Light RP/Laid back
Hello! Another returning player looking for an RP kinship from light to heavy but a goodly amount of instancing. I main a 21 champion, Anathel.
Hello! I am Montegue Fleetfoot, a level 20-ish hobbit and burglar. I'm looking for a fairly heavy RP kinship.
A bit of background: I've played MMORPGs on and off for years, and have spent decent amounts of time in AO, FFXI, WoW, CoH/CoV, and TR, roughly in that order. AO is the only game on the list that I've RPed in, so I'm still adjusting to the fantasy aspect and the amount of sheer quantity of canon lore which is present in LoTRO.
What I'm looking for: Before getting to the meat of this post, let me just say that I don't use voice chat. It ruins the immersion for me. Anyway, while I do enjoy some spontaneous RPing at the Prancing Pony, I'm really looking for a more structured RP environment. Ideally I would like to join a kinship with an in-game purpose other than just fighting the shadow and protecting the Free Peoples; preferably one supported by the occasional player-made event. Now I have nothing against that kind of play, but frankly don't see my character as the noble, heroic and selfless type. Since I may not be being terribly clear, here are a few examples of what I mean:
1. A crafting-based RP kinship that holds trade bazaars, 'escorts' delivery of materials or goods to or from cities, etc.
2. A travelers' guild or cartographic society that explores all the nooks and crannies of Middle-Earth, and creates maps and/or travelogues for cities, regions, points of interest, and whatnot.
3. A smugglers' cartel or other shady organization, although not anything too unscrupulous. Thievery and such would be just fine, but not cold-blooded murder or anything outright evil. I'm a 'self-sufficient' gentlehobbit; not some boorish Blackwold. :p
Obviously the above things are just examples I thought of off the top of my head, but I hope they illustrate what I'm looking for. As an aside, I would be just as interested in helping to make something like this as I would be in joining an established kinship.
Thanks for reading,
-Montegue Fleetfoot
I'm looking for a tribe for my creep, hes a blackarrow and name is Khaotik. I'm looking for a tribe mainly because I am new to landroval and want a group of people to run around with killin stuff. :D

Race:Elf
RP:Light to Medium
Reason:I love to play in groups/Kins because i work well in groups.I dont like role-playing either.I also dont like Kinships who never Post in the AH just because im kinda impatient i lag badly when i trade and i just dont like trading.
I'm looking for a kinship thats doing raiding. In the moors aswell as Rift and CD runs.
Level 50 Hunter ( Oreius )
I have some raid exp and know how things should work. I listen and do what I'm told to do.
I am a light-med RP player but the kinship I join doesnt have to be.
I thought I should add a few things. If I need to fill out an application, I am fine with that, but if your going to be picky on how its filled out, dont waste my time or your time. I am here to play and have a good time, not tell you my life story and why your kinship should take me in.
In-Game Name: Galariehl
In-Game Level: 50 (Elf Hunter)
Roleplaying: Light, Medium & Heavy (Adaptable)
Gameplay Style: I solo quite a bit, but do like to group as often as I can.
I'm a GM Cook, Farmer and Tailor. I am also looking for a kinship that doesn't take themselves too seriously, nor have leaders with control issues. I'm a single mother of two so I am on and off quite a bit, but do have evenings where I have a few hours of straight game play.
HI,
You might find Explorers of Middle Earth to your liking. We are a pretty laid back group of adults most of whom have lots of family and other real life responcibilities. We never try to tell anyone you have to be here for this or that or wear this type of armour or trait out this specific manner. We may make some suggestions but never depands. If that is the kind of thing you are referring to in the control issue comment.
We do ofcourse have some rules and do expect them to be followed, such as keeping kin chat reasonably clean, zero tolerance for gold selling/buying and the upstairs kinhouse vault needing an officer's concent to remove items from. We also expect our members to be friendly, helpful, understanding of sudden unexpected afks due to kids, wife/hubby aggro or other real life issues and above all mature.
We are not a role playing kinship however we are role player friendly and do have a few light roleplayers in the kin.
If you are interested please feel free to contact any of the officers listed in our posting here on the kinship thread or send me a private message here or in game. If we aren't right for you then I wish you all the best in finding a kin that is. :)
Hi,
I've only very recently started to play Lord of the Rings Online and I'm really hoping to find an easy-going and friendly kinship. My character's name is Achillea, a level 21 human lore-master. I'm looking for a kinship with either light or no roleplaying. I just want some good people to enjoy the game with, really...Soloing everything all the time gets kind of boring after a while. I don't know what I can offer a kinship...I seem to get an abnormally large number of boar intestine drops. Does anyone actually use boar intestines?
Edit: Never mind, I looked it up. I will never again touch a lute. Ew.

