What am I looking for in a kinship?
I am looking for a lore orientated kinship, obviously an roleplay kinship with a social community (which i also find rather important actually.) so in short I am looking for a friendly lore orientated kinship which is rather active, i do not mind if a kinship is big or small and as long as the guild fits my character =)

About the character:
The character I am talking about is one of the oldest characters I have on the laurelin server. She is an elf loremaster who has lost her eyesight and her memory and she is trying to find out what happened to her. Other than that you can find out through rp OR read her old bio (which still not saying much...HAH!)

About the player:
I have at least 10 years of roleplaying experience with different MMO'S varying from Neverwinter Nights, Rift, Neverwinter, Guildwars1&2, star wars the old republic and some others of which I totally forgot their name of. =)
I have read basically all the tolkiens books and if i have not read one than it is on the list ;).
So to say the least I am a very cheery and social player, sometimes I can be quiet and sometimes i can talk your ears off. I am considering myself a sort of a rp addict, i am always willing to roleplay and develop my character further or other characters :)

I have returned after 2 years and originally started playing in 2010. I play on Nimrodel server during pacific standard time zone. I originally was with Guardians of the Veiled Rose and really enjoyed playing with the members, when I left I dropped the kinship as I could no longer be of service to other kin members. I have a lvl 82 Elf Hunter who is a weapon smith, who has yet level up to the last tier. I have been trying to catch up on quests, and leveling my player. I have some experience in raids as I did quite a few with GVR. Looking for a laid back but structured group who helps others who need help progressing in middle earth.

What do you offer kinship?: I bring allot of exp to a Kinship in group dynamic game- play, aside from my tactical/skill based contributory attributes i also have a quick wit coupled with a laid-back demeanor. In-short i work hard for the team and i take joy in commiserating and in a kinship where group game-play is promontory it helps to have the sagely smart @55 to keep it light and successful. I have been in guild leadership before and am acquainted with the communication needed to mediate adverse terminological perception scenarios.

Your name, or character name and race: Hello, my name is Zeyta from the Windfola server. I started playing a Minstrel in April this year...I'm very new to the game. I am level 95 and my current Kinship is full of very nice and helpful people but I do not believe it is where I really belong.

Location: Usual play times are on the weekends but I'm free wed-fri evenings and pretty much all the time on the weekends. The only two days you wouldn't see me on are usually Monday and Tuesday.

Playstyle: I like to solo when I quest but at the end of the rainbow I want to raid and do challenging instances. As I said before though, I'm not an experienced raider, but I used to be addicted to WoW so I have a little insight on how to listen, bring consumables, be reliable and learn :) I dont RP.

MMO games you’ve played: Again, I used to be a WoW addict. I played for 4 years, starting off in a very casual guild for about a year. Although I was very hesitant, I left the only home I new and joined a very hardcore, 6 raid nights a week, guild. I was hooked for a year at that pace and eventually it got to me so we formed a small guild and started from the ground up. This is the longest section of my post haha...I can't help it, I'm passionate sometimes and I wanna be that for this game, I know its just all in finding the right home. So for 2 years I put my heart into this new guild my friends and I created. I loved every minute :) We pulled ourselves through enormous challenges but never gave up and because of that, to make a long story short, we saw endgame.

Guess I'm gonna have to go with my passion for MMOs again. I want that feeling of conquering something with a group of friends. It's so much more fun and interesting to be yourself and accept everyone for their own unique personalities. Whether it be the guy with all the crude, yet funny, jokes. Or the guy whose messages would go unseen if you had profanity filter on. But in this guild, in the guild I'm looking for, no one uses profanity filter...because we're gamers and gamers curse, joke, and trash talk (with love). I like to play solo sometimes and sometimes i like to play in groups. Lately i been looking to play with others for skirms, instances, and fellowship quest to make the game more enjoyable.

My son and I are looking for a Kinship on Brandywine. I'm 49, he's 21.

My toon is an 75th lvl Elven Loremaster (Findorlis) and his is a 75th Human Champion (Dafus). We also have a few alts 20-50 that we use primarily for crafting, as we're covering all crafts between us.
As mentioned above, we're on Brandywine. He's in law school, I work for a large semi-conductor manufacturer, and we're in PST, so evenings and weekends are best.

