Bullroarer Update 22 (#3) - Preview and Release Notes

Bullroarer has been updated to build 2202.0059.6446.1600

Many areas have been further polished and quite a few bugs have been addressed. As such, the patch note list is quite short this round, despite numerous improvements since the last build.

Updated this build:

• The Relic-Master "Deconstruct All" button has been replaced with a drop-down menu for selecting the deconstruction type. When Selected is active, the cost field reflects the currently selected item and pressing Deconstruct will destroy only that item. When All is active, the cost field reflects all eligible items and pressed Deconstruct will destroy all of them.
• PREVIEW ONLY: Trait configuration swap cooldown changed to 30 seconds (down from 1 minute)
• PREVIEW ONLY: Many platforms and stairways throughout Eryn Lasgalen have been solidified
• PREVIEW ONLY: Concerning Spiders can now be properly completed
• PREVIEW ONLY: Various NPCs now have the appropriate appearances

I'm not sure if it's intended or not, but I've noticed that when I go into Erebor the song "The Golden Wood" often plays. Personally I find a song meant for Lorien to be quite out of place in the context of Erebor. It just doesn't feel right I don't think. I'd suggest it be replaced with a Moria song instead such as "A journey in the Dark". I think that one would fit Erebor very well.

Noticing some persisting bald spot issues on new avatars' heads.

Bug reports submitted with screenshots and provided info of affected head + hair combinations.

Urging players to take a close look at their characters and submit /bugs if you notice any graphic issues (since I was focusing mainly on my own alts). To access info about head + hair combinations just visit any barber.

~ I do not know If the bug was prevalent in the prior beta release , but any eventual death within Felegoth {The Halls of the Elven King} sends player swiftly to Durin's Threshold {The Great Delving,Khazad Dum} Tis recorded in one of my videos, hopefully It shall be uploaded today.

~ There are few locations in Cellars when players can easily get stuck and forces one inevitably to use ./stuck and wait one minute for teleport.

High Elves:

~ Remove the in combat voices/Sounds anything related to the Common elves {Wood Elves} when playing as High Elf Male/Female It seems odd and funny, tis a combination of voices of the High and "Normal" elf, it constantly switches on randomly.

~ Champion's Bracing Attack skill will not execute properly due to incorrect animation {High Elves only} Dual wielding even, it was always off hand attack + main hand weapon but it executes only One weapon always if played as High Elf.

~ Felegoth seems too quiet from my side, No soundtrack played upon entering ,Or maybe there is none at all.

Personal opinion:

~ Various cosmetics weapon cosmetic skin aren't impressive at all, For instance Erebor's Halberd, Lasgallen Bow,Sword/Dagger of the Northern Kingdoms, while not fond of the upgrading gear nor tis my desire to acquire new items I believe the cost is a bit expensive, slightly reduce the Token requirement {New Barter item}

It was my first visit, the update overall truly is incredible. I shall provide more info once I venture further on. The forest is super detailed, very gloomy, filled with terrors and mystery, the only woodland realm I've felt so closely connected to the Old Forest.

Update 1:

The Invisible floor glitch/stuck in. Common old bug {Ruins of Caras Tilion} Its been recorded as well. Can be possibly bypassed by jumping off with a horse.

Update 2:

Floor glitch within Loeglond, Marvellous ,extraordinary amount of details, gorgeous but severe FPS drop/Floor glitch.

Severe FPS Drop/performance impact is insane, I was receiving 15 FPS the lowest ever.

Update 3:

The Long Lake soundtrack is the same one from Lake Nenuial {Evendim}

The FPS drop within Lake Town and City of Dale for personally have had the worst impact ever , even greater than Minas Tirith. Below 15 FPS, I assume its due to huge number of NPC's in dense small spots and so on. The Engine cannot handle it well.



Vanya Sulie

Tis massive based on the Landscape size possibly even surpassing The Ice-Bay of Forocohel. The Northern Mirkwood,Lake,Dale-Lands,The Lonely Mountain combined in one single enormous update.

The World design in general is top-notch. Soundtrack fits perfectly. The most essential part was completed flawlessly, capturing the immersion of the Mirkwood, Lake and Erebor. A proof one can have most excellent quality even after 11 years old the Original Vanilla release. Disregarding the common, inevitable Performance bugs, glitches or Framerate Drop I cannot complain. Tis more than I could have ever hoped for. They never disappointed with the main story nor lore, I do not have doubts in these points at all. From very moment I teleported to Elven ruin until final sight of the Erebor , I have only felt a shock ,awe and marvel in a positive way. Twas a wondrous sight and a joy. The realm of Men , Elves and Dwarves all in once. Perfection. Incredibly well done , you have managed to fit it masterfully.

The Strongholds of the North is the best single Non Instance update I ever had privilege to play. I have spent few hours more as well exploring, slaughtering foes and reading about lore. It was not recorded. Due to enormous experience and my inner sense I know well what I do I truly love, it take very little to release indeed. Again Eternal Gratitude and for final , Thank you SSG.

Please do this and add a few new high elf screams to take their places. It's very jarring.

the lake-town quest series was now possible to finish and the dale-questchain worked, too.
When playing Erebor questchain, I got stuck with "Forging trust" as I couldnt find the 4th mistrustful dwarf.
So, it goes on.
I'm looking forward to a fully working questchain. Maybe, theres time to write Questtexts then. There was a lot of DNT/TDB/TBD, and most was english text in german client, despite sound already being german often. I'd have though text comes before soundfiles, but okay... any order you like.

