ETA for my.lotro character information from European servers?
Just as the title says, is there any estimated time for having all character information in my.lotro from accounts coming from Codemasters?

Re: ETA for my.lotro character information from European servers?

Re: ETA for my.lotro character information from European servers?
Last I heard they were looking at the end of this month/early next month providing no problems. Bear in mind they turned off data services for *all* servers and are looking at bringing them back using a "rolling" method, so EU servers may be first, last, or somewhere in the middle!

My Dwarrowdelf & Landroval character info started updating again a couple of days ago, so I take it the US character update is up and running (or I'm just very lucky with my server selection.) Hopefully the EU servers will soon follow.

I'm not seeing data on Brandywine for a character I rolled there on the first day of migration, so possibly not all US servers are up yet.

Re: ETA for my.lotro character information from European servers?
I made a hunter on Arkenstone while waiting for the European servers to come back up. I can find that one in 'My Character Settings' now. Nothing about my European server characters 'though... so I guess I'll have to wait a little longer :)

Re: ETA for my.lotro character information from European servers?

Re: ETA for my.lotro character information from European servers?
Sorry Datalives, but that is not an answer. ETA is something more precise that just "a few weeks". How many is "few"? 3, 6, 20?
Besides, that post from Sapience is dated. Most of US servers are already ON in my.lotro, so I think we deserve an update on ETA.

Re: ETA for my.lotro character information from European servers?
I am glad that we've not got an ETA.
I do wonder, however, if this has anything to do with the Forum issue? I cannot access my own account page, here...

Same for the warden that I made on Imladris, during the wait for my chars getting transferred

Re: ETA for my.lotro character information from European servers?
Don't see my characters as well... Would appreciate an estimation on when it will be activated.

Re: ETA for my.lotro character information from European servers?

Re: ETA for my.lotro character information from European servers?
Sapience has given us a date for My Lotro when he answered a question on Lotteries. I've linked to it below.
http://forums.lotro.com/showthread.p...12#post5480812
"before the July 4 Weekend" is much better than the usual SoonTM. I'm looking forward to it. :) I'm from the EU servers so I've never had it before. It looks like we'll get everything connected to My Lotro as well; lotteries, forum sig, leaderboards. I'm not sure if they've worked out all the legal stuff for lotteries but they said they were working on it.

What legal stuff? o.O It's a lottery for in-game items. It's not a US-players-only thing like the contests.
-
Re: ETA for my.lotro character information from European servers?
I must be getting them confused. I've only just landed here from Codemasters, so I'm not used to the Turbine way of doing things yet. I thought they had a problem with anything that had any monetary value, even in game things if they were related to Turbine Points.
The main good news is that everything should be fixed next weekend. :)
-
Re: ETA for my.lotro character information from European servers?
Oh, OK. You got me a bit flabbergasted there because hitherto non-US players have been allowed to enter just like the Americans.
To be quite honest I don't even understand the contest problems, they've got contests on Twitter, too, for Turbine points, and never say 'US only'.
-
Re: ETA for my.lotro character information from European servers?
Kocsis I think you are missing the point. We are coming from Codemasters and even if the contests on Twitter were available to everyone, it didn't make sense for us getting turbine points that are useless in Codemasters servers. So, we are new to this and it's normal to have questions and doubts.
-
Re: ETA for my.lotro character information from European servers?
I am not missing the point. I'm talking about the "legal problems". There have been contests in which only US players were allowed to participate (excluding all other players who happened to play on the US server, sometimes even Canadians). Like this: http://www.lotro.com/news/965-lotro-...x-east-edition
Quote:
This contest is open to all legal U.S. residents age 18 or older.
And I have read about there being legal issues to sort out.
As a EU player, I've triple-checked the lottery rules to make sure I'm allowed to enter, still, I obviously get both surprised and nervous if all of a sudden I'm told there are legal problems surrounding EU participation.
I'm a former yes-I-know-I-should-be-playing-the-Codemasters-version outsider and naturally I've got questions and worries, too. It was always a bit hazy what I could and couldn't do here.

Re: ETA for my.lotro character information from European servers?
Fair enough, but as an EU player that have been playing in an US server for quite a time, you can understand that for newcomers it can be not very clear at the beginning. So it's normal for people to make questions (not everybody has the time to read all relevant information from day one)
-
Re: ETA for my.lotro character information from European servers?
Sooooo anyway :)
Any news on the my.lotro.com data stuff?
-
Re: ETA for my.lotro character information from European servers?
If you look at some posts above you will see that there seems to be a target for "before July 4th weekend"

Oi, you seem to have misunderstood me. I never said anything against people asking questions. I was asking a question. Someone said something about legal problems with the lottery. I inquired after said legal problems, because it's an issue that concerns me and I'd thought there weren't any. Then it turned out to be a misunderstanding, and now I'm being accused of reproaching people for asking questions? o.O

Re: ETA for my.lotro character information from European servers?
can't wait to have full functionality on mylotro... was supposed to be the biggest advantage of moving to the us servers, so far only have experienced more lag...
-
Re : ETA for my.lotro character information from European servers?
Not sure what is going on, but, I keep looking my.lotro to see if my characters are on...Now that they said around 4th of July, it seems they are working on it, as I have 2 Characters listed in my stuff. BUT...they are not mine, and empty.
So rather they are working on it, or it is simply mixted up bad. I am waiting for couple of days before reporting it, unless they give us some info of the process and errors.