We're almost exclusively PvE, very little PvP, and pretty hard-core when it comes to levelling, but not in most other places. For example, we enjoy grinding at PvE to level but aren't about hardcore instances or raids. We'd like to experience them, but loot is not terribly important, we just enjoy exploring :)

I started LOTRO in the alpha, played for a few months after release, then left. I've played over 36 different MMO's in some form or another, they're the type of game I prefer playing, so if it's an MMO, I've likely played it in some form or another.

Why choose us? We're solid, experienced, reliable, and fiercely independent. We've put in 125 lvls of play as a duo without a kinship. If we run into a problem, we rarely ask for help, we bash our brains against it until we beat it, or we wiki it :) We don't ask for handouts and we're always eager to help others. So why are we looking for a kinship? As we go higher, we're finding more and more content that we can't duo, and we want to see it. My assumption is, if we're in a kinship, watching the kinship channel, when folks call for help with an instance, we can volunteer and join in. That way, we might even snag spots in raids, now and again.

What are we looking for? Adult (not necessarily mature), responsible, casual, *ACTIVE*, friendly, not terribly competitive or full of itself (LOTRO is a game, not a company, and it's 6 years old so the time for intense/world-first gungho drive should be well past). I'm not looking to add Barren's Chat to my chat tabs, I don't need to hear how awesome Chuck Norris is, etc :) I'm an old man who is enjoying LOTRO with his son and looking for other folks to enjoy it with as well :)

Been with the game (LoTRO) for quite some time, 2010. Have 9 toons, all of the 9 different class so as to gain knowledge on how other classes works, 2 85s, 3 63-65, the rest are still lowbies. Got already fair knowledge of the game/play and lore. I'm a tolkien fan aswell. Also takes the time to gather all resources that Middle-Earth can give and loves crafting. Got all crafters spreaded to 9 toons, well 6, 3 are gathers to specific craft. Got all expansions unlocked, VIP/Premium, premium at heart-I go VIP to unlock next tier of crafting guild (much cheaper I believe, since I got 6 active crafting toons), all map packs bought and unlocked.
I like to help kin members as long as they are not the sort of kin-jumpers/ninjas or kin-leads proved them loyal, as for me I'm loyal as long as the people in the kin aren't jerks. ;) Lastly, I'm a casual gamer so gametime is spreaded but more or less I still can play everyday just not 24/7.

Been with 3 US Kinships: 2 Just went dead, I'm currently in another 1 and its dying again...and the common problem is that noone is active either on my timezone or or their timezone. Almost the same as playing solo.

So what I'm looking for is an active kinship either an english speaking Asian kinship or any multi-national kinship with enough people playing on different timezone. Ofc, I also like fun, cool and without any drama kinships.

From my own judgement, I'm an able player, always trying to help others out and open to discussions regarding my own improvement. A MMO-veteran so to speak, experienced and played almost everything of importance, familiar with good and bad mechanics and game design in MMOs. Did pretty much everything, tanking, healing, Dpsing, high rated PvP, progress raiding. But now settling down to enjoy (hopefully) good PvE content and story, with people I like to play with, in a game whose universe I care about.

Pretty much any type, as long as you know what you are doing. I don't have THAT much time to play, but I don't want pure casuals. I don't mind them of course, but when I found something I like, I'm pretty comitted and expect some level of competence, but I'm also not too hardcore, those times are gone for me.