I followed the under the mountain quest line and I received the quest 'Instance : The Legacy of Durin's Folk'.

I talked to King Thorin III and entered to the instanced then it is automatically completed but it is still remain uncompleted when I left the instance.

please fix this.

Gorgoroth Skarn gives haunt Skarn. Ornament pets throttle is either a raven or something else. Deer are named Mirkwood Wolf and so on. A professional company is not exactly behind.

I totally agree with Thaliruth - the german localization needs better treatment. Many strings are not correct, the Mordor Map still contains horrible grammar failures and more. Look at these example screenshots:

I love this game, still play it after 11 years without a long break and I recommend it to friends and other people. But it becomes harder and harder to show the beatiful sites of this game when the german player base is treatened like this.
A good localization company in germany can't be that unaffordable?!

Hope it will be better in the future, that makes the game look like the first game from a little developer, not from SSG...

They could even allow certain players to make the localization and it would for sure be better.
Dont need to be professional or good to beat what they do. Knowing the language and having some time is totally enough.

It sometimes seems to me that they are using Google translator.
Not sure in what context 'beacon' is used, but they translated this as Leuchtfeuer. If the beacon is used in the sense of a light tower, then that is a Leuchtturm. But it is possible that I am wrong here.
Also, back when there were issues with Steam, someone translated this to Dampf.
I agree that the players would do a far better job than whoever is doing this now.

1. Effect after cleaning mud in Barracks of Lake-Tows is the same as when ravenclaws bury in the ground.
2. Dagrun in Trade Comission Headquaters and Frekur in Lake-Town Trading Hall are writing something, but thay dont have pen. It strikes the eye. https://imgur.com/a/rOp0w

5. What are these usable fish trophies inside buildings of Lake-Town for? I havent got appropriate deed for them.
6. Pls add more dialogs for non-quest citizen NPCs. This strongly affects the atmosphere of the settlements.
7. Pls add all dyes to E&G Tavern.
8. I think you need to change your hired illustrator Ted Nasmith. I apologize, but his drawings are inferior in quality to the previous ones. Mordor loading screen looks bad, 2d. This is level of browser game, but not of our loved desktop mmo. Also, new Rhovanion map doesnt fit the style of other region maps.
9. Deed Explorer Of The Dale Lands: I explored Esgaroth-Of-Old and Bones of Smaug, but it didnt appear in deed log.

Many things I would like you to improve, but despite this, this update will be the best in last years! Good job!

Dont know why you didnt, but I found the wolf boss near the ruins. so thats not generally bugged. didnt search for lynxes though.

the lynx boss snowfell is hidden and if you run around there the boss will appear. moose boss is easy to find because it doesn't move too far from the place the quest indicates.

You said you reached an instance in the Erebor quests, but I can't get past the second set of quests...

With Forging Trust, there's only 3 mistrustful dwarves inside the hall. There's a fourth spot down the stairs and pretty much in the centre of the entire hall - but there's no mistrustful dwarf to target.

The Surgeons Gauntlets of the abyss should have outgoing healing instead of phys mastery. The Leader's Guantlets should have Crit D, Tact Mit, Evade, Block, Or Parry instead of Fate. The stats on the Surgeons Pauldrons, Sabatons, and Greaves are fine (they certainly could be crit rating and outgoing healing though......but IMPORTANTLY, Block from Surgeons Pualdrons should be on Leader's Pualdrons in place of physical mastery, and the other stats on the Surgeons Pauldrons, Sabatons, and Greaves should be on the Leader's versions of the gear instead of the phys mastery and critical rating! In the context of Lord of the Rings the translation of 'beacon' to 'Leuchtturm' would be rather irritating. Those beacons of Gondor are are called 'Leuchtfeuer von Gondor' in other sources:

Yes, I had to wander where the last mistrustful dwarf is, and found him by chance that i could hardly sure the exact place.

I was trying to go outside the palace to find him but in the middle of the way i detected the yellow name and just got to finish the quest.

the last one could be found the middle line of the palace from King to the door as far as I remembered.

Yeah youre right. I came to kill wolf for a 3rd time and succeded to find him. I didnt search good for lynx because of wolf problem - thought it could be the same. My bad

1. quest Concerned Dale-Folk - when I talked to each of these 5 npcs, rings over their heads didnt dissapear. But every conversation was counted. The rings disappeared only when I talked to all 5. Situation repeated with distressed Dorwinions(2nd part of this quest).
2. ! Barter items for Mane of the Dale reputation Guide to Dale and Muster in Dale(hunter and warden teleportaions) DONT HAVE CLASS REQUIREMENTS! I can use them on my champion! https://imgur.com/a/O0Ylu
3. Pls add new potions(not crafted!) with maximul level of target 120lvl. Now it is 110 and this potions are useless in the Moors, raids or new locations.

Simple answer... it does not matter if its every player or no players, it is not getting changed because it has not affected loot box sales. Those are the only changes we can look forward to now is if loot box key sales are affected. So, if every Captain and Guardian stopped opening boxes like their lives depended on it it would make SSG take notice of an actual issue and maybe fix it. but since most players can not stop opening boxes like the world will end if they dont, than dont expect any real issues to get fixed.

"Leuchtfeuer" was not a Google translation. It was a suggestion of the german speaking players, because Turbine had chosen as name "Lauffeuer" (wildfire).
