Re: Tell the Community Team - New and Revamped Systems - 4/8/10
Question 1
Excluding, PvMP, Legendary Items and Radiance gear, what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised? Please list two and give a brief description of how you would revise/expand them.
1. Housing -- first... simply put, with all the festivals and trophies, there isn't enough room in the house. Give me an option to buy a bigger house, and move things around in the house the way I want to. If you keep on adding things to the game, we need more house space.
2. Mounts - Love the mounts, but how about allowing us to store things on our mounts. IF Bill the pony could carry so many things for the fellowship, surely my horse should have like 6-10 slots.
Question 2
If you could add an entirely new gameplay mechanic to LOTRO what would it be?
I love the Balrog mission, where you live out the past in Moria. How about missions that dive deep into the history of Middle-earth. ... like reliving events with your character that appeared in the Silmarillion?
Question 3
Name two activities in game that you never seem to have enough time to enjoy or would like to spend more time participating in. (Note: Things currently in game, not new activities or events.)
1.Festivals
2.Rpging

Re: Tell the Community Team - New and Revamped Systems - 4/8/10
Question 1
...what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised?
1. Housing -- some things I'd like to see...
- More floor layout configurations (either through additions or simply more models to choose from)
- No hooks. Let us choose where to place our objects à la SWG
- Stables for our multitude of horses
- Crafting stations - great addition for kinhalls
- Neighborhood events (not only social, but perhaps skirmish-like attacks from regional aggressors)
- Stable-master just outside the entrance. It's great that we can choose to ride a horse to housing, but have to map out, or run, to leave
2. Crafting - I've always enjoyed crafting in MMOs but the current system feels somewhat void of depth and interaction. Expand the crafters options (beyond the multi-output button) like having the output altered by the ingredients selected. What I miss from other systems are things like the "what if I used two coal instead of one" or "what happens when I combine this emblem with these armor plates and this leather pad". I know that eventually the player base figures out all the unknown formulas but it adds lots of variability where very little exists today.
Also, the actual art of crafting should be tied more to skill than pure chance. RNG is something to be used for combat and little else. You should start charging devs for using the RNG, or at least ration its use. Then they'll start thinking about new and innovated ways of determining success or failure. After all, we're paying to play a game, not roll the digital dice at every turn. Have crafting attempts evolve into a mini-games where the player must use skill in order to achieve critical success. They can't thread that needle? Too bad, normal success. They successfully folded that blade? Great, critical success.
Question 2
If you could add an entirely new gameplay mechanic to LOTRO what would it be?
Alt Companions -- I really do like the effort that's gone into developing Skirmishes (and feel that elements of it's progression system should be borrowed elsewhere, like LIs) but what I'd really like to see is a way to leverage alts in a similar manner.
It would be fantastic if we could somehow call upon one or more of our alts to aid another of our characters in time of need. The available AI skills would be based on their class obviously and an extrapolation of their "soldier" ratings would be a derivative of their actual ratings.
There just isn't any connection right now between any of our characters and since most people plow through new content far faster than it can be created, you need to create a new reason why folks should start investing in more alts. Being able to field a band of 5-6 soldiers (alts, all personally leveled and geared by the player) would create loads of replay potential. You could even create a new landscape (similar to Ettenmoors) where this tech would be limited to so as not to overly trivialize current solo content, although it probably wouldn't matter all that much to have the option of summoning 1-2 alts to play with your main in the persistent landscape.
Question 3
Name two activities in game that you never seem to have enough time to enjoy or would like to spend more time participating in.
1. Raiding - I do not have the time to invest in a large raiding kinship and as such I've only participated in a handful of raids, never having seen the Watcher, DN, or BG. Since PUGing is my only option, content needs to be more accessible to PUGs, unless there is no intent in having that content experienced by some of your more casual player base.
2. Questing and advancing alts - right now, what's killing the enjoyment of leveling alts is having to redo the same old slayer deeds over and over again. It's been suggested numerous times, but to reiterate, the Advanced slayer deeds (2nd tier) for alts on the same account of a character who's already completed it, should be waived. Less grind, more fun!

Question 1
Excluding, PvMP, Legendary Items and Radiance gear, what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised? Please list two and give a brief description of how you would revise/expand them.
#1 We have a huge and real presence of farmers in game and other then making vegetables for cooks, what else is there? Yes, we make grains and hops for beer, flowers for decor and pipe-weed for smoking.... Which leads me to my next point....
#2 Why couldn't we give these items have a real effect on the player. Not a huge thing but a subtle buff... If you sniffed a flower or Smoked a certain pipe weed or drank a flask of wine. There have been other MMOs that did this and, although these buffs weren't huge, it provided a way the player could use all the other " prop" products in the game.
Question 2
If you could add an entirely new gameplay mechanic to LOTRO what would it be?
I'm not a programmer so I really don't know whats possible. But I would have to say, and following the lore, it would have to be boating! I think that would be a unique hobby also!
Question 3
Name two activities in game that you never seem to have enough time to enjoy or would like to spend more time participating in. (Note: Things currently in game, not new activities or events.
#1 I think the festivals are sadly under used but that might be because they are sadly inconsequental. What do you really get out of festivals?
#2 Monster Play is probably something I don't do because it is really out of my league when it comes to PvMP. Most of the players are just to good for my meager skills. If there were levels... that would be cool!

Question 1
Excluding, PvMP, Legendary Items and Radiance gear, what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised? Please list two and give a brief description of how you would revise/expand them.
1. armour - Some of the non-radiance armour looks awesome with good stats. Would like to see armour made into something where hope/buffs/bling/etc. could be slotted into so you could keep the armour for a while. Perhaps a method of grinding for jewels/ribbons/etc. that allow the amour to have these bonuses.
2. horses - moar horse options, such as types of horses, sizes, horse cosmetics, barding, carts, blankets, stables for houses, grain for your horse for higher moral, faster, etc. Farmers could grow grain for selling.
Question 2
If you could add an entirely new gameplay mechanic to LOTRO what would it be?
- allow players to sit at tables and be able to play tavern games with people. eg: chess, cards, gambling games, etc. A small window could pop up, showing your hand at cards, a chess board, etc., but still allow you a full view of the room and other player.
- boating and/or underwater swimming. Fishing while boating. If on a river, be able to automatically float down the river with the current.
Question 3
Name two activities in game that you never seem to have enough time to enjoy or would like to spend more time participating in. (Note: Things currently in game, not new activities or events.)
- chicken play/quests (or fox play, or crow play, or cat play, etc.)
- music. Moar instruments and a way of sharing music files in game so people could participate immediately.

Question 1
Excluding, PvMP, Legendary Items and Radiance gear, what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised? Please list two and give a brief description of how you would revise/expand them.
1. hobbies. gardening? butterfly collecting? cross stitch? I could make some loverly "Hole Sweet Hole" pillows for my Shire home... Trophy hunting with titles?
2. crafting...cosmetics clothing, furniture, cosmetic weapons...a slot for that frying pan though I am really using a great club would be entertaining...and roleplayingish
Question 2
If you could add an entirely new gameplay mechanic to LOTRO what would it be?
horsemanship.
Question 3
Name two activities in game that you never seem to have enough time to enjoy or would like to spend more time participating in. (Note: Things currently in game, not new activities or events.)
1.Raiding
2.kinships...ok...I have little spare time these days and the social thingie is just too difficult to maintain when I am deployed for months at a time and the ship wont give us bandwidth for our personal laptops for security reasons...<sigh>

Question 1
Excluding, PvMP, Legendary Items and Radiance gear, what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised? Please list two and give a brief description of how you would revise/expand them.
1. Cosmetic - more racial/cultural outfits, shield cosmetic, cosmetics for mounts
2. Music - more instruments, e.g., fiddle, sackbut (trombone), shawm (oboe), dulcian (bassoon), recorder, horn (like a hunting horn/French horn, not the saxophone currently in game)
Question 2
If you could add an entirely new gameplay mechanic to LOTRO what would it be?
Mounted combat

Question 1
Excluding, PvMP, Legendary Items and Radiance gear, what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised? Please list two and give a brief description of how you would revise/expand them.
1. changing this to exploration. I would like a greater sense of a world. enlarge areas so that we can discover things. could lead to areas for adventuring or quests, etc. Perhaps just some of the later areas such as lothlorien or mirkwood.
2. Changing this to gear. I just want better looking armor and weapons. This could go with updating or improving the avatars themselves as well.
Question 2
If you could add an entirely new gameplay mechanic to LOTRO what would it be?
hmmm, well I'm not sure this could be done but, though I've always hated crafting, the one thing I used to love was loading up a Neverwinter nights trainer and being able to actually design my character's armor and weapons. For example, Armor was comprised of sections such as pauldrons, upper arm, lower arm and the chest and belt, etc. with this simple mod, I could cycle through different pauldrons until I got one that I liked. Same with upper arm, lower arm, etc. by doing this the player applied different armor and weapon assets that were already made and used in the game but could sort of mix and match them as well as dye them.
Same with weapons. A sword would have several sections and each section had about 3 or 4 different looks. I could cycle through the blade, the pommel, etc. I would spend hours doing this. It's something that I always thought should be incorporated into crafting on some level. But again, I'm unsure of the best way this could be implemented in the game without causing issues.
Question 3
Name two activities in game that you never seem to have enough time to enjoy or would like to spend more time participating in. (Note: Things currently in game, not new activities or events.)
1. Music System. I am actually a composer and would love to incorporate some suitable music but I can't seem to get around to learning this ABC system or whatever it is in order to bring in midi files.
2. Raiding

Question 1
Excluding, PvMP, Legendary Items and Radiance gear, what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised? Please list two and give a brief description of how you would revise/expand them.
1. Virtue System- Increase the cap from 10 to say 15, 1 extra level from lvl 60.
eg. at lvl61 u can have 11, at lvl62 12 etc.
Please make all 'Slayer Deeds' apply to your Entire Account.
Also make the resist virtues better. Make the value mean something.
2.Housing Update- Add free form housing, please no more hooks.
If it’s too much dev coding, keep the excising neigbourhoods, and plugin a new EQII style 'instance housing', where u can enter your instance house thru the excising neighbourhoods, where the bank/vendor are located.
This way everyone can have an 'instance house' where there kinship hall are located.
Please reduce the cool down on your house/kinship port, make it like the hunters, 1sec.
Also, all charactors on your account can purchase an 'instance house'.
Question 2
If you could add an entirely new gameplay mechanic to LOTRO what would it be?
New crafting profession, Furniture Maker, Relic Crafting, Spell Binding (old AC2 style).
Question 3
Name two activities in game that you never seem to have enough time to enjoy or would like to spend more time participating in. (Note: Things currently in game, not new activities or events.)
1. Festival for all my alts- please add swift travel as someone said, during the festival. I spend as much time traveling, as i do, doing the events. Most events only take a few minutes, but it can take upto 5 minutes getting there.
2. Rep grinding- please reduce the amount of grinding for rep points. Once u have one charactor at kindred on your account, all other alt's should get a reduction to what they need to get to kindred, and i mean a big reduction, something in the order of 30k less. Is it a game or a job?
Thanks for listening.

Question 1
Excluding, PvMP, Legendary Items and Radiance gear, what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised? Please list two and give a brief description of how you would revise/expand them.
1. Housing.. but since you'll never do that... (This is still first pick. Free form, hex-style, or SOMETHING different in terms of item placement. )
2. Reputation - Kinda worthless. Can you say Bank access in Blue Stone Garrison please? This appeared to have stalled out with Bree and Thorins. Good job? Bigger ally discounts, and expand to other areas people actually go.
3. Deeding - Toggle option (since some strange people are against it) that gives credit for slayer deeds already completed in a region on an alt. First toon has no discount. Second toon to go kill all those slayer deeds again has a, say 10% kills-needed discount. Stacks with additional alts, say capping at 40%. Toggle option for those who are against this. Alts shouldn't make baby lemmings want to kill themselves prematurely. These would become quasi-account-bound deeds.
Question 2
If you could add an entirely new gameplay mechanic to LOTRO what would it be?
More non-festival social events. There are OODLES of suggestions in the... suggestion forum. Totally lore appropriate and gives rewards for enjoying something that we grew to love the original works of Tolkien because of (amongst others, yes).
Question 3
Name two activities in game that you never seem to have enough time to enjoy or would like to spend more time participating in. (Note: Things currently in game, not new activities or events.)
1. Tag, because it sucks. Small arena = boring. Sooo pointless.
2. Fishing. Why put a hobby in-game and make it an epic fail. Still ain't useful enough to bother with, and I'd LIKE to bother with it. So yea, improed hobbies that are worth while.

Question 1
Excluding, PvMP, Legendary Items and Radiance gear, what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised? Please list two and give a brief description of how you would revise/expand them.
1.Housing - Make it hookless, give us more hooks, whatever. But I want my house to reflect my character. The current system has the furniture so spread out that even with every hook filled it looks empty. I want a reason to go to my home, to decorate or to visit with my neighbors. I don't want it to just be another storage closet. Speaking of storage, if we had hookless housing or more hooks, storage might be less of a problem. I have a ton of items only gotten from presents and festivals filling my bank.
2.Hobbies - I personally want my experience in LoTRO to be more then just fighting. You made this great world, give us more reasons to be out and about in it besides fighting. One suggestion I've seen that I like, bird watching with birds specific to certain areas.
Question 2
If you could add an entirely new gameplay mechanic to LOTRO what would it be?
Nor sure, but will add my voice to Mounted Combat
Question 3
Name two activities in game that you never seem to have enough time to enjoy or would like to spend more time participating in. (Note: Things currently in game, not new activities or events.)
1. Raids, I haven't been on many simply because of the time involved and the weird hours I have.
2. Gatherings in our neighborhoods and houses. I'd like to spend more time in my neighborhood, but unless housing gets an upgrade, I see no reason to.

Re: Tell the Community Team - New and Revamped Systems - 4/8/10
Question 1
Excluding, PvMP, Legendary Items and Radiance gear, what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised? Please list two and give a brief description of how you would revise/expand them.
Housing
- Instead of hooks the house and yard should be on a grid. Each item will fit anywhere on the grid where there is room and a wall if needed also allowing access where necessary (in front of the chair or fireplace, beside the bed).
- Allow guilders to purchase a small work station and place it in their house or on their lawn.
- Low level station (Master Expert and level 35) would be guilded craft only
- High level station (Supreme Master and level 55) would be all-in-one "Craft of the ..."
- Put more cosmetic items for the house in the game via loot and vendors.
- House chests should be increased to maximum of five chests per house with a separate chest for bound household items.
- Neigborhoods should have more NPC activities that PCs can join in on (picnics, dances, fish frys). Not just stand around and watch but actually participate - picnic allows food and drink to be consumed, fish fry where PC catches the fish and grills it over the special campfire provided (provides no buffs, only a satisfied-and-need-a-nap-now feeling)
Player model and cosmetic options
- Increase the sliders for character creation to allow more customization in the face and body.
- Add additional hairstyles and allow sliders to change the hair length
- Provide a way older characters can make adjustments to their features not just their hair style and color (barber).
- Provide more cosmetic items along with the ability to merge the stats from one item with the visual appearance of another within the same class (light, medium, heavy).
Question 2
If you could add an entirely new gameplay mechanic to LOTRO what would it be?
Bind to Account on Acquire versus Bind on Acquire
- Items should be able to be shared between characters on the same account via Shared Bank only.
- They would not be mailable or auctionable or tradeable between characters.
- No change to Bind on Equip
Coin Purses and Mapcases similar to Key Rings and Mount Skills
- Any and all bound tokens and coins would be kept in a purse.
- All maps would be memorized and kept in a map book.
Question 3
Name two activities in game that you never seem to have enough time to enjoy or would like to spend more time participating in. (Note: Things currently in game, not new activities or events.)
Fluff Games and just Hanging Out
Exploration and Reputation
- Exploration for reasons other than deed completion.
- Reputation just never gets done as there is always something else that "needs" to get done first. The rewards don't give me a reason to work on rep instead of leveling an alt or working on crafting.

