game so I'll definitely be crafting on all of my characters. I like roleplaying. I'm not a big fan of raiding, but I don't mind doing it. I like pvp a lot, but I'm not expecting much from this game.
MMO games you’ve played: I've been playing mmorpgs for a while now. Basically if it came out in North America I've played it for some amount of time.
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?: I don't mind playing support classes, such as healer or crowd control. I actually find it to be fun. I can play anything, and will play whatever a guild needs the most.
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters): I'm looking for a kinship that has a good mix of hardcore and casual players. People who are looking to have a lot of fun while they play this game. I'm not looking for people who are only interested in leveling as fast as possible, or whose main focus is getting the best equipment in the game. I prefer a laid back, casual atmosphere. It's best if everyone has a good sense of humor, but knows when to get serious so we're not wasting anyone's time either. :) I prefer to put the group's needs ahead of my own when possible.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Name: Lagaroth - Dwarf - Guardian (Lvl 13 as of April 9)
Age: 17
Preferred Server: Arkenstone <== Must be on this server!
Location: Malaysia +8 GMT
Play style: Casual
Other MMO's: FFXI, Ragnarok Online
Kinship Preferences: I would like to be part of a casual Kinship, with no requirements, I do not want to feel pressured into logging on or levelling, I like to play when I feel like it, I have a life and other things to do as well! :P Kinships with characters around my level and just starting out in LOTRON would be preferred. And i love questing and hunting for ore!
I want intelligent mature company that I can be friends with! Not brats with numeric names (l3g0l4as), that go's for the kinship as well!
PM in game or leave me a message on the forums! Thanks! =D

Seeking guild--BRANDYWINE
Brandywine Server;
30 year old seeking mature guild.
main MMORPG experience includes UO; EQ; DAoC; CoH/V; AA; DDO; WoW; Beta-tested many of those. Experienced in groups, endgame, some PvP.
Currently playing: lvl 15 minstrel-scholar; 8 captain-tinker; 6 loremaster-explorer; unsure which will be the main once open game starts though likely minstrel.
I offer: Dedicated, intend to craft, and will show up for guild events when able. I do not "guild hop", greif, beg for money/favors, whine, and generally avoid drama. I do aid guildmates, offer crafting services free or for mats if I dont have them, and prefer to group with guildies.
I am looking for: Serious players, though not hardcore. RL has to come first, but do not want a guild that has players make token appearances once a month. That being said, if you insist that all of your players log 5 hours per day every day; you're a bit too hardcore for me ;) A guild with helpful people who are commited to their members and to enjoying the game is perfect! Basically; if your guildname is relatively fantasy-appropriate <or at least amusing> your members are helpful and enjoyable to group with I'd love to become a part of it. If your guildname is similar to "DoOdZ of RoxxoR" and you are composed of mainly 12 year olds on powertrips; thanks and gl to ya!

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Bynot (May play with a different name: no ingame characters yet)
Age: Over 25
Preferred server: None, don't have a character yet:
Location: CST - USA - Usually evenings and some weekends
Playstyle: Prefer to group up. If the Kinship has consistant groups in my level I'd even primary as a healer. Love PvP.
Why kinships should be interested in you: Im a great guy who play maturely and loves to play on a good team. Open to any class or role, just like to group adventure of MMOs
MMOs Played: LOTRO A2-B4, EQ2, WoW
What kind of kinship you are looking for: Fairly mature players, but doesn't need to be an adults only guild. MUST HAVE A VOIP SERVER WITH PEOPLE ON IT!!. Also looking for a guild that likes to play togother most of the time. I feel if you want to mainly solo buy a single player RPG.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Your name, or character name and race (if known):
Character name is Rivan, race is human, and I am a burgler
Age: (some kinships have real life age limits)
RL age is 21
Preferred server(s), if any. (This is not needed, just for kinship info.):
No real preferred server.
Location. (Timezone preferences if any, state/country, etc.):
Eastern timezone
Playstyle. (Solo, group, PvE, PvP, RAIDs, casual, hardcore, end-game, RP, no RP, time limited, crafter, “I don’t know, I’m new to this kind of game”, etc.):
I enjoy working solo and in groups. Not a big fan of RP however I don't have a hatred or anything for it. So far I have been enjoying alot of crafting. Other than that I am relatively new to MMO's and really don't know.
MMO games you’ve played:
As I said I am relatively new to MMO's. I have played a few trials but nothing of this style before. I have played many MUD's over the years and am well versed in RPG's, however the whole graphics thing is still a bit new to me.
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?:
I am a very friendly person and get along with basically everyone. I am always up for some group activities or for helping someone else. I am by no means hardcore but I do have time to play and will play regularly.
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters):
I am basically looking for a kinship that is mainly like a family. A group that is very close knit and gets along well. Actually doing raids and large group activities are not as important as just some general help every now and again. This by no means I am looking for a group that is devoid of activity and just hangs out all the time.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Shavani
Human Burglar
28 (Married)
Server: Elendilmir
Easter time zone but mainly play during the daytime and rarely on weekends.
Casual gamer, would like to do some raiding but cannot keep up with a nightly schedule anymore.
Be easier to list MMO's I havent played. You can ask me for my gaming history is you want. I'm an ex-powergamer in rehab.
I'm looking for a close knit kinship to have fun playing the game with. Friends to play are what make an MMO good or bad.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Server: Nimrodel
Name: Bourque
Class/Race/lvl: Dwarf Champion, made 10 today
Prev MMO: WoW, DAoC, Everquest
Zone: Pacific
Style: Casual
Kinship seeking: Select * where 1337 d00dz = 0. I plan to play an hour or so every other day, a couple hours on weekends, ideally with folks more interested in game goals (quests, advancing craft skills, et. al.) than arguing over 'ph@t lewts'. Don't really want to grind, if I can avoid it.
See you online!

