I tried to preorder moria the other day, the conversation goes like this.
"Oh this comes with a free shirt *starts digging through his stuff for the shirt in the back* "What size is he?"
"Excuse me?"
"The guy your getting this for, what shirt size is he?"
"I'm a medium."
"Oh we're out of mediums."
"I think i'll survive without a free t-shirt."
"Ok well here is your reciept, I hope he enjoys it."
"Indeed I will, have a good day."

Another thing I've encountered is the 'step back and give a wierd look' mentallity when guys find out I play mainly creepside. Yes I'm a Warg. Yes I spend my nights hunting down and killing other people......they really seem to have a problem with that.
Seems it's sexy and cool to be a girl gamer.....but you're scary and wierd if you like pvp....go figure.

I found out about LOTRO from an email a friend sent. Once I adjusted the graphic settings to a point where I could move my character, I fell in love with the game. It was and still is absolutely gorgeous, even with graphics on low.
I only play in the Moors these days, even though I started out only PVEing because I thought I'd never ever want to play in a pvp zone. Heh that sure changed. :D
Most of my chars are on Ark but I'm slowly working on maps on E. I had heard there were several female gamers on creep side on E, and a server with a little less testosterone can't be a bad thing. :D So here I am.
So if you see Nevermind, Ijustpassedgas, or Cuddlecakes running around, feel free to not eat me. ;)

Also a female gamer, I have played Diablo, DAOC (best housing ive seen :)) WOW and now LOTRO for over a year. My husband and I have always played together, with our sons joining us at various times. Have a 50 Captian , 50 Champ and 46 Mini. Looking forward to MOM release. LOTRO has by far been the best game in so many ways, we signed up for lifetime. Glad to see there are so many female gamers.

Gender doesn't matter to me. Iow, being male or female does not make one superior to the other. What does matter to me is whether that player is considerate in-game. I think too much is being made of the differences between genders. We all love this game, we're playing it. End of story. Sure I'm proud to be female, but I wouldn't go shoving that in people's faces at every turn.
As for guy gamers posts, well, I'd welcome that wholeheartedly, even though I'm not a guy. :D
I agree totally.. but I think that the purpose for this thread was misunderstood. I started this thread when I first started playing lotro. This is my first mmo and I was curious as to how many other girls out there were playing and to get their experiences. It was cool to meet other woman playing that also had kids and how they play around their schedules. Thank you for all the responses over the past year and keep em comin!!!Quote:
