Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
My fiancee' and I are currently looking for a kinship.
As of this writing, my main is Varondir, a 37 Man Captain, and my primary alt is Einheriar, a 28 Dwarf Guardian. She plays Shadoreth, a 36 Elf Rune-keeper, and Lorenna, a 28 Hobbit Hunter.
What we're really looking for is a relatively small- to medium-size exploration kinship that isn't full of established, bored 65s that will tempt us with aid and information. ;) We would like to explore Middle-earth at our own pace and still hit all the instances on the way up, even the ones that don't scale, and we'd also like to maintain that sense of discovery when we enter a new area. This is my first time back to Middle-earth after quitting the game about two months after release (I completed Helegrod just before leaving, back when it first came out), and Shadoreth hasn't played through at all.
So far we've had pretty good luck finding groups and people to play with when we hit content that requires more than two people, but we'd really like to find more people to play with regularly instead of constantly trying our luck in LFF whenever we want to do something that a duo can't accomplish.
We play fairly often (by our standards) - an hour or two each weeknight and more on the weekends.
We are generally RP-tolerant/light RPers who don't object to heavier RP, but do object to mockery of RP. We feel that RP helps maintain a Tolkien-like environment and sense of immersion even if we don't participate in it very often.
We're also older folks (both in our 30s) and so would prefer to join a kinship that's closer to our age range.
Thanks for taking the time to read this. If there's any kinship that fits this bill, send us a message here or in-game!

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
I am just coming back to the game after an extended hiatus, and will be rolling a new character. What I would like to do is level in-character, with a consistent group.
However, I am not online until late (I usually can't get online until between 11pm and midnight, and I log out a little after 3am, Eastern time), and I am rather shy.
So! Hopefully there are one or two people out there interested in rerolling in-character, and willing to put up with my shyness. ;^_^

Wow, you basically just described word for word what my fiancee' and I are looking for too. Let me know if you find anything that's a good fit, or just get a hold of Renzlin in game if you guys want to quest or anything. We are working on new alts right now (22RK and 22 Mini), but have 65 LM HNT and champ in the garage as well :)

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Ingame Name - Lijah
Race - Race of Man
Class - Lore-master
Current Level - 43
- If you are considering roleplaying, raiding, and/or player versus player combat
I am not a big RP'er and would do light RP at most. It would be nice to do some raiding, but that is off in the distant future. I am a Premium account so I do not do any PvMP
- How many hours a week do you play?
I am a new father so I only play after the baby is asleep. I generally play about 1-2 hours a night between 8pm-10pm EST.
- Playstyle (explorer, grind-heavy, soloer, etc)
I, up to the point, have been a pure soloer and grind TP from time to time on alts. I would like the option to group up to do skirmishes or instances from time to time.
- Various other information a kinship may find useful
I have played MMO's since EQ launched in 1999. I have played EQ and WoW up until recently. I played LoTRO in the past and I am finally coming back to it.
- Optional - RL information such as Age, Time Zone, etc.
I am 27 and I play on EST. I am looking for a mature guild that does not mind helping me get up to speed. I am not looking to be carried, but I can forsee questions coming up about different aspects of the game.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
I hope that kins still check this thread... :)
Basics:
Name: Laerlin
Race: Mankind, from Gondor
Class: Hunter
Level: 24
Timezone: PST, USA
Age: Early 20s.
Play-style
I made a toon on Landroval strictly for role-playing. I would consider myself a medium RPer; I'll do quests either IC or OOC, and kin chat can be either IC or OOC. I am a *huge* lore nerd but will happily play with those who don't know as much (and if you have any lore questions, I'll totally be happy to answer them). I know some Sindarin, but I am nowhere near fluent. I consider grammar, spelling, and punctuation in RPing important. It does not have to be perfect, of course, but I really would prefer it to be legible. I understand if English is not your first language, of course.
My character is aligned as 'good', generally, so I would like a kinship with that alignment. Adventuring, hanging out in the Prancing Pony, or just building our characters is all in my interests. I have only done one adventure RP so I'm definitely interested in those. In the meanwhile, you can find me IC in the Pony.
Send me a PM or an ingame mail with information. Thank you!

