Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Age: 27
Character Name: Annuiel
Race: Elf
Class: Minstrel
Level: 9
RP: Heavy
I am online daily, for between 5 and 10 hours, depending on work. I am looking for a kindship which is heavily involved in rping, and is not solely focused on raids or endgame content. I enjoy these things, as they come, but also developing a storyline with one's character/s, and interaction between characters, a sense of camraderie.
Hoping there's a kindship out there with people who enjoy the same things.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Myself and a good close friend are looking for a kinship currently.
My in-game name is Zyros and I am currently a level 23 minstrel. My friend has a level 23 guardian and a 35 burglar.
My friend plays everyday and I play about 4-5 days a week.
We have both played many other MMO's, including dark age of camelot and world of warcraft. Were both layed back and looking for some fun. Were interested in obviously leveling up and getting into some of the raiding, then of course the endgame of pvp.
If anybody has some room and wants to give us a try shoot me a tell in-game on Zyros or PM me here.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Hi there, I've been looking around for a kinship so i figured this couldn't hurt.
Age: 20
Main Character's Name: Celebreg
Main Details Currently: Level 22 Elf Hunter
Roleplaying: Medium to Heavy I suppose. I love to roleplay whenever I get a chance. I'm a bit of a Tolkien lore nut also, so the endless trivia comes in handy at times too.
Gaming Style: I'd say I'm more on the casual side although I'd consider raiding a bit once I level up more. It's not something that is necessary for me to have fun though. I've played several mmo's in the past. Started with EQ and then jumped around from DAoC, CoH, Lineage 2, EQ2, Guild Wars, and WoW (for about a month).
What I look for in a kinship is just a group of players that like to have fun together. A lively guild chat is always nice. Regular guild events are nice but not necessarily that big of a deal. I'd really like to make some friends to RP with. I generally will get along with most anyone, and I'd like to think that people get along well with me.
Oh and a side note. I also like to make alts, and I generally don't like them spread out in a bunch of kinships. So I will probably be staying away from any race/class restricted kinships.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Character Name: Maurik
Race: Hobbit
Class: Burglar
Level: 17
Timezone: Eastern (-5GMT)
I am new to the game and haven't really met many people yet, so I am hoping this will help me out.
Real Age: 26 (Married and I have a kid)
Playtimes: Varies with my work schedule. Currently I play between the times of 10-Midnight on Fri - Mon and quite a bit during the daytime on Tues - Thurs. I would really like to find a kinship that has at least some players around during daytime and nighttime.
RP: I 'try' to stay in character all the time but I consider myself a light-medium roleplayer because it is still new to me.
Raiding: I've done it in the past in other games. I enjoy it but want to keep it to a casual basis (Once a week, or every other week or so).
PvMP: Not high enough to try with my burglar yet but I probably will do it on a semi-regular basis when I get there.
Preferred Playstyle: Casual. (Once again, married and a parent)
Voice: I don't have a problem with using it at all.
Best Way to reach me: In game mail or PM me here.
If anyone might be interested in talking with me more or has any ideas about a kinship that may fit for me, please let me know. Thanks!

roleplaying status: none
timezone: MST
what kind of player am I? laid back. In terms of how often do I play, usually 1-2 hrs on weeknights and as much time as possible on the weekends (2-4 hrs Fri-Sun)
why a kinship would want me or why I would be beneficial: I am easy going and just looking to have fun. I am always willing to help out and contribute when I can.
race and class: elf champ
in game voice: no problem, I use mine all the time
best way to contact me: in-game