Question 1
Excluding, PvMP, Legendary Items and Radiance gear, what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised? Please list two and give a brief description of how you would revise/expand them.
1. Finding groups tool. In Australian time it can be very hard to find groups to do 12 person raids. I would like to see a tool that would allow people from different servers band together to do raids or multiplayer skirmishes. Some kind of auto-joingroup feature. (Dare I say it... similar to a very large competitor.)
2. Increase the ingame voice quality if possible.
Question 2
If you could add an entirely new gameplay mechanic to LOTRO what would it be?
As mentioned above, an easy way to group for instances and skirmishes. If possible going across servers.
Question 3
Name two activities in game that you never seem to have enough time to enjoy or would like to spend more time participating in. (Note: Things currently in game, not new activities or events.)
1. Group skirmishes
2. Raid groups for the awesome instances in game.

Re: Tell the Community Team - New and Revamped Systems - 4/8/10
Excluding, PvMP, Legendary Items and Radiance gear, what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised? Please list two and give a brief description of how you would revise/expand them.
1. HOUSING! Did I mention housing? :) Completely redesign it. Do away with the hook system and allow us free-form placement of items. LotRO seems to be a more mature and social game than most MMO's. Housing is one of those 'fluff' items that is far more important here than in many games. In addition to free-form item placement, create many more housing items. Allow us to have stables to display our mounts and dummies to display clothing and armor. Also, add some usefulness to the neighborhoods to increase traffic there (crafting areas, fully stocked healers, etc.). allow us to travel to our home whenever we wish without a cool down on the skill.
2. CRAFTING- More like Star Wars Galaxies with varying qualities of ingredients (ie. nodes wouldn't give more or less ingredients, they'd give different qualities). Allow experimenting in creating items to produce unexpected results. For example, three crafters use slightly different grades of ore to produce the same sword. One crafter places rubies in the pommel, another adds rare wood to the hilt and the third adds a second metal to the blade. Skills, components and luck result in one sword being more durable, another doing more DPS and the last giving a bonus to evade.
Question 2
If you could add an entirely new gameplay mechanic to LOTRO what would it be?
Scalable bosses and instances. Give high level characters a reason to return to Fornost, Helegrod and the Rift by creating a scalable system of opponents and loot. Developers put a lot of time into some great instances. Give us a reason to return to them.
Question 3
Name two activities in game that you never seem to have enough time to enjoy or would like to spend more time participating in. (Note: Things currently in game, not new activities or events.)
1. Raiding. Long time commitments, radiance gating and other hassles put several of the raids out of reach of many but the most active and organized kinships.
2. Time in pubs/roleplaying. Give us some real game mechanics that benefit us for spending time in the pubs (like a small buff, etc.) and some mini-games to play there.

Re: Tell the Community Team - New and Revamped Systems - 4/8/10
Excluding, PvMP, Legendary Items and Radiance gear, what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised? Please list two and give a brief description of how you would revise/expand them.
I hardly know how to pick two. I have the list of 10 mentioned in the OP, all very important to me. :p
1. Cosmetic choices/control
a) cosmetic choices or slots for weapons and shields- I might prefer slots to some limited number of choices so that I can have complete control over the appearance of my gear.
b) refine and expand character models- women look too weak, dwarves waddle like ducks when they run, and characters in general look plastic compared to the beautifully rendered world around them. Body appearance seems to change from outfit to outfit, often in unflattering ways. I would like to be able to control more (all) aspects of my characters' appearance through an interface better than the Barber Shop.
2. Housing is way too limited and inflexible. We pay too much for too little. I'd like to see more flexibility in decoration placement and to be able to place more decorations. I'd also like to see more storage available.
If you could add an entirely new gameplay mechanic to LOTRO what would it be?
I'm with the others who would like to see some of the current gameplay mechanics fixed rather than coming up with a new one: namely LIs, itemization, radiance, trait lines, and combat responsiveness!
Name two activities in game that you never seem to have enough time to enjoy or would like to spend more time participating in.
1. Crafting perhaps, since it's hardly worth the trouble anymore.
2. Anything not involving LIs, since it's all I seem to do anymore (finding, leveling, deconning, skirmishing for runes, scrolls, and relics, instances for runes, relics, and Symbol of Exclusion- which I have yet to get- etc., etc., etc.)
Thank you for asking.

1. Virtues: The bonuses applied with virtues need to be revised. A good half of the virtues available rarely get used as they provide negligible benefit. An increase above the rank of 10 would be a start but perhaps something along the lines of virtue set bonuses, similar to Class Trait set bonuses, would provide a way of implementing a varied level of bonus which would allow players to make their toons more 'individual'.
2. Gear Set Piece Bonuses: Changes from 6 set piece bonuses down to 5 set piece bonuses is a good start in allowing player customisation but this could go a step further. Add Weapons, Cloaks and Jewellery into the mix so that there are additional avenues for gaining a particular set bonus. As well having bonuses available for different combinations of gear i.e. 2 x pieces of Set A = Bonus Z, 2 x pieces of Set B = Bonus Y, together they give an additional Bonus X.

1. Instances!!. I have plenty of time to run instances but there is little incentive of late - I don't play alts much so having worked my main up to the gear needed for raiding there is really no reason to continue running the few instances currently available.
2. Hobbies (or Hobby  ).

Re: Tell the Community Team - New and Revamped Systems - 4/8/10
Question 1
Excluding, PvMP, Legendary Items and Radiance gear, what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised? Please list two and give a brief description of how you would revise/expand them.
1. Crafting.
a. Any main-hand weapon that isn't an LI is junk, making 2 professions pretty pointless beyond LIs. Give Weaponsmiths and Woodworkers the ability to craft the damage-type titles. Maybe use the Compendiums as a component to keep them relatively uncommon.
b. Crafted armour is only useful until you acquire radiance set pieces. Give crafted armour set bonuses to make it competitive with sets. Most people are using the 10 Rad set when they aren't in BG. The 3-piece 15 and 25 sets are strictly for raid gating. Make crafted armour a viable non-raid set.
2. Traits.
Sets were a good idea, but not great in execution. For many classes, one of the sets is almost useless (I struggle to find 2 yellow traits to slot on my Hunter for the ICPR bonus that I do want). Some are redundant, like the Minstrel Yellow set. The 4 bonus improves 2 Tales... while the 5th bonus legendary is two entirely different Tales. If you trait to 5 for those Tales, you're getting nothing from the 4th bonus.
(I know you asked for 2, but I'll throw these in as they are important to me, but not as important as 1 and 2. I'll keep 'em short.)
3. Inventory.
It sucks, it's always sucked. You say, "Make choices!" and we say, "Stop adding junk we have to lug around with us!" New foods, class items, instruments, hides, ores, gems, crit items, scholar items, maps, potions, tokens, traveling rations, 3 kinds of gear medallions, 3 rep items per zone, 2 faction barter items per zone, 4 slotted LIs not equipped, and 6 pieces of rad gear take up a lot of space... and we have the same 5 packs we started with at launch. =|
4. Housing.
Scrap it and start over... or scrap it and add the vault space to our account-wide bank. It serves no other purpose than a bank with maintenance, atm.
Question 2
If you could add an entirely new gameplay mechanic to LOTRO what would it be?
A proper Kinship system would be entirely new to the game, since what we've got is mind-bogglingly bare, Would love to see kinship-wide bonuses. In another MMO, we had guild points from PvP. I think anything that awards Destiny Points now could award Guild Points. These could be spent on short term bonuses such as: 5-10% increase to xp from mob kills/coin drops for 48 hours, temporarily reduced swift travel prices, temporarily increased discount at housing vendors, reduced crafting inductions for 24 hours, bonus to crafting xp for 24 hours... Things that don't give an advantage in PvP or raiding, but inventive rewards the guild earns together and enjoys as a whole. We could also use a kinship 'dues' system to pay for kinship halls. Something painless and nearly invisible, like 2% of coin drops collected to a guild bank.
Also, an Alliance system. This should come with it's own chat channel exclusive to the kinships in the alliance. Player made channels with no ability to moderate are not enough.
Question 3
Name two activities in game that you never seem to have enough time to enjoy or would like to spend more time participating in. (Note: Things currently in game, not new activities or events.)
1. Festivals. I feel like they are practically over by the time I realize they are in. Increase the duration to a month (so the month of December is the Winter Festival) or always start them on the 1st of the month. Inserting them into the calender randomly ensures I'm not looking for them.
2. Deeds. There are a lot of fun titles, but I have 5 characters over L60. It would be great if the titles carried over across an account. It would be even better if credit for the first part of the slayer deed itself carried over, so my alts wouldn't have to do the 450 total kills for the virtue. They'd just have to complete the second half. (Please!! We need some short cuts for alts. Other MMO's I've played let alts jump to L20 once you had a main to level cap. This is very minor in comparison.)

Question 1
Excluding, PvMP, Legendary Items and Radiance gear, what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised? Please list two and give a brief description of how you would revise/expand them.
1.I am not sure anyone mentioned this but HOUSING
a. Free form placement would be nice but if you absolutely cannot do that then how about moveable hooks that you can place a variety of items on. If that's not possible then take a look at your own AC1 housing, you have for example 200 hooks but can only use 100 - at least that gives us more choices in placement.
b. More variety in items such as a usable table and chairs for group chats. A desk, chair and journal set that you can write at (allow more than one journal to be stored on the desk for those who like to write their characters story - what a great time sink that would be).
c. If keeping the hook system get rid of the small, large, special categories. For example a floor hook should be able to hold any rug, a furniture hook should hold all furniture, a wall hook.....well you get the idea. I am sure some things will look bad in certain situations but we can choose to accept the look or those can be address as they come up later.
d. Specialized storage options (could be craftable items) such as a wardrobe for cosmetic storage, a pantry for cooking/farming supplies, a shelf for potions, etc...
e. Expandable housing - add a room or basement to your kin house or deluxe house, or an small attic or cellar to your regular house(such as the basements in the guild houses in AC1). An instanced basement would be great for kin houses - not only giving more room but a place to provide a PRIVATE meeting place for your kin.
f. Upkeep was useful when someone actually lost their house but when you changed it so they are just locked then the reason for the upkeep went away. Now it just seems like a punishment. If you keep the upkeep system why not open up the houses who's owner hasn't logged in for 6 months or the rent hasn't been paid in 6 months (all items + a token for a new house to be placed in a non expiring escrow so it will all be there when/if they return). If they want to keep their location they just have to log in that character once every 6 months or have someone make a house payment every 6 months (go back to the old system where it doesn't accrue) this can be done for free on a welcome back weekend or they could have a friend pay the upkeep. Either way they would only lose their location.
g. Pets - nuff said
h. The ability to dye furniture - I would love to have some of those bookcases in a mahogany color to match other furniture in my house - or maybe someone wants to wash out the red canopy bed to match. I love the summer bed but the blanket is ugly - can't I have a blue quilt?
2.Crafting
a. Stop gating the recipes - yes the elves are stingy and selfish to keep these to themselves in this time of war, but couldn't they send out guild emissaries to teach kindred level crafter's that can't travel to their lands?
b. Don't tie crafting to a players level - yes it's nice to reward characters that are high level but not with something that shuts out a significant portion of the game for others. This includes sticking crafting items in high level instances/raids, why force someone to do something they dislike in order to do something they like - most will not do it and it just causes hard feelings, not to mention price gouging at the AH which only serves to tempt people to buy gold.
Question 2
If you could add an entirely new gameplay mechanic to LOTRO what would it be?
Bulk mailing or being able to research past Auction House transactions are the only thing that comes to mind
Question 3
Name two activities in game that you never seem to have enough time to enjoy or would like to spend more time participating in. (Note: Things currently in game, not new activities or events.)
1.Fishing - it's nice if you're looking for something to help you sleep.
2.There is alot of grinding between virtues, skills, rep, and more, it would be nice if a few of them (not all) counted account wide - so you only have to do it once but I'm probably dreaming about that - I must have been fishing.

Re: Tell the Community Team - New and Revamped Systems - 4/8/10
A1.1: Skirmish Inhancements.
I have come across Torahammas a few times, and thought, "it would be nice to be able to get that mob in a skirm, and be able to loot that fur," or been in the middle of Angmar wishing I had enough reputation to get a certain horse, so myself I wouldn't mind skirming daily skirmishes to get reputation or certain loots.
A1.2: The Deeding System.
Again, I'm going to think skirmishing. IF one finishes a particular deed, say the encounter deed for the Shire, then I would enjoy the ability to increase a virtue, like increasing Justice for defeating 100 Dourhands in the Siege of Gondamon skirmish.
A2: Who does what? (The ability to check on my alts)
I have 9/9 alts so far, and would like to check my alts from time to time without having to log, like when I'm in the middle of a dungeon, and somebody wants to know who all can use something. Adding another tab into the options to see what an alt's class/level/profession is would be nice.
A3.1:Horsemanship.
While I didn't particularly care for the betting aspect of horse racing, I do enjoy the Holiday Horse Racing circuits, and would enjoy it if one could mount up on one's own horse, go into a racing version of a skirmish, and be able to, with enough racing marks, purchase a special pet, or something cosmetic, for house or person, or maybe for a loremaster/captain, buy something cosmetic for their particular herald (without a change of armaments) or pet (without a change of necklace).
A3.2: Combat.
True, we have enough fighting going on as it is, but I would enjoy the opportunity to fight in an arena environment more often, but the only ones I know of are in dungeons (as a part of the dungeon) or or an instance (Sword Halls). Since they give only certain rewards, I would enjoy incentives to do the arena parts, including possibly challenging the "spectators" (orcs, olag-hai, et. al) for increased rewards/ different rewards.

Question 1
Excluding, PvMP, Legendary Items and Radiance gear, what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised? Please list two and give a brief description of how you would revise/expand them.
1. The kinship system - I would especially add kinship cloaks, an automatic way to display kinship members on the mini map (like group members, even if they aren't in the same fellowship), more options to add to the kinship house (more chests maybe :)
2. CRAFTING! Especially I'd like to see Epic One-Shot recipes like the ones you get when you advance your craft. On activating the recipes they start a quest chain where you need to collect different monster trophys to build a very strong item that is at least on par with the guild items.
Question 2
If you could add an entirely new gameplay mechanic to LOTRO what would it be?
Mounted Combat of course :)
Question 3
Name two activities in game that you never seem to have enough time to enjoy or would like to spend more time participating in. (Note: Things currently in game, not new activities or events.)
1. Instances - I don't have the time to play instances. I don't think you really can change something about it.
2. RPGing - Some more RP support would be nice even if I can't really tell you how it should work.

Re: Tell the Community Team - New and Revamped Systems - 4/8/10
Q1
1. Housing! The hook system is awful. We should be able to place objects where we would like them. Crafting stations available for home use would also be VERY appreciated... VERY! Last but not least, make kin-houses available for purchase. So many are sitting empty right now and plenty of people have the money for them. What good are all these cool housing items for if I don't have any room to display them? Surely the hardware can handle this.
2. Crafting. You guys got a huge backlash from woodworkers and weaponsmiths on LIs. Why not have players quest for items that would give them the legacies they want and give these crafters the ability to assemble them? The new relics opened the door here. Also, please no more steps backward like the level 65 2nd-ages or Mirk crafted armor (huge resource dump, ho-hum stats). There is no reason for players to become instantly super-rich by selling one looted symbol on auction.
Q2
Nothing. I'd rather see some time devoted to tracking down the same old bugs that pop up with every update. For example, the festival horse races have been broken every time for the last year.
Q3
1. Skirmishes. I want to upgrade my soldier, but he requires truckloads of the same precious points that get me all the cool stuff. What if I want to try a different type of soldier? Forget it! I understand that everything is a grind, but this is a bit much.
2. Grouping with new kinfolk. It just seems that high-level players don't spend much time doing anything with new players unless they have a level-appropriate alt and need the same things. There's too much grinding to be done to go repeating tons of quests for no reward. I also don't want new members feeling like they were carried through the content.
One last point I feel needs to be made: Be very careful what you choose to revamp. Sony was given a hard lesson with SWG as to how the community accepts big changes.