In-Game name: Forini
RP Style: Medium to Heavy
Game play style: Very Casual
I'm 22 years old and happen to work a very poor shift for gaming. I work late nights and don't have the time to go at an MMO hardcore anymore. I'm mostly hoping to find a kinship who's fairly casual with a focus on RP. Also with my first child on the way my play time will go down significantly.
EDIT:I should note that I am sort of a package deal with my girlfriend. She's also an rper but isn't as versed in LoTR lore as I am.
Check out the self-advertising link in my signature! I'm hoping to jump start a kinship that would primarily focus on not making you do anything. I suppose you coudl say it's very heavy into RP, but you would really make of it what you would. But if you want specifics and not rambles, check out the thread via that link down there... :)
Hello Landroval! I am a long time MMOer returning once again to LOTRO. I have played a total of about 3 months in the past and haven't stuck around very long. I think it has been due to my lack of Kinships. I am 20 years old and have played SWG(starsider), WoW(aegwynn), and CoH(Justice). Right now I'm a lvl 11 Elf Hunter and would like to find a well rounded and mature kinship. I like PvE, PvP and would like to get into roleplaying a bit since I enjoyed it so much in SWG. If anyone can steer me in the right direction, I would be appreciative! Thanks everyone.
If any of you are truly wanting to RP, I'd invite you to the give the kin Legends of Laurelin some consideration. Ours is an adult kin, so we ask that you be 18 or older and not on a trial account. We have other general rules listed and accessible on our website:
http://LegendofLaurelin.tk yes legend, no s. And no need for a www. tag at the front.
We're a medium RP kin 80% RP in kinchat with OOC separated out ((usually like this)). We have a voice server (non mandatory for OOC). We prefer quality members over quantity so if you're looking for a massive 100+ player kin, we're not the one for you. We're open to anyone just starting out in RP that wants guidance and help with lore, as well as to seasoned RPers.
Our backstory is optional to participate in. We accept all races/classes/levels good or evil characters welcome but we ask that your RP be credible and believable. We do follow basic lore.
You MUST have a sense of humor or you will not survive our kin. We do not allow discussion of OOC politics or religion.
Please contact Maywyn, Phaerel, Gilandrial, or Galthien either by mail or tell in-game if you have any questions or are interested in trying us out.
Take care all,
Maywyn, Founder and Councilmember, Legends of Laurelin
Hello Landroval;
I am a recently returned player to LOTRO that really doesn't know anyone who plays anymore, so I decided to start fresh. I still am a complete novice at this game, however, my highest character is level 15, I think. :D I created a dwarf Minstrel on this server (Mosili) and a woman Captain (Jessatera) and would be interested in meeting a friendly, casual kinship that doesn't mind having a complete learner join their ranks.
My role playing preference is light to none but I'm not adverse to role players, I just am not very good/into it.
Thanks!
Greeting Jaabo,
Please see the Explorerers of Middle Earth Recruitment post here on this forum. We are a medium sized, active, adult kinship open to players of all experience levels. We might be just what you are looking for. If not, then I wish you all the best in finding the kin that is right for you. There are certainly many fine kinships on Landroval, ours is but one of them. :)

I would love to start working on finishing the epic quest line. I am more than willing to help others below or above me as needed. Im just finding it more and more difficult to get pugs during the week when I play so I quess now's the time for me to join a Kinship.

Hey everyone, I am interested in finding a mature kinship whose primary focus is on fellowship and having fun, but also participates in RAIDs and PvMP. I would consider myself a casual player, but I've found the game more fun in the later levels so I may be playing more at this juncture. Contact me if you have a place for me, thanks!

