Lets discuss the 3/18 tell the comunity team thread
Im not going to pax due to the fact (a) cant get off work and (b) just way to many states away for me to drive.
However when I got down to question number 3, this is the one that bothered me.

Question 3
Excluding Legendary Items and Radiance gating, what topics would you ask about if you were the Community Team? Pick TWO (2). Yes, this is where you get to tell us what you’d like us to ask you about.

This one kind of stuck out in my mind. To me it was like OK we don't want to hear about LI's or Radiance.
Thoughts.
Re: Lets discuss the 3/18 tell the comunity team thread
Since we managed to twist all their questions for the last month into a /hate commentary about either LIs or rad I guess they are wanting to see if anything else is of interest to us.
(although I don't think they want to be asked about housing either )

Or - "We have many posts and ideas about those two systems. What else are you concerned about?"
Maybe simply trying to direct the discussion out of the LI-Radiance rut to get other ideas.

I have a totally opposite view.
Me thinks they got the message clearly and enough feedback about LI, so instead of beating the dead horse they are now looking towards input on other subjects.

I concur. I think we delivered the message on LIs and Radiance clearly in the other recent Tell the Community Team threads. There is no point in going over that ground again at this time. (Now further downstream, that might be another story, but currently I am in wait-and-see mode, with all appendages tightly crossed.)

That would more than likely be why, a month later, they are EXCLUDING the two subjects from the questions.
Plus, I'm pretty sure they will already be planning to gather info on those two areas, they want ADDITIONAL areas to ask about, though. Because, narrow-minded views aside, radiance and LIs are not the only systems in the game, nor does the majority of the game depend on them.

LI's and radiance are a huge focus of endgame. If people happen to fall into the largest special interest pie-slices, it doesn't really make them narrow-minded, any more than petitioning for extra pickles on MacDonalds hamburgers is narrow-minded considering the starving people in Africa.

Indeed, I feel the same way. The last few "Tell The Community" threads have involved LIs and/or Radiance in some manner, so it was good to see them ask what else we'd like to discuss, in my opinion.
Re: Lets discuss the 3/18 tell the comunity team thread
I am far from a fan of the LI and Radiance systems, and even I can admit that Turbine has gotten enough input about those in the recent past. I'm guessing that we will see some major changes, possibly phased in over time, in those two systems. In the meantime, it's time to talk about other issues in the game.
I for one would like to see enhanced PvMP (I don't do it but I know others do), housing, crafting, hobbies, and especially an end-game that is not so dependent on radiance and the LI grind.

No, but if people think every topic of every conversation should be about extra pickles, then yes, they ARE narrow-minded. That would be a closer analogy than your choice of words. Not a big surprise, though. So basically, you know where you can put your extra pickles and your LIs
Re: Lets discuss the 3/18 tell the comunity team thread
I think that they know there is popular dislike of RI/Gating. But we know there are likely those within Turbine that will pew pew the issue, saying "it isn't going anyplace so drop it."
The key is that the silence from Turbine only creates more discontent. Even if some of us know that there are practical limits to what can be said, it just leaves some folks gritting teeth wondering what is going on in Boston.
I didn't think there was a need for Rad gear in the first place. Something dirt simple would be better, and last longer. Tokens for "inspired radiance" or something.

Well to be fair, they have left it wide open and almost everyone says those two. So they are just trying to figure out what ELSE people are interested in. I think they got the message: we don't like LIs or Radiance.
Re: Lets discuss the 3/18 tell the comunity team thread
I'm of the opinion that Turbine has received the message loud-and-clear that there are some community concerns with LIs and radiance - and the community has widely offered a number of good suggestions on how to improve those systems. Maybe Turbine is just looking for the next hot buttons in priority.
Or maybe Turbine decided it's going to be easier afterall to improve housing or crafting or PvMP or some other game systems than LIs and radiance! :p
Re: Lets discuss the 3/18 tell the comunity team thread
It seems most understood the intent of excluding the LI and Radiance topics from the question.
Also, the questions about Radiance and LIs have brought new attention to those threads. As evidenced by the number of people asking us to ask about itemization; A qustion we asked very recently but was overshadowed by LI and Radince discussion. Yet itemization is clearly important to many as well.
Just because a voice is loud doesn't alwats mean it represents a majority. Sometimes vocal segments of our population seem to overwhelm other, less vocal but significant, portions of the community. We simply want to ensure all voices are heard. The Community Team threads serve that purpose.

Heh, +rep.
It was because they had asked about LI's and Rad. gear in previous ones. They wanted more ideas, they should know by now many people have major issues with the 2 systems.

We all know something around 5-10% max of the players browse the MMO forums and fewer even post.
So have you ever considered either polls or player inputs in game after the log in screen?
This has to be optional so players who don't want to be bothered would avoid it and also there would be like one vote per player.
As incentive for the first time, to spread the new and give it a boost, there would be a reward like a custom name (ex WAR = the validated) or even better a fluffy item.
Not only you would be able to get more accurate data but also you would easily be able to sort the answers between lifetime subscribers, long time subscribers and come and go type of players.

You mean the starving people here in America. We need to focus on the people here first, then we can help people that are in need in other countries.