Question 1
Excluding, PvMP, Legendary Items and Radiance gear, what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised? Please list two and give a brief description of how you would revise/expand them.
The LFF system, especially GLFF. The game needs a GLFF channel that is only used for GLFF and a global chat channel that can be opted out of. The current GLFF performs both roles badly and swamps all others. To fix it, impose a cost on posting to GLFF. This could be a popup window asking "Do you really want to post to GLFF?" and could include a charge of, say, 5 silver for making a post. The aim should be to divert general chat to another channel.

Re: Tell the Community Team - New and Revamped Systems - 4/8/10
Question 1
Excluding, PvMP, Legendary Items and Radiance gear, what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised? Please list two and give a brief description of how you would revise/expand them.
1. Make a carpentry hobby. Have players help build at places like Thornleys work site which are constantly in need of repair.
After 10 levels, players can build a closet in their house that holds only cosmetic and house items. Every closet upgrade gives room for 20 items, every 10 levels. So 50 levels of carpentry and 100 item space. The closet upgrades costing 100-500s to build seems fair.
2. Also, figuring out a 'bind to account' for cosmetics and housing items that bind would make inventory space easier to manage. But NO 'bind to account' for any weapons or equipment that grant stats, please.
Question 2
If you could add an entirely new gameplay mechanic to LOTRO what would it be?
I'm not sure if this is exactly a mechanic or not, but I'll say this anyway. Make a selection to add/remove “Skirmish Text” to chat filters. As of now, I cannot figure out what skirmish info is being broadcasted from what filter, even with the colors set. Nothing I do seems to actively effect them, so all of my characters I have to look for skirmish text (some of it that I can't find is lieutenant notice, other alts don't get encounter notices, and only one character has been able to get the skirmish text showing the way I would prefer it.)
Question 3
Name two activities in game that you never seem to have enough time to enjoy or would like to spend more time participating in. (Note: Things currently in game, not new activities or events.)
1. Festivals. Any time I want to play with the festivals, it seems like I should either be bettering my alts or helping someone else.
2. Music. (And I think I want something to carry all of my musical instruments in too, I recently made my mini high-end instruments of every type to carry in my bags and switch out as my mood hits... and that's just for being in fights. If I'm playing actual songs, well, .abc files, I like switching out to make a song more soothing or annoying ;) )

Question 1
Excluding, PvMP, Legendary Items and Radiance gear, what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised? Please list two and give a brief description of how you would revise/expand them.
1. I would revise the level system as follows: http://forums.lotro.com/showthread.php?t=316986
2. I would revise the grouping/instance mechanics to allow for a feature similar to EQ2's and CoH's Mentoring and Sidekicking/Exemplar systems
Question 2
If you could add an entirely new gameplay mechanic to LOTRO what would it be?
Besides revamping the level system into a more streamlined experience system covered in my previous link, i would like to add a tertiary system, something outside of crafting or combat. Vanguard had 3 advancement systems: combat, crafting, diplomacy. Perhaps something along those lines that fits the world.
Question 3
Name two activities in game that you never seem to have enough time to enjoy or would like to spend more time participating in. (Note: Things currently in game, not new activities or events.)
1. Group content. While i love solo content to allow me to progress, there is not much of an incentive to group over solo. Alot of other games made it so grouping was one of the fastest/easiest ways to progress as a way to force player cohesion.
2. Raids. As it stands, there really isnt much of an incentive to play raids unless you have alot of kinmates with full rad gear. Now there are non-rad raids out there (rift, annuminas, haragmar), but you dont hear people looking for short term raid pugs for those. The rad gate has prevented me from geting to enjoy alot of whats out there at the higher levels, not just because of point 1, but because i simply do not wish to spend the time grinding for rad gear. Rad gear should be an extension, not a requirement

Question 1
Excluding, PvMP, Legendary Items and Radiance gear, what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised? Please list two and give a brief description of how you would revise/expand them.
1.revise old trait deeds , we are not restricted to those areas any more and usually just pass through for quests, killing 300 mobs to complete a deed is unrealistic now . lower them to 80/160 or lower. or give the credit to the account so you don't have to regrind the same deeds over and over 9 times.
2.expand the bard , make it so we can have a tab for favorite setups so we can go to the bard and do a quick switch between say DPS and Healing or add your favorite choices maybe 4 sets.
Question 2
If you could add an entirely new gameplay mechanic to LOTRO what would it be?
detect and slap GM , with an interactive mechanical hand sitting on their desk so they feel the full effects of it :P

1.I never have enough time to run 3000 SG runs a night to maybe win 1 roll on the symbol of cele
2.Have time to do much of anything because im always trying to get a lvl 65 2nd age symbol

1. Slaying deeds: For every alt on that server on that account that has already completed that deed, the amount needed is reduced by 25% (ie multiplied by 0.75, round up), So if I have completed Advanced Wormslayer Forochel on three alts on Brandy, the fourth will only need 0.75*0.75*0.75*300, namely 127 worms.
The maximum reduction for 8 alts that have completed the deed when deeding on alt number 9 will be about 1/10 of the full number.
Some slaying deeds would be excluded from this reduction, for example any and all PvMP slaying deeds, since they work as badges of achievement.
For that reason it is possible that the quantity reduction should only apply to the ''virtue' tier of the deed, the original 'title' tier of all slaying deeds should be unchanged in quantity, so in the original example the fourth alt in Forochel would still have to kill 150 worms to get 'Wrath of Winter' title.

I would add a toggle option that allow me to temporarily stop earning XP.
For example, on my captain I like skirmishes, but if I skirmish on him he will outlevel normal quests, so I don't skirmish :(
With such a toggle I could f.ex switch off XP at level 32, complete GA over a week or a few weeks, switch XP on again and go on my way to the Trollshaws.
City of Heroes introduced this mechanic back in '08 and it was very useful.

Question 1
Excluding, PvMP, Legendary Items and Radiance gear, what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised? Please list two and give a brief description of how you would revise/expand them.
1.Old instances need a scale option. This would create more content without actually creating more spaces. The Annuminas cluster is the one i feel most sorry for: Great instances that no one runs anymore. Scale it to 3 or 6 mans at level cap and scale the rewards also. Simple loot, some teals and maybe a chance of 2nd age symbol dropping.
2.Looking for Group tools. The current one is flawed. You should be able to pick up the instance you want to run and for what class. The current one limits to quests and i think most people would use this for instances and not quests.
Question 2

Kinship Alliance system. Dedicated chat and user-list with an in-game calendar or message board.

Question 1
Excluding, PvMP, Legendary Items and Radiance gear, what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised? Please list two and give a brief description of how you would revise/expand them.
1. Expand the benefits of virtues why is 10 still the max? the benefits need to increase with the level cap
2. Storage Bags on the person .. add another bag or make the present bags bigger
Question 2
If you could add an entirely new game-play mechanic to LOTRO what would it be?
Mounts - The entire Mount system could be expanded immensely.
Starting with an armor and benifit system based upon character type that allows the mount to be used in combat (Fight from horse-back). Horses would have to be healed...
--- Heavy armor mounts (Draft Horses) .. slower lethal mounts (has a trample attack, provides might/resistance benefits to the rider;
----Light mounts (Arabians), Very fast but less robust (provides moral (vitality) and power (will) buffs to the rider;
----Medium mounts (Quarter horses), fast, and more robust then light horses, provides fate and agility benefits to the rider (this horse might be used in stealth when properly armored).
Next - expand crafting by adding additional crafting types.. Blacksmith (Prospector, Metalsmith, Barder (equine armor crafter)) Groomer (Farmer, Cook, Vet (creates items beneficial to mounts and LM pets))
Finally create a system to improve your mount through quests and deeds .. creating a legendary-item type animal, an animal that grows with you once you've earned the animal
Oh... and no horseplay in PvMP (unless you allow defilers to ride wargs and spiders... And Reavers to ride BAs...)
Question 3
Name two activities in game that you never seem to have enough time to enjoy or would like to spend more time participating in. (Note: Things currently in game, not new activities or events.)

Question 1
Excluding, PvMP, Legendary Items and Radiance gear, what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised? Please list two and give a brief description of how you would revise/expand them.
1. Customization of crafted items ( Give master crafters a quest chain to obtain a set amount of recipes tha we could manipulate the looks and stats and PATENT the crafted item so that it was that individuals own creationand no one else could make it, but we would be able to sell it at auction house. of course put a cooldown timer on making the items)
2. I always seem to need more storage, especially since i basically have 2 main chars i play and the rest i have are crafting alts. I think doubling all of our stoarge capacities would help alot.
Question 2
If you could add an entirely new gameplay mechanic to LOTRO what would it be? my ideas are always coming from other games i play and lately i been playing farmville i think something in the line of co-op crafting would be interesting ( we are in a war and gear and supplies are needed in great amounts how to implement it. Have a board or sign at crafting halls that people could join up and make so many of said crafted item and earn rep towards buying and earning supplies to craft with along with titles and endless other options if you take time to hink about it.

Question 1
Excluding, PvMP, Legendary Items and Radiance gear, what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised? Please list two and give a brief description of how you would revise/expand them.
1.Housing. Free-form hooks please, or, at the very least, make all current hooks completely interchangeable and stop telling us where to put things in OUR homes.
2. Kinship longevity rewards system. Seriously, after Rank 7 there's nothing to look forward to except being able to have 1500 members (are there any kinships even approaching this number?).
These two things are interrelated for me as I believe the rewards for kinship longevity should be something that makes us want to utilize our kinhouse for more than a place to hang things and fill 3 more storage boxes, or a place to go when the ol' repair bill needs a bit o'reducin'.
I would love to see kinships able to gain access to crafting stations at their kinhouse (i.e. a kitchen for cooks, a study for scholars, workbenches and forges outside for those folk, and even a small usable garden for the kin farmers). Make them only accessible once a kin reaches a certain rank and put a pricetag on them (hell, give us kinship goals/deeds to complete as a group that could be tied into deed completion on the larger landscape).
Question 2
If you could add an entirely new gameplay mechanic to LOTRO what would it be?
Implement a "Sidekick" system such as City of Heroes has, whereby we can go and assist kin members or friends at level rather than zerging things, even when we try not to.
Question 3
Name two activities in game that you never seem to have enough time to enjoy or would like to spend more time participating in. (Note: Things currently in game, not new activities or events.)
1. Festivals. I usually get there on one toon, but the others I'm too busy with to go stomp shrews or whathaveyou.
2. Fishing...

Re: Tell the Community Team - New and Revamped Systems - 4/8/10
I've been playing only 3 months, but already I experince a great sense of being overwhelmed, so many things to do, craft, gain, and so on. You've done awsome job people, and I think it is a great game. But ther3e is always space for improvement so:
Question 1
Excluding, PvMP, Legendary Items and Radiance gear, what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised? Please list two and give a brief description of how you would revise/expand them.
1. HOUSING -turn it upside down, revamp completely, do all that was mentioned in previous posts and more.
But in the meantime, please do some simple yet very needed changes that don't require total revision:
a) Allow large/small furniture into special slot, change large bearskin rug into small floor, revise small/large furniture, some things are labeled large when they actually are rather small. More hooks!
b) There's so much stuff so putting in an additional storage space, if only for things housing and/or cosmetics would be awsome. Housing things should be bound to account, but if too hard at the moment, please make house containers like the shared vault space, you can put bound things in.
c) Put normal working facilities, without vendors even, into homesteads; it's hardest at the beginning and it would help the new players. And put a stable at the homesteads gate, so that it's easier to get back to town.
d) Make festival tokens and skirmish marks like relics, you can see them in UI but they don't clutter the inventory or chests.
2. CRAFTING- all that was mentioned before, make it more interesting and more needed. The LI system killed some proffesions, make them needed again.
And get rid of vocations, we should be able to choose all 3 crafts depending on our needs.
Question 2
If you could add an entirely new gameplay mechanic to LOTRO what would it be?
1) New hobbies- there's been plenty suggestions, but personaly painting comes to mind. It would use dyes made by scholars (and there could be more eg. sky blue is missing) and you would be able to get one of predefined pictures from a pool depending on the dyes nad skill level. Then you could put it on the wall in your house ;)
2) Mounted combat and all the craft connected to it. And thinking of riding - riding an eagle comes to mind. It would be great to have a skirmish/ instance/ quest (whatever) where we would be offered a chance to fly. Unless there is some and I just haven't come across it yet.
Question 3
Name two activities in game that you never seem to have enough time to enjoy or would like to spend more time participating in. (Note: Things currently in game, not new activities or events.)
1. Leveling, I'm torn between exploring all the aspects of the game and keeping pace with my friends. Would be nice to come back to old instances that I've outleveled and missed and have them scaled and do them at last.
2. Crafting. Mostly because it needs gathering components first. And its a bit boring to tell the truth ;)

Question 1
Excluding, PvMP, Legendary Items and Radiance gear, what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised? Please list two and give a brief description of how you would revise/expand them.
1. I think the Skirmish system could use a little more work. The soldiers seems to be....less than intelligent. Would be nice if they were more useful. Give us a bit more control over them with like a pet hotbar or something.
2. The pet systems. Example: Hunter/Loremaster. On my hunter, a master of the wilds, I don't feel very...hunter-y. I remember something from Dark Age of Camelot and I REALLY liked it. As a hunter there, you had the ability to charm an animal/insect. The only restrictions it had was you lost the charm when you A)zoned B) died and C)pet got killed. The other restriction was the pet did not level with you. So you had to go and charm another of comparable level. I'd leave the pet not leveling with you up for debate. It could go either way. I'm not saying make the pet like the godly ones in World of Warcraft. God please no. Hunters are awesome enough in this game. But give them a little more flavor and give us the option to charm or not. And make the pet just a side DoT. Something fun to see while we level. As for Loremaster pets...gods...please please please please please please please do SOMETHING with them. They are NOT useful. I got so frustrated with my Lore Master because the pet was just USELESS. If Lore Masters are going to be a pet class/support, give them SOME survivability with their pets so they can solo. The pets should be PROTECTING THE LORE MASTER! NOT BE CANNON FODDER! Up their health DRAMATICALLY. Make them REALLY TAUNT.
Question 2
If you could add an entirely new gameplay mechanic to LOTRO what would it be?
-If anything, I see all these little critters running around. How about for a new hobby, maybe allow a person to...I dunno...raise pets (non-combat?). Find a critter, train it to do tricks or something. OR...if you wanted to have all classes have some kind of battle critter, wash my idea from Question 1 suggestion 2, and have the person have the ability to train the pet to have greater health and combat abilities. A cool little hobby for those that would like to do it. *shrugs*
Question 3
Name two activities in game that you never seem to have enough time to enjoy or would like to spend more time participating in. (Note: Things currently in game, not new activities or events.)
-I don't think I can answer this quiet yet. I seem to have time for activities. I mean except for the dungeons which I wish I could solo (Great Barrow Downs, example).