I am coming from Silverlode where I had 5 level 75's
now I have some higher then that

I am looking to play on a different server because my old kin is in stasis with most members hardly playing
I enjoy raiding, and playing in groups. I love being a Minnie but currently have not started one on the Evernight
server.
I am on the West Coast and one of the issues I have had in the past was most of my Kin was east coast, so I would
like a kin that was mainly west coast.....too!
Why would a kin want me? Because I am a good healer in a group, and a helpful kin member

I am 44 and live in the west coast of the USA. I started in LOTR in closed beta and played for years. I was part of a kin then but that was a long time ago. I was off for a while due to RL. I have been back on and worked my character (which was maxed out at lvl 65) so far I am lvl 80. Lots has changed. I am learning everything knew. I am not even sure what is the best armour and I have finished lots of the epics books but I have some to do that I need groups and even raids. I was in an amazing kin on Windfola (I do miss the Wayfarers) for years that did it just right. We were all friendly and familiar and while there was plenty of chat going on, they were serious players who were all very selfless. LotRO is a game I came back to again after a long absence... last time I played Moria was just released and my gear was laden with Brilliance or whatever it was called, which seems to have been removed altogether. So this means I will on occasion ask incredibly dumb questions :-).

I do not normally tank, so I have picked the red trait tree, and am following more down the DPS path.

I do enjoy almost all aspects of the game, questing, exploring in general, crafting, BB's, Skirmishes. . .I have not been exposed to dungeons or raids yet, but would welcome the opportunity. What do you offer kinships?: Been playing MMORPGs for a decade, I am always legitimately happy and willing to take time to help lower level players advance. I'm pretty laid back. I'm often equally satisfied burning through some slayer tasks with a couple kinmates or a marathon of isengard runs, etc. As a support player/offtank I'm very good at developing a chemistry with kinmates to streamline otherwise difficult tasks into something easy. An RK and I in my last Kin worked so well together we could do the 3 man runs with just us two and finish as quickly or faster than with an additional person. Overall, my policy is always that the Kin comes first, and whenever I have the chance to marginally improve my own character or do something that will more significantly improve the Kin as a whole, I'll always pick the latter.

What kind of kinship you are looking for. : A laid back, friendly kin that is ACTIVE. This server seems dead often, so really my only requirements are:
A. Good sense of humor, low stress/tension/drama environment, friendly and welcoming
B. Active. Too often I end up in Kins where there will only be an average of 2-4 other kinmates on at any given time ranging in levels from 20-60, which isn't really conducive to anyone helping anyone else towards their goals. I like raids and stuff, but they're not even remotely essential

Kidding aside, because they want to, im not a competitive kind of guy but i like to do things as best as possible. I don't mind helping peeps lvl up or gear up if they are needed to do so for especific tasks and i like to craft things for others (ATM im just one tier off capping weaponsmith and prospector again, im almost at cap with my guild and have mats stockep up for crafting LI's). Over all, my play is to get others get better so things get done better.

As i said, i like to help. But i think it's really frustrating to be helpful if peeps that are in a better position than you don't do it also. I generally like Kins that set goals as could be a weekend RAID and help each other out during the weekdays to get in shape for it, get mats, craft items, lvl up, get marks and gear up so the goal is more easily achieved. I think what i want from a Kin is a place where thing are done collectively.
I dislike loot hoarders, peeps that go on their own when they could be helping others or achieving their personal goals in a group faster and then using the extra time to help out and i really hate standing arround doing nothing.

BTW i have teamspeak and the means to communicate online (mics) but my spoken english is a bit rusty, so if there's a Latin American Kin it would be my first choice.
My internet connection is pretty good (i get below 20 m/s in local servers), although im getting about 100 m/s in dwarrowdelf. Im going to look into it and maybe can get it lower but it's a thin chance because of the location of the servers.

I know many instances well enough to "teach" them, and almost all of the rest well enough to not mess a group up. I mostly play a healing RK but dabble in all the classes and work to know my class well. I like to help people, particularly by answering questions or explaining things, and I believe most people I know would agree that I can get along with just about anyone.
What kind of kinship you are looking for: Grouping is one of the most important aspects of the game to me, but all runs and at all levels, not just end-game. I am particularly hoping to find a kinship that focuses on learning and enjoying group content at all levels and does NOT act like reaching end-game is the only goal in the game (although I understand some people/members may prefer that for themselves). I'm a former subscriber, was around a bit before the game changed over to F2P. I've been gone a few years, planning on returning again and will most likely resub. I mostly do PvE and crafting, not into PvP and I've only done limited group quests. I play mostly in the late afternoons and evenings, I'd say 3pm-5am PST are the average times I log in to games.