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Your name, or character name and race (if known):Ben, character name is Jenbu or some form of it.
Age: I am 16, turning 17 this year.
Preferred server(s), if any. (This is not needed, just for kinship info.): I will make a character on your server, but i have a Elf Guardian on Vilya
Location. (Timezone preferences if any, state/country, etc.):Texas
Playstyle. (Solo, group, PvE, PvP, RAIDs, casual, hardcore, end-game, RP, no RP, time limited, crafter, “I don’t know, I’m new to this kind of game”, etc.): I dont mind RP, i can. I can solo and i love to group, raid, PvP and im pretty casual.
MMO games you’ve played:WoW, Guild Wars, Anarchy, Everquest 2, Matrix Online. (i dont play them anymore)
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?:I'm a mature player, i don't talk in 1337 5p3ak. I plan on playing a bit of everything, and im very dedicated and an easy going guy. I like to have fun, helping others and follows directions in groups.
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters): Im looking for a mature kinship that is looking to do a bit of everything, but not hardcore, you have to be on 12 hours a day, fellowship. It would also be nice if you had a voice chat program such as ventrilo or Teamspeak, or i can provide a ventrilo server for a small fellowship (less than 20), but it's not necessary.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
I'm just trying to find a nice balanced kinship where I can meet new people and find a way to break out of my shell as I'm not much of a social person. Not too experienced in groups, so it'd be nice to change that about myself because yes, its a very hard shell to crack. Lvling to me is an important aspect because I have never once been to the end-game of an MMO. I'm usually on 10 PM tp 3 AM PST, although its not always a set schedule.
Age: 21
Character: Elveren, Captain of Gondor
Location: Washington State
Playstyle: Balanced
I've played about 10 MMOs, starting with EQ, so its amazing that I'm just now trying to get into the social thing of things, lol. The OP gave good advice and I think it is important to put down why one would like me in their kinship. I'm generally kind to all people, not for any gain, but because it is who I am. I'm also a person that will sacrifice himself to save the group. It's a habit developed from being a Warrior in every MMO I've played. Though I like the Captain the best in this (in the process of restarting him to change his look), so its nice to have a change of pace for once. Getting a kinship would be nice for one more reason. I've never been on a raid before, its somethig I have to experience.
Anyway, I'm running out of time so I'll say GL to all the kinships and GL in game.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Name: Celebnor Elf Hunter
Age: 18
Server: Windfola
Location: USA, preferably east coast, but I'm a college student so I can be on almost whenever lol
Playstyle: I only have experience with soloing and fellowship stuff in this game, but I'm up for anything. I think I might like PvP
MMO games you’ve played: SWG for two years i think? It's hard to keep track of the time lol
What do you offer kinships?: Well I'd like to think that I am a relatively mature player who is devoted to playing, having a good time and enjoying this game with other people. Plus I'm not one of those 13 year old 1337 kids
What kind of kinship you are looking for: Honestly, I am not too sure. I'm thinking a relatively well established, not-too-hardcore, mature kinship that is relatively interested in PvP, but as I said, I'm up for anything, so most of that is negotiable...except for the mature part. That is a must.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Your name, or character name and race (if known): Ryan (my name), Aureles, Elf
Age: 22
Preferred server(s), if any. (This is not needed, just for kinship info.): Silverlode
Location. (Timezone preferences if any, state/country, etc.): CST, US
Playstyle. (Solo, group, PvE, PvP, RAIDs, casual, hardcore, end-game, RP, no RP, time limited, crafter, “I don’t know, I’m new to this kind of game”, etc.): a mix of playstyles, but I lean toward grouping
MMO games you’ve played: EQOA, SWG, EVE, EQ2, WoW, COH&COV, DDO, VG:SOH
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?: I am group oriented and do not hesitate to help others.
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters): One that has a large, active playerbase.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
I have been playing MMORPGs since Gemstone III in the early 90s. In the last few years, I have been busy with EQ2 and WoW. In that time, I was a guildleader and officer of a hardcore raiding guild.
Now that I am married, I dont have time for a hardcore raid guild and I have no interest in being a leader/officer. I am now looking for a family guild that is laid back, but is still determined on achieving all the goals in LOTR.
I have no preference on server, although playing with people in the Eastern/Central Timezones would be nice.
Your guild must have a real website (not a guildportal one), a dedicated leader, mature members, and a vision for the guild. Teamspeak/vent a plus.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Your name, or character name and race: Weichelt (Men)
Age: 24
Location: WI, USA
Playstyle: Casual - probably average 1hr per day on weekdays and 3+hrs on weekends
MMO games you’ve played: FFXI, LOTRO December '06 Beta
Why kinships should be interested in you: In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships? I've always been huge into teamwork. Played sports all through my life and continue to do so. Lead many teams to championships (leagues, intramurals, etc.)
Education - Earned my B.A. in Criminal Justice and another in Psychology with a minor in Military Leadership. Starting police academy in Fall '07. I enjoy helping others, which was actually one of the most enjoyable aspects of playing FFXI for me. That was my first MMO and did not know what they were or that they even existed until that point....not that I'm an expert now.
LOTR - like everyone else here I'm a huge fan. It pains me to say that I saw the movies first, then became interested, but nevertheless I loved the movies and moved on to reading the books. The hobbit is my favorite thus far, but I haven't yet finished the Silmarillion. Own the trivial pursuit, battle for middle earth I and II, LOTR (all 3) for gamecube, The third age for xbox, and I think thats about it. And again I've played the december '06 beta (unfortunately falling on finals week so I didn't get nearly as many hours in as I had hoped). Level 12 hunter, Level 13 Lore-master (both Elf).
What kind of kinship you are looking for: I'm looking for a kinship that has a mature member base, a few jokers every now and again is ok, but there is no need for childish behavior or arguing/fighting. It should be thought of as a team....a group of individuals who've come together for common goals. First of which is to have fun and explore the vast world of Tolkien's Middle Earth!