Question 1
Excluding, PvMP, Legendary Items and Radiance gear, what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised? Please list two and give a brief description of how you would revise/expand them.
1. Skrimish System - Yes I know it is still new, but I think this is one of the best systems I have even seen. I do not wish you to change the Rift, Helegrod or Moria instances into Skrimishes. But it would be nice if you could add some more skrimishes into SOA and even a few into MoM. I am sure you will conintue to use skrimishes in the future books and areas as you expland the game. These are great
2. I would like to see more three man instances added or developed inthe future. The ones you did for SOM where a god send. I really missed the secert door quests in MoM beta. the ones where you collected gem shards then you had to run about and find the doors to match that color. I feel and area with a mixture of 3, 6, 12 and 24 man groupings makes for a great alround area.

If you could add an entirely new gameplay mechanic to LOTRO what would it be?
Question 3
Name two activities in game that you never seem to have enough time to enjoy or would like to spend more time participating in. (Note: Things currently in game, not new activities or events.)
1. Chicken Quests - I love the fun of this but there is always so much to do. Also if I remeber correctly the rewards are very small since it is just a side bar of the game.
2. Running Helegrod - It is a great instance but it is just difficult to get 24 toons to go. OK you no longer need 24 toons because of level but still difficult.

Question 1
Excluding, PvMP, Legendary Items and Radiance gear, what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised? Please list two and give a brief description of how you would revise/expand them.
1. Have the option to "rollback" your toon to an earlier time so you can join lower level people in instances or just questing. It's no fun running Great Barrows with a 65 toon ... give us the option of reliving earlier days to repeat fun parts of the game.
2. Add cosmetic weapons (the same way you can equip cometic armour) or a away to customize the appearance of your weapon.
Question 2
If you could add an entirely new gameplay mechanic to LOTRO what would it be?
Allow crafters to open a retail shop for their wares. Or perhaps allow a kinship to open a craft shop that all of their members can consign items to ... with the kinship taking a percentage of the price.
Question 3
Name two activities in game that you never seem to have enough time to enjoy or would like to spend more time participating in. (Note: Things currently in game, not new activities or events.)
1. Mithril flake dropper hunting.
2. 3 man content.

Question 1
Excluding, PvMP, Legendary Items and Radiance gear, what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised? Please list two and give a brief description of how you would revise/expand them.
1. Housing - needs to be free form placement down with hooks and limited placement of items. I have beautiful housing items but nowhere to place them. I can't even put a table next to a chair.
2. Difficulty slider for raids would be nice for those who are bad at raiding or don't have time to raid. This way more people could enjoy higher end content.
Question 2
If you could add an entirely new gameplay mechanic to LOTRO what would it be?
Let me reroll my profession without losing my virtues, my housing items, my house etc. I feel like I'm stuck in my current profession. For example, I have my guardian but I want to switch her to burg. I don't mind leveling her burg skills but I don't want to start completely over and lose my house, my housing items. There has to be a better way to change professions in this game (especially since new ones have been added). I'd even pay RL money to do this or put a time limit on it before you can switch again.
Question 3
Name two activities in game that you never seem to have enough time to enjoy or would like to spend more time participating in. (Note: Things currently in game, not new activities or events.)
1. Inn league quests take a long time to do and get boring. Need more interesting things for this.
2. Horse races need shorter cool-downs if you fail. Waiting for an hour in between runs is VERY time consuming. I always have trouble in the Bree race-track with a laggy spot so it takes me forever to win this race. Decreasing the time between attempts would be most helpful.

Re: Tell the Community Team - New and Revamped Systems - 4/8/10
I have never posted on the forums here before, but this issue matters to me so here I am. I had to add my vote- more hooks in houses and PLEASE eliminate the distinctions of "special", "small, "large" furniture to give us more flexibility. PLEASE?
<chanting> more hooks, more hooks, more, hooks. :D

Re: Tell the Community Team - New and Revamped Systems - 4/8/10
Question 1
Excluding, PvMP, Legendary Items and Radiance gear, what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised? Please list two and give a brief description of how you would revise/expand them.
1.Fervour/Focus systems: Revise to match attunement system of RK, where higher fervour/focus levels enable more powerful skills. With cooldowns, there is no need for double bottlenecks within the combat system. If originality is the issue, maybe there could be certain skills that use the pips and bonus dmg is based on the # of pips; pips would be expended after using such a skill.
2.Virtues seem to be unbalanced. Some mechanics exist and others don't. For example, things like Fire/Frost/Lightning mitigation, In Combat Power Regen, or lower chance to be B/P/E.
Question 2
If you could add an entirely new gameplay mechanic to LOTRO what would it be?
PvMP Skirmishes. (Try PvMP on Elendilmir; its a mess!)
Question 3
Name two activities in game that you never seem to have enough time to enjoy or would like to spend more time participating in. (Note: Things currently in game, not new activities or events.)
1.Farming/Cooking (Processing time is too long)
2.Fishing

Re: Tell the Community Team - New and Revamped Systems - 4/8/10
Question 1
Excluding, PvMP, Legendary Items and Radiance gear, what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised? Please list two and give a brief description of how you would revise/expand them.
1. Housing system. Totally broken as is. I have a bed, a table, and two large animal statues - meaning I can only display three of them at present? Why not let us design our own house interior, or cram as much stuff inside as we want? How about dig a hobbit hole as deep as we want. If you are going to offer all these extra housing "goodies" in the festivals as incentives, what sense does it make not to be able to display or store them?
2. Clothing. Why only two alternate outfits? If one wants to roleplay, I'd like to have one for the really cold (Forochel, Misty Mountains), one for day temperate, one for when the sun goes down, party wear, etc. Also, an option that hides the weapons. Not very nice to walk into a bar and take off your cloak, etc., and still have two giant crossbows, swords, lanced etc. strapped to you.
Question 2
If you could add an entirely new gameplay mechanic to LOTRO what would it be?
IRONMAN MODE. All the tangible evidence of this would be the title IRONMAN or something similar in the character title. You would get it by disabling the Quest Guide. The second you enabled the Quest Guide, for any reason, you would instantly lose it, and could only regain it after, say, completing 10 quests without using the tracker. If you ever used it again, same thing, you lost it. Same thing with the "GPS" giving your location (or the command where you can ask for your location (/loc ?). If you ever use them, you lose the IRON MAN title. It would be a simple change to make, would only effect those that wanted to use it, would not make the game harder for anyone that didn't want it to be harder, but I personally would find enough incentive in it to turn off all the other finding aids, while at the same time making the game much more challenging and less "nerfed" than it is now.
And for those in the know, it would be a considerable "bragging right", I think.
Perhaps enable some other rewards, like special clothing, weapons, etc. or other incentives.
It just seems like the game is getting easier and easier in an attempt to get new players in. I've had the game for 18 months. I've been buying all the additions. I've been subscribing the whole time. But I'm not rushing them. Took me 5 months to get into Moria after I bought it. I got Mirkwood on release day but I've never even seen it yet. I've still never seen Lothlorien. I am ENJOYING myself and am tired of seeing the game dumbed down every time I turn around. Don't worry, I'll keep buying the additions, just stop rushing me. I created one main character when I bought the game, and he is still only Level 54.
So an IRON MAN MODE might be an incentive for the guys like me to keep at it. A little bragging right and way to slow down, otherwise, people feel pressured to level up through 65 and just quit because its been made so easy for the newcomers its not fun anymore.
Question 3
Name two activities in game that you never seem to have enough time to enjoy or would like to spend more time participating in. (Note: Things currently in game, not new activities or events.)
1. I'm a solo player, so while I got a farmer levelled up in the crafting system, I never managed to get a scholar or metal worker or anything else done up because they require interactions with others. That's not a complaint. If there was some way to do this with NPCs - even if a high random chance of failure - it might drive me to get active into it. I do belong to a kinship but it was never set up for the crafting so we don't do that aspect.
2. I'm keen to see more "hobbies" beyond fishing, though I'm not sure what you might have in mind. Given the housing system, any tangible thing like - I don't know - "whittling" :) - you'd have no place to put anyway. Mostly I'm very satisfied with the game experience as is, just stop dumbing it down. Everything is becoming so EASY to do. I really struggled hard to get up to level 35, buy my first horse, save money, get from point to point, these all felt like accomplishments. Giving away accomplishments just makes the older players feel like they wasted their time. Getting around Middle Earth is supposed to be an adventure, not as easy as getting on a bus.

Question 2
If you could add an entirely new gameplay mechanic to LOTRO what would it be?
Allow the amount of exp you want to gain to be modified. For instance, I'm currently leveling my 9th (and probably final) alt. I can't stand level once I get to the point where it takes more than a couple hours of questing to level. In contrast to that, there are people who feel leveling takes too long, allow them to stop their experience bars from advancing.
Question 3
Name two activities in game that you never seem to have enough time to enjoy or would like to spend more time participating in. (Note: Things currently in game, not new activities or events.)
1.None. I play a lot, so I finish practically anything that I want to finish.
2.See above.
P.S. These ask the community threads are useful imo

Question 1
Excluding, PvMP, Legendary Items and Radiance gear, what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised? Please list two and give a brief description of how you would revise/expand them.
1. Skirmishes: I believe you could attract more players into the Skirmish system by allowing deeds to be completed through skirmish marks. It would help alleviate some of the grind of the current deeding system.

Question 1
Excluding, PvMP, Legendary Items and Radiance gear, what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised? Please list two and give a brief description of how you would revise/expand them.
1.The mail system - mailing items between characters is currently a horrible experience. The number of items you can mail at once needs to be expanded. On a side note, the crafting hall in Bree needs a mail box.
2. The "broken leg" mechanic. Falling should do damage, not hobble you. Perhaps it could remain but only go into affect when you have aggro. There's no reason I should have to suffer through a debuff like that while I'm out in the middle of nowhere and jumped off a tiny bump in the ground. At the very least, get rid of that CRUNCH sound. /shudder
Question 2
If you could add an entirely new gameplay mechanic to LOTRO what would it be?
Scaleable mounts - mounts should get tougher and gain more hp as you level. 100/150 hp mounts are about useless in many situations as you level. For the price we pay, mounts should be able to take more than a stiff breeze before you lose them.
Question 3
Name two activities in game that you never seem to have enough time to enjoy or would like to spend more time participating in. (Note: Things currently in game, not new activities or events.)
1. Grouping -- In the two months or so I've played, grouping opportunities have been few and far between.
2. I'd like to eventually get around to seeing some of the instances I've missed fighting in.

1. Housing housing housing...the one that I'm sure is popping up on every page here. More customization is the key.
2. Hobbies should be expanded. I don't know many people who have fooled with fishing since it came out (even with it being slightly revamped recently), but a useful new hobby would be nice to see.

Question 3

1. Group skirmishes...I'd love to do more, but I think people still don't feel like the rewards justify doing much group skirmishing.
2. SoA Fellowship quests, particularly in Angmar and Annuminas--it is well nigh impossible to get an on-level group for these now so I only got to enjoy a few of them on one character before Moria came out.

Housing! No more hooks, no more limits on what can be placed in it.

Re: Tell the Community Team - New and Revamped Systems - 4/8/10
Question 1
Excluding, PvMP, Legendary Items and Radiance gear, what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised? Please list two and give a brief description of how you would revise/expand them.
1.Housing. This is one of the main gripes I do have with the game, LOTRO has an huge expansive world, yet when I go to my house I feel claustrophobic in a way. Everything is so limited. On the second server which I started characters and now mainly call my home on LOTRO I haven't even bothered with it because the thought of the limitations that are forced upon me make it so I just don't want to bother anymore.
Housing systems like Everquest II and SWG are more of what I have in mind when it comes to a housing system in a game, I pay subscriptions to both of those just because of the expansive housing system that they have in place. On a scale of MMOs for housing I really put LOTRO last, I even feel that FFXI has more enjoyable housing, at least there if I want to cram it full of stuff I can, sure there are limitations as to the number of items but it never feels empty and at least they allow me to put it where I want it.
Also it always bothers me that there seems to be such a gripe from the playerbase of the system this game has in place for the housing and nothing has ever been done. I believe that this thread has proved that there seems to be an overwhelming majority that feel the current housing is not sufficient and it would be nice to see effort put in place for improvement on something that is so wanted by the players.
2.I also have to agree with the scaling on the older raids/instances. I have never gotten all the way to max level in the few years I have played LOTRO (I get distracted easily) and to be able to experience and revisit this content as it was before expansions would be great.
Question 2
If you could add an entirely new gameplay mechanic to LOTRO what would it be?
A mentoring system, once again revisiting EQ2 and the system that they have in place with mentoring, being able to scale down to match lower levels you are grouped with, also being able to "mentor" yourself and temporarily put your level down so you are able to go back and visit lower level content that you have passed by previously.
Question 3
Name two activities in game that you never seem to have enough time to enjoy or would like to spend more time participating in. (Note: Things currently in game, not new activities or events.)
1. Fishing. I like being able to catch numerous fish and use them on my cook to make various usefull foods. Many other MMOs that I have played seem to have more uses for the fishing catches for the higher leveled fishermen in the game (aka in game profit) especially for cooks. I just don't feel there is as much of a use for the few fish that are caught and not venndor trash. Not necessarily an abundance of useful fish to be in the lower tiers of fishing, but once you've put so much time into leveling the hobby up I feel that there could just be more of a reward involved (once again aka in game profit)
2. Other fluff activities, festivals, RP activities, mainly more things that have nothing to do with necessarily getting to max level as fast as possible.

Re: Tell the Community Team - New and Revamped Systems - 4/8/10
Question 1
Excluding, PvMP, Legendary Items and Radiance gear, what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised? Please list two and give a brief description of how you would revise/expand them.
1. HOUSING: Improve it please. We are begging. We will love our little pieces of LOTRO even more. We will feel ownership instead of frustration every time we visit our homes. And make visiting easier. Put fast horse stables outside every housing instance. And for goodness sakes, lower the cool down on mapping home, or to our kinhalls.
Let there be a muster stone at housing so that we can visit one another easier. We will build communities, dynamic active communities, if travel to and from becomes less of a hassle. And maybe an option to visit homes where you have permissions easier? I would love to be able to have an OPEN HOUSE Event to visit people, but getting to and from the housing areas is just too much trouble.
For some excellent player feedback, see featured player Fionnuala's excellent blog and the myriad of responses at:
http://my.lotro.com/fionnuala/2010/0...as-on-housing/
2. COSMETICS: Give me red hair for my Elf: true red. Yes, it exists in the LORE for Elves. Look around NPC elves have brilliant red hair. Same comment for true white instead of that dull gray we can use now.
I know completely reskinning our character models is resource-intensive, so just redo the palette and add more hairstyles that do not make us look like we are wearing helmets. Go steal some of your art for DDO. THEY have good hair. And male Elves and Dwarves get better hair than the females. Really? Really? O why....
Question 2
If you could add an entirely new gameplay mechanic to LOTRO what would it be?
ANSWER: The ability to have a crafter make storage items that we can then place in our homes comes to mind, but ok, just one really new game mechanic? How about letting our characters on one account share certain benefits with one another? Like some deeds, and their gold. I have to spend money to send money to my own characters? I do not see how sending gold across one account would help gold sellers, so why else limit it? We share destiny points, but not other resources? Shareable storage was a start. Now rethink how that could be expanded into other others across one account.
Question 3
Name two activities in game that you never seem to have enough time to enjoy or would like to spend more time participating in. (Note: Things currently in game, not new activities or events.)
1. FISHING: This has so much possibility! For now, is just a teaser that feels like it ALMOST got enough attention from the devs to be worthy of game time. I would like to explore it more just to get the big trophies, but could be even better!
2. EXPLORING: One of my favorite things to do, but so little time.
-
Re: Tell the Community Team - New and Revamped Systems - 4/8/10
Question 1
1. Allow a character to choose the 3 crafting types and consider adding a couple more. To control it, make each craft harder to learn but it would allow those interested in crafting to dig deeper, have a little more fun and options.
2. Make items that are rare really rare. Shards, precious metals, etc have been increased to the point that they are not rare. People brag about aquiring 4+ mithril flakes in an hour and so on. This just inflates the economy and makes high value items less valuable.
3. Find a use for all items you can manufacture... spider silk thread could be used to replace any thread perhaps; black ash heartwood could be used to make a stronger or special bow.
4. Finished products should be worth more to a vendor than unfinished. Not asking for a large amount, but in the case of any item the sum of two lumps value made into a ingot plus the small increase for manufacturing say 10% would be nice. This would keep you from loosing money too when leveling up a craft.
Question 2
1. Mounted combat including missle weapons.
2. More craft types.
Question 3
1. Fishing - not enough return however.
2. Scholar activites - time investment and return is low, somewhat lack luster. Perhaps more availability of artifacts other than just ruins; more scrolls to game items adds.
Thank you for the chance to respond. Of all the OnLine games, LOTRO is the best. People go off to others and always come back.