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Age: 37
Timezone: EST (i play evenings and weekends )
Playstyle: Medium Rp+ depending on company. I am flexible and enjoy the lore as much as the gameplay. I am a crafting junkie and have 5 characters for that purpose. I spend a few hours online each day, but i have a job and 4 kids so any sort of regimented play schedule like a hardcore raid guild is right out. I have played MMOs since the days of UO and
Characters: My main is a Level 29 Champion/Explorer named Bertelby. though i have a 13 Hobbit Burglar/Tinkerer, a 13 Man Captain,Armsman, a 18 Man Guardian/Armorer, and a 21 Elf Hunter/Woodsman
What i am looking for: I am looking for a medium to large group of mature folks who play the game to relax and have fun. I enjoy dramatic roleplay but i hate drama. I avoid those who do not take the setting seriously and dislike "1337ness"
Please contact me in game. Thanks, Bertelby.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Name: Syndri
Race: Dwarf
Class: Guardian
Level: 22
Roleplaying status: Medium-Heavy
Kind of player: Middle
New to LotRO, but been playing MMO's for years. I've been pleasantly suprised by the awesome level of RP on this server. I've had quite a few very fun RP sessions just through pick-up groups and randomly running into folks. I'd like to get established with an active RP kinship so that I can make friends to RP with on an on-going basis.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Found a kinship, thank you!
Name: I'd rather not give this out on the forums, as I’d preferred to be contacted via PM.
Level: 36
Race/gender: Elfmaiden
Class: Minstrel
Profession: Explorer
RP: light to heavy (depending on my mood and the situation)
Playstyle: Usually solo (avoiding PUGs). Depending on how much time I have, but usually laid back to moderate.
Schedule: Playtime = 2-4 hours on weeknights, more on weekends.
MMO experience: Anarchy Online, Lineage II, SWG
Guild/kinship experience: part of core guild "admin" for each that I joined (3 total). I am very burned out when it comes to that, and am not looking to “move on up” within a kinship, though I’m happy to help with non-admin things like fundraising and events.
For starters, I am primarily a solo player. I’m seeking a kindship since a friend of mine, who I usually game with, has started working night shifts and I’m finding myself very bored and a bit lonely.
Raids and PvP: no where near numero uno in my list of priorities. But I like having the option available should I choose.
RP: extremely important; I prefer moderate to heavy RP though sometimes I don’t RP at all (ex: while on a mission or raid). I can’t always recite names and dates, since I’d call my Tolkien knowledge general-to-intermediate. But I’ve read the books and familiar enough with the world where I can RP inside the boundaries of the lore. I don’t speak fluent elvish, but I know a few phrases to get by- just haven’t had the opportunity to use them!
While I don’t put too much emphasis on how many members a kin has, I’d prefer one that is:
-Medium to large
-Comfortably established, been around for a while
-Mature, older players with lives outside of the game
-Stable leadership in control of the drama, and wise about recruitment
-Has opportunity for RP but doesn’t make you do it all the time
-Members are experienced enough to know what the role of a healer is when grouped (ex: never ask a minstrel to tank)
I am 100% self sufficient, my horse and home were paid for at level 22; I know how to make my own money and gear. If you are looking for a member that WON’T be a stone around the Kin’s neck, that would be me. In general I get along with almost everyone and helpful to nice people who ask for assistance. I’m not quick to anger, though I do have my limits.
If you think I may be a good fit for your Kin, send me a PM!
-Cheers!

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Hi, I am new to this server but not to the game. I had a level 40+ Human Champion on another server about 6 months ago and some issues came up that prevented me from playing it. After that I chose to start a new Minstrel instead. Right now I am only level 17 but I try to make time to gain at least two levels a day (mostly grinding mobs that drop Medium Hides to advance my tailoring or grinding out deeds). I am looking for a kinship mainly just to have people to chat with while I level and grind mobs. I don't have a lot of experience with the endgame of this game but I have played WoW endgame (3 level 70s one of which in T5 gear).
Character: Meriogrim
Level: 17 as of 3/12/08
Race: Hobbit
Gender: Male (both character and in real life)
Vocation: Explorer
RP: I have no RP experience but I would like to learn how to (that is why I chose this server)
Play style: I mostly grind solo but I also do quests that seem to have good quest rewards.
Schedule: Depends on the day but generally between 3pm-6am EST
Age: 22

Hi,
Explorerers of Middle Earth is an adult kinship with players of all levels and play styles. We are a small but growing established kinship, kinship lifespan 8. We try to support and help one another in any way we can including crafting and help with quests whenever we can. Your hours are about the same as ours as we have working people from the east coast to the central and mountain time zones.
If you are interested please send a mail or a tell to Brinwen, Ksandra, Shadewyn, Sinphor, McKay,Alsbet, Moirain, or Mythica in game or leave me a note here to schedule a time to meet in game. :)
Happy gaming whereever you end up finding a home in game.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Hi, my name is Honeydrop and at present Im a level 16 Hobbit Ranger. I enjoy all levels of role play but would prefer a kinship that is heavy role playing. I work alot and don't spend hours on end running about the shire. Im fun loving and easy to get along with and always willing to help out with anything I'm able to.
Outside of the game I am an adult working professional. I dont play just to grind. I enjoy crafting, questing, and fellowships. I just like to relax, unwind, and have fun. Please contact me ingame with Kin info. Hanging out here on the forums is less time I actually get to be in the game.
Thanks,
Honeydrop