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Greetings. My ingame character's name is Sevora, she is a Hobbit Guardian and is currently lvl 10 but gaining. First I will answer the questions specific in the thread.
- If you are considering roleplaying, raiding, and/or player versus player combat. This is a tricky one. I am not really a RPer even tho this is an RP server. I am typically casual but I am considering looking into raiding when I get to that level. PVP is ok, but its one of those things I have to be in the mood for.
- How many hours a week do you play? This can vary, it really depends on work and of course my interest in playing as well as family time. I try to play 20+ hours a week.
- Playstyle (explorer, grind-heavy, soloer, etc): I typically solo most of the time, but again this really depends on when I am playing. During the day if I am on I am often soloing and not really into groups because I am watching my kids usually. At night If I am online, then I am wanting to do more group stuff. I do like exploring sometimes, its a mood thing I guess. I just try to play the game and have fun.
- Various other information a kinship may find useful: Well, I have played a tank in many a game. Its what I am good at. As for the other games, well I have been playing MMO's heavily since 2004. I have played almost all the games out there. I have played UO, EQ, EQ2, WOW(but who hasn't right), FFIX, FFIV, SWG, Rift, WAR, Aion, STO, Champions online, CoH, RoM, Eden Eternal, Rappelz, Wizard101(I did mention I have kids right lol). There are probably a bunch of other games I have played and can't recall right now.
- Optional - RL information such as Age, Time Zone, etc
Ok..now for the real dirt. I am a stay at home dad, I work part time and do online education right now. I am what most would call an MMO junkie. I am 33, I have 4 kids ranging from 10 to 3. I live in NE Georgia, and I play some chaotic hours. Most often tho If I am online during the day its to do solo stuff, farm, grind deeds, and work tradeskills. At night I tend to want to group up and hang out.
Me and a friend have decided to come back to Lotro and try it out again. My friend and I have played MMO's together for a long time but the last few years we haven't been able to group much because he was working nightshift. Now hes going back to days and wants to get back to grouping and hanging out in a game again. Anyways he picked the server. I am not heavy into RPing so I would be looking for an RP light kin. I do not want a kin to hold my hand and power level me through the game. I do want a kin to get to know, have fun with, and group with. I know Lotro tends to be an alt heavy game. I just want to have fun. We are also looking for a kin that might do some end game stuff, as we want to try to experience it all. Previous attempts at playing the game only got us to midgame stuff. This time I want to just have fun in the game. Finding a good kin is important, as it can mean the difference between enjoying the game or not.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Hello!
My fiance and I are finally ready to join a kinship!
I'm Virginia (Age 24), a lvl 58 Elf Hunter (Glinien), and he's Brian (Age 27), a lvl 57 Man Guardian (Freond).
We're hoping to find a light to heavy RP kin, though we're not very active roleplayers, we're looking for a kin full of people who have a passion for the works of Tolkien.
If a kin is located in Southern California that's an added bonus, as we're looking to forge some friendships, but it's not a dealbreaker by any means. We're hoping for an intimate kin, nothing too big! We'd like to get to know you! We're looking for a kin for social reasons, not necessarily for leveling purposes.
We have a mild interest in raiding (him moreso), and a definite interest in PvMP, though we haven't done either! Neither of us have reached level cap, so we're new to any end game stuff as well! But we have been playing lotro pretty much since the beginning!
We try to play for at least an hour a day, more on weekends, but both of us attend Art School full time, and run a small business on the side, so our schedules are somewhat unpredictable! We've had these characters for about a year, if that says anything about our playing habits!
Thanks for taking the time to read this, we look forward to hearing from you and forging some friendships!!!