1. Legen...ummm I mean the housing system, make it a meaningful social experience. Have some sort of draw -- perhaps repeatable social quests, or make it easier for players to organize and host events.
2. The content release system, let's see fewer and less dramatic bugs or undocumented changes at each release. It appears on this side of the monitor as if you are not using a content management process to ensure the integrity and consistency of code sets. It feels like you guys really don't get what it does to your customer base when really simplistic breaks (such as the festival horse vendor) occur and then take months to fix. Any service provider has a limited pool of goodwill with it's customer base, and you've really dipped into yours.

1. Gambling! Well, ok, a merchant system. Get rid of all the NPC weapon/armor vendors (come on, look at their sales figures!) and allow kins to create shops in the usual player concentration points. A kin could be allowed to set up a shop and stock it with items/weapons/armour/food etc crafted by it's members. Then add housing and cosmetic quests that allow semi-custom items to be made. Example -- create a fantastic set of cosmetic armor, but make it undyable. A kinship could complete a few quests to allow them to craft it with their unique color combination, put it up for sale to the unwashed masses. Or gambling!

1. I'd like to spend more time running content with at-level groups and less time finding said groups.
2. I'd like to spend more time not skirmishing. Fun for the first few times each, then just a bloody grind. Yet necessary for a raider because of the Scrolls of Empowerment. You have thus linked end-game raiding to tedious grinding, and I'd rather have that time for exploration or socializing...or for that matter visiting a half-drunken dwarf who failed as a mine equipment inventor and so is testing his latest dental invention. Open up, say Ahhh...rrrrrgggggGGG!

Question 1
Excluding, PvMP, Legendary Items and Radiance gear, what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised? Please list two and give a brief description of how you would revise/expand them.
1. Lvl 65 Legen... I mean Housing and Inventory; It would be nice if the way you can display things worked like the housing systems in Everquest 2 or Starwars Galaxies. Having different floor plans would be nice also. Personal and housing inventory has always been an issue. I thought it would help by adding the keyring, but more things to store were added at the same time, like skirmish marks, so I ended up with even less space. There should be seperate bags for non-equipable items or even some other windows added that tells you how many of each item you have, like; festival tokens, skirmish marks, tokens from instances, title scrolls, the slotted Legendary items, etc... It would also be nice to have a place to equip food to get it out of the bags as well. ...And you could let us expand bags as well, to give us more space. Please consider this.
2. Armor; I would love to see more armor options, Every Tier of armor uses the same model for the armor. It would be nice if every set was diffierent beyond just a color change. Adding aditional armor for more choices would be nice as well, especially level 60 and up. There are so little choices after 60 unless you Raid which I am unable to do most of the time.
Question 2
If you could add an entirely new gameplay mechanic to LOTRO what would it be?
Adding the ability to upgrade or level up your mounts. Add armour for mounts (visible and has stats), mounts do damage like stampede mobs and knockdown.
Question 3
Name two activities in game that you never seem to have enough time to enjoy or would like to spend more time participating in. (Note: Things currently in game, not new activities or events.)
1. Raiding; I would love to enjoy Helgrod and the Rift and all the other 12 man raids (as well as their rewards), but I just don't have the time to put into those, or when I do, I can't find a group to go with me. Make them scalable for smaller groups or do what was implimented in the book quests, so if you are alone you get extra buffs. I want to finish these quests, but I can't the way it is. Make the rewards different if you don't 12 man raid it, just make it all custume rewards.
2. Gathering at inns or Kin houses should give you some kind of benefit. 1-2 hour buffs, some incentive for people to hang out there. Minstrals playing on stage... etc.

Question 1
Excluding, PvMP, Legendary Items and Radiance gear, what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised? Please list two and give a brief description of how you would revise/expand them.
1. Housing - take a look at EQ2's system (freeform placing, oodles of furniture design, no instanced neighborhoods)
2. Crafting - Make it independent from adventuring. There are MMO players who play primarily not to adventure but to become master tradesmen, renowned not for fighting prowess but for real skill at being able to craft the finest goods for the community. This game does not support that sort of player in any way, and crafting is pretty much relegated to bored adventurers here. I have leveled two supreme craftsmen here and feel no desire at all to level more (in my previous game I was a master craftsmen of all trades so its not because I don't like crafting, its just that I feel no reward here for doing so.)
Question 2
If you could add an entirely new gameplay mechanic to LOTRO what would it be?
A mentor/sidekick system. I would love it if I could actually play my main with low level friends rather than breaking out a dusty alt that I'm not really good at playing. :p

Question 1
Excluding, PvMP, Legendary Items and Radiance gear, what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised? Please list two and give a brief description of how you would revise/expand them.
1. Another voice for revmaping the Housing system.
2. Hobbies, separate flowers from farmers and start a gardening hobby. This would fit in with lore, particulalry with hobbits and elves. And smoke-ring blowing. Not smoking per se, but making figures from smoke rings which appears the books and as I recall the films. This owuld give farmers a reason to grow pipe-weed and you could add making pipes to the woodcrafters

Re: Tell the Community Team - New and Revamped Systems - 4/8/10
1) The Skirmish system needs to be able to grab players across the server of the same level of difficulty that wish to join a larger skirmish (in terms of people). This also encourages interaction between players, unlike where I play virtually solo except for when my cousin gets on.

1. (Tie my hands why don't you!)
DEEDS! It's a good start but some lower level deeds are unbalanced--Not enough in the said area, E.g. Slugs in the Shire! There is always someone out there stealing my killz!
QUEST LOG INFORMATION!--Some quests are NOT soloable that "say" they are, some fellowship quests I can do on my Minstrel! (meaning they're not really Fellowship quests unless my mini can pwn all which is very untrue cause...NVM)
2. ETTENMOORS COSMETICS! Let's face it, if the creeps want to know what level we are, then they can just select/target us. It's how the freeps see what rank a creep is cause not all the creeps use their Current level skin Trait. Infact because Freeps don't have a Cosmetic option that puts us at a Disadvantage because the creeps can see what type of armour we're wearing and target the less fortunate.
3. SKIRMISH! I just don't do them. I get some cosmetic stuff from them but nothing else really. The book quest lines don't encourage me to level my Soldier because I can basically solo the required skirmish. Infact my soldier rarely keeps up with me. The whole cost/benefit/enjoyment ratio is quite off. I would like to run the skirmishes but it's no different than the PvMP. At least in PvMP there is the Thrill of death... well the fact I'm being challenged by an actual person.
PvMP!Creep side is a grind but awesome social aspects are why I even come back. Freep side, well I've earned my level, my gear (enough to be out in the Moors anyway), my deeds (no not really), and my items... I don't want to waste time just grinding out for the stuff that gives me that supposed "edge" in end-game content. I want to put it to use against enemies that think! NOT AI though, we could end up like the Terminator, and I don't want that to be Turbine's fault :D (while I'm at it, How about a ranged damage attack for the Burglar? HMmmmm?!)

Re: Tell the Community Team - New and Revamped Systems - 4/8/10
Question 1
Excluding, PvMP, Legendary Items and Radiance gear, what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised? Please list two and give a brief description of how you would revise/expand them.
1. Player Models/General Graphics -- Don't get me wrong, the graphics in LotRO are stunning, but the character models seem cartoony and out of place in an otherwise "realistic" (trolls and drakes excluded) setting. This game prides itself on having the most memorable and breathtaking landscapes in the MMO genre. Let's extend that to the player models themselves. More realistic hair and cloth physics, robes that actually flow as you move, cloaks and and swords that don't clip with each other, sheathes for weapons, realistic facial structures... All of these things are just a fraction of the potential we could unleash with the system we already have.
2. Housing -- This is one area that I believe was a great idea at first, but implemented poorly because of the available resources at the time. A free-form housing system would be preferable, not necessarily with custom housing placement, but definitely with custom-furniture positioning. In addition, more housing trophies (stuffed drakes, etc.) would increase interest in the system. More storage would be desirable, and considering the initial and continued cost to utilize a house, it would be more than fair. What about rewards for owning a house for a set period of time? "Gifts" from the housing community? There is much untapped potential when it comes to this.
Question 2
If you could add an entirely new gameplay mechanic to LOTRO what would it be?
Tavern Revelries and/or Gambling
Question 3
Name two activities in game that you never seem to have enough time to enjoy or would like to spend more time participating in.
1. I'd really like to join the PvMP scene more than I currently do, but just can't find the motivation to get out there, and sometimes I feel there is just too much else to do and PvMP is not all that rewarding in comparison.
2. Deeds -- It's almost a necessity to get all relevant virtues to rank 10, but the thought of grinding out 300 more trolls/worms makes my skin crawl. The fact that I have to do this with each toon makes me that less motivated to start a new one.

Re: Tell the Community Team - New and Revamped Systems - 4/8/10
Question 1
Excluding, PvMP, Legendary Items and Radiance gear, what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised? Please list two and give a brief description of how you would revise/expand them..
1. Housing (Personal & Kinship). As others have said, more options, being able to manouver things within, & being able to upgrade them.... adding crafting areas in the housing areas...more storage....fun buffs for gathering there.
2. More options for kinships: more ranking options, custom ranks/permissions, being able to send multiple attachments in the mail to members, being able to add player notes on others (or even officers being able to make player notes for others -helps with many alts), .
Question 2
If you could add an entirely new gameplay mechanic to LOTRO what would it be?
Ingame pets! :D I would love to be able to have a bluebird or cat or bunny or even some other kinda funny pet follow me around or just bring it out while chatting with friends, or playing music. Currently, I do enjoy my LM getting to bring out her bunny, or turtle, & such, but my other alts are jelous. :P They could be a part of festivals (which I love) or exploring or fishing, or things like that. :D
Question 3
Name two activities in game that you never seem to have enough time to enjoy or would like to spend more time participating in. (Note: Things currently in game, not new activities.
1. Relaxing stuff like the fishing, music, festivals, freeze tag, & chicken quests
2. Instances. Most of the time I don't have enough time to get through an entire instance in 1 play time. By the time we get the people together, & get 1/2 through, I've got to log. Still they are great & I love the way the story flows in with all of them!
Thanks for the opertunity to let ya know what we are thinking!

Re: Tell the Community Team - New and Revamped Systems - 4/8/10
Question 1
1. Character Models- Enivronment wise lotro looks great everything feels and looks like middle-earth... except for the characters. who definitlly seem like the engine used to render them is a generation older than everything else in the game. They just feel very plastic.
2. Kinship functionality- Kinships at the moment are just friendlists. It would be cool if, for instance, if enough members of a kinship, say 20%, finished the deeds in a zone or instance the whole kinship would recieve a small bonus. They could include special items with local vendors, +xp or drops, or titles.
Question 2.
It would be really great since the team has a lot of experience with scaling encounters now if they would make old SoA instances scalable to level say 50;55;60;65 versions of each. They would of course have appropriate rewards for the level they are completed at.
Question 3.
1. Festivals
2. Rep with pre-moria factions.

Re: Tell the Community Team - New and Revamped Systems - 4/8/10
1). Housing...I would like to see more player interaction with housing brought to the game in terms of allowing higher lvl players at some point to build crafting tables and ovens in thier personal house and craft at home. From what i gather players are only using thier house for storage, I try to interact in my house all the time. Allowing people to grow personal gardens at home would be great. Maybe this would bring people home from the grind and you can go outside and see a neighbor or two in the neighborhood instead of a dead empty instance. I like to fish in my back yard in the lake and would love to be able to fish there and bring them in and cook with my chief.
2). Mybe somehow allow combat while mounted? A skill that you would have to train and aquire like all other skills and become proficient at for accuracy.
3). All other stuff is GREAT!! I LOVE THIS GAME!!!

Re: Tell the Community Team - New and Revamped Systems - 4/8/10
Two things come to mind: 1) Angmar of the endless quests is not made any better because someone decided to go fellowship happy up there. Do you know how very nearly impossible it is to put together fellowships up there? 2) The level fifty quest is ridiculous! Two pages of ingredients? Many of them of to be gotten from Elite's and ones that require a fellowship pretty much guaranteeing that anything you need will got to someone else and goes back to find help in Angmar in the first place since many of them must be gotten from Angmar in the first place. Geez Marie, what was someone thinking? And lastly, just outta of curiousity why is swift travel tied to reputation in Angmar and in Forochel, to me at least it is the silliest notion I've ever seen.

Question 1
Excluding, PvMP, Legendary Items and Radiance gear, what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised? Please list two and give a brief description of how you would revise/expand them.
First off, I hope since LI's, Rad gear, and PVMP are off limits you got some good feedback and are actually making changes in these areas. As for this first question, I think I answered it recently in the 3/18/2010 thread:

1. What parts of the game do you feel have been underdeveloped, unfinished or unpolished? Please list 3 and why you feel this way and what you'd like to see done to remedy the situation.
1. Housing. Needs a major upgrade. Along with craftable furniture (more items + recipes please.) A place to keep Bound armor sets that we worked very hard for and don't want to trash (preferably armor stands, so we can show them off too.) A wardrobe for each character to keep bound cosmetics in. A weapon rack like the amour stands. The option to add rooms, stables etc to our house with incorporated crafting gates to access these rooms (do it yourself or higher someone.) Ideally no more hook system, just a free form placement. Crafting stations and maybe a vendor in your home or kin house. A bonus buff for logging off in your house. There have been so many good ideas mentioned in these forums, why not take a hint and get to it, make housing more than a bank I have to port to.
2. Racial traits (and maybe traits in general) These haven't been touched since SoA. Yeah I know they got a minor boost in SoM, but the ones that no one slotted still remain unslotted, and the ones that are slotted have seen minimal gains. I know SoM was the "re-set button" from MoM, but seriously going forward we need these to be buffed and added onto.
1. Since 90% of these posts mention housing I'd say you have plenty to go off of. Lots of good links and ideas in this thread.
2. I'm going ahead and saying Traits and Virtues in general as number 2. Nothing fun about the grind, For the most part there are 4-5 must haves depending on class and other than that there's little reason to have the useless ones. Racial traits need a real update. Add in homeland traits, so we get another set of bonuses to play with depending on where our character comes from. Make Radiance a trait acquired at the same time you obtain an armor piece that would have radiance on it (oops I said radiance!) Maybe even consider taking set bonuses off of armor and making them traits that you acquire by acquiring various armor pieces. That would be amazing, So you don't like the 5 cap for the new BG set? No problem, equip your 6/6 VM Set Bonus Trait. You earned it right? Use it! (Plus this will keep people running older instances to acquire armor for set bonus traits! Yay another grind!) And please let's get above the 10 cap. If I have 15 Determination let me use it. Stats are capped at 650 anyway, and maybe if I could get more mileage out of traits and I wouldn't want to shove my head in an anthill whenever I think about the (downgrade) loot from BG.
Question 2
If you could add an entirely new gameplay mechanic to LOTRO what would it be?
I dunno, work on fixing everything else first.
Maybe pack horses/mules/ponies. A skill that can summon a storage container that looks like a packhorse/mule/pony. This would be most useful for crafters. In fact I'd say only let certain types of pack animals cary certain things. Pack Mules for crafting mats, Pack Horses for armour and weapons and Ponies for pots/foot/tokens/misc useful things. Pack Horses and Mules should be toon specific but it would be great to have the Pony be like shared storage, so all grouping/raid mats could be called up by any toon on an account, instead of having to go to a bank/mail from one char to another/transfer through a friend.
EDIT: OK I just though of one totally stupid fun thing. Let us change what our Skirmish soldier's warcries. Like instead of "To arms!" I want my soldier to say "For the glory of Noldor!" or something. Just another little customizable thing...
Question 3
Name two activities in game that you never seem to have enough time to enjoy or would like to spend more time participating in. (Note: Things currently in game, not new activities or events.)
The thing is time isn't an issue for me really. It's motivation. Risk/reward is out of whack.