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Name: James
Age: 40
Preferred server(s), if any. : none
Location. : Northern Va. playtimes EDT-MDT (I play as late as 2am EDT)
Playstyle. : I'd like to find a consistent group for myself, and my wife and myself when she joins me
MMO games you’ve played: EQ, DAoC, WoW, EvE beta, AO, UO, DDO beta, think a couple I've forgotten
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?: Mature, smart, capable of handling which ever roll the class I play needs to perform. Was a Warrior in EQ, tank/puller mainly, and was a very good group leader running thru dungeons or pulling to the group in places such as Lower Guk. Try to use these principals in WoW, but as many know, most in WoW have no clue how to group correctly :) Also, I am most interested in honesty and integrity. I am a Christian, and back in Diablo, joined a clan to avoid all the grievers, which eventually carried over into EQ as a guild called the Mist Riders. I was the leader at that time, and my main focus was always to offer others a home when honesty and integrity were the foundation, over raiding or other such things. So that is something I seek, beyond things like being a socially friendly group, being mature players (I tend to work better with older, or at the least, mature, gamers), who understand that you pick a guild/kinship to be dedicated to it, and help it grow and mature and become stronger. You help your fellows, you trade goods between each other at a discount which helps your group as a whole, you give advice, council, help, etc. because you care about the others in your guild/kinship. By working together, you strengthen then whole and create a feeling of family and acceptance of members of varying skills and abilities.
What kind of kinship you are looking for. : not an all out raiding guild. Somewhat social, family oriented, adventurers maybe you would call it. I like to experience the game the first time thru an area, not just rush by everything. I like to find others who want to/can run quests together and get to know each other. If I do play LOTRO, which is seeming likely, my wife will also be playing with me, though much less than myself. So a guild with other married couples would be a plus, so there will be others with similar issues such as kids, who will be understanding, plus, well, she doesn't play much, and having some other women to chat with when she does play would be a big plus. I'll probably be into the Monster battle stuff, not sure yet what else is in the end game, and I do play almost nightly 3 to 5 hours. As stated previously, players who are not interesting in grieving others, are interested in honorable play and dealings with others, are the type of people we would like to associate with.
Myself, I've run a few guilds, most notably the Mist Riders on Mithaniel Marr in EQ for 3 years or so. Eventually moved on to DAoC, but began to tire of trying to run things, especially with babies turning into toddlers, and just too many distractions. So I understand many of the issues getting guilds going and keeping them going. the one thing I will be is a steady member. I do not fly off the handle accussing others with no reason, I'm more likely to understand a misunderstanding and forgive another than to call them a lier and create turmoil.
So, hope to hear from some good people, and take this opportunity during beta to meet you on the server(s) you are on and maybe some of your members can explain more of the intricacies of this game :)
Rogueone
aka Olosnah, Corran, Aylanee, and others :) making up names is always an adventure for me :) haha

