On a boss fight, you'll want to go like this:
Battle Shout, SS, DB, BoE to get all buffs rolling. After that, cast To Arms, Banner and:
ToN, SS, DB to get Battle Hardened + ToN
Cutting Attack + Grave Wound
You now have all buffs you can possibly get in regards to Crit Magnitude. At this point, go
Inspire, SL, DB
And that's the way you burst.
That's an excellent rotation for a high morale target. Couple comments:Quote:

I have just started Dol Amroth dailies and am not having any difficulty with my Captain. I have a "solo" yellow Captain that puts points in red and a little in blue because I don't spend points for fellowship-only and threat generation (in the yellow line). I use this spec to sniff my way into the Dol Amroth areas that are unfamiliar. Once I get the feel of what I am doing, I shift over to Red. In my case, I always fight blade and board, so I skip putting points into damage increase for two-handers. Again, I skip the skills that only apply to fellowship. This lets me go more deeply into blue so I am, even with so-so gear, getting a lot out of bleeds and crits. I don't have trouble handling 4-5 at a time. Now, if I have to tackle more than 2 signatures, it is less risky with my yellow build.
In fact, I deliberately run around to pick up 4-5 mobs because it is fun and I get the full benefit out of the 30 seconds from my Standard of War. If I just grab one at a time, the banner is stuck in one spot and I have to go out of its range to pick up another mob.
So, I don't agree that the Captain is not strong enough to complete Dol Amroth dailies. Again, my gear is so-so. My virtues are still down around 12 rather than level cap. I only solo so I haven't picked up a first age wep and my armor/jewelry is blue/purple. I do have a cook and a scholar and make my own consumable buffs. If my captain can solo this stuff, anyone's can.
The advice on attack rotations here is good. Just consider my advise: If you are going into these solo and you have ALL your trait points in RED or ALL in YELLOW, you are not getting the max benefit out of mixing and matching. At least consider buying trait slots that will let you switch to a solo build (if you are having trouble). If you are geared better than I, you probably can go into DA dailies with all-purpose (solo/group) builds and do fine. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the Captain class
Since this thread has morphed into a DPS rotation thread, I thought I should cover a couple points.
First, regarding the timing of Blade of Elendil. I just did some testing today (U14.2), and confirmed Improved Blade of Elendil still consumes Battle Hardened State. So the discussion in Elrantiri's thread about delaying use of Blade of Elendil as long as possible is still a valid strategy. I don't use the BOE damage legacy and continue (as I said in Elrantiri's thread) to use BOE as late as possible (just before it greys out). Losing the critical magnitude buff from battle hardened state is not offset by the BOE light damage chance or SL boost. Of course if maximizing corruption removal is my goal, I use BOE sooner and let DPS suffer.
The other thing I should mention for those that are going back and reading Elrantiri's thread is the notion of stacking up your autocrit chance from Inspire and Shadow's Lament to use on Grave Wound doesn't apply anymore. Since 14.0, dots/bleed ticks no longer auto crit when the triggering skill autocrits, much to the annoyance of captains and minstrels (Fellowship Heart) everywhere.
GW doesn't apply the debuff on crit. It simply applies to the target you hit (not the AoE, your selected target).Quote:

I run my CPT fully might/crit essences most of the time and have around 15K morale with no deffences beside the armour mits on my DPS set which i use in the dailies.
I grab 3 or 4 groups and survive with full morale most of the time and here's how:
-Get To arms up.
-Pop withdrawl as you charge in. (Essential)
-Pull the groups and you MUST bring the melee to the ranged ones so make them all use melee.
-Counter bleeds with pots or muster courage if needed.
-Throw banner in the middle of the crowd then quickly get your AoE bleed up (Cutting attack > Grave wound) *If your DPS is high enough the fight is over here and you can kite it off*.
-Keep dpsing them off and pop Rallying cry as much as possible, Routing cry if morale is full or Rallying is on cd.
Note that all of this must be done in the span of a few seconds otherwise the durations die out, which means you will die out :P
