My brilliant, brilliant plan for time travel has been foiled. :(

@ OP: I learned a long time ago that those who point out such things just end up being attacked for doing so. I call it SMS. Kind of like a text message... Except that it's "Shoot the Messenger Syndrome." Thus, best to not point out such things, as it doesn't really accomplish anything. To this day, I swear there is someone sitting in those offices going... “Should we release the patch notes George, it's about an hour before the servers are supposed to come back up?” “Nah, let 'em fume Frank, this soap opera on the forums is getting pretty good!” :P Here's what I do: Expect the worst. Hope for the best. Then when you get something less than the worst, it's a pleasant treat instead of a disappointment. See, it just requires a shift of paradigm and perception.. ;) And here it is: http://lorebook.lotro.com/wiki/Update_7.3,_Official
So festival tickets go in the barter wallet now but are they Bound to character or Bound to Account?
Oooooooh, so if I read those notes correctly, I am about to be really, really glad that I moved all those festival tickets over to the toon I wanted them on last night...
Not gonna complain; frankly, I'm surprised that the unbound, easily-tradeable festival tickets lasted half as long as they did. :)
Very welcomed update!
"Race Tokens from the 2011 Summer Festival will now turn into Festival Tickets when placed in your inventory. Festival Tickets are also now bater wallet items. If you have any Race Tokens or Festival Tickets in storage, you will need to place them in to your inventory to have them update properly."
Having around 50 tickets in one character who doesnt need them, I really hope the Festival tickets are now server wide :)
Two thumbs up here because of the changes in apparel dummies. It would be interesting to know how many ppl have actually purchased anything by clicking on those 'mannequins'...
Apparell dimwits renamed to mannequins - why not womannequins, seeing as how it's the fairer sex (except dorf) that go clothes shopping *runs to make all toons anon and hides down a deep dark hole*.
And sparkles removed and AND removed from the more lore inappropriate locations, - thank you for listening devs.
"Festival Tickets are also now barter wallet items."
I hope the Tickets go into the Wallet as Green labeled for Account wide access ...
And one can disagree with certain development and marketing decisions without looking for every single possible nitpicky reason to find fault with anything and everything.
The fact that the festival tickets - y'know, the ones clearly placed in the game as a way to generate TP purchases? - were not bound to character to begin with was CLEARLY unintentional. I'm pretty sure everyone with half a brain figured this out within the first ten seconds of realizing that they were unbound. Accordingly, I'm glad that I had the flexibility this unintentional error gave me for as long as I had it, rather than choosing to be angry that it's being fixed. You... seem to see things differently.
In keeping with the metaphor of poisoned Kool-Aid, I rather think that you are the one choosing to drink it, not me.
Update 7.3 Release Notes - Official
thanks, and Official DE / Official FR one day ?
What happened here I just posted a thread it got put on to page two along with some other posts, mine was a post with a quote form another post that also seems to have just disappeared. Seems really strange but then it is turbine we are dealing with here.
So the most important thing, spelling, has now been corrected in the patchnotes. Can we now get a comment if the Festival Tokens have been made boa please Cel?
No, no, no. The MOST important thing is: Will 7.4 be the update in which Turbine starts providing in-home coffee delivery to players during Monday downtime?????
I cleaned a few posts out of this thread, because they were two users fighting with one another. We don't need that this early in the morning. Everyone's allowed to hold their opinion. So if your post got deleted because the referencing post was removed, I apologize.
Also, I'll check into the Festival Tickets to see if they are BoA or not.
I would pay SO MANY TURBINE POINTS for in-home coffee delivery. SOOOOO MANY.
I really think the marketing folks ought to make this a top priority. ;)
See, this is the thing, there is NO WAY that the tickets being unbound was not a glitch, in other words, something we should never have had in the first place.
It would be nice if they were account-wide - in deference to the fact that, having reaped the benefits of this glitch, everyone and their great-aunt Sally is now going to scream bloody murder over losing it - but no, I am not expecting it, and frankly I don't see it as being "screwed", either. I see it as having received an unexpected bonus of essentially "free" festival tickets for a week's worth of festival time. Like winning a lottery, sorta. Too bad no one else in the known universe is going to see it the same way. :P
