Vol 3, Bk. 6, Ch. 1 Not (even) Bestowing. . . Different From Known Issue?
Hi all,
The known issues list the following:
Volume III, Bk. 6, Ch. 1 -- Players cannot click on the sleeping bags in order to continue the quest
However, that doesn't quite describe the issue I'm having. I can't even get the quest that requires me to click the sleeping bag (v3,bk6,ch1).
Grimbold has no quest ring over his head.
I have completed all of book 5. . .
SPOILERS
I have completed all the battle instances, and witnessed the death of Theodred. Then spoken to Grimbold. . .

Is this also a known issue and/or are other people seeing this? I suppose I could contact a GM. But I think I'd rather just wait until the fix for everyone comes through if this is a known issue. I'm in no hurry. I've already gone through it all already on my main.
Best,
H

It's known to many players, at least. Contacting a GM will get them to bestow you chapter 2.

This is not a known issue, we are aware. Due to the error with the quest, we have decided to lock it for now until we can issue a fix for this. Luckily, the fix is being worked on, so it shouldn't be too much longer until it is available to all once more, without issue.
Until then, yes, a GM can bestow the next quest if you wish to progress forwards.

I thought that might be the case. A humble/polite suggestion. . . might the known issue item be updated with the following: "Bestowal of the quest has been disabled until this issue can be addressed in future patch/update."
Of course, I wouldn't urge you to mention the GMs being able to help lest you want your GMs to scream bloody murder for increasing their workload. :p
Best Regards,
H
P.S. I realize you don't mean it this way, but that post has language in it that is just begging for certain anti-Turbine-agenda-holding folks to pick it apart. For example: A disabling of a bugged quest is "by design" and not a "known issue." And, we're "lucky" and fortunate that it is being worked on. Again, I know what you meant and realize you didn't mean it that way, but others with an agenda will be more likely to parse that uncharitably.

Ya, I'd started it awhile ago on my burglar, but when I came back after a break, I couldn't start it with my other characters. I hope that's going to be fixed soon!
eta: So it's okay to pester a GM about this?

I put in a ticket for it last night, and after about 30 minutes, a GM came on and gave me chapter 2. Was fairly painless, didn't even have to stop what I was doing.
