It's funny to see you brag about getting to 5 stars. You play, arguably, the most powerful class that Freepside has. You openly admit to only running around with Kinmates and never leaving their side. The only real accomplishment of you getting to 5 stars is the patience it must have taken to just sit there, especially for the last 100 rating.
Stop bragging about something that really isn't an accomplishment. Had you done this in SoA, or by solo'ing even a little, you'd deserve some more credit. But getting 5-stars on an easymode class is nothing to write home about. Oh, and I suppose you deserve kudos for denying ****** Creep players some easy kills.

If his playstyle is boring to you, that just means that he has more patience than you. Having more patience than your opponent, in the battlefield, is an asset, and a big asset at that, for players who know how to utilize the disparity in patience to their advantage. In addition, patience can be fun, such as in a good game of chess. Balls to the walls, imo, is boring because the outcome is predictable. Oh, and there are rarely fights that could either way......please don't forget, this is the 'moors we're talking about.

What "most powerful class that Freepside has" are you talking about? Does he play something other than his minstrel, burg or warden, as referenced by his sig? I'm curious.....truly....

By that argument you can say getting rank is not an accomplishment too. You can get it while you are half afk in group and not have to do a thing...

Hahaha. Had I done this in SoA, I would have been really amazing considering I bought the game post MoM. Anyway, I started PvPing in a time of incurrable BA dots and unstoppable CJs. Where is the easy mode there? People say patience is a virtue for a reason. Working towards something that takes a lot of patience is harder than you realize.
This whole thread is about bragging. Why else would anyone anyone start a thread for showcasing their wartab page if not to brag?

Getting rank isn't an accomplishment. Any monkey that can bang his head on the keyboard can gain rank....even if it's slow. You can never go backwards in renown/infamy, which means there is no accomplishment involved at all. The accomplishment, albeit a very small accomplishment, is in being able to have enough playtime to gain the renown/infamy required to achieve a specific rank, not the accumulation of renown/infamy itself.

Well you did do the last star and a half from the rez where no one could even hit you :)

I agree with this. I didn't say anything pertaining to rank tho, so this was random statement, o well

This is a game, not RL. I also hate slow pokes in chess. I don't mind the 1 minute think time but if people take 2+ minutes to move per turn in chess it simply becomes boring. The game of chess should be constant thinking, even after I move while the opponents turn I think: what would be the best move to my opponent and if moved there what is going be my best move. That way once my opponent moves I have many strategies planned out ahead of time and therefore 2 minutes shouldn't be needed for a move.
Btw, you just said "balls to the walls, imo, is boring because the OUTCOME is PREDICTABLE." Starhugging has a very predictable outcome, even more than balls to the wall. I don't have a clue what the point of anything you said is when you say the opposite thing back to back.
P.S. More war-tabs plz!

Sounds like a smart minstrel. Eliminate melee opponents and you make things much easier on yourself, as a minstrel.

It is part of Real Life, though, lol. Real time goes into it. Sometimes real feelings do too. You are a REAL person playing a game, just like a real person playing Chess....whether it's Chess in person or over the internet or over e-mail. As said earlier, patience is a virtue. E-mail games of Chess, a very popular and fun way to play it, can sometimes take years to finish a game.

Balls to the wall is predictable because you know that you will eventually die, and you have nothing pushing you to play your best. Star hugging, or more euphomistically phrased "killing with enough skill that doesn't include/require dying" is very unpredictable. The reason for it's lack of predictability is that when situations arise when the opponent gets the jump on you, many times you don't know if you will survive or not. Survival actually means something. It has value, and quite a bit at that.
In addition, the mistake most star-haters make is assuming that players cautiously actually care about stars, when they don't. Stars are a byproduct of efficient playstyles. Stars aren't typically the goal. Many people commonly called star huggers will continue to resume their efficient playstyle long after they have reached and retained 2000 rating.

Pretty much this.
The goal is to kill and not be killed. To deny your opponent what they want the most and in turn, delaying their eventual increase in strength.

What are you talking about? Balls to the walls is not predictable and does not mean you are going in to suicide. It is going all out and first pulling back so you escape at the brink of death: no sooner, no later. That very well would push one to their best by escaping at the brink of death, yet achieving as many kill as possible. Star hugging, however, encourages people to not put themselves in danger and therefore are not escaping at the brink of death, but much earlier. Therefore, everything is essentially predetermined and no skill is required because it is likely you could have stayed in longer, got more kills, and still made it out alive.
"Killing with enough skill that doesn't include/require dying" is very predictable. All you'd have to do is stand at the one-shotters, with no risk at all, and let others tag stuff. It may be "efficient/skillful" or however you wanna call it in your head, but that doesn't change the fact that there is 0 risk involved which means 100% predictable of the end result. If you can't comprehend that, well o well. Bye Bye brick wall.

When did playing a minstrel become easy mode? -Doubtful.
Minstrel is a semi-hard class ( not easy mode ), and why would she stop bragging about her 5 stars, when this is a war-tab post? Meh.

I think you are mistaken or confused about your own description. A star-hugger can play a "balls to the wall" playstyle, as described by you. How do you know they aren't playing "balls to the wall" in the first place? Technically, they are fighting to their calculated "brink of death", and surviving, while also killing as many as possible. They are in the 'moors, and therefore putting themselves in danger.

Wrong. There are ways to kill players who are standing at the 1-shotters, and if you had played against any skilled opponents, you would realize this. Since you don't seem to realize this, I would conclude that you haven't played against any good players. This certainly explains your version of "pushing yourself to the brink of death" as something other than coming out for a very short moment, killing, and going back to safety (what you feel star-huggers do) -- your opponents aren't very good, and let you stay around instead of killing you immediately like good players would.

Someone w/ 5 stars is not playing balls to the wall... k? Hence the reason they HAVE 5 stars...
ppl that achieve this type of rating play very cautiously .... not all out .
FCing is also a possibility when talking about 2.000 rating

All i remember about you was a person who hugged the zerg solo, so he could farm more renown and hauling *** back towards safety anytime he got hit by a auto attack...
You remind me of Thiagothir in some ways... always there to farm, never there to fight....