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Your name, or character name and race (if known): Nourthpaul - Human Champion; Sonnyomara - Dwarf Guardian
Age: 27
Preferred server(s), if any: I'm currently on Gladden, but would be willing to start fresh on another server.
Location: U.S., west coast, PST. During the week my free time is usually from morning to afternoon and late evening, so that's when I'd be around the most. Weekends are my busiest times so I am usually only around during evenings. I am mostly up until around 12 or 12:30 am PST.
Playstyle: I tend to lean toward solo/duo play as most PvP I've encountered doesn't really interest me. I do like to get in groups for XP or quests or any other party-oriented activities there might be besides PvP.
MMO games you’ve played: In addition to LotR, I'm currently playing WoW, FFXI, Tales of Pirates, Scions of Fate, Corum Online, Silkroad, Rose and Maple Story. I've also played many other MMOs including RO, Goonzu, Flyff and Hero.
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?: With the majority of my online gaming time, I'm usually playing WoW (I'll play LotR more often once I upgrade my CPU a bit). I'm in a GREAT guild there and am always willing to help out where and when I can. I'm mature and great to get along with. Even though, like a lot of people, I'm still brand new to the game, I will always try my best to do my part and help fellow Kinship mates.
What kind of kinship you are looking for: Friendly, mature and helpful, but at the same time has a sense of humor and can laugh/joke about things. One of the things that I just can NOT stand are guilds/groups/linkshells that take everything WAY too seriously and make every minute of their lives about the game and ONLY the game. As I mentioned, I'm not one for PvP, but am game for any other kinds of kinship activities that happen. I just want to have fun with the game and my kinship, help out where I can and not feel pressured to "be at suchandsuchaplace on this day at this time."

Elvin Lass of experience seeks kinship
Vendui' il'er ((greetings all))
((ooc)) I am seeking a kinship upon the fire server. i am interested in one with a lean toward the medium to excessively hardcore RP style (at least within kinship channels). I bring with me many years of online gaming experience as well as leadership in a few guilds of different worlds i have been in. The list of games i have been in is far to long to place here but lets just say.. if its been created.. i've more then likely played it.. MMO as well as other online and mud type games ((ex. Second life .. LoRD))
I tend to hunt solo but do not mind a good group outting once in a while and am a very hardcore RP'r personally although a break now and then is obviously required so that things that might be misunderstood can be cleared up.. i am also quite effecient in the Tolkien language "Quenya" .. which i have taken the past 9 years to study and continue to do so as new documents are uncovered and new words associated with different things.
If you are upon the fire server and mayhaps i might feel welcome within your kinship.. i seek you please send me a message in world or here in the forums
Thank you!
~ ElleTarien ~
Hantale mellonamin!
Edit: forgot to add in case you couldn't tell from the ELVIN used.. i am of course an ELF and quite proud of my pointy ears!.. and further questions please feel free to ask :)

Age: (some kinships have real life age limits) 17, 18 in June
Preferred server(s), if any. (This is not needed, just for kinship info.): None preferred.
Location. (Timezone preferences if any, state/country, etc.): No preference, but I live in California, U.S.

Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?: I am looking for a hardcore raiding guild, and if a hardcore raiding guild is looking for new members that can show dedicated raiding, on nearly any raiding schedule, they will find me to fit that description quite well.
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters): A hardcore raiding PvE guild.

Player:Ashley Dusenbery
Character: Kessan
Age: 33
Preferred server(s):Melenor (spell?)
Location: St. Louis, MO, CDT
Playstyle: Very casual player (4-5 hours a week), I love to group with friends I know, but I'd rather solo than group with randoms.
MMO games you’ve played:UO, EQ, WoW, Eve
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?:I love the books and am very excited about exploring ME! I am mature and funny (or so some have said)
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters):I am interrested in a good RP type kinship that is really into the lore of the books.

