The 24 hour gaming marathon for charity

Glad I saw this!

I participated in the extra life event last year (*mutters* another game-I've come to my senses and am at home in Lotro again) -- it was a great event and I'm soooooo glad turbine is doing this.

I was born with severe eye abnormalities/vision issues and spent a lot of time as a kid at Vancouver Children's Hospital. It is due to their amazing care - I had several extensive surgeries along with a whackload of other stuff - that I can see well enough to be a happily screaming mini today.

Thanks to all the donors - oh and participants -- two words...RED BULL! :P

Once I skimmed this thread, I couldn't *not* donate. Good luck with your efforts Sapience and I hope the community manages to break the 17.5k mark!

I know it can be set up with a banking account.... but you must verify the bank account before it will work.

Also, you can also set it up with a credit card.

Sapience, you seem very attached to that beard. Maybe it's permanency is not endangered, but for your next goal, would you consider painting it gold to match that Legolas wig?

oOo... Team Turbine is less than $100 dollars from the #2 overall fundraiser. I wonder how soon we can take over that spot.

Just an idea to get even more money in - how about you get the designers to knock up an exclusive 168% Mount of the Hero that is just for donors only?

I already have my bank account set up with Paypal but it tells me 'Direct Debiting is not available for this transaction.' :(

And $10 closer... Not a lot, but it's what I can afford.

Even though it has little effect on me (Being based in Australia), every child deserves assistance and medical aid when needed, no matter where in the world.

Considering the amount of chest waxing that would take.... no.


We're just a couple hundred away from $11,000. To sweeten the pot I've added up 3 of the PAX Prime riders of Rohan shirts we gave out last month. 3 random donors will each get one (please donate a Minimum of $1. Donations under that amount cost nearly as much to process as the donation itself).

Also, since you guys seem to have lost hope of ever seeing this face clean shaven....

Out of curiosity, when should we see our titles and mount code for donating? Just want to make sure it doesn't get lost in my email.

I've been trying to rally support from rl friends and family. Debating to shave my own beard if they can help him reach his goal. I haven't committed yet though =/

If you aren't aware, we hit more milestones over the past couple of days.

$15000 would be a superb effort, but then $12000 is. Really impressed with the community response to this, glad to be rubbing shoulders with folks who will donate to help those in need.

One question: my wife and I donate some time ago but without email but our account owner names. Is this enough to contact us for the title etc?

I guess you could drop Sapience a PM from your forum account giving your donator name and your account e-mail address. I did contact him after forgetting to give some info on the extra-life page and he happily responded :)
