So what is wrong with stiring things up?
There are some of us who are bored as Mordor right now, and have been for quite some time, and some scraps of info about HD would be most welcome.

It wasn't even a troll post did you see that I posted that LOTRO is great. So if you admit that you didn't detect any form of sarcasm then call it a troll post, then admitted say I am lying about Goldenstar and Merric.... are you at fault here? Yeah blame it on me because you are slow, I got it.
Yup, with his previous troll/hate thread I already know this with 100% certainty. It was deleted and now he is back trying to sow more discord. I play lotro since closed beta and never knew who the producers are, or how many times that position has changed hands. No one cares until today apparently.
I'd like to apply for Senior Producer position...
If elected, I will disable the LOTRO store, enable the Shire to be a PVP zone, as well as the forthcoming Helm's Deep region to be PVP zone, and we will have a Raid cluster for Helm's Deep, including a 12 man multiboss raid... not a skirmish.. a REAL RAID, like Rift of nurz ghashu or original Helegrod!
and each pvp zone will be balanced according to Shadows of Angmar times. I will destroy all of the Outposts, and BRING BACK FLAG HOT SPOTS!!!!!!!!! yes. it will be so.
Oh and the hobbits will learn to run the correct way.
I agree with Ellemere on this case that it's a little naive. Senior and Executive producers are the ones that determine the heading of the game, sometimes (and I wish it was more often) give updates on the game and I think all changes about these positions were communicated to us, the players.
I think most of the long-term players who regularly visit and read the forums have read those updates. Saying nobody cares is a lie, since I care and apparently other players reacting in this topic also care
By Durin's Beard I care!
Who (if anyone) steps into this role is a significant indicator for the future of the game - both in terms of direction and longevity.
The longer we go without hearing anything (or knowing why we are not hearing anything) then the more concerned I will be.
I don't much care what <insert new Senior Producer here> says, just what he or she actually does. Rowan wasn't exactly a fountain of information, with a single brief "producer's letter" at the end of last year, half a dozen posts on the forums (total, with none of them of any real substance), and an interview or two with gaming press about Rohan a year ago. None of that was exactly earth-shattering, and frankly, if he hadn't said anything about moving over to DDO in public, I doubt anyone out here would have even noticed for half a year.
I hope they get someone competent to step in, but unless the new person going to behave quite differently, my reaction to it is going to be *shrug*.

Say Aye: Aye.
As for the rest, I just checked the open jobs and I see nothing for a senior producer linked to Lotro. So either they haven't opened it up (yet) or the position has already been filled, but the senior producer hasn't told anyone here.
Does s/he need to? We already know Kate Paize is the Executive producer. What matters is what direction the game is heading. If someone completely new (to the gaming industry) were to fill this job, would this tell you something about the direction the game is headed? I don't think so. I think a word from Kate about the direction will mean much more, but that's just my humble two cents :)
