Grey Wolf Ears

I have about 20-30 of these across a couple alts. It says I can trade them in at Bree for the new crafting item; yet, I can't seem to find it. Any info?

Hmmm, not ingame at the moment, but I was sure there was someone in the Bree Crafting Hall you could talk to and they would exchange it for you. Wether they have removed that option I am not too sure, but that's where it was / used to be last time i used it.

Yes he is still there and the item I have says I can trade it in for a new crafting item; yet, he doesn't trade it.

IIRC, there is a second trade-in npc in the craft area of Michel Delving. Been a while since I did it, so I hope my fallible memory is correct.

The reason there are two npcs is that Turbine went through two separate phases in revamping the entire method of critting crafted items. The one in the Bree crafting hall is the npc for the first revamp. The one in Michel Delving is for the second revamp.

When you swap, be sure you're paying attention. Some of the phase 2 revamp items can be traded for several different crit items for several different professions. So, if you have multiple crafters, you may need to swap for several different crit items.

Nope; I ran into the same issue when I came back (haven't played since 2007), I have Blackened Huorn Heartwood Pieces, Blackened Huorn Root Fragments, Clean Barghest Tails, Grey Wolf Ears, and Large Warg Tails, and they all say to visit Taddyn in Bree. He doesn't exchange any of them. He did exchange a couple of other items I had (can't remember what they were) into new trophys, and I can trade those to the guy in Michel Delving, but none of the other stuff can be exchanged by anyone, it seems. Should we just vendor them?

I have the same exact problem as well. After coming back to check things out, I have the same items as goopotato and neither Taddyn, nor the vendors in Micheal Delving nor Esteldin will take them. I can find no mention that they were "permanently discontinued".