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Berenion, Man, Warden, Level 9
Just got Warden from the LOTRO, decided to make my first Warden on Landroval because wanted to try RP some. I have a fair amount of knowledge of the LOTR-verse, don't know Elvish ;) Currently I play quite a bit. I enjoy questing, skirmish, raids, crafting, and socializing. Looking for a medium RP Kin and some advice on where to select housing and decide on a helpful crafting profession for possible kin. CST, RL: mature 26 male

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
- Caterine Rosewood, Female, Man, Hunter, lv. 15, Woodsman
Preferring medium-heavy roleplay.
Hours vary on RL commitments and class schedule, but I'm generally on every day for several hours.
I tend to be a solo explorer/gatherer, but I wouldn't say no to partying up and questing/raiding/whatever.
Yes, I'm still wearing my n00b gear, but in my cosmetic slot.
Time zone: EST - Kinship found! Thank you very much!

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
So, going to give this a shot since my kinship has more or less died down to just a few people. I'm looking to join something on my alt, which may very well become my new main. I don't plan on not playing my other characters and a few of them will remain in the deflated guild we have, but hoping to find something else because RP on Landy seems to be very hit and miss for me. I'm not sure how this will come off and I am hoping it is not read negatively. I am very much just looking for the right spot and I'm hoping someone can direct me.
Here's what I'm looking for:
-Heavy RP guild: I want to RP. That's why I'm here. I'm hoping to find some people who are patient. I will spend time waiting for responses and I'm hoping others are willing to do the same. I'm not fond of one-liner RPs, though I have and will RP with plenty of people who do this. I don't mind it terribly, but it's not what I really am looking for. I tend to RP in paragraphs and I don't want to be discriminated against based on how I indicate OOC statements or what tense I type in or what have you. I don't think those things matter and I'm hoping to find others like-minded.
-Not Lore Crazed: I don't want to be harassed over lore though I will stand by lore as best as I can. I haven't read every piece of everything Tolkien and I have no interest in doing so, but my RP concepts will always fit into the themes of the world. I'm hoping to find a group of people who are not going to stop RP in the middle to OOCly nitpick about some mistake I've made. I don't mind being politely reminded of something or spoken to OOCly in tells or something, but I have no patience for the kinds of things I've seen going on in the past.
-Inclusive guild: I want to share my work and read and view the work of others and I'm hoping to not have to spend years establishing myself in order to get any attention. I'm not expecting people to fawn all over me, but to just give me a fair shot despite that I don't have as much time or LOTRO background as others. I've been battling that since I joined and I'd like to find myself a 'home' and not have to worry about how RL pulled me away for 2 weeks so now I'm more or less back to square one. It'd be nice to find a place that uses their forums a lot, too. I'm a very forum-happy person.
-Non-Military Concept: While I can certainly appreciate this style of RP and the many interesting ways people view and use the mechanics with this mentality, I'm not looking to join something Military based at this point in time. I'm not going to have as much time in LOTRO as I had before and I'd like to spend what time I do have RPing, playing music and exploring the system more and crafting/harvesting. My characters tend to be very 'average joe' style and I like playing that. I believe the interest in RP for me comes from situations and relations with other characters and how one person reacts to someone else's actions. While a military theme obviously holds a place for this, I'm hoping for something different.
If you know of any guild that might fit these things, all or one, please let me know. I'd really like to get back into the swing of things and I'm hoping I can find the right group this time! :)

