In the pic I'm holding my beautiful wife-to-be when we beached on the intercoastal bed during low tide to take a break from our kayak excursion in St Augustine, Florida.

I've never played WoW. I've heard too many bad stories and opinions about the community of WoW players. I never even played a trial version of it. I'm new to MMO's completely. Well, I've played Warhammer Online for about 3 months, but am getting bored and frustrated with it. I'm not as big into the PvP as you need to be with WAR. I come from many years of playing Counter-Strike and Counter-Strike: Source and the try hards that take the game WAY to serious have destroyed the joy of pvp for me. I love playing games WITH people, but the moment people start yelling at other people or start heckling rudely other players... my enjoyment and love disappears.

It's a GAME. Not life... srsly.

also, don't be so quick to write off mmo pvp here. While we have the usual tools just like any other MMO, it's quite enjoyable...hooked me in.

I came to LOTRO for PVE. never had any interest in playing PvP in a MMO. I made sure when I played EQ (everquest) to not pick a pvp server because I didn't want to deal with that. Came here, leveled a hunter to 20...tried to see what this monster play thing was all about....my hunter is still level 20 after 2 years of being parked on ice lol. I don't know what it was about the PvP here, but I fell hard for it.

Previously I played FPS (BF42, BFVN, Halo, Quake) for my pvp fix...used it as a surrogate to when i couldn't play paintball w/my buds.

but whatever, have fun here, lots of ways to do so...you have plenty of choice which is very nice.

Hrm... I'll have to give it a shot. How's the cheating in PvMP? A lot of exploits? That's one thing that erks me... cheaters. Also, how are the try hards in PvMP? Are there a lot?

Anywho... I'll give it a shot and see what happens. I really like the PVE and the Lore. Seeing new lands and experiencing the adventures each zone has to offer. Great fun. So much fun that I've been dreaming about LOTRO! haha ... is that bad?

Welcome to Brandywine. PVP can be alot of fun as there are ppl like Nidor (realize its just a game, and treat it as such.) But there are plenty of ppl who are just ridiculous and take waaay too much pride in what they "accomplish" in this game. Won't take long to figure out who is who. I'm kinda burned out right now but I really enjoyed it PVP for a long time. Hopefully you will too.

Knuggs and Friend on the Nantahala river over Memorial day holiday. Class 2 and 3 rapids and COLD as hell. The Nantahala Outdoor Center is an awesome vacation destination. The Appalachian Trail passes right through, Tsali mountain bike trails are 15 min away and the great river activities.