Hello, I am Connor, I am looking to join a serious kinship in Landraval. I'm am a very serious person, despite my age, and am very level headed. Looking for: I would like to group more, but don't want to PUG. Would like to join a big kin with lots of rerolls that wouldn't mind having a healer.
Evening,
My girlfriend and I are looking to join a kinship, and haven't had much luck finding one on our own in game.
We are interested in a light to heavy role play kinship that has enough members to support questing, grouping and just make it so we don't feel so lonely playing all the time. We've pretty much only played together with the very few PUG's we could find along the way, and we're finding now that its not only terribly slow but awfully boring too. We really need others to play with. Its important that any kinship we join have at least 1-2 members in our level range to group with us. We're competent player's (IMHO at least,) and pretty self-sufficient, we just need more folks to play with. I should note that we come as a couple, (although we are our own individuals as well, its just that we really would like to both be in the same kinship. That's important to us.)
I have a 37 burglar and she has a 37 hunter. My character is a Man while hers is an Elf. She does Woodworking and I'm a Scholar, both nearing artisan levels. We play... a lot. More then we should really, to be honest, and are on sometimes in the mornings, but most often in the evenings and afternoons, (EST time zone.)
My character name is Ceroes and hers is Lhycia. PLEASE feel free to drop us a letter or a tell in game, or even a board mail message from here. Honestly though, in game is probably a safer bet.
I hope someone can help guide us to a kinship that will be a good fit for us. We really want to participate in something greater then our little duo and enjoy the game with others.
Thanks in advance,
~Ceroes
I am looking for an RP elven kinship if possible. If there isn't one then as long as it is RP and drama free, then I'm pretty happy. My new character on Landroval is named Galadhrion. Hi, I'm a long-time (10yr :O) MMO player, played LotrO in beta and at launch, but left after a couple months and just came back. Currently I'm lvling up this LM on Landroval and would like to join up with a kin that is mature and just likes to play the game together. I really don't PvP at all, but I do raid (well I do elsewhere and would like to here at some point :p), so looking for a group that is either more-PvE focused or at least has a healthy contingent of mature folk who PvE more than PvP.
Jorris, elven hunter. Currently level 6 or so.
I played a champion to 19, but didn't like the play style as much. I am a medium'ish roleplayer. I only know lore from the movies and The Hobbit, but I am learning more all the time. I want to create a back story and am looking for a kinship to help me with that.
The kind of Kinship I'm looking for is probably a moderate RP and medium progression. I want to experience a little of everything, but don't want to be with a bunch of hardcore you have to raid everyday group. I have a wife and baby, so they are #1 everyday and need a Kinship that understands that.
I've been playing MMO's since about 6 months before EQ2 launched. I was in SWG and did semi-RP there. Moved to EQ2 on Antonia Bayle and was an co-founder of one of the longest lasting RP guilds that may or may not exist anymore (Children of the Fall). I played a lot of WoW, no RP but did raiding, and about 3 months of DAoC on the RP server there. I am a manager in a brokerage firm and tend to become an officer in every guild I join, leadership is just something I tend to favor, but I recognize time and dedication is required to advance.
Time to stop rambling...
You can PM me on the forums or send me in game mail. I'm just looking to make some friends and have fun. It is a game after all.
Have a nice day.

What I actually do: Geophysics PhD student
Roleplaying Attitude: None to light. I have read the books about 5 or 6 times, but I haven't really tried role playing at all. Willing to give it a try perhaps, but I don't think I would like a heavy RP Kinship.
Looking for a kinship to do group quests with, and for help with crafting and advancement. Besides my main, I have a 28 hunter Master Expert Jeweller (who I play regularly) and a 28 champion (that i havent played in a long time). I don't really play any set hours, but probably I play 5-10 hours a week, usually in 1 or 2 large blocks of time. Just looking for a Kin that will help me out with some things, and willing to help back. Haven't really raided yet, but again, willing to try. Thanks to any replys I get!