Re: Tell the Community Team - New and Revamped Systems - 4/8/10
Question 1
Excluding, PvMP, Legendary Items and Radiance gear, what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised? Please list two and give a brief description of how you would revise/expand them.
1.Kinship Tools/House:
A good kinship keeps players having fun and active, we need better tools to do that. If we could keep members more informed ingame and able to gather at the kin house, this would go a long way to improving kin activities. Better kin tools = longer active subs!
Ideas: Longer/more detailed MOTDs, REMOVE the cooldown timer on recalling to kin house, a calendar for scheduling kin activities, kin house bank for crafting materials/officers only, remove cooldown timers on kin house portal items (kegs and make more portal items please!), special kinhouse items or rewards for doing things together.
example: kin guilded cooks get together for a week or 2 and cook ingredients/a special food that buffs the whole kin for 1 week, like more skirm marks reward, hope and run buffs, reduction of slayer deed kills needed (a 2 for 1 kill kind of buff)
2. Avatar generation/Cosmetics: we need more options/styles on character generation for all races, more hair styles, facial and body markings, facial types. Also more cosmetic items for outfits! We want to create different looks and outfits! Please!
Question 2
If you could add an entirely new gameplay mechanic to LOTRO what would it be?
1. Regular Server wide events!! I severly miss these from AC, they were so much fun! Gathering ring lore doesn't count.
Question 3
Name two activities in game that you never seem to have enough time to enjoy or would like to spend more time participating in. (Note: Things currently in game, not new activities or events.)
1. PvMP = seems kinda pointless without incentive to participate, if it doesn't recieve updates along with the rest of the world/game. Loot adjusted properly, rewards, cosmetics.
2. Fishing = very lackluster rewards for participating, how about some actual loot? The food you can cook from fish is not a good enough reward for the time invested.

Question 1
Excluding, PvMP, Legendary Items and Radiance gear, what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised? Please list two and give a brief description of how you would revise/expand them.
1. Scale older instances and update them to allow Coin drops for Radiance peices.
2. Update Housing system, to allow abandoned houses in neighborhoods to be used. (IE kin members get houses in same neighborhood if not actively used)
Question 2
If you could add an entirely new gameplay mechanic to LOTRO what would it be? a fully featured Kin Management system. Including ability to link to Kin sites for calendar events, More control of storage chests. Perhaps work in the My Lotro info for events, announcements etc. (Not to take away for player kin sites, but tools that help promote better kin communication)
Question 3
Name two activities in game that you never seem to have enough time to enjoy or would like to spend more time participating in. (Note: Things currently in game, not new activities or events.)
1. fishing
2. Feastival activities

Re: Tell the Community Team - New and Revamped Systems - 4/8/10
Character appearance (barber). Please allow us to change more of our character appearance after creation. I've got a couple of characters where skin color, eye shadowing, etc. just didn't turn out quite right or I've gotten really tired of their look.
Even if we have to do it out of game, having the options to fix those things that start to be really annoying over time would be appreciated. Plus, it's been a long time since the barbers got new styles, etc. Perhaps make more of the styles available across races. Seems to reason that our heroic characters might adopt other racial styles over time, hanging out with each other so much.

Re: Tell the Community Team - New and Revamped Systems - 4/8/10
Question 1:
1. Looking for fellowship.
Usual scenario: any kinmates currently in game are all 10 levels above/below me, and I have 5-10 quests in the current area.
Regardless of whether I'm capable of doing those quests (solo/smal/full fellowship quests), I'd rather team up with somebody on several quests; rather than looking for 5 people to farm a specific single instance.
Skirmishes are okay, but their main effect on me is to suck players out of the world.
I want a single "LFF" toggle command. Toggling LFF 'on' would essentially invite anyone in my area to a fellowship, preferably without spamming them all with an actual invitation.
Anyone else in my area who activates the same toggle automatically joins my fellowship.
2. See number 1.
Question 2:
Distraction/temptation?
One aspect of the lore which is missing in LotRO is the distracting/tempting influence of the Ring on anyone nearby.
This effect is...shall we say important to the plot, from beginning to end.
On the other hand, I don't recall so much of stun/daze/root effects in the books, and certainly don't want to suggest adding another "can't control my character" mechanic.
Perhaps one of the existing effects could be transformed in some epic instances?
Question 3:
1. Doing anything at my house.
2.

Excluding, PvMP, Legendary Items and Radiance gear, what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised? Please list two and give a brief description of how you would revise/expand them.
1. Housing - we need free-form decorating and more space.
2. Crafting - this needs a major overhaul, as everything you've done since Moria has ruined it, except for those making consumables. This is a crying shame and is pathetic that you're destroying a part of your game that is so widely used by players. Compared to other MMOs, crafting in this game is almost non-existent. You need to have more variety of recipes, more components that can be farmed throughout the world, not just the wood and ore but other items as well. You also need to add a system of upgrading weapons and armor through crafting. This would be game-making and would please players that are craving some customization in their characters.
Question 2
If you could add an entirely new gameplay mechanic to LOTRO what would it be?
As stated above, there needs to be a system of crafting upgrades for all weapons and armor available in the game.
Question 3
Name two activities in game that you never seem to have enough time to enjoy or would like to spend more time participating in. (Note: Things currently in game, not new activities or events.)
1. Raiding - as it's set up now, I have too small a kin and too little time to raid. You need shorter raids and raids that are more PUG-friendly.
2. Finishing deeds - many of them require too many mobs for completion and there's no way to efficiently finish deeds that require groups and instances that no one is doing anymore. Carn Dum and Urugarth deeds need to have skirmishes to complete them and there should be solo options for places like Sarnur and Haudh Iarchith for deed completion. Ditto for deeds in Moria.

1. Housing. Personally I would love to see a free form system similar to what Ultima Online has with the ability to literally build the house from the ground up. I realize that may not be possible with certain LotRO housing structures such as Hobbit Holes so I would defer to at least something more free form INSIDE the house. The hook system is too limiting.
2. Cosmetics. A different approach to Cosmetics. Currently the whole issue of bag/bank/space is limiting how people can enjoy cosmetic apparel. Currently, an item is applied to a "cosmetic box" similar to a decal and the item is then displayed on one of two outfit displays. I would have the "cosmetic box" have a memory where it stores any item that has been applied to it. The player could then right-click the box and be presented with a dropdown scrolling menu of all previously worn items. It would be nice also to expand this to "Cosmetic weapons/shields/etc". I would remove Cosmetic recipes completely and instead have the actual item drop or maybe make the recipes Single Use to help create a continuos market for them.

1. Seems like I never have enough time for fishing. Always running around gathering resources for crafting (managing 5 toons at the same time can be hectic). Gathering resources takes a HUGE chunk of time.
2. The in-game music system! I think the in-game music system is one of LotRO's shining stars! No other MMo has anything quite like it and I think it's extemely undervalued.

Excluding, PvMP, Legendary Items and Radiance gear, what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised? Please list two and give a brief description of how you would revise/expand them.
1. Housing. Very little room in even a large house. Make it have more room!!
2. More good gear to choose from. Right now there are only 2 or 3 good gear sets out (watcher, BG etc...) and BG is nearly impossible to get for people who don't have 2-4 hours to spend on a raid. I would like more selection of armor so i can customize my character more then be just another hunter with watcher gear.
Mounted combat. Doesn't have to be really too good just fits the lore a bit more.
Name two activities in game that you never seem to have enough time to enjoy or would like to spend more time participating in. (Note: Things currently in game, not new activities or events.)
1. Raiding. generally don't have 2 or 3 hours in a row to spare
2. Fishing. wish it was more rewarding :/

Question 1
Excluding, PvMP, Legendary Items and Radiance gear, what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised? Please list two and give a brief description of how you would revise/expand them.
1. Housing. More hooks (or moveable hooks). I'd rather have 10 hooks in a corner of a room and use 3 of them of my choosing rather than just having 1 lonely chair in the corner. And, add more Special items, or get rid of the Special hook and change it to a Large hook. I'd also like the ability to paint or dye my furniture.
2. Hobbies. Please add another hobby. Saw some great ideas listed below. I like the artifact hobby. You can make it more challenging by not having it sparkle, only found if moused over. Heh, I'd also even take bug collecting over fishing.
Question 2
If you could add an entirely new gameplay mechanic to LOTRO what would it be?
I had so much fun when Turbine was doing that stress test and everyone got to fight and try to bring down a Dev. :) I think it'd be fun to have a Dev show up randomly someplace (Halls of Zelem-melek or farm fields of the shire, etc.). Do an in-game announcement giving a general area of the location and the first kin to reach it, attack it and bring it down gets a special Kin House trophy and special item (jewelry, armour piece, weapon) to roll on and a special kudos announced in-game. Or if making it a Kin event would be too difficult/complicated, then just the first fellowship.
Question 3

1. None, I do pretty much eveything I enjoy.

1. Some utility that would manage looting in raids. Some chest rolls take longer then the fight.
2. Cross server instances. So finding people to group with would be easier since the pool of players would be a lot larger.

Multi-player sparing so whole kins could square off.

Question 1
Excluding, PvMP, Legendary Items and Radiance gear, what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised? Please list two and give a brief description of how you would revise/expand them.
1. Mounts! It's a quality of life issue. Make them faster please. Current 20 mount should be changed to the speed of level 35 mount, and level 35 mount should be made faster. Also make an even higher speed/different looking mount for level cap. It doesn't effect game balance in any way.
2. UI. Allow a LOT more customization. For example, I'd like to see bigger floating combat text, but have to scale the entire UI to do so. There should be more granular control of each element.
Question 2
If you could add an entirely new gameplay mechanic to LOTRO what would it be?
- More PvP. Some may hate me for this, but create a few WoW-style, objective based "battlegrounds". It doesn't need to become a second game, but more than what's available in terms of PvP would be great to see.
Question 3

Question 1
Excluding, PvMP, Legendary Items and Radiance gear, what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised? Please list two and give a brief description of how you would revise/expand them.
1. I am going to say the quest guide thing on the map. Why does it have to cover the bottom left corner of the map? I suggest making it able to be shifted to any of the corners by the user. If I am questing around Aughair it's a pain that the quest guide thing covers most of the area around there.
Question 2
If you could add an entirely new gameplay mechanic to LOTRO what would it be?
I would love to see random treasure maps drop from mobs. These treasure maps should be fairly rare and five you quite vague directions. "10 steps from the tree with the fork in the trunk" kind of thing. There should also not be any indication where the treasure is, no glowing shimmery mound of dirt or anything. Not even a "treasure hunters shovel" item that becomes usable when you are on top of the treasure. You should also be able to "dig" wherever you want and if you get lucky, you hit trasure. If someone has a map to that treasure and they get there and dig for it they should get a message saying "This is the location shown on the map but it looks like someone beat you to it!". The treasure should be fairly substantial like 10g or a 2nd or 1st age legendary item (or crafting component). Some treasure maps may take you on a hunt all around ME and be very long and drawn out. Perhaps even taking you to "indiana jones" style temples where you have to solve puzzles.
Question 3
Name two activities in game that you never seem to have enough time to enjoy or would like to spend more time participating in.
1. Not sure.

Re: Tell the Community Team - New and Revamped Systems - 4/8/10
1) I would like the housing system to be revised. From the outside it appears my house has an upper level, but alas...... it does not. It would sure be nice to have a trophy room with numerous hooks where I could display all my trophies. I mean, for all the items everyone has acquired over the past few years, there is not even close to enough room in house, or the yard to display it. So much dead space within the house! And how about a pet? I would love to see in-house pets, rather than just a mouse or bird. How nice would it be to come home to a cat or dog waiting for you?
2) Please take another look at the crafting system. I feel my craft is basically wasted. Yeah, I can craft some Marchwarden boots, but so can 100 other people...... the exact same boots. Why not make it where people can add a little variety to the items they craft? Take a tailor for example; why can't their be special threads (kind of like relics) that I collect and piece together over time, where one day I could add a level 9 thread to my item to change it characteristics? Say that level 9 thread added +65 agility, +100 morale, +20 fate, +20 vitality, +20 radiance to my item? After the hard work of making the relic and adding it, I'd have this truly unique item that i could keep or sell on the auction hall. Crafting should be about being different, creating unique items through hard work, not crafting the same 'ole stuff like everyone else. Plus, by listing it in the auction hall, it would give the casual gamer an opportunity to go after special gear. Biggest complaint my friends tell me, they don't have time with life and the kids to play and do a 2 hour runs like everyone else, they feel disgruntled they are unable to collect nice gear. There has to be another way for the casual gamer to make their toons shine with nice gear. The crafting aspect, would be the way to do that.
That's my two bits, sorry I can't write more, have mac 'n cheese cooking on the stove for the kids. Thank you :P

Question 1
Excluding, PvMP, Legendary Items and Radiance gear, what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised? Please list two and give a brief description of how you would revise/expand them.
1. The loot from the endgame raids. I think that there needs to be more rare items that people can look forward to having drop from boss chests in the DG instances. There isn't really anything that drops from the 3-man instances that I see people running them over and over again to try to get other than the medallions. I also think that SG and BG could use a wider variety of drops, i.e. better off-hand weapons for dual-wield classes, and more varieties of jewellery, perhaps even a 2 or 3 piece set of jewellery to try to collect?
2. The trait system. I think it's time that virtue traits either went beyond rank 10 and/or we got an new slot to trait a 6th virtue. I think we could probably use a new racial trait and extra racial slot for each race too, man-heal is becoming obsolete compared to things like the Dwarves' Endurance of Stone.
Question 2
If you could add an entirely new gameplay mechanic to LOTRO what would it be?
Mounted combat.
Question 3
Name two activities in game that you never seem to have enough time to enjoy or would like to spend more time participating in. (Note: Things currently in game, not new activities or events.)
1. I would like have more time to enjoy the endgame instances
2. I wish that skirmishes weren't so much of a grind and were fun instead of draining the life out of me. Add some drops from the mobs in there besides the marks and bounties, i.e. some rare items that only drop in certain skirmishes. I think they have a lot of potential but at the moment they are dreadful.