{{What kind of kinship you are looking for.}} I am looking for a kinship that wants to be one of the elite guilds in this game PvE wise. I would like to be competitive PvP but PvE is my focus. I love the books and movies and want to be deeply involved in the end game progression of LotRO.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Your name, or character name and race :
On Landroval Server: Laureth Minstrel, Gally Captain, Azariel Lore-Master
Age:
29
Preferred server(s), if any.
*edit* would prefer to stay on Landroval. Been working on leveling 3 characters, mostly for the aspect of the trade skills.
Location. :
Boise, ID (MST)
Playstyle.: Currently solo since I don't know anyone on my current server. Would like to group for some of the instanced quests, and some of the harder multiple mobs at a time quests.
MMO games you’ve played:
Everquest (70 mage) World of Warcraft (68 priest, 70 paladin, 63 Hunter)
Why kinships should be interested in you.
I've been playing online rpg's since 2001 or so. I have extensive experience in playing just about every class. I have also led raids, and was an officer in a couple of the guilds I was in. I am definitely experienced in both the realms of dealing dps and playing a healer. I was playing roughly four hours a day in world of warcraft, in the realm of raiding and pve. Will prob be playing mostly from 6-midnight weekdays and varies on weekends.
I'm interested in a kinship which would be female friendly, group friendly, light or no role play, raids, groups, and is definitely mature. I'm not interested in a guild that is full of immature players, or is so focused on "winning the raid" it has a militaristic and caustic leadership. For example I dont like it when people openly yell at others during raids, this is not fun in my opinion. Definitely looking for a group of easy going, fun loving people. :)
Oh and contact info if you want to ask more questions: magealita@gmail.com

Looking for Kinship
Your name, or character name and race : Willing to play any race any class. Currently Tiniwen (Elf Hunter on Arkenstone)

Why kinships should be interested in you.
I play generally 2-3 hours on weeknights and more on weekends. Currently scoping out website options if a kinship needs a fast webpage setup. Ideally would like to work up to officer status. I am not looking for raid craziness, i had my fill of that in FFXI. I would like to casually level with some new friends and help each other over hurdles. EDIT:: I have played in very RP heavy guilds before and enjoy it.

Please PM me through my forum name if you are interested.
Goodluck to all the new kinships forming on the newer servers.

What kind of kinship you are looking for. : I am looking for a Hobbits only Fellowship. Nothing against men and elves and dwarves. There is just something amazing about seeing a huge group of Hobbits running around together.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
char name will be: Scripp
Server: willing to start on any
Kinship type wanted: mature players that aren't "Elite" oriented but want to have a fun environment with focus on having a "fun" gameplay experience when they log in. Friendly Kinship that has rules and organization.
About myself: 43 years old. Veteran gamer. Worked for Infocom back in "the day" writing in basic for the old text based adventures that seirra eventually capitalized on. Have beta tested over 100 games. Used to be webmaster and owner of the old beta testing site "Online Beta Tester Guild" (was known then as Boolean).
I am a veteran of W-W and am leaving it after 3 years of dedicated play and being guild master of the largest guild on my server there for two years.
Looking forward to being in a group here that is willing to have fun and not take gaming to seriously, but login to Lord of the Rings Online to have a fun gaming experience every few hours each night.
Thanks for any replies. Please feel free to send me a forum IM if you are interested in a gamer of my type for your Kinship.
I must add that I am not willing to be a Kinship leader in this game due to the time involved keeping so many players together and just want to blend in and be a part of a good community this time around.
Thanks, have fun!

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Name: Brandon
Main Character Name: Craig
Main Character Class: Dwarven Guardian
Age: 16
Server: Silverlode
Location: Iowa
Playstyle: So far I've been pretty solo, up for basically anything except RP.
MMO games you’ve played: My first. =D But I've been playing since Beta 1.
Why you should choose me:
I'm a pretty easy going guy, I don't really care about gaming politics/ranks/stupid stuff like that. I catch on quickly and I'm pretty much always willing to help fellows. I don't really know, I'm usually well liked. Yep.
I'm mainly interested in Kinships that have rules, although are pretty lax on them, especially when it comes to swearing. Yeah, I have a potty mouth. It's not because I don't have "self-control" as most people on the forums seem to put it, it's because I honestly don't care. Words are words. So if you're adament about no swearing, look past me, but if you don't mind it/do mind it but not THAT much, then continue to read.
I'm kind of interested in a Kinship that would be into raids, being that I've never been in one and I'm very intrigued by them.
Questions, feel free to ask.
I'm best contacted on AIM@ xxToolsKxx

Playstyle:
A mix between solo/group PvE, casual, part-time crafter. Have tried and enjoyed Monster Play.
MMO games you’ve played: FFXI, CoH/V, WoW
Looking for a mature, casual kinship for fellowing and socializing. Thanks!