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Looking for a new kinship (old one basically dissolved due to no-one playing anymore)
My playing habits are... somewhat sporadic,
About my characters
Level 50 Hobbit Minstral
Level 32 Elf Hunter
Couple of lower level characters
Hobbit is almost completely proficient tailor (working on last tier now), finished final tier of both of the gathering skills (forester and um, the other one)
Elf is almost completely proficient woodworker (again, working on last tier now)
What I'm looking for, preferably a reasonable sized casual guild (my schedule generally doesn't allow for that regular on-line time) that would hopefully allow me to do some more of the high level (50) content that requires guild/friendships without being in a group with 5 gold farmers.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
"Stats":
RL age: 32
Characters: Like most RPers, I'm an altoholic. 2 current focus characters:
Talah, 12 Hobbit Burglar
Cordir, 20 Elf Hunter
( I'm also fiddling with a Man LM and (Wo)Man Captain )
(Reposted from below)
I'm fairly new to the game. I played a bit in beta, but didn't get into it at the time. Now, however, I've become hooked quickly. After having gone through my adjustment phase, I now find myself at the point where I am with every MMO I've played: Time to start feeling out the RP. Ideally, I'd like to find what I found in my first MMO (EQ): A strong RP guild with its own story lines independent of the storylines being fed to us by the game itself. That's not to say ignoring lore, but one that forms its own lore within the world and its lore. The EQ guilds I was in ( Wind Riders and Shadow Striders on Tunare if any EQ vets are lurking. They're now Windrunner Trading Company and Bloodthorn on AB in EQ2 ) had this. They created their own stories rather than relying on the devs/game to give them to them.
I'm not looking for heavy PvP focus (In fact, I'll probably never touch the Freep/Creep stuff). Raiding is something I might have a casual interest in, but that's it. My main concern is quality RP and a fair level of activity. Perusing the list stickied hasn't really been enough to give me a good feel if what I'm looking for is out there. I'm not looking for hardcore, no OOC at all, RP n***s, of course. Taking it TOO seriously can be bad.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
In-game Name: Namondur
Class, Level, Race: Lore Master, 10, Man
RP: None to Light; Lore intensive
I played LoTRO in the open beta and for the first couple of months of retail, but had to stop when I left for boot camp, MCT, and MOS school (active duty in the Marine Corps). I was on the Meneldor server, and got a Hunter to 37, but now that I have time to play again, I've found that Meneldor isn't much to my liking, so I decided to start fresh here on Landroval. I've been playing MMORPGs since Asheron's Call was released (eight years or so I guess), with experience in at least 10 different games in the genre. I'm not really into heavy RP, however I've been obsessed with Tolkien's works since the fifth grade. I read The LoTR, The Hobbit, and The Silmarillion once a year (except for this last one), I'm working on reading The HoME, and I'm trying to find copies of Letters and The Children of Hurin. A kinship that had members well versed in the history of the world would be a definite plus for me. My schedule can sometimes cause me to be gone for several weeks (one such event is coming up in the next week or two, will be gone 2 to 4 weeks probably), but when its more normal, I'll usually be around every day.
Aside from the lore bit mentioned above (which isn't really important), I'm just looking for an established, active kinship that is in it for the fun. I'm a firm believer in keeping a game a game, instead of turning it into Job 2.0. Raids, PvMP, RP, and all of that is fine with me, as long as it isn't a forced requirement. I may still be a lowbie here, but I am a capable player, so I won't be trying to get anyone to hold my hand all the way to 50. Basically, I'm just looking for a group of folks I can come to call friends and enjoy the game with.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Name: Dravenmoth
Race: Elf
Class: Hunter
Level: 16
Roleplaying: Medium/Heavy. Though, I will adapt to a kinship.
I'm looking for a more mature kinship. Light-hearted fun though is definately welcome. I want to get into a kinship that at least keeps communications up. I play a lot though I'm not embarassed to admit that. I know Middle Earth at a decent level, meaning the histories, stories, and so on. I can be reached here through a pm, and ingame through tell or mail. If you want any more information please feel free to ask.

Hello
Name: Brinstyth
Level/class: (atm) 10, Champion
Roleplay: none to moderate(I'm a part-time rp'er :D)
I love working with others, running quests with people just to help them out is one of my favorite ways to enjoy the game. I love love love exploring the game, running around and finding little nooks in the world, neat mobs, and interesting and funny npc's. when I'm not grouping or rp'ing I'm usually quest grinding, one: to experience as much storyline as possible, I love reading lotr lore, and two: because the higher my level the more helpful i can be :D.
Feel free to hit me up, i usually play evenings into early morning :D.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Hello.
I'm new to LOTRO, but I'm not new to RP ( although I am new to LOTRO RP :P ). I'd like to find a good strong heavy RP kinship to show me how things are done in LOTRO. I pick things up fast, and I'm already studying into LOTR lore and background information for each race. I don't have a character story set up right now for my character, but only because I don't really have enough information to create one that's realistic to where I want his RP to go.
I think finding a good kinship for this would be nice, because I've yet to make strong friendships through this game and I know how beneficial it is. I would also like to "learn from the best" and see how Landroval runs it's RP, because I know that every kinship's RP is different - so I'd like to find one of those "top kinships" for RP.
Name: Ger
Race: Human
Level: 6
Bree-lander, currently in Archet and making his way towards Bree-town.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
I'm looking for a Kinship on Landroval. I've been on the game for a little while, but haven't been able to spend a lot of time playing until recently. I have a Lvl 18 hunter and I'm looking for a group that is into both casual and serious play. I can be reached at ka1iban@aol.com or here. Thanks!