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Dedicada Paz & Fernthistle Entwhistle (alt), looking for a Kin.
Dedicada is a Warden, Race-of-man. Fernthistle is a Hunter, Hobbit. She is currently lv 25 almost 26, he is currently 18 almost 19.
I consider myself an explorer, crafter, group player, occasionally raider, sometimes RPer. I am a fan of the books. I read plenty of other fantasy books and love to talk about speculative literature with others :) (in real life i'm a grad student...)
I play maybe 15 to 25 hours a week (eastern US time zone). Depending on the usual set of circumstances. I also play Eve online. I find that playing 2 different games helps me not "burn out". I am new to LOTRO but not to online rpgs. in addition to the aforementioned eve, I also played world-of-you-know what for 4 years, leaving recently due to friends in-game having horrid fights and me needing to escape into another world. I am very very happy with lotro so far, the game as well as the people.
I'm a paying subscriber. I'll order the upcoming expansion soon :D (i would have already ordered it but i didnt want to go through the lower level areas 25% faster, because they're pretty awesome and i wanted to be able to experience everything)
In (you know what game) i was an officer in my guild, which was known on our server for being a skillful and close knit raiding guild. I was in charge of settling grievances, the conciliatory one if you will :)
I LOVE to craft and look forward to Dedicada becoming world reknowned for her tailoring prowess and Fernthistle for his whittling masterworks. I also love having a little house to call my own in the bree homesteads. Dedicada is sure she will visit the kinship house, so long as there is a place to rest her feet and a pitcher of stout beverages....
I don't know anything about the way to make in-game music but i think it's awesome.
I hope to find a fun loving and helpful home where not only are there good players, but also good people.
I hope the right person sends Dedicada and/or Fernthistle a lotromail soon!
Cheers.
Dedicada Paz/ Fernthistle Entwhistle

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Semi-vet from Dwarrowdelf server, new to Landroval, seeking kinship.
Ingame Name, Race, Class, and Current Level:
Megildan, Man of Gondor, Champion, currently L-14, but it will be higher before the end of the night.
If you are considering roleplaying, raiding, and/or player versus player combat:
Joined Landroval to do more RP than what I can get on Dwarrowdelf. RP is my main concern on this server. I would not turn down some IC or OOC quest-line runs, skirmishes, or raids if they came my way. I loathe PvP in all its forms and would really only entertain the idea of it for RP purposes.
How many hours a week do you play?
Not as much as I would like, since I have a pretty active life IRL. Mainly a weekender with the occasional evening thrown in. I can really only count on about 5 hours a week, but it can be as much as 10 or 15.
Playstyle (explorer, grind-heavy, soloer, etc):
When questing, I tend to be a soloer, since I usually prefer to go at my own pace. However, I would not turn my nose up at the occasional fellowship. A resource for working on fellowship quests would be awesometastic.
Various other information a kinship may find useful:
Lore junky. Started playing LotRO because I'm a lore junky. I don't force it down anyone's throat or anything, but I can sometimes start to geek out when I recognize something on the game map that is described in an obscure passage from the books. I would prefer RPing where lore was adhered to at a respectable level, but I don't expect perfection or anything. Top priority is still to have fun.
Optional - RL information such as Age, Time Zone, etc.:
Though my main toon on this server is male, I am myself female. 29 years old. CST. Will have more toons on this server in time. Tend to RP characters of a good alignment.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
- Ingame Name, Race, Class, and Current Level
AnaTorrent - Elf - Hunter - 35
LinaLeandersson - Dwarf - Guardian - 41
- If you are considering roleplaying, raiding, and/or player versus player combat
No real interest in roleplaying, joined the server because a few friends had characters on it from awhile ago but they never play. Would consider raiding.
- How many hours a week do you play?
Matters on if I work or not, play about four hours if I'm off and two if I work. I'm on between the hours of 10 PM and 12 PM (I work a night shift).
- Playstyle (explorer, grind-heavy, soloer, etc)
Have mainly soloed but go around in fellowships when I can find them which can be hard during the middle of the night.
- Optional - RL information such as Age, Time Zone, etc.
22 - Eastern