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Greetings all, one more cog in the MMORPG wheel looking for creative, RP/goal oriented players to join.
Name: Macero, Faelan, Fannath
Class: Human minstrel, Human Burglar, Elf Champion
Age: 34
Preffered Server: Undecided; in WoW (last MMORPG played) I played in Warsong and Illiden, later on Emerald Dream. I prefer servers with a lot of guild interaction.
Location: Atlanta, GA – will be playing nights and late night weekends.
Playstyle: Primary playstyle from EQ, AC, Lineage, DAoC, Shadowbane and WoW has been PvP/Raid (with an RP flavor, I played with Shadowclan in DAoC and Shadowbane, Verndari in WoW) focused. As there is no meaningful PvP in LoTRO, I’m looking for a guild that aims to be goal-focused, but not to the 24/7 raid requirement – I play for fun, not for a job.
MMOs played: Pretty much all of them.
As a player, I’m not looking to ‘win’ the game, I’m looking to have enjoy the games offerings and have fun doing it. I’m a bigger fan of storyline and questing than min/maxing raids for loot. In SWG, DAoC, WoW, etc. I spent a lot of time assisting up and comers with quests, goals, etc. after hitting 60 and then 70. I got burned out of running Ony, MC, ZG and BWL 5-6 nights a week and am not looking to turn this game into a second job.
If a guild can bring an RP element, has fun interacting with other guilds on the server, and treats the game as an enjoyment and not a taskmaster I’d love to hear from ya.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Inca - 15 man captain
Inka - 15 hobbit minstrel
Others will be secondary to these.
Age: 28
Gladden server
Location: East coast, Miami, FL
Playstyle: Always enjoyed hybrids. I love to multitask so having a character that can heal/melee or nuke/melee has always suited me.
MMO EXP: I started Mainly on DAoC which has been my favorite so far mainly cause of the PvP. FFXI, WoW. GW briefly.
Looking for laid back kinship that doesnt force their members to attend manditory anything. I play to have fun when I can, no really fixed schedule cause of school/work.
I like to help others and like to do big raids. Would like to do some PvMP and all the end game stuff. Also would like a guild where size isnt too big where ppl dont know each other to the point where you might as well not even be in the same kinship but not too small that it's the same 5 ppl on at all times.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Name: Dashl
Age: 27
Server: Meneldor
Location: CST, Norman, OK
Playstyle: Somewhere in between casual and hardcore. I do not PvP, spar or duel, because I burned out on that in SWG. I like to group up and do all the quests that are possible. I want to join a kinship because I don't believe in playing a MMO and then playing solo. My SWG guild went to EQ2, then WoW (which I don't like) and are staying in WoW.
MMO games you’ve played: EQOA, SWG, EQ2, WoW for two weeks, CoH for two weeks.
I would like to join a kinship that helps out other members, does all the quests that are possible, even if that means doing them again to help other members. I don't like to PvP, and I don't like to RP. I like being able to use vent or TS, I think it helps to plan, organize, and get to know everyone better. My job is Monday-Friday, 6am-3pm CST, so I can be on after that, and I have weekends off which means I will probably be on 6-8 hours on the weekend. I have only been a part of smaller guilds, which has worked out fine for me in the past, except for raiding then we had to form several alliances with other small guilds. As long as I am able to group up, and do quests I will be happy.
Anyway, thanks for reading this, and if you think I would make a good fit for your kinship, send me a message.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Your name, or character name and race : Cragoth, Dwarven champion of the 12th season and climbing.
Age: 25
Preferred server(s), if any: Currently on Landroval
Location: USA, CT EST
Playstyle: I love to group up with others. Whether it be just for mindless slaughtering of goblins, to elite quests. I've never RPed before but haven't ruled it out, it could be fun, but wouldn't like to be in a strict rules RP kinship.
