Multiboxing

-Article 4 of the code of conduct: By playing the Game or participating in related services, it is forbidden to behave in a way that interferes with the normal practice of the Game, attacks or threatens other players, or even degrades the performance of the service or other players' software (by deliberately using bugs or flaws in the game, for example, to harm the proper functioning of the game by multiplying the objects or creatures provoked).

-Article 17 of the Code of Conduct: It is forbidden to exploit, distribute or publicly communicate any bugs, errors or flaws in the Game that provide an undesired advantage to those who take part in it in the world of the Game.

-Article 18 of the code of conduct: It is forbidden to create, post, use or distribute any utility, emulator or software tool of a third party (including, without limitation, macro programs or robot programs, server emulators, card or client cracking programs and data collection utilities).

Multiboxing is a term used most often in MMORPGs. It defines a game technique consisting of playing several characters simultaneously. This can be achieved by using multiple separate computers (running the game on each machine) or by running multiple separate instances of the game on a single machine.

So I ask SSG if multiboxing is allowed or not. A player has been using 20 black arrows in the Evernight Moors for two or three days. But he plays, and has not a ban/sanction. Is the moderation team on leave from work?
This player would have done the same thing on Arkenstone, but it doesn't seem to bother anyone.
XXXXXX, defiler rank 9, replays his 5 or 6 defiler multiboxes whenever he wishes. I don't know if it's the same player, but he's not sanctioned either.

Some players have been banned for making simple spars, which has been confused by rank farming.

I will add that the player kills the game by his raid alone, but he brings even more lags in the moors.
Already the game is not good on this side, the player thought it was a good idea to bring twenty more characters, so that the game is even more unplayable.

Finally, I'm not talking about the players who take advantage of him by staying by his side, to take the points easy and create more lags.

I would not be against a permanent ban for the multiboxer, and a rollback of the server so that everyone can lose the points earned. But, that wouldn't be cool towards other players, pve players.

I know it's not easy to ban a multiboxer, no doubt he will start again. Find a way, I'm not your coder @SSG.

Sorry for the long text, but the support team handling tickets may be sleepy. So I allow myself to create a subject here, as useless as it is.

PvP is bad enough to handle cases like this.

You really are wasting time, especially quoting the rules of conduct, they enforce what they want to. and they don't want to discourage multiboxers spending more money than the average pvmp player out in the moors. facts, so you gotta learn to deal with it, treat them like roaming landscape mobs, bring just a few friends, and you can own a multiboxer fairly easy, speaking as someone who used to spend tons of times multiboxing the moors, the only real complaints I hear of it, are here. I've had many freeps log, on to thank me for fights, and bringing more then the shuffle into their lives.

It took around 8 years to get them to make clubbing against the rules and where did it get us? Absolutely nowhere. Why? because they don't enforce it.

So, even if you could get them to change the rules on multiboxing, what makes you think anything would change?

The devs have said several times over the years that multiboxing is allowed in LOTRO. I have not heard that this should have changed.
Fully automated play is not allowed however, so you need to actually play the game yourself rather than let some robot-software do it for you.

The classes having become free, SSG no longer earns any money. What did they thank you for? For thoughtless games? For lag in the Landes?

SSG applies the rules, but it is depending on the customer. Some people are banned for futile things, others not at all. Some people are renamed, others not. Thank you SSG.

IMHO in this situation support must check that player and Cordovan must use it as example what legal and what not legal here. Right now it looks like player not only abuse system, but also bragging about SSG never punish him for his actions. We all have some sort of freedom, but here we talking about company reputation.

How multiboxing can be authorized when it goes against 3 articles in the Code of Driving Code (and I did not go to look at the other charters).
If multiboxing is allowed, they make an option in the game that allows you to synchronize each opened Lotro window.
If it was, I think no one would play with anyone, and that we would all do this kind of thing.

Manualy controled accounts allowed. But I can't see how you can manualy control 20 accounts in The Moors on big servers. Too many lags.

