Moria.
I'd go with Bag End. It's such an iconic place in both 'The Hobbit' and 'The Lord of the Rings'. I'm sure it would be very comfortable, and the pantry well-stocked. The ceiling might be little low, though. *bumps head*
Rivendell would be the first place I would want to visit. There are a lot of nice spots to just sit and enjoy the peaceful scenery.
Thanks for the Three Peaks music, I'm really enjoying it.
Cooking and Partying at the Party Tree, Hobbiton
Tom Bombadil is such an interesting character, and it would be interesting to meet him and enjoy his hospitality. Now if I didn't have to navigate the Old Forest first to get to his house...
The first place I'd visit? Hmm. So many choices! Fangorn Forest, I think, because talking trees.
I would want to start my tour at the Brandywine Bridge, which would put me close enough to see the Old Forest but not risk it's threats. Then I'd make my way west, working my way to Hobbiton.
Where all good stories start.
"So I was having an ale at the Prancing Ponny when ............"
I would like to visit lake Evendim, i love this place.
Adso's Camp of course. It has vendors, a stable master, campfires, and I could get gainful employment to (hopefully) finish building his inn.
It would definately be Erebor! Just imagine seeing the skill of the dwarves irl!!!
Definitely the Golden Hall of Meduseld, the king-hall of my favourite realm in all of middle-earth :D
Probably FOROCHEL ...Because anywhere else you go from there will be Warmer.
25 attack tomes is very generous gift!
I love the scenery and history of Evendim; I would love to wander around there with a Ranger historian/guide. IRL me couldn't handle the fungus-infested darkness of Moria or warg-riding orcs on the plains of Rohan and could never outrun the ever-sprinting corsairs of Gondor (what is with those guys, anyway?). Plus focusing on ancient history will (hopefully) make it easier for me to leave; you did specify just a 'visit', alas. =(
Minas Tirith
If it were RL, I would like to visit Tom Bombadil's house..,...Heigh ho derry-o my hearties!:D
little delving
I'd like to visit Valinor.
I would like to visit Minas Tirith and peer into the distance towards Mordor!!!
Rivendell.
Especially as out of my window, with the exception of an ugly building, I see Wildermore. Complete with falling snow and occasional fur-wrapped orcs walking warg pups on a leash.
The Green Dragon Inn, of course.
I'd start in Hobbiton, at the party tree and slowly eat/drink my way east to Bree :D
I would make a Grand Tour of all of Middle Earth. So much beauty, mystery, and awe to miss out on any of it! Of course, I would start out in Archet :)