MMO games you’ve played: Hmm... this could be a long list. Started with EQ1, then came AC, AO, DAoC, Horizons (for about 3 days), AC2, Shadowbane, EQ2, Vanguard, and WoW. I think that's it.
Why kinships should be interested in you.
I try to play about 2-3 hours on weekdays and more on the weekends. While I'm on I love to get into fellowships with my kinship members and do some quests together. What I am mostly looking for from a kinship is to make some friends and to have a good time. I like to help people out also with some stuff that I have done already if they are having troubles with it I have no problems travelling to their location and giving them a hand if I'm free at the time.
What kind of Kinship are you looking for? :
I'm looking for a Kinship that's fun and helpful with eachother. One that likes to group up or just get together and do odd things. It doesn't matter if it's an RP guild as long as their aren't any strict rules about the RPing because like I said up top, I've never done it before but I wouldn't mind trying it out.
contact info:
Please PM me through my forum name if you are interested.
Well there you have it, that's about it :) I look forward to hearing from some of you and maybe getting to meet you.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
-I found a kinship to join, but thanks to those who PMed me-
Main Character - Alwyvan Prumdale, Hobbit Minstrel. (If you would like to know of my other characters, PM me)
Server: Landroval.
Country/State/Timezone: USA, Nevada, PST.
Playstyle: I'm usually a solo player in most MMO's, but I am usually guildless and friendless as well in those games. I plan on soloing often, but if someone else is in the same area, I wouldn't mind fellowing with them. I play a Reaver and a Warg in the Ettenmoors, but right now I'm more focused on my Free Peoples. Lately my log-in times have been popping around, but when I do get on I usually play for quite a few hours. I later plan on evenly playing my Monsters and experiencing End-game PvE. I am not a heavy RPer, and can barely be considered a light one.
MMO's I've played: Dark Age of Camelot (A few 50's on Gaheris) World of Warcraft (A level 41 Paladin on Cenarion Circle) Guild Wars (Technically doesn't count, but a level 20 Mesmer and many lower characters) Everquest (Played a Paladin to around level 30)
Why be interested in me?: I was going to type all of this out, but I think it would make this too much more longer. PM me for this kind of information.
What am I looking for?:
Members who are - Mature, helpful, friendly, active, in a large number, with a sense of humor (but not the overly stupid kind of humor), in understanding of my playstyle, and enjoy fellowing with eachother to complete quests.
A Leader who is - Mature, helpful, friendly, active, in understanding of my playstyle, fellowing with it's members every now and then, in understanding of a fair bit about the game, and allowing members who do not RP.
PM me if you're interested or wish to know anything else... please.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Server: Landroval
Name or character name: Sparks
Age: 23
Location: USA; EST timezone.
Playstyle: I play Solo is I have to but prefer playing in groups. I love helping people and getting help from anyone I can!
MMO games you’ve played: WOW, EVE Online, City of Heroes, City of Villains, Lineage II, and Guild Wars
Why kinships should be interested in you. Well i have been playing MMORPG for years now, and I can say I am a great team player. I help anyone I can, I have maps printed out so I can lead people wherever they need, I am willing to lend anyone any help I can as far as weapons and armor. I can craft well enough to supply people with the latest weapons, and have a sense of humor, unlike many LOTRO players!
What kind of kinship you are looking for. I am looking for a serious Kinship, and by serious I don't mean no joking around, I mean one that willlast and does everything it can to be the best. I play every day and am very dedicated to any team I join, and if I was part of one of the best I would help out and make them the best I can!