Right now my priority is to get in with an experienced group that would be able to pretty much reintroduce me to the game, cover any important changes that I've missed and the new features, basically help me re-learn the game. I'm not asking for someone to hold my hand the whole way, just be able to provide answers to some questions and help me get back on my feet. Being gone 3-5 years has left me with character inventories and vaults full of items I don't remember what they are for, crafting skills that I can't recall certain factors, etc. I'm sitting there staring at my character not knowing what's what. I do remember little things here and there, but not enough to be comfortable with going out and playing on my own.

I do have a mic/headset that I rarely use, as well as the TS/Skype/Vent/Xfire/etc chat programs available if voice comms are recommended. I'm an experienced adult MMO gamer, and I can relearn things pretty fast, so I don't expect to have people "babysitting" me. I have no problem helping where I can such as joining in with group quests, and I have fairly high crafting levels if it proves useful to the group.

I'm told that Riddermark is a fairly unpopulated server, or at least most there are 50+ and running later instances. But if any kinships that are active wouldn't mind opening their doors for a "old-school noob", I'd appreciate it. Feel free to PM me if you have an opening available.

I'm still very interested in grouping; seems like many people are burned out on instances since they've "done them for years now". As a west coast player that's not at all true for me, since groups are so painfully rare at the times I play. At this point I've seen all but one of the instances I own (never done OD-Ivar/Gortheron, and never bought the Erebor cluster), but there are quite a few that I've only done once (BG, OD-Disease/Poison, LT, SS, DDG, Fornost-Shadow; also ToO when/if that gets scaled and becomes relevant again) and/or only done while greatly over-levelled (OD-Disease/Poison, Fornost-Earth/Fire, Helegrod-Drake/Spider). And there are even more instances that I've only done a small number of times and would be happy to do more, across many different characters. :)

Other than that, I'm an experienced player with maxed out characters who have been at cap since 65 or 75, depending on the character. Happy to help kinmates with crafting or grouping if asked. I'm an officer in one of my kinships though I don't really play much on that server these days.

I've been looking for a way to find groups at the times I play for almost three years now, with little success. So far, my transfer of my main to Brandywine has been the best I can do - it's the largest US server, occasionally there's a PUG in glff, and (AFAIK) I've joined the best kin on the server. So sometimes I can group as often as twice a week, though that's dwindling to more like once a week or less lately. Which is fairly decent by west coast standards, though from what one sees on the forums apparently that's just terrible by European standards. :)

I'm throwing this post up on the off chance that there might be better options out there. I know Landroval is not too far behind Brandywine in size, particularly when one restricts the count to just level 95 characters. Are there kins there who are active at US west coast hours (say 8pm-midnight Pacific aka 11pm-3am Eastern/servertime on week nights) or on weekends? Is there some large concentration of west coast players on one of the other servers? I know for certain that Arkenstone does not; pretty sure Vilya doesn't either. Those were my original servers, and I have a champ, warden, and captain looking to transfer to a better place at some point. Possibly to join my burglar on Brandywine, possibly to spread to Landroval or some other server.

Aside from "active grouping at times I actually play, instead of in the afternoon/early evening like all the east coast players prefer" :), I'm looking for what I'd term a "serious casual" kin. I've interacted with some hardcore raiders over the years and have generally not been impressed with them at all. Plus I gather there aren't any left in LOTRO anyway. But I would like to see BG again, and do all of OD on level, Helegrod wings on level, do skirmish raids more often than once in a blue moon, do a variety of 6-mans reasonably often (*not* just Sambrog/OE that were done to death at 85), etc.