Excluding, PvMP, Legendary Items and Radiance gear, what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised? Please list two and give a brief description of how you would revise/expand them.
1. Virtues - While the resists are nice... they could use a boost in stats, or an increase in maximum rank. It would also give us something else to work on while we wait for new content.
2. Crafting - There's still some errors that are in the crafting system (such as the Supreme Pipe-weed Recipe producing seeds that can't be used) that should be looked at and fixed.
Question 2
If you could add an entirely new gameplay mechanic to LOTRO what would it be?
Account Bound items. These items would be created from a relic master, and allow you to move relics from one character to another. Or a letter of recommendation generated from a quest at a specific reputation barterer when a player reaches kindred. The letter can only be used by characters on that account, and when turned in, grants the character enough rep to hit friend status with that reputation (or whatever the equivalent would be with the Lossoth).
Question 3
Name two activities in game that you never seem to have enough time to enjoy or would like to spend more time participating in. (Note: Things currently in game, not new activities or events.)
1. Old Raid Content - The Rift and Helegrod are actually a lot of fun at 65 cause the risk is pretty narrow, but the rewards aren't there, so very few want to do them. PLEASE DO NOT SCREW WITH THE INSTANCES OR MOBS, ONLY THE LOOT TABLES, QUEST REWARDS, AND/OR BARTER ITEMS.
2. Not sure.......

Re: Tell the Community Team - New and Revamped Systems - 4/8/10
Question 1
1. Housing. More hooks are definitely needed to make things more realistic...such as putting chairs around a table, etc. But I also think it would be fun to be able to add rooms. For instance, a kitchen where cooks can actually cook, a workshop where metalsmiths, weaponsmiths, and woodworkers can craft, and a sewing table where tailors can do their thing.
2. Hobbies....there is only one. I like the idea of artifact and bug collecting as long as we can get cool trophies to put in our fancy new houses.
Question 2
1. I would like to be able to change the appearance of our mounts using a cosmetic system. New saddles, saddle blankets, and bridles. You can get the items from gaining reputation or there could be special recipes that crafters can make and even dye! It's such a proud moment when you get your first horse, it would be nice to make it look like your own instead of like everyone else's.
2. I didn't have a second idea of my own, but I Really like the idea of activities at the inns! Parties, music, poker...all good.
Question 3
1. Nothing.....If I suddenly remember that I haven't done a specific activity in awhile, I go do it! It's all about slowing down and smelling the roses along the way. There's no rule that says you have to get to level 65 in 7 days!

Question 1
Excluding, PvMP, Legendary Items and Radiance gear, what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised? Please list two and give a brief description of how you would revise/expand them.
1. older instance, could make gated versions for us to come back and do when we are level capped. i think it's nice to take some time away and go back to my roots every once in a while.
2.
Question 2
If you could add an entirely new gameplay mechanic to LOTRO what would it be?
Hunter ports. Ok, I'm tired of having two quick bars full of em, can i please have one skill button that brings up a menu with a list of destinations ? i think this would be great for alot of hunter's, you could even have it as an option so that hunter's could choose which way they want it.
&& can we please get married. i can have a son but no wife ? :/
Question 3
Name two activities in game that you never seem to have enough time to enjoy or would like to spend more time participating in. (Note: Things currently in game, not new activities or events.)
1.fishing. its annoying because i cant control what i catch.

Re: Tell the Community Team - New and Revamped Systems - 4/8/10
Question 1
Excluding, PvMP, Legendary Items and Radiance gear, what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised? Please list two and give a brief description of how you would revise/expand them.
1. TRAVEL! Please consider revising the travel system to permit "GUIDE TO..." teleporting by classes other than the Hunters. Continue to allow Hunters to be the only class which can "carry" other players on their teleport journeys, but find a way to allow other classes to learn to port themselves. As players progress through levels they most certainly "learn" the pathways and routes through Middle Earth. Let them take advantage of that acquired knowledge... at least for themselves. Perhaps allowing a player to acquire a reusable (non-consumable) map to the same key locations that Hunters learn... but only after completing a specific number of quests, or a single quest that requires travel to/through the entire area. No timer of cool down; repeated use would only be limited by the amount of travel rations held in inventory. Perhaps the travel ability could be tied to acquiring a specific level of reputation with the faction in each area of the map.
Travel is one of the most time consuming parts of the game, especially with the expansion of the map and the newer areas. The teleport ability alone is responsible for a huge imbalance in player character classes in favor of Hunters. This TRAVEL revision would take the load off the Hunter class (including the insane demand/cost for Hunter-class items on the AH) and balance the spread of players across a greater variety of classes.
2. HOUSING! Please rework the hooks in houses to allow more freeform arrangements. Consider implementing the idea of closets for non-bound cosmetic clothing items. Let us put tables and chairs where we wish... and let us SIT in those chairs if desired. Let our houses be HOMES... usable places for individual residential expression... not paste-up scatterings of tiny items in widely-spaced slots in vast rooms/halls. Right now the only thing that makes a Deluxe home more desirable than a small home is the added chest in the second bedroom.
Question 2
If you could add an entirely new gameplay mechanic to LOTRO what would it be?
1. MAP ANNOTATIONS - add the ability to drop small "NOTE" or "JOURNAL" markers on the game map, and to tie those specific markers to PERSONAL JOURNAL entries which a player could type in using a mail-like composition window. Clicking on the NOTE icon would open a small window and display the JOURNAL entry in the same way that game/quest documents are "read" in-game. If needed, a maximum number of characters could be imposed on the notes/entries so they would always be "brief" and not extensive text libraries. The "NOTE" or "JOURNAL" markers would be toggle-able, just like all the other map icons
Question 3
Name two activities in game that you never seem to have enough time to enjoy or would like to spend more time participating in. (Note: Things currently in game, not new activities or events.)
1. FESTIVALS - it seems a bit pointless to interrupt my character advancement efforts to "get drunk" for the Inn League or the new Dwarf drinking group, but I would like to see some of the other festival activities available on a continuous basis. Horse races could offer a greater variety of selectable rewards, including tokens which would be accumulated toward new Titles, or toward granting/acquiring abilities to travel faster (however slightly) - whether by personal horse, or by rent-a-nag.
2. INNS/TAVERNS - Other than popping into the Pony for a quick "heal", buying supplies, a quick stop at the BARD to readjust my traits, or a stop at the Barber for a beard trim, there seems no reason to linger. These are wonderfully artistic places, and yet most of the tables are EMPTY. Please fill them with customers, add conversations and interactions, and make it worth my while to linger a bit longer, to enjoy the companionship (even if it's just NPCs), and appreciate the incredible details of the world Tolkein created and Turbine has realized on my computer screen.

Re: Tell the Community Team - New and Revamped Systems - 4/8/10
Gameplay Mechanic: Have individual players open their own stores. Sure, its fune to play the market when you're in a city, but sometimes players want a more personal approach.
Like if there is a kinship party and someones is the bartender. Instead of telling people what they have, they can set up (perhaps a toggle skill) their own little bar and when a player clicks on it the he can see all the goods available, and can buy from there.
I think this would be a wonderful way for people to get reconnected to their communities also.

Question 1
Excluding, PvMP, Legendary Items and Radiance gear, what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised? Please list two and give a brief description of how you would revise/expand them.
1. Crafting crits: I would like to see chance of crit percentages that better reflect what actually happens. Current percentages are way over-inflated and never reflect my success rate. I would also like to see 100 percent crits when both a shard and lore crafting journals are used.
2. Traits: I would like to be able to equip more legendary and class traits.
Question 2
If you could add an entirely new gameplay mechanic to LOTRO what would it be? The option to create female dwarves! Give them a female voice and a few feminine attributes please!
Question 3
Name two activities in game that you never seem to have enough time to enjoy or would like to spend more time participating in. (Note: Things currently in game, not new activities or events.)
1. Fishing
2. Earning reputation for various factions

Re: Tell the Community Team - New and Revamped Systems - 4/8/10
I am sure what I would like to see has already been addressed by others, but here I go. This is my "Wish List" for Middle Earth. I know to compare to other games is akward but it will give you best idea to get my point across. To see these ideas and requests implemented, would only improve on the already GREAT Lore and back story of this world. You have the graphics down to Bliss! Again, all these are "IMHO" "In My Humble Opinion" as to what I personally like to see. I am sure others will have different view points and opinions.
1. Guild Cloaks - Aion had ability to design your own - very cool concept.
2. Guild Cities - Star Wars Galaxy had the best Player / Guild Cities.
3. Guild House - access to bank / vendors at the Kinship house along with Kinship Vendor.
4. Fashion Police - Anarchy Online had the best assortment of clothing. Never enough bags to accomodate the style of the day. Not everyday is battle KILL KILL KILL - Some days are about strolling in town in your best or worse outfit.
5. Bags / Item Space - As a crafter - never enough room - would to see Bags that are for Crafting Items only.
6. More Hobbies - right now only Fishing - love to see more in this area; IE Dance - more moves and if into Music: more SYNC moves for the band members.
7. Player made Links / Marcos - Age of Conan had ability for make clickable links to help recruit members. This was a very helpful tool. Or maybe add a new channel called Recruitment. This could be where folks looking for a guild or a guild seeking members could go.
8. Email - Mass email when sending items - not limited to one piece at a time.
9. Housing - Again EQ2 / SWG as examples - Freedom to place and decorate as we see fit. Not limited to X amt of hooks. Say certain style house has X amt of hooks and when you extend the starting hooks - you have to pay extra rent for the extra stuff in your home. I am a pack rat and love to have animals (pets) greet me - but I come home to a mouse that grabs his cheese and runs back into his hole in the wall. Plus I personally loved to decorate homes for other players - make a business out of it. First off - the freedom to place items where I want them and not limited.
10. I know you wanted just a few things but my mind is full of things from other worlds that I would love to see in Middle Earth.
11. More Live Events by the Devs and CST (Customer Support Team) - say .. GLOBAL ALERT! Incoming attack on Bree - Rally your teams and beat back the foes. Like at the End of the World Parties during BETA. Those were a lot of FUN !!
Alright, I will stop now - LOL

1. 1.Too much grinding in this game to have FUN grind for L.I's, grind for traits, grind for gear, grind for rep.grind grind grind.. It's why i left that other Game
2.Rewards, raid loot and lvl 65 dungeons should drop stuff thats better than lower level stuff, RAD gear needs better stats since we had to grind forever to get it

A huge siege (instance attacking a fort or gates)
Question 3

Question 1
Excluding, PvMP, Legendary Items and Radiance gear, what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised? Please list two and give a brief description of how you would revise/expand them.
1. Since you have knocked off the top 3 worst problems of the game, I guess #4 would be lack of hobbies
2. and #5 would be Player Music System
Question 2
If you could add an entirely new gameplay mechanic to LOTRO what would it be?
Off-center 3rd person view and revamped 1st person view
Question 3
Name two activities in game that you never seem to have enough time to enjoy or would like to spend more time participating in. (Note: Things currently in game, not new activities or events.)
1. End Game gated dungeons

Re: Tell the Community Team - New and Revamped Systems - 4/8/10
Question 1
Excluding, PvMP, Legendary Items and Radiance gear, what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised? Please list two and give a brief description of how you would revise/expand them.
1. Housing! - Allow unpaid houses to go back on the market and either do away with the hook system or add more/better placed hooks (ie: Large Floor with Small Floor surrounding it for table and chairs)
2. Skills and Traits - Either give us more skills or allow us to customize our build by adding more Class Trait bonuses.
Question 2
If you could add an entirely new gameplay mechanic to LOTRO what would it be?
I would add a Talent Tree system. Instead of having set bonuses for having 2, 3, 4, etc of a certain class trait, I would have each class trait correspond to a set of skills or bonuses which players can spend points in. You would receive one point per level which can be spent on whatever skills or bonuses you would like from the tree of unlocked "talents".
Question 3
Name two activities in game that you never seem to have enough time to enjoy or would like to spend more time participating in. (Note: Things currently in game, not new activities or events.)
1. Raiding - I simply don't have the 3-4 hours to raid anymore and if I did, the new raid isn't worth the time.
2. Alts - With all the grind mechanics like skirmishes, legendary item scrolls, stat scrolls and traits, I just don't have the time or the drive to level any of my alts. I use to have 5 max level alts in MoM but now I am down to just my 1 main.

Re: Tell the Community Team - New and Revamped Systems - 4/8/10
Question 1
Excluding, PvMP, Legendary Items and Radiance gear, what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised? Please list two and give a brief description of how you would revise/expand them.
1. Cosmetics. As a longtime roleplayer, I find the need to change my toon's "outfit" frequently, and sometime feel absolutely squelched at times due to the limitations of classes. Runekeepers and Loremasters (I have an LM as my main) are restricted to light armour only for the gear. But why can we not equip medium or heavy armour cosmetically? I believe, for cosmetic reasons, the option to cosmetically apply any gear (while still being level specific) would greatly enhance my gaming experience.
2. Housing and the Homesteads. There have already been a great deal of comments made about it, so it's a strong topic for many players. Perhaps making hooks purchaseable could be a solution, in addition to making them movable. All in all, there is a great need to add /many/ more hooks to a house.
Question 2
If you could add an entirely new gameplay mechanic to LOTRO what would it be?
Mulit-player mounts. As painful as it is to compare Lotro to WoW (Turbine does a fantastic job in so many respects!) this is one area I think Blizzard got right. It would be incredible to see players given the ability to earn/purchase/ect wagons or carriages (as mounts) that not only had slots for a "driver" but one or two passengers. What fun it would be to see a hobbit driving a cart pulled by a pony with two hobbit lads with their feet dangling off the back? Or a dwarf taking his trade good from Ered Luin to Bree? Obviously, there could be ways of abusing such a system, ie lvl 65's "carting" lowbies to Rivendell, ect. But the benefits to gameplay and overall Tolkien environment immersion would be greatly improved!
Question 3
Name two activities in game that you never seem to have enough time to enjoy or would like to spend more time participating in. (Note: Things currently in game, not new activities or events.)
1. Fishing (hobbies in general, should their be any more hobbies ever added). While I would love to spend the time to improve this skill, there seems to be very little reward for the hours of mindless clicking.
2. Crafting. I love it! But between roleplaying and leveling, my crafting just tends to sit there idly.

Question 1
Excluding, PvMP, Legendary Items and Radiance gear, what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised? Please list two and give a brief description of how you would revise/expand them.
1. Music. its bland in most areas. Only areas i think have good music are eregion, lorien, mirkwood, and the forges. The music needs to inspire people, make them think they are in middle earth, not some cheesy slow music in deadly areas.
2. landscape. every area is surrounded by mountains or loading screens. just take down the mountains and attach one area to the next, this would allow people to explore ALL of the current middle earth. If loading screens were eliminated for area entrances (excluding instance areas) such as going from moria into lorien, that would be awesome.

Re: Tell the Community Team - New and Revamped Systems - 4/8/10
Question 1
Excluding, PvMP, Legendary Items and Radiance gear, what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised? Please list two and give a brief description of how you would revise/expand them.
1. The map system. Quite frankly after "wow, how cool.. a hand-drawn looking map just like the one in the book/movie" wears off quickly one you have to use it. The map really stinks as a navigational tool. You should be able to drill into the map to show trails and paths. It is quite often one can be so close to a goal, but because of a cliff-face or rivier or any one of a number of obsticals be blocked. Navigating inside Moria is horrible using the current map. Most other games have elevation aware interactive maps. And all the stables (horse-heads) - should be labeled; they should say something like: 'Stable - W. Bree' as the tooltip.
2. Travel. More and better travel destinations with more quick travel opportunities.
Question 2
If you could add an entirely new gameplay mechanic to LOTRO what would it be?
The game engine should scale monsters to the person or group attacking it at the start of the encounter. For example assume monster (or a boar) has 2000hp, if attacked by a group of two, it could scale to having 4000hp, three people then it could scale 6000hp. etc. A more advanced engine could create a scaling factor based on the gear of the attacking force. For a poor equiped person the scale factor might be 1.0 for a well equiped person the scale factor might 1.2. The scaling factor could also be adjusted by class as well. To add randomness to the encounter, maybe as the scale factor goes, more and more monster abilities are enabled. If monsters scaled to users (and not levels) more content would remain usable and challenging longer.
Question 3
Name two activities in game that you never seem to have enough time to enjoy or would like to spend more time participating in. (Note: Things currently in game, not new activities or events.)
1. Exploring - but this is difficult because monsters are scattered almost uniformally over an area. Instead of having mosters grouped around caves, and camps, dens they are also scattered everywhere.. almost to the point where you cant go a 100 feet without agroing another monster (usually yard trash) it makes exploring way too time consuing when exploring on level.
2. Fun and kooky side quests.
** I do hope the devs realize this is a terrible place to ask these types of questions.. the people here are not representative of the whole player base. Its like asking a sumo wrestling team how did they liked the buffet? You get answers like: "The plates were too small", "ran out of food too fast", "too much salad, not enough squid dishes" ... you just dont get a good answer to question of "how was the buffet?"