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
im a lvl 14 elf hunter.
i want a bomb guild to do quests with.
thats that.
-
Deschain, 15 Elven Hunter Brandywine
Name or character name: Deschain
Server: Brandywine
Age: 25
Location: Atlanta, Ga
Playstyle: (KAE) I'm a hardcore casual if there is a such thing i.e. I play a lot when I want.
MMO games you’ve played: Asheron's Call 4+ years, DAoC 6 months, SWG 6 months, WoW 2+ years.
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?: I take pride in every class I play. I can't stand being midocre. If im PvPing I want to be the best, if im in a raid I want to be the best at whatever it is im doing. I will play on a regular basis any where from 5 pm est to 12 pm est on weekdays and any time on the weekends. I am big into crafting as long as the crafting system is worthwhile. I'm willing to help those around me.
What kind of kinship you are looking for. I want a group of people that are ruthless in every way. When they are pvping i want them to be aggressive and full of rage destorying everyone and everything in their path. When they are on a raid on want it ran efficiently not kill a mob and take a 5 min break and dying isn't an awe man we can do better thing but expect success because everyone is working thier hardest to win. When they are questing, soloing, grinding, crafting do it like the others attempt to be the best and you will see that you really are better than most others around you. Also I want a kinship that wants to be the best.

Re: I'm (Rinri-Level 10 Dwarf Guardian)--Looking for a Kinship--
Rinri-Dwarf Guardian: Level 10 & rising
Elendimir
CST: US
I like to play solo on the easy "talk to" or "get this" quests, but don't mind having or helping company. Since I am a guardian, I cannot dish out a lot (unless they hit first!) so I like to have company when entering a monster stronghold--I'll take the hits (& attention!) while you hack & slash.
I like a team share attitude, not a "who can hack them up first".
I like to work together and strategize a little, be it whether we do this quest for you first or mine, or 'how do you want to run our attack?'.
I like honesty; I am loyal; virtue is highest, both in real life and in game playing.
This is my first MMO, but I'm a quick learner. I try to figure things out on my own until I get stuck. I've gotten my fair share of help from gracious players like Silrien (hack & slash), Hordin (hints on 'where's that'), and Elvaria (who graciously worked some leather for me for a fair price and didn't take advantage of me on my first time to do that). But I've also helped Caito raise his level to mine (and we have Fellowshipped quite a bit since then). I can't wait for the day when I can return the favor to players like Silrien & Hordin who helped me out even though 5-8 levels above me at no advantage to themselves. I'd take the hits for elves and dwarves like that.
I've perused a lot of kinships, and many look really great, but I'm not sure which would be the best fit. YOU have more experience than I: could I be an asset to you? You will have my deepest loyalty.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Name:
Nieriel, Elf Hunter, currently level 14
Age:
I'll never see 30 again
Server:
Elendilmir, but willing to start over on another server for the right Kinship
Location:
Canada, The Wet Coast (PST)
Playstyle:
I generally solo but would love to group more. I'm shy to begin with but it doesn't take me long to warm up. I play a lot but I'm in no hurry for the end-game or to reach the level cap. I like role-playing and exploring. My craft is Woodsman.
MMO games you’ve played:
EverQuest (original), StarWars Galaxies, World of Warcraft. I've also played Quake2, Diablo, Diablo2, There, Sims, Sims2 and lots of other games.
Why kinships should be interested in you:
I'm friendly and I like to help people. I'm mature but like to have fun and do silly things. I can play just about any time of day (I'm a stay-at-home mum, but my "kids" are four-legged and furry) which means a non-North American kinship is fine.
What kind of kinship you are looking for:
A kinship with mature members (and by mature, I don't mean physical age) with minimal drama would be wonderful. A kinship that's organised and has meetings if fine, but they won't get hysterical if you have to miss a meeting or two (life happens!). Relaxed and casual, fun and funny are all good.

Playstyle:
I enjoy leveling thru quests while also gathering resources/crafting. Like to expore solo, but would like to group more for quests, especially Epic. I don't monster play (against Tolkien spirit).
MMO games you’ve played:
Guildwars for a year - 4 characters thru entire content, although I never joined a guild (!). Diablo, Civ, MUDs, etc...
Why kinships should be interested in you:
I tend to be well-informed, helpful, and relatively skillful. Playing 2-4 hours a day and willing to group often. I'ev read all the Tolkien books and am familiar with the lore of the game.
What kind of kinship you are looking for:
One where I can find groups frequently, as I've mostly just experienced solo play so far with a few small pickup groups. I get the sense that this is a group-oriented game. I'd need a little help getting up to speed on kinship play (help with ventillo, etc...) as I've never joined a guild.

Re: Looking for a Kinship? Post here.
Your name, or character name and race: Character name is Veremoth, A Champion and one of the race of men.
Age: I've never given my age in any MMO I've played, even to other players I became close friends with, so I prefer to keep that information to myself
Preferred server(s), if any. : Currently on Elendilmir. Hoping to find some of those people I played MP with back when it was first brought into the game.
Location. : East Coast, US
Playstyle.: Solo mostly, with the occasional grouping if I can't do things myself, someone really needs me, or if I feel like it when invited.
MMO games you’ve played: Final Fantasy 11, Lineage 2, World of Warcraft, Everquest 2 (Very short time on that one), Planetside (This even count?), and some others I have trouble remembering.
Why kinships should be interested in you.: Meh, I'm more of the joking type, always throwing out a bad joke here and there to lighten the mood. I suppose I'd just bring a little light into a group.
Experience as well as I've been a part of the game since Beta1 and I'm pretty well versed in gameplay as a Champion and Minstrel, though I've come to prefer the Champion aspect.
What kind of kinship you are looking for.: A group that's a bit close to my personality. Carefree with a good sense of humor, though serious and well organized when it comes to fellowships and raids...well, I suppose I don't count as well organized....more like good at taking orders from command.
Also keeping an eye out, as stated above, for some people I used to play Monster Play with in beta. Characters I had back in beta are Mardin (Minstrel) and Veremoth (Champion)........and that's about it.
