What is the most popular song in Middle-earth?
Ho! Tom Bombadil, Tom Bombadillo!
By water, wood and hill, by the reed and willow,
By fire, sun and moon, harken now and hear us!
Come, Tom Bombadil, for our need is near us!
The most popular song in Middle-earth is "Down, Down to Goblin Town," for obvious reasons...
All the songs have their charms but I love "Thorin's Song of the Lonely Mountain". I will admit I hate the Hobbit films but I do like the "Song of the Lonely Mountain" written by Howard Shore and performed by Neil Finn, which is clearly inspired by Thorin's Song.
I also enjoy the Tom Bombadil songs and elven songs, due to the beauty of the language are a great pleasure.
The Song of Creation
You all are forgetting the one single hands down Song to rule all songs of Middle Earth....

Another <s>Irish</s> Hobbit drinking song
J.R.R. Tolkien singing 'Troll Sat Alone On His Seat Of Stone', the poem recited by Sam Gamgee in 'The Lord of the Rings: Flight to the Ford'.

Far over the misty mountains cold
No two bards agreed on this, ever.
Music of the Ainur.
*Theme for Rohan* is my favourite. :o
I used to play 'Concerning hobbits' a lot, to make it the most popular song. I hope I succeeded. :D
Probably Aragon's song after being crowned. I would think it'd be quite popular after being heard.
"Breeland Jig"

The Battle Of Evermore:cool:
Great song about always blooming Mordor
Well obviously the one song, that was born with from elfs the same day that the 2 big lanterns iluminated the sky. It comes so deep from our soul that we, their descendants, can still hear it in our heart, calling:
*A Elbereth Gilthoniel*
A Elbereth Gilthoniel (O Elbereth Star-kindler)
Silivren penna míriel (White glittering slants down sparkling like jewels)
O menel aglar elenath! (From the firmament the glory of the star-host!)
Na-chaered palan-díriel (To-remote distance far-having gazed)
O galadhremmin ennorath, (From the tree-tangled middle-lands)
Fanuilos, le linnathon (Fanuilos, to thee I chant)
Nef aear, sí nef aearon! (Here on this side of the Great Ocean!)

Bilbo's bath song ("Water Hot") must be the favorite song of every thinking Middle Earther.
Anything off of the Rush album "Caress of Steel".

Over the Misty Mountains
"Hey! Ho! To the bottle I go.
To heal my heart and drown my woe.
Rain may fall and wind may blow,
But there still be many miles to go.
Sweet is the sound of the pouring rain,
And the stream that falls from hill to plain.
Better than rain or rippling brook...
Is a mug of beer inside this Took!"
The most popular song in middle earth is Flaming Red Hair ....though I know someone who re-wrote it The Flaming Red Hare....