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
I'm quite new on Landroval. Most of my characters are on Crickhollow, as a matter of fact, although even on there I haven't been playing too long (a month and a half, maybe two at most). My only Landroval character as of yet is Aulay, a level 8 (almost 9), at the time of this writing, Hobbit Guardian.
I like questing/exploring/et cetera in a fellowship, although I prefer to know my fellows at least a little, so I'm generally solo. Real life-wise, I'm sixteen, and go by EST. I'm looking to get into the RP scene (I have a little bit on Crickhollow, but I'm still relatively new to the whole thing), preferably medium or heavy, although any of the three classifications works just fine. How often I'm on differs from day to day, but on average, I'd say 3-4 hours daily at least. I'm a lore junkie, but I'm not super-knowledgeable or anything (I've just read LotR, The Hobbit, and The Silmarillion).
-
Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
So, I've tried to get into this game several times, and the universe always seemed to conspire against me at the time. Never even got a character above level 10, until now that is. I've got my character up to 21, and I'm really liking the game this time around. I was hoping to maybe stumble upon a kinship, but that hasn't happened yet so I'm gonna try this.
My character is Erewulf, race of man, warden, and currently level 21.
-In terms of roleplaying, RP-lite is probably preferred. Sometimes, you just need to ask "should I push this button or that button". And I'm just not the greatest RPer ever, and I'd probably muss up RPing enough to anger a heavy RP kinship.
-As for PvP, raiding, and so forth. Well, I'm level 21 right now, so being able to group, level and do epic quests with others is certainly the main priority. Once I get to a level where PvP and raiding are things to do, I'd like to, but not at the exclusion of doing other things.
-How much a week I play tends to vary. But usually I like to play on weekends, and some weekdays from about 7pm mountain standard to 11pm.
-For my playstyle... I tend to be... flaky? I'm pretty easy going, and it's more about having fun than anything else. So, running around doing epic quests or levelling, or doing raids, or whatever. I don't like tedium, so only doing one thing constantly would bore me.
-As for more info, I'm in colorado, which is mountain standard time. Doesn't really matter where everyone else is, as long as times tend to coincide.
-Other stuffs. As I said I'm pretty easy going, it is all about the journey and the fun. So, lots of grouping is definitely a plus, I never mind being dragged along for the ride (unless it's a ride to enternal annoyance, then I'll have a problem). A helpful kinship would be nice (I assume most are helpful), and I'd like to be helpful later on, once I stop being a helpless newbie. :p
I think that's it. Ya can always ask me more if I forgot anything.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
I'm looking for a kinship for both role play and occasional out of character chat, preferably with room for a lot of creativity and learning more about the lore. I have a level 15 hunter elf named Taisynn, and I am currently working on playing the game and reading the books. I've already read The Hobbit, and I am now reading The Fellowship of the Ring.
Though I mostly solo, I sometimes need help with quests here and there. I also need new contacts, because I started anew on this server in hopes of finding some fun, mature role play. I'd prefer to find a kinship with college level maturity in comparison, though light hearted fun is a requirement. I play everyday for at least 3-4 hours a day, Pacific Time Zone, and perhaps more since I am currently on summer break from college. I currently have VIP and have already pre-ordered the Isenguard expansion pack.
- Taisynn, Elf
- Level 15 Hunter
- Roleplay with room for OOC Chat
- 3-4 hours, if not more
- Mostly Solo
- VIP
- 19, Pacific Time Zone
Please send me a tell in game, if possible. :)
-
Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Alas, I will join the folks looking for a Kinship, too. I used to be part of Shadow Company but I can't seem to find any trace of them now. I don't mind a military RP Kin, though I find a lot of them are the Race of Man only and don't really allow elves. Neiahel specializes in being a scholar so she is always up for adventure and exploration. I'm currently wandering around Evendium doing quests. Send me a tell in game or a PM here both are decent ways to contact me.
Details:
- Neiahel of Mirkwood, Elf
- Level 38 Minstrel
- Role-play (Med or Heavy) and a OOC chat channel
- 2-5 hours/day
- Mostly Solo, though, love grouping with others.
- Healing minstrel, though I'm slotted for solo right now.
- VIP right now, possibility with going premium every other month due to money constraints. (was already a premium to begin with ;) )
- 25 (age)
- PST time zone, mostly late hours after 10pm~ish

