Original BBC Radio drama scripts and a new book

Scripts for the original BBC radio drama series of The Lord of the Rings, broadcast in 1955 and 1956, have been discovered by an Oxford academic. Thought to have been lost they include a sheet in Tolkien's hand with his reworking of a scene. The discovery will feature in a new book, The Great Tales Never End: Essays in Memory of Christopher Tolkien, to be published by the Bodleian Library in June.