I'm well aware that the ideal kinship I'm looking for probably doesn't exist anymore, if it ever existed at all. But it doesn't hurt to ask! :)

I am currently looking for an active pve/pvp kin on brandywine. There are many options out there so i thought i would begin on the forums first to give a little information about myself. I currently run four 95's, an LM, a Runekeeper, a burg and a mini. I have played Lotro since the beginning of RoI and i know that is not very long for a lot of people out there who have been with this game for many years but this is a game i have come to love solely for the community it offers :). I am an extremely active player i spend most of my time in game although my peak playing hours are 12 pm central us time zone until around 1-3 am in the morning. With my college classes ending in the middle of April my playtime will be almost doubled in what i can do. I do not mind leading 3-12 man runs or even assisting lower levels if they need it :). I have every craft guilded, some multiples and don't mind also helping people get their gear. i also tend to abuse kinship auction houses with consumables i over craft at times when i go overboard lol.

My game play style is solo, grouping, pve, pvmp, raids, endgame etc. I can't say i RP or have ever tried it.

What kind of kinship you are looking for: I'm looking for an active Kinship that does Raids; doesn't have to do it regularly, but at least once in awhile. I can solo most of the game, but I really enjoy being in a group and raiding. I find the best storylines to be the Prologues and Raid storylines. It is also important to me for a kinship to be active in voice chat. My experience is that voice chat helps bring guildies/kins closer together.

I've been RPing on tabletop and online for years and know the distinction between myself and my character. I don't cause drama, and I specifically came to Landy to 1) RP and 2) experience being a kin member in a larger kin. But Alphriel is about two months old and she's leveling pretty fast, so it's not just about RP.
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters): well established, medium to large population. No drama-it just spoils the fun for everyone. I would prefer an all-races kin, but would consider human only. I'm not interested in being a brigand or anything of the like. Alphriel does do a fair amount of trading on the Auction House. I really want a kin where RP is important-if not for everyone, then for a subset within the kin. I want to be able to log in and lose myself in Middle-earth.

I've got some master tier crafters; Tailor, Jeweler, Weaponsmith, Metalsmith, and Woodworker and I enjoy helping out others when I can.

I like raiding sometimes but that's not all I want to do, I like the rest of the game more than raiding so I'd like to be in a kinship where that's ok. I don't like to type... so I'd prefer a kinship that actively uses voice chat. Other than the size and play style I'm really not picky, I just don't want to be in a kinship that's so large that I get lost in the crowd. I think Landroval would be a good server for you then, it is the US roleplaying server and I think it will fit your style pretty well.
I dont know the kins on Landy because I play on Withywindle, but if no one replies to you here, you can look at peoples kins that you see on your server, send someone whos kin you see around a lot, send the a tell and try their kin out. If that one doesnt work, try another.

Hello all!

Synestr here, thinking of taking on the daunting task of re-entering the fight against Sauron. It has been... a while since I have set foot in middle earth and am at a loss as to where I should pick up. From what I can remember when I left 85 was the lvl cap of my Guard, I was working my burg, 77, and Champ., 63.

I believe I read somewhere that the new cap is 95. So I would get to go that route in terms of xp.

So where to start? Is it worth it to come back? Am I too far behind? What content would I need? I am a premium player and have TP stored up still. Last thing I remember "purchasing" was Rohan and a few quest packs. When I left I had access to pretty much everything up to Rohan.

I was a pretty avid Kin, fellowship, raid participant. PVP wasn't my thing so have no interest there.

Is Riddermark still pretty active? Upon my return I would be looking for a home, hopefully with some old friends if they are still around.

I've had a blast running the Rift and other level 50 content with Raiders of the Lost Content on Elendilmir. Are there other kins out there that do the same thing - level to 50, equip the xp disabler, and run all the SoA group instances?

Hello all. My IGN is Shyfled and I pay on Landroval. I am a level 33 Mini. I plan to get to end game as soon as my hand heals. It may take a bit but I do plan on taking part in end game raids. Right now I have 2nd degree burns on my right hand making it hard to really do any hardcore grinding.

So what I am looking for in a kinship. I am looking for a RP heavy Kinship with an ongoing storyline. By that I mean a kinship that has a history in the world and an IC reason to be together rather then "we are all friends." Such as it is a war party. Or it is the law enforcement of a set town. Or maybe it is smugglers. What ever it may be.

I would also like the kin I join to have good RP with other kinships. Rather they be enemies, friends, or maybe a little of both. I like when There is interaction with other groups. And an ongoing story with them.
