Answers NOT in the FAQ (just yet)

First off I'd like to compliment Celestrata on the RoR FAQ and Q&A, which is considerably more informative than the RoI one.

As for the questions that aren't in there just yet, here's my current best guesses and interpretation of dev-posts:

What's included in the Rohan Expansion Content mentioned as Store purchase in the FAQ?
No confirmation on this one yet. But since it's not called the 'Rohan Quest Pack' best guess is it will be like RoI and include the Quest Pack, the Skirmish Soldier Rank and the non-free War Horse updates.

Are to-be-released-later instances included in RoR web or Lotro store purchase?
While this Other RoR FAQ originally mentioned they'll be free for those who purchased the RoR expansion, Sapience has mentioned this information was 'out of date'. So it's unkown at this point if they're a separate purchase, though it would be a major selling point for a lot of people, so I wonder why they're being so secretive about it.

Will instances X or skirmish Y be scaled to 85?
Based on RoI, most skirmishes will scale right away. Previously scaled instances tend to take a bit longer so the might or might not be scaled immediately, but will be scaled eventually. Non-scaled instances like the Isengard cluster and Roots of Fangorn will most likely NOT scale.

What about PvMP!?!?!
So far this is a topic of deafening silence. I would expect new gear sets, a rise in Audacity cap and based on the previous updates maybe another two MP-class overhauls.

I don't want to sound like a jerk, I'm not sure how these count as "answers" as opposed to "assumptions". This feels very misleading.

I thought I did my best to make it rather clear these aren't official answers... Just trying to get a list of questions that people keep asking that aren't answered in an official FAQ somewhere already and, like it says, my best-guess-answer based on previous experiences, the numerous threads on the various subjects here and some logic.

And hopefully Celestrata will soon provide official info on these topics!

Can we get the answers to the real FAQ's pls, after trolling through 2 pages of threads I can't find anyone asking can they use there own horse or where can my dwarf ride a warhorse, infact the current FAQ should be titled frequently asked questions about mounted combat and not frequently asked questions about ROR.

Now lets see some answers to questsions about ROR.

1 Are there instances?
2 How many of each type? raids/6 mans/3 mans ect
3 Are we getting new virtue or trait slots?
4 Are you going to fix the constant lag?
5 Are we getting a new crafting teir or will the current teir be adjusted?
6 What new skills are class's getting from 75-85?
7 How many quests will the next book parts have ect.
8 Will there be anymore changes to the Li system besides the crystal allowing 7 legacies?

I am sure there are more but these spring to mind at the moment. As is whats currently advertised is nothing more than a quest pack, some definitive information on other features needs to be forthcoming to allow a informed purchase.

Though I think they will wait as long as they can before giving 'bad news' answers to most of these questions. I'm repeatedly amazed at just how bad Turbine are at communicating with their customers.

The odds of getting an answer though will be slim, i think deep down inside we already know the answer :(

I'm ready to pay for this as soon as some of these can be answered. I know a lot of it isn't settled or they don't want to go into details, but for the prices of these editions a lot of us can't make that money-gamble (or simply don't want to).

Come on, Turbine! The new stuff looks great, but tell us about the things we already know and love!

I'd like to add a ninth question (or 7A to be more precise) Has someone done the addition to double-check that the quests will get us to level cap this time?

Yet with no mention of if they are part of the RoR pre-order or require extra payment. Though I'm not sure I'll still have a kin when you bother to release the content for end-game raiders to play.

The repeatable content that was mentioned may keep people busy for a bit. This is likely (warning: speculation ahead) the grouped attacks on the roving "war bands" that have been mentioned before in discussions of RoR. They are not instanced, but they sound fun and will probably award medallions or other items that you use to barter for jewelry. I like the idea of riding through the plains of Rohan in a group, hunting down orcs and wargs, and trampling them to pieces with my new Warhorse.

Truth. I expect they will be free to those who buy RoR with cash, and it is possible they will be free to those who buy RoR with TP, but that is unknown at this point. Details would be nice.

and once again instances are being released AFTER the expansion? sigh... Most of the hardcore players will be 85 in a week, and they'll be twiddling their thumbs, because I'm sure they're not gonna grind Sch/Lib for the millionth time

No IC at launch = even harder to find people to do it once it hits

Think this really should be in the My Lotro FAQ as well... * winks to Celestrata *

I'd like to see details about exactly what is different about mounted combat with the Legendary Edition, versus the Base Edition, versus no edition. Currently the FAQ says:

"All players will be able to participate in mounted combat. Free players, however, do not have access to all of the War-steeds abilities (two of the three trait trees are locked) but will be able to purchase access and unlock it through the LOTRO store. Players who have purchased the Expansion will have all aspects of mounted combat unlocked immediately."

But the text for the Legendary Edition says:

"Exclusive Rohan Content: Discover the lineage of the great War-steeds and earn a mounted combat deed that grants an exclusive skill for your War-steed."

By definition, if there is additional content available only by purchasing the LE, then it's not true that people who buy the expansion "will have all aspects of mounted combat unlocked immediately."

Pedantry aside, though: buying ANY expansion appears to give you access to all of the war-steed trait lines, but buying the LE gives you an "exclusive skill"? Does that mean another button to mash? Or do they mean something bigger, that will actually affect how well you can fight/survive? The former is not worth paying for. The latter probably isn't either, but at least it's somewhat more substantive.
