Yep...
Him: Are you coming to bed tonight?
Me: Almost done with this instance.
Him: See you in the morning then.
Luckily he also plays...just not as much as I do!

ROFL! Yes there is pics :D On my myspace :p
I agree it is much easier to have your bf/gf/husband/wife play as well :) Nongamers just dont get it :p I remember may times raiding and thinking im going to go to bed soon... and then soon... and soon again... never happens. I end up staying up all night! Love it though!
A network security engineer has a cure for this - apply access times to the router where it shuts off the Internet access at around 9 or 10 PM.
His\her spouse
"Honey my game is not working."
The network security engineer spouse -
"Ok, I will be right there."
"You're right dear, the Internet is down! What a bummer!"
"I will call the ISP in the morning."
Wait a few minutes and start the romance - SCORE!. Then at 6 or 7 am, the router lifts the Internet block and everything is back to normal. Now remember not to have it on the same day... ;)
Hey! I already banned you once today Mister. Don't be giving anyone ideas/tips on network lock-outs!
:p
Shoot I am already on the no heal list - might as well go to the end.
You know Warg power... :)
By the way, Cisco Linksys has this functionality and well if you are running a Cisco router, time-based access-control lists... ;)
There are times when I'm glad I don't have a significant other....like during Friday Night Aussie Drunken Raids in the moors! I don't know how tolerant a non-player would be of the type of giggles we get up to lol
My mother tried to get me to sign up to an online dating service.....I wrote out a profile, handed it to her and told her I would do it but this is what I was saying. It included quite a list of "I am a gamer...deal....I don't expect you to understand but if you interfer your out" type comments. My mother was horrified...and dropped the whole subject :D
I completely agree. I've been trying to get my bf to start playing as he doesn't realize just how addictive it is...
I came to lotro, being a fan of Tolkien, and also fleeing the sexist preteen boys of xbox live. You have no idea how many times someone will kick you off their team on Halo or Gears just because you are female (Not to mention the foul name they would call you!). I'm very happy with the maturity of the community and the fact most guys find it cool to be grouping with a chick. ;)
As an interesting side note, It's estimated that 1 out of every 2 female toons you meet in game is actually a male player. 1 out of 8 male toons are female players. (This was based on a study about a year ago, so it may have changed a bit since then.)
I Iz man....
UGG
the end
we need more girly posts :D
*giggles*
*rp* So yesterday I was keeping everyone alive while they killed this ugly orcish fellow and picked up this silly hat that I put on to see if it fit...well, this totally strong and ruggedly handsome dwarf in our group said I looked cute in it so now I won't take it off... *rp off*
That better?
now if I could just figure out how to get abc files to process properly from my dumb satellite internet connection, hehe. Actually, I was able to play them fine until...I think the Moria expansion was when nice pretty Shire theme became a random jumbled mess if I try to play it.
*hands out cake and skips away*

Renali hates my posts!
Another girl gamer here :D I don't mind hanging with the guys, but I always get excited when I meet another girl gamer. I think the most fun group I've ever been in was comprised of 5 females and one very very outnumbered male lol. He was shocked to find out that we actually were female players, not just female avatars.
I may not be a girl gamer but I have two nieces so I'm training a few. I have a few pictures of them so I'll have to post them later
PICS!

here they are in my room playing Halo 3
Not a girl here, but had to chime in and say that in many games, it is usually the girl gamers that are either the most skilled or coolest to play with. I am not an RPG gamer and lean more towards shooters, GTA, etc. This game lured me in because I am a huge fan of Tolkien's legendarium and this game lets me experience all the awesome stuff I've read about and/or seen in the films. I have gotten stomped in ways I can't fully describe in games such as Unreal Tournament and after the game heard a sweet innocent female voice tell everyone "Good game" and now I usually just expect the better gamers to end up being girls because they have skills we only wish we could have. In LOTRO I have grouped with more girls than guys who have been helpful, kind, and skilled with their class even amidst terrible situations where multiple wipes occur and it makes the experience much more enjoyable. To all the girls inhabiting Middle Earth, keep doing your thing, I for one appreciate having players I can depend on in my fellowship ;)
Cheers,
DJ
YAY! Thanks to Ayr and Gild we can add another girl gamer :D
Add another person. I am a girl player as well =D. Allthough I only play male toons. It is kinda funny, because people always think that you are a RL male. Even here on the forums, people assume that I am male.
Be careful what you wish for!
I remember the first time I lead a rift raid with 6 girl gamers in it.... I couldn't stop laughing so hard at the running commentary talking about each other's outfits and showing off each others cosmetics, and I think there was even a dress up game involving the Balrog and with matching suit pants and sweater... I don't think we killed the Balrog but damn it was great! More girl gamerz please!