This was a long time ago, before lag was crippling. and I would get thanked for good, or interesting fights against groups. and whales still will pay money for the corruptions, skills. in any case if you want to know why you wont hear a response from ssg or at least anything definitively is exactly what one of the boxing software companies points out here https://isboxer.com/multiboxing/is-isboxer-allowed

I don't know if you understand the context of multiboxing. He controls 20 creeps at the same time. If he moves his main creep, the others move at the same time. If he does an emote, the others do it at the same time. Yes, because of the lags it's complicated, but he manages to kill heroes, in a single skill x20.

So how is rank farming forbidden? Since the player in question paid to bring his character. Why is he banned when he's not mean and doesn't hide what he does? What is the difference with multiboxing?
If we take your link, companies do not ban if it brings them money. Here, you just have to create an account, raise a character to level 2 (it takes 5 minutes) and you have access to all the creeps classes in the game. Where is the money for SSG? If the pvp had continued to be paying, I say to myself why not. Here, the multiboxer simply wants to create a general cancer.

The game therefore puts forward rules that contradict themselves. What is the point of the game? We all have to multibox because it's allowed and SSG won't do anything? So go, we're all going to have 10 creeps at the same time, but what can SSG do?

I think that SSG must enforce all rules to all players. Because it is enough to authorize only one so that it becomes anything. The game is like real life. You authorize a violation on the road to someone, why would you prohibit it to another?

Some players get banned directly after rank farming, others don't, despite repeated tickets.

SSG is incompetent in their field, or there is something I don't understand.

I think you are overestimating how many accounts you can log in at the same time, for me 6 was the limit, technically you could sign on many more, but I would loose bandwith, and not be able to log on other accounts on the same computer. I cant imagine the game (especially now days) could support that many accounts at a time.

the concern wasn't sync of characters all doing emotes or whatever movements, they are concerned with botting though, I mean there has to be a live person there behind the computer.
I would agree with you totally on rank farming, does anyone get banned for that anymore? it had its place when there was a leaderboard, which is why I believe they got rid of the leaderboard in the first place, it was pretty obvious who was rank farming when everyone could see the individuals infamy renown for the day.

you want multiboxing fixed in pvmp? then make pvmp instanced

Lmao what? There's literally 2 separate 24 man BA boxers on ark right now. You can log on and see them with your eyes. Very clearly a single person controlling 24. How are you arguing that they can't do that?

I didn't . I clearly say you can log on many more, I said I couldn't. the most I could ever log on was 9 before I could not start another client. on my computer, however I am surprised that others are.. maybe lives next door to the server with a far better connection.

Don't forget the spider boxer that used to be out there with I don't remember how many spiders and baby spiders. He could take down whole raid groups in one click.

obviously you cant stand there and take focused fire from 24 BA's single targeting you so try a different approach.

Multiboxing is why this game will never attract serious pvp'ers among other things....

Is not just devs fault. Its players who complain against it fault. Pretending to know what pvp is, having no time to get rank, or no firends and usualy get deleted in Moors. So they redirect their hate to ppl who have fun and some knowleadge about he classes they play...

its fun and all since LOTRO PvMP is basically an open world to do whatever you want. Rank farm, fight club 1v1's, make small groups, roam solo, make RvR action, run a multibox setup, its all in fun and attracts people.

lets be honest, even if they somehow managed to achieve perfect balance.....LAG would kill any hope of even competition.

making it a closed instance, pre-made group pvmp would be great and a great option to avoid LAG and boxing but i just dont think the player pop could support it long as that usually gets pretty toxic and the main player base is too casual to take the abuse.

i may be wrong, but would SSG roll the dice and spend the dev time and $ to implement it? maybe on an official pvmp server? but i cant see that sustaining itself spread over all the live servers, most of which are dead for PvMP.

Actualy is PvP. Player vs player. No matter what othr players play. Monsters or Sauron itself you fight the player, not the class. For rest i agree. The game is casual, There is not even ranked pvp. For the instances, they are not a solution. Delvings, raids etc etc are instances too, and stil we lag there. I know if they find a solution, devs will rid of the lag. Hope it happens one day.
