what do you think about the new aud.

i have noticed that the new aud level at 25 is going to a giant problem. As an average player at best and all my creeps at mid level i am going to get drilled as freeps switch to the new aud. armor. I mean they pick up 3 essences on each piece and 1 more point. i thought that this was suppose to be creep love. so the freeps get endless options to dial the toon in. they now get set bonus for gear and essence and aud. what we get is stomped the #### out of because it cost so much to get any aud.. i know this qq but the first week was good fair fighting then i noticed that i am not hitting as hard as i was even with leveling up. I can only assume it is that the creeps are already buying the armor at a nice price of 4ooocoms instead of the 6k or 7.5k we pay for one point they pay 4k get 4 points and 3 essences slot. I just think they made the creeps that much op and in 3 months. I know this is my opinion only. Please tell me what you all think.

The new Audacity simply increases damage by +6% if maxed out and decreases Crowd Control Duration .Technically more than 19 Audacity is useless to any healing creep class since Heal Potency is completely unaffected.I expected the new extra to be different but honestly for 7.500Comms per Audacity is completely useless for what you get in return.I've only bothered to get my Reaver Audacity so far and I will consider about spending Comms for my other toons.Honestly only DPS classes will win from increasing their Audacity and the gain is very small in the first place.

19 Audacity = -50% Crowd Control Duration.
-40% On all incoming damage.
+19% On All Damage Forms(Healing Potency Unaffected).

25 Audacity = -60% Crowd Control Duration.
-40% On all incoming damage.
+25% On All Damage Forms(Healing Potency Unaffected).

I don't like it - Full Disclosure I do not like Essence Armor at all

I liked having class specific armor and having to build around it to make a strong toon. I liked that you were forced into making sacrifices. I liked class specific set bonuses too.

Additionally the light armor essence robes both the PvE robes and especially the PvP robes are U G L Y!!!!!!!

I have always really liked the Mini's PvP armor look.

I am all over the place about what to do about the new armor, I do not want any part of it, but math says I should get it, at the moment I have been picking up pieces and playing around with essences in it but I have been running mostly my Minis PvP armor from before, and to be honest I have been fine in the old stuff. Between my dislike of Essence as a whole combined with my hatred for the looks of the PvP robes I may simply not switch, the creeps aren't going to be sad that I have less audacity, and I may very well be happier too. I haven't decided yet for sure what to do, but either way I am very unhappy with it.

But seriously, I am not a fan of essences due to the numerous exploits turbine lazily fixed. And it's really quite hard to afford audacity since I tend to play at night, and sometimes there are only 2 freeps on, or a heal zerg of them. There really is no in-between on landy. I have resorted to doing quests most of the time on each of my tunes to get a leg up on the commendations, but 7,500 is a bit excessive. If anything, turbine should have reset audacity back to zero, refunded the commendations, then let us buy it all back again at the lower prices.

As a Minstrel, I agree with pretty much every single sentence of this post.

Also, I'd like to add that the new socketed audacity armour for freep players made the distance between freep and creep defense more wide than never before, in my opinion.

After the release of the last PvP content, I don't think there is hope for balancing the 2 sides in the close or distant future.

It's more than obvious; the company deceives creep players straight in their faces.

It's sad, if I may say so.

As a LOTRO player/costumer, I don't like this mess they've caused to LOTRO PvP and I don't have the will to turn my back to their failure, not any more after 5 years of non-stop game play.

But they're the last ones who care enough to fix their mistakes, after all. w/e

I find the changes in audacity great for the game, for bringing new players to pvmp.
The new creep and freep players get the damage reduction from the start. Freeps can begin to play with normal DA-armor - they compensate some of the 25% damage bonus with mastery from the fourth essence slot, until they can buy the new armor. They can choose to play the whole time with pve armor - adding more flexibility. Scaled players also get the damage reduction.
Creeps can choose to buy corruptions and skills from the start, and leave the expensive audacity for later. The audacity is not the problem here.... the corruptions are. Imho most of the corruptions are way too weak.

is the cost of 13-19 aud still 6k each?

THANK YOU! What's with the stupid looking level 10-ish helmet? I feel like some kind of monk with the thing not hidden. Heavy classes get to look badass.

Far as creep goes the new audacity levels are pretty much negligible. The small damage boost and CC reduction is totally useless compared to the open ended variety of essence armor.

Also, some burgs get totally shafted by losing their +10% run speed bonus if they choose to use the new armor. I never liked any other class bonus but I sure will miss that one...