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
- Ingame Name, Race, Class, and Current Level
Name: Ferndoc Sweetleaf
Race: Hobbit
Class: Burglar
Current Level: 24
- If you are considering roleplaying, raiding, and/or player versus player combat
I am interested in a light to medium-heavy roleplay kinship. I like to roleplay, but I don't wanna get yelled at by any RP police if something is OOC or isn't completely lore correct.
I am interested in raiding, once I get to that point. I've been playing MMOs for many years (since Ultima, through Everquest & DAoC, and on to the Dark One, which shall remain nameless), so I have a lot of experience.
PVP is something I am interested in, but not too terribly much. I quit the last MMO I played because it was so competitive and started LOTRO because I just kinda wanted to hang out and have fun.
- How many hours a week do you play?
This varies, of course, with my schedule, but I play quite a bit when I can. Minimum 8 hours a week, all the way up to 20 or 30 hours a week.
- Playstyle (explorer, grind-heavy, soloer, etc)
I mostly play solo and spend a lot of time on my professions and crafting (this character is a Tinker).
- Various other information a kinship may find useful
I am a Chief in another kinship (which will remain nameless, as it has no relevance here). That kinship doesn't do any sort of RP, so I'm looking to get in with a good group of mature RPers with this character. I am only interested in kinships that are exclusively for burglars or exclusively for hobbits... or better yet, exclusively for hobbit burglars, haha. I have read LOTR and the Hobbit numerous times, and have read the Sil a few times also, so I'm fairly knowledgeable of the lore, if that makes any difference.
- Optional - RL information such as Age, Time Zone, etc.
Age: 33
Time Zone: Central
Etc.: I have a weird schedule at my job, so I'm probably going to be on when most others are not; like in the middle of the day on weekdays. Also, even though I am a Chief in another kin, don't let that scare you away. That kin isn't very active and I rarely play that character anymore. Ferndoc is my new golden boy, and I look forward to a long and prosperous career with your kinship... burgling and whatnot.
Thanks for taking the time to peruse my post, and I look forward to hearing from someone soon!
(I prefer a /tell in-game, since I rarely come to these boards, but a pm here is fine, too. thanks!)

Elf Warden
Mae govannen... I am seeking for an elf-oriented kinship at the moment. I used to wander around in another server, called Withywindle, and I've used 2-3 different characters there. For instance, my hunter hobbit was leveled up to 63. Now that I wanted to hang around in Landroval, just created another character 3 days ago, and I would like to join to a big kinship whereas I may have friendly relations, some fun, fellowship quests, skirmishes, and raids in the future. I level up quite fast since I used to play beforehand.
Details:
- Artaniel Earfalas of Lorien, Female Elf
- Level 16 Warden
- 2-7 hours/day, depending on the workload
- Lifetime VIP Membership
- 23-Female
- (UTC+01:00) Time Zone - from Sweden
- Like crafting stuff, playing music around. Used to be a heavy quest-based character, but now opting for a lot more easygoing, fun-based adventure around the Middle Earth.
P.S. I prefer /tell or mail by post in-game.
-
Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
- Ingame Name, Race, Class, and Current Level
Name: Ninesgalien
Race: Woman
Class: Guardian
Level: 31
- If you are considering roleplaying, raiding, and/or player versus player combat
I want a kinship that is geared towards heavy/med RP (my girl is "rumored" to be a ranger in the town of Bree.) that fits my character's play style. I would like a kin that helps out with leveling, if only a little.
- How many hours a week do you play?
It depends on my schedule, but I play daily most of the time.
- Playstyle (explorer, grind-heavy, soloer, etc)
I am a dyed in the wool RP'er. I would also consider myself an explorer and I do like to solo a lot, but having a tight-knight group of people willing to help out with quests and skirmishes is great too. I'm still new to the game and I am still exploring it.
- Various other information a kinship may find useful
I am looking for something Man-only, but it doesn't have to be. For me, I want an RP kin most. I am also looking for a mature kin 18-20+
- Optional - RL information such as Age, Time Zone, etc.
Age: mid/late 20's
Time zone: Central

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Goruil of Gondor, Man, Warden, Nineth.
Would enjoy a heavy roleplay kinship, also would like to try PvP later on.
Fifteen to twenty hours a week.
Explorer and solo player for the most part as I level my main.
Looking for a heavy roleplay group with a focus toward immersion in the Lord of the Rings setting. But would prefer one that keeps group story lines non-epic and in line with the canon material.
