As far as the fighting goes. I will not claim to be the most aggressive leader ever. Nor the best leader. What I do provide is plenty of laughs. Talking way to fast that I butcher 90% of the creeps names. But What I will say is being outnumbered sucks. But there are some things we can do as freeps that we do not do often enough.
When I do lead I move around alot if we can't get kills on the current creeps. I keep us mounted and keep us moving. Most of the time the creeps are not all grouped. There may be a SS group, a BB group, few tribe groups, and a PUG. So the thing that I want to do is seperate these groups. By sticking to GV I cannot do this. Creeps use OOC extremely well. Creep logs in and asks and maps to GV. So now regardless of 5 groups they are in one mass. So what I try to do is move around. So then maybe the SS group checks lugs and we hit them at map spot. Then they call in OOC and I have the raid horsed and leaving. So creeps map in and we are gone.... They split again to find us and we hit a group at Aurochs and then I horse and move. Then HH and out. Then we swing back up and flank or backside the creeps at TR/GV. In doing this we succesfully turned the fight to superior freep numbers even though we are still outnumbered. I joke all the time in game voice when we roll up on 1 solo creep or small group. Yelling like a madman to focus fire when there is one creep and quick kill him before heals come and "how many freeps does it take to kill 1 reaver"?.
No plan is perfect and many times I over stay my welcome. Get a few kills then someone maps in and I get greedy and that was 1 creep to many. Other times someone stay back or is slow when I am telling them to get out. So we slow down and it costs us. But in the end it usually turns into some fun fights or fights where we can even the playing field around the map. Even when we overstay or it turns into something bigger we usually still come out very good. We kill a bunch and then the second wave comes in and we kill them and usually midway through second wave or after then all the creeps come back and we have the hoarde against us. But we were able to wipe a few individual groups until all of them showed up or got on the same page at least.
So the things us as freeps can do:
1) Move around ALOT. Make them burn those map cooldowns and make them get frustrated as they map somewhere and no freeps to be found only to see in OOC we are somewhere else. Eventually they will stop mapping in to every place.
2) divide and conquer. They are all not raided up. split these groups up somehow. Kind of blends with point 1. But even fighting in a spot like TR it is rare but you can split them. Make them decide to kill outside or inside. and when they have half and half use it against them and hit them hard in one spot.
3) group up! I have ranked various ways. When I first began coming to the moors there was no red line etc. But there also was no Diminishing returns. Solo and small groups with Oisal and Andalusia were OP. I could run into 3 creeps solo and easily take them as 2 stayed perma locked. I raided for some ranks and went back to solo for some ranks. Current state of the moors does not benefit solo nearly as much as past. Creeps usually are with 1 or more now. Farming for maps is no longer a must with many store bought items and skills. ****Being solo around the group is not solo. that is a leacher. Now I am not saying there is anything wrong with that. but do not believe you are soloing is my point. And if you do this then do not complain about GV camping etc. It is a product of the things going on****
^^^ again I wanna point out. I am not against leaching. to each there own. Just stating it is not soloing and it has a direct relation to stationary fighting. I leach often. Gust of wind,cracked earth etc.
4) Get out of Solo/Selfish mentality when you do group. I am a Lore-master I have SI,Wound Removals, stealth detect, debuffs and tar among other things. USE THEM!!! When I run solo or when I leach I want KB's and i want Stuns to prosper. In the raid I was calling targets for saturday I was yelling "i don't like any of you and I don't care what you have to say. I just need you for rank 12 so focus my F****** target". of course all in fun.
But I give instuctions on things I do not seen done often enough in groups. hunters and Minny's have a fear. I am constantly yelling to fear S***. I tell everyone just tab and fear something I don't care what. I tried marking healers and assaigning a raid member to fear and harrass that healer. But with constant people in and out and a PUG that doesnt work. so i swapped to just fear something. But my job when I call targets is to CC and slow the &&&& out of a target and you all blow it up. KB's do not stack up in raids for me on a Lore-master. People need to realize in a raid if we are losing that is not the time to hold off your big hit for that KB on someone. Just BLAST the fool. To many people do not use what they can to help the raid survive and to many save that big hit for when they are low to ninja a KB. problem is they never get hit with burst and time for healers to find them and heal them.
5) Step up to the plate. I am not the best player to play a Lore-master and you will never see me claim that. Current state 1 vs 1 I am not close to what I have been in the past or where I wanna be. I am not a HUGE fan of scheduled 1 vs 1's. I like running in and if i get the jump cool and if the creep does then cool. Unfortunately it does not happen to often anymore so since I came back I really have not had the chance. The few times I have I am still getting used to the changes to creeps mostly. heck I just learned my tar can play no effect on a reaver for 8 seconds now. That screwed my entire old strat against reavers :P.
But the point is. One day I decided to try and lead a group. Had a few friends and we grouped. We then got overwhelmed and I am never a fan of people complaining about the problem and well I didn't like the situation. So I stepped up and made a raid. Very few people would join at first as nobody knew me. with time came more people and soon I had people sending me tells If i was leading etc.
Point being is if you don't like it. Then change it. Step up and lead. If it fails it fails. &&&& happens and you will get better and people will trust you more. Grab the reigns and run with that. We are like sheep we just need a shepard....Will you be our Shepard? lol