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Hi all. I've recently picked up the game and am currently a level 23 Guardian. I've really enjoyed the game world and overall atmosphere so far, but one of the biggest problems is finding questing or instancing partners. I'm currently in a kinship, but it's very small, and I rarely can quest with kinmates and have yet to assemble a Great Barrows run with them. While they're by and large great folks, I'd like my time in LOTRO to be a bit more social than the occasional witty banter in kinship chat, and I'd love the chance to easily, regularly find people to play with.
I'm looking for a kinship that is large enough to regularly have people at many levels looking for partners. I'd also like one that is focused primarily on assembling like-minded folks making their way through the levels; I'm not terribly interested in roleplaying, and picked Landroval as I hoped it would have an intelligent, mature playerbase (which, outliers aside, has by and large played out). I have extensive (*extensive*) tanking experience in WoW, liked the role enough to pick Guardian here, and plan to keep at it as I get to 50 and start raiding.
If you'd like to reach me, the best way would be a forum PM or an ingame mail (Kethas).
Thanks for your time. -K

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Mae govannen, Landrovians!
My huntress Laurelinde, a level 22 elven huntress, and my partner Lokelindas, a 22 elven Loremaster, are seeking a kinship to call home. While we were doing our trial period, we were particularly impressed by the maturity and helpfulness of the Landroval community and have settled down to stay. We both have lengthy MMO histories dating back to DaoC, Lineage 2, and WoW, so while we are new to the game, we're fairly comfortable with the game and our class roles.
In terms of our roleplay, we both roleplayed heavily years ago, but fell away from it due to the environments of our last few MMOs. LOTRO and particularly Landroval seems to be a nice environment to try to begin again. I'd say we're fairly laid back light/medium to medium roleplayers, trying to stay in character, though we can slip out of it if we're just joking around ooc, or if PVE situations call for a more expedited communication. We don't use voice communication often unfortunately because Lokelindas' connection to the server can be very flaky at times, with extended lag spikes. We're not Tolkien buffs by a long shot, but we're familiar with his world.
We're both self sufficient as well when it comes to resources, so we won't be a financial burden on the kinship. Mostly what we're looking for in a kinship is a group of friends to enjoy LOTRO with. As cliche as it sounds, its really true! We play almost daily, around 8pm to 12ish PST. Kinship size isn't that important to us, as long as there's a decent number of people that play the same time as we can. Likewise, roleplay is a *HUGE* plus, but won't keep us from a truly fantastic kinship. The best way to contact us is to pm me on the forums. Hope to here from you great folks soon!
Till then,
Aa' menealle nauva calen ar' malta

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Greetings citizens of Middle-Earth. My name is Felador, son of Relador of Gondor, and I am a 15th Guardian, quickly rising up. I am looking for a kinship who are close, RPs, and gets together every once in awhile. I used to play LoTRO back in closed beta, I left for many months and saw the recent changes to Guardians and the talk about the expansion, and that was enough to pull me back in. I am a college student and I work part time, but trust me, I will be on almost every night (depending on how much homework I have been burdened with).
I hope to hear from someone! Thank you.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Hi there! I am Warsus a Hobbit-Guardian of the 19th level! I am seeking a place to call home.
A bit about me. I was originally in LOTRO during beta and for the first few months of release on the Gladden server. I leveled a Minstrel to 33 and then just hit a wall where I didnt feel like logging on anymore. After watching LOTRO continue to grow, add depth, improve gameplay, modifiy some of the classes I finally returned a few weeks ago. I have a lifetime account so returning was pretty easy
I have been an active MMO player since the day EQ1 was released and was a rather well known Minstrel named Wispas on the Innoruuk server for several years. I also maintain an active EVE account and am a fleet commander in one of the major roleplay Alliances.
In RL I am 35, with 4 kids, I live on the East Coast USA. I play regularly M-Sunday starting somewhere between 8 and 9:30pm and finishing around Midnight.
I enjoy light to moderate roleplay and most of all enjoy grouping, dungeon crawls and instance runs. I derive my least amount of enjoyment from solo grinding. I am looking for a mature/family friendly group of folks who enjoy questing together, dungeon-instance runs and round it all off with a bit of roleplay/events/immersion.
Any assistance navigating the awesome Kinships we have here on Landroval would be greatly appreciated.
All the best!
Warsus
Hobbit-Sherriff of the Shire
19th level.