1. Fellowship Manouevres, bring them back into the gameplay. Expand the list of possible combinations and effects.
2. (nothing here since you excluded all the actual systems that DO need to be removed/overhauled)
Question 2
If you could add an entirely new gameplay mechanic to LOTRO what would it be?
1. Kinship competitions (e.g. ctf). Expand on the dueling system to allow for pvp between freeps. Monthly "capture the keep" competition open to all kinships with a suitable reward for the winning kinship. Reward: Access to a new map area with higher end item drops for the winners.

2. Also, look to expand how destiny points are obtained other than PvP, such as having it as an option in daily quest rewards.
Question 2
If you could add an entirely new gameplay mechanic to LOTRO what would it be?

1) Deeds-Leveling can be tidius (sp) as it is. Going out to do the killing deeds is worse. Either make them more do able or cut down on the number of kills and/or types.
2) This may or maynot be considered part of PvMP, but i woulkd like to see a wider spread of PvP such as playable evil races that could be seen all thru middle earth.

Re: Tell the Community Team - New and Revamped Systems - 4/8/10
Excluding, PvMP, Legendary Items and Radiance gear, what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised? Please list two and give a brief description of how you would revise/expand them.
1. Time and Space. No Really, hear me out. You guys have upgraded a lot of gameplay, but some of the systems have not been changed to accommodate the changes. There are a lot of new level-up systems: Legendary items, more rep groups, craft guilds. But our available inventory is still very limited for carrying items and for lower level characters. My level 30 alts do a lot of crafting, but can't hold much. Inventory management is a very unfun part of the game. So is running back and forth from the different craft areas or to the mailbox or the vault. Esteldin craft area has -almost- everything. A craft station and bank and mailbox all in the same place. But not a superior oven or forge. Morial 21st hall has -almost- everything, all superior craft stations and a mailbox, but not a vault. If I have to micromanage my space, I really don't want to take so much extra time running back and forth. Please put a superior oven and forge in Esteldin. Please put a bank vault NPC in 21st hall. Please increase space in houses, bank vaults (lower level buy in), and backpacks. I really like to craft, and I really like to have my characters send each other usable items, and send them to friends and kin. But i hate having to micromanage my space all the time.
2. Housing. I agree with all above posted comments. I enjoy the look of the small hobbit house, but don't have a chance to try the larger items in it. Also very limited to how many hooks it has. I'd be willing to pay a lot more for a house if it had more usability.
3. Trait and rep management/tracking. You have created a good quest tracker. Now I'd love to have an ingame tracker showing what quests I need to finish or mobs I need to kill to earn or increase a trait. Let's be honest, only a few players actually enjoy being the first to figure these things out. The rest of us look it up online. I have slips of papers everywhere trying to figure out what last quest I need to max out a trait. Just create an tracker that shows which pieces of the puzzle my character has completed and what is left to do. Rather than make me look it up and figure it out for each character. Make the tracker option out so that people can figure it out on their own if they want to. This is another unfun housekeeping chore that takes away time from fun gameplay.
Question 2
If you could add an entirely new gameplay mechanic to LOTRO what would it be?
1. Unexplored map regions for new expansions. A few months before you release, offer players the opportunity to map small regions of the new area. You can turn off all the quests, mobs, secrets, etc. Just allow each character a fraction of the map appropriate to his area, create a tiny instance for that space with random mobs, and let them scout it out, scribing the map as they traverse it. Maybe put a puzzle or two in there. Each account only gets to do this once, so that the max number of players can participate. Make the map portions really small too for the same reason. The scouting missions will have real consequences. The new area will be released only when all the map segments are scouted. The downside is that the terrain itself will be "previewed" before release. But the quests, mobs, stories, resources, and new gameplay will still be secret. I'd sign up for that mission if you did it well.
Question 3
Name two activities in game that you never seem to have enough time to enjoy or would like to spend more time participating in. (Note: Things currently in game, not new activities or events.)
1. Festivals
2.

Question 1
Excluding, PvMP, Legendary Items and Radiance gear, what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised? Please list two and give a brief description of how you would revise/expand them.
1. At the risk of being the camel's last straw; seriously, housing needs work.
2. Hobbies. I notice the name in the Character tab says Hobbies not Hobby, which implies there will be more than one. Maybe Gardening (using specialized hooks in housing, perhaps) or Exploring/Excavating as was mentioned in previous posts maybe even something like Brewing to give those Hobbits and Dwarves a run for their money (I know, it's covered by Cooks, but it could be expanded upon.) Could even play Brewing off between Ale Association and Inn League.
Question 2
If you could add an entirely new gameplay mechanic to LOTRO what would it be?
Sadly, I have a severe lack of knowledge on the HOW to make things work.
Question 3
Name two activities in game that you never seem to have enough time to enjoy or would like to spend more time participating in. (Note: Things currently in game, not new activities or events.)
1. Taverns. If it's not festival time, they're empty.
2. Resource instances. I liked running them, but now, getting to them takes more time than I'm willing to invest.

Question 1
Excluding, PvMP, Legendary Items and Radiance gear, what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised? Please list two and give a brief description of how you would revise/expand them.
1. Expand the storage system, some kind of risk vs reward to expand bags, there is still not enough room to craft and quest, I am constantly running out of room as a crafter.
2. Mounts need more hit points, sick of being dismounted from trash mobs.
Question 2
If you could add an entirely new gameplay mechanic to LOTRO what would it be?
Replace the combat system, please go play WoW, or either of Cryptic's new MMO's to feel the combat mechanics, it still feels detached, still a main complaint from many people.
Question 3

1. Fishing
2. Can't think of another one.
See above for answers,
Thanks

Question 1
Excluding, PvMP, Legendary Items and Radiance gear, what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised? Please list two and give a brief description of how you would revise/expand them.
1. Historic Skirmishes/Scenarios. As outlined in this thread: http://forums.lotro.com/showthread.php?t=326384
2. Epic Quest line revamp beyond Shadows of Angmar. Make the remaining Epic storyline accessible to those who cannot, or will not, spend time organizing Raids/Pugs.
Question 2
If you could add an entirely new gameplay mechanic to LOTRO what would it be?
None I can think of. I literally do not have time to do all the things presently in-game.
Question 3
Name two activities in game that you never seem to have enough time to enjoy or would like to spend more time participating in. (Note: Things currently in game, not new activities or events.)
1. Raiding - Or maybe tier the difficulty of raid locales for solo/small fellow gameplay. I cannot raid at all due to time constraints so I feel I'm missing a significant portion of the game.
2. PvMP - I've done it a few times. But it doesn't feel, erm, Middle-Earthy. Nor does it have any tie into the main storyline.

Disclaimer: My opinion is based on limited gameplay experience, but maybe it's important to have an opinion of a fresh player too to make new players enjoy the game more!
Question 1
Excluding, PvMP, Legendary Items and Radiance gear, what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised? Please list two and give a brief description of how you would revise/expand them.
1. However addicting the crafting system is, I'd like to see it expanded. I would like more user involvement in the crafting system. I'm not saying if I need to craft 100 light leathers or w/e that I should have to take my mouse and move it over a hide for 10 minutes. But for special items, ones that you would make rarely or have rare mats, I would LOVE to see some player "skill" involved when crafting. Maybe it's adding ingredients in a certain order? Maybe something like seen in Fable II where timing was everything. Anyway, I think it would add to the depth and enjoyment of the game. The better you crafted something, the higher the chance to get a crit etc.
2. Same goes for the fishing system. I would also like to see the use of lures for specific rare fish and maybe an action sequence (thinking old bass tournament games here lol) in order to reel the fish in.
Question 2
If you could add an entirely new gameplay mechanic to LOTRO what would it be?
However far out there I'm talking, I'd like to see the combat system change in 2 ways.
1. Skill Chains. I love skill chains in games. Specifically FFXI. Age of Conan tried to incorporate something as well for skill chains. This really makes gameplay more fun for me and makes you work to build up your skill. I do like the system for Rune-Keeper where the more you use certain skills the more dangerous or helpful skills open up. Why not have something like this in the form of skill chains for everyone?
2. Movement during combat. In Aion, I miss only a few things. The biggest thing I miss is the mobility needed during combat. You move forward, you do more damage but your defense decreases. You strafe, you gain evasion. You move backwards, you do less damage but your offense increases etc. I really liked this idea even for normal questing because it made killing mobs more fun and you were thinking more about how to approach your mob, and what to do when it reacted to you.
Question 3
Name two activities in game that you never seem to have enough time to enjoy or would like to spend more time participating in. (Note: Things currently in game, not new activities or events.)
1. I haven't gotten far enough to have an opinion on this :)

Question 1
Excluding PvMP, Legendary Items and Radiance gear, what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised? Please list two and give a brief description of how you would revise/expand them.
Answer 1
1. Instances... MORE 3 and 6 man instances... I think group content is what is the most imporatnt to add. Other big name MMOs offer a large amount of end-game content at the level cap, and currently Lotro offers only 3 3-man instances, 1-6 man instance, and 1 12-man raid. Yes, I understand that multiples when skirmishes are considered, but somehow that doesn't seem to add up.
2. Crafting... please find a way to make crafting useful and worthwhile again. As of now I feel like Armoursmithing is a waste because of the radiance armour, and scholar is busted since most can get their potions from skirmishes, etc.
Question 2
If you could add an entirely new gameplay mechanic to LOTRO what would it be?
Answer 2
Mounted Combat... it will really bring the feel of Middle-Earth to us.
Question 3
Name two activities in game that you never seem to have enough time to enjoy or would like to spend more time participating in. (Note: Things currently in game, not new activities or events.)
1.
2.
Answer 3
1. Raiding/instances
2. VIRTUES... so time consuming

Re: Tell the Community Team - New and Revamped Systems - 4/8/10
Q;1 A; Not enough room, Far to many items are BoA, yet there value is very low, causing people to sell or destory them, only to have to waste time farming them later if they need or want them. In addition, there never enough room in bags & vaults for crafting, rare gear & outfits. Crafters arent rewarded for maxing there craft with extra bag space or ability to make more posts on AH. I would like to see outfits work like horses, click them and they become a passive skill you can chose to use at any time. There a quite a number of weapons, shield, cloaks, helms & armour sets that people keep because of custic value. If we where able to turn them into outfits and then click them again to make them a passive skills it would make alot of room and make alot of players happy. LI runes & barter items shouldnt be BoA items that take up endless space. Currenty there over 35+ barter (token, medels etc) BoA items and each of my toons waste 15 slots on LI runes. Both barter items can drop like loot, but we then can click on them and barter items can go to a special window that works like gold & silver when we are near the correct npc. LI runes can be click to be added to a window like destiny point window, and when we want to use LI xp, we type in them amount then apply to the desired LI. There can be windows for each LIxp from 51-60 & 51-65
Q1;B; Fix Housing; The locked Hook points for decorations is really silly. Everyone outside home looks the same. You cant design decoration to spell things out or looks in cool way. Dark Ages of Camelot housing it pretty uber with option decorations placing.
Q2;A; New Hobbies; I was exploring Bree town on day and notice all the different pop up area that the major was sending me to see for a quest to explore bree town. but there areas dont have Points for Interest for them. You could create new Hobby call Tour Guide or Explorer, where a toon would run all over each zone to find every old PoI (or they can auto filling those in if got the flag already) and all the places without PoI flags. They can get titles for the number they find like quests deeds. These Hobby PoI can get there own flags you can turn on or off in filter, the flags could be blue. However as the game expands and old material is update, players can go out and find these new Hobby PoI and get more titles per zone. Personly i think this would add some new end game stuff as well enjoy exploring old material on favorite toons and would help those who are brain fried trying to remember PoI places that dont have flags.
Q2;B; New Hobbies part 2; Bounty Hunter; in this hobby a player goes around killing all the named mobs in a zone. Title for each zone, they work like quest deeds the more you kill the more titles you can get. As old material is updated, more named mobs might appear and higher title tier of title can be unlocked. Named mobs would include; shard mobs, quests mobs, instance zone mobs; there reasonf or quest mobs it to have other players help those tyring to finish the quest and a reason to grp together. Some for instance boss mob, it would help grps to be formed for material that is rarely runned. Now those toon that have finished kill named deeds for traits already could get auto granted credit or not. I understand there might be people annoyied because the mob they want or need is never up, but that will pass after a few weeks and/or it would help create lasting endgame material.
Q2;C New Hobbite part 3; Collecter; there could be a dozen or less new hobbes just by adding collector part to the game; Trophy collector, pocket, cloak, jewelry, weapons, shield, outfits. But whether players have to win the items or just be in the grp where they drop, will be up to you. Collector deed can work like quest deeds, the more collect, the more titles unlock. In addition it would be nice if you click on them and see the stats or even post in chat, so people can see the abilty or what it looks like.
Q2;D all there new Hobbies would have to work 2 ways, one it would show up like you have 15/30 Bree hobby location and each one would be listed, much like kill named mobs trait/deed, Bree Town, Auction Hall, Unknown (trophy), The Prancy Pony, Unknown (vault), so people can guess/see what there missing.
Q3:A; Auction House (reposting eveyr 2 days is stupid & cost to much and 30 items per toon it little for all new game material. Would liek to see save price command so if selling potions of all different kinda but they sell them at some price, i donthave to keep retyping it.
Q3;B; Raiding (Helegord, Rift, DN, BG, Watcher, all need to work like Turtle, Moria, mirk & lorien, speaical coin per instance, instead of having only a few people win loot and force others to play toon that already have that piece and the raid fails to get to the lock boss they neeed. People can win coins for each chest to they buy the items they want, then play there raiding alts to do the same.)
Q3;C; Moors; Freepeep need a rank systems where they get the ability to buy ability much like they do in Dark Age of Camelot or what creep can buy, and these ability can be used both in pvp and pve.
Q4;D; Mob kill Deed for trait; reduces all the require amounts, the elist mobs are the worse, Sarner you have to kill 450 of stuff, who has time for one toon, insane for alts. Instance mobs deeds are even worse.

Question 1
Excluding, PvMP, Legendary Items and Radiance gear, what systems do you feel could be expanded or revised? Please list two and give a brief description of how you would revise/expand them.
1. Housing - Please let me place furniture where I want. Why are the housing instances out in the middle of nowhere? Can we have a portal in the major towns instead? Or how about let us rent instanced "apartments" that lead from currently unused doors in towns.
2. Music - More instruments, support for more ABC features (multiple voices, mid-file tempo change), ability to sing lyrics from ABC file...
Question 2
If you could add an entirely new gameplay mechanic to LOTRO what would it be?
Tavern Revelries - This idea is great!
Question 3
Name two activities in game that you never seem to have enough time to enjoy or would like to spend more time participating in. (Note: Things currently in game, not new activities or events.)
1. Raiding - Just don't have much time because I'm always playing with the music system...
2. Festivals - ditto