Role Playing Status: Medium
Type of Player: Middle of hardcore and laid back
Kinship Wanted: I would like to join a Kinship that is, like me, between serious and leisure, that participates both in role playing and raids.
Why I'd be Beneficial: I am very personable, mature, loyal, and easy to get along with. I am a 21-year-old female college student (studying actually Video Game Art and Design) and am currently not working, so I have some free time on my hands to devote to playing this MMO.
Name: Roneth (35 Dwarf Champion)/ Marianna (27 Hobbit Minstrel)/ Bedar (20 Dwarf Guard)

What am I looking for?
I'm a mid thirties gamer who is looking for an rp oriented guild (or mature oriented non-rp guild with a family like nature). I don't mind using voice chat if necessary, but feel it can take away from the immersion of the character (sometimes you just need to use it...raids/pvp/etc...). I've been active in EQ1, DAOC, WoW, UO, and even yserbius for you older TSN/INN gamers out there.
Of particular interest to me would be to find some other adult gamers out there who enjoy the silly side of the game and are less concerned about advancement and more about helping others. I am a family man, so they come first, which usually means my gaming time is after i put my son to sleep at 7:30pm. I do travel at least once a month (for a week) to train people, but am pretty consistent for events and adventures.
If you are looking for someone that loves to help out the lower folks, and at the same time dedicate himself to the advancement of the kinship, then shoot me a PM.
Thanks!
Roneth Bloodcleaver
I've recently reactivated my account and would like to find a friendly kinship as most of my old friends no longer play.
I have several characters, although I will likely only be playing the Ureelil (and to a much lesser degree, Thalli):
Ureelil: 16
Thalli: 19
Ainith: 42
I am a light roleplayer. I respect those who role play heavily and don't break context while in normal chat, however I don't tend to speak/type lyrically or in a manner specific to my character's origins. I have been a part of a very active multi-game guild for many years (http://www.hrafnwarband.com) so I know what it takes to be a guild guild-mate. I'd prefer a kinship that is more adult oriented (adult as in mature not XXX!) and laid back. I am most certainly not a hardcore leveler or player.
Heya,
Age: 21
Name: BP_Saladin
Ingame Names & Levels: Geddoe (Race of Man Hunter) - 10, Gorobei (Dwarven Minstrel) - 8
RP Style: Light, possibly Medium, depending on your definition. (When I play, I put myself into my toon's shoes; I play as an alternate-reality version of myself pretty much)
I'd consider myself a casual gamer with an addictive MMO personality ^_^ I've played FFXI, AC, lots of WoW & CoH/CoV, and a bit of EQ.
As for playstyle, I mostly like to have fun, but I've got some powergamer roots.
I'd like to find an active kinship that I'd be able to log on at any reasonable hour and join a fellowship through, though I may be asking for a bit much ^_^
Astraea Mynfell - 48 Woman Guardian
I've recently stopped playing WoW due to a schedule change at work; I was unable to raid, and frankly, I can't find much fun outside of raiding in WoW. I'm hoping that isn't the case with LoTRO (I haven't ventured into the PvMP aspect of this game yet, but hopefully it won't be close to the horrendous bore that is WoW PVP).
(if it matters): In WoW, I was in the top alliance guild on the server, and was guild leader of said guild for quite some time; however, I soon found out there are much better people than I suited for that position. I played a druid, so I did a bit of everything. One week could see me changing specs 5-6 times from resto (healing spec) to feral (tanking or melee DPS) and back again. I chose a guardian in LoTRO because I had the most fun while I was spec'd for tanking on my druid.
I'm mostly online during the morning-early afternoon hours (anywhere from 6-7am until 2-3pm depending on the day of the week). So I'm looking for a kin with active players around those hours. Earlier leveling didn't seem as fellowship intensive, but now that I'm getting closer to 50 it seems 40% or more of my quests require fellowships and the LFF channel isn't very effective.
Anywho, give me a yell anytime ingame or a PM on the forum if I sound like your kind of person.
-Astraea
Character Name: Sokeo
Level: 31
Race: Race of Man
Class: Burglar
Role Playing Status: Heavy
Experience: I've played many different MMOs, in many varying styles of play. PvP, I've played Shadowbane rather intensively. Roleplay, I've played and thoroughly enjoyed RP-enforced MUDs and participated in a heavy roleplay guild in World of Warcraft. Raiding- I've done it before, especially in WoW, and I wouldn't mind doing it again, but only in a pick-up type of thing or rare events.
Kinship Wanted: I'd like a kinship with a focus on roleplaying. Participation in PvP is a plus, but considering LotRO's focus on PvE, it's certainly not something I'm actively seeking. I do not want a raiding intensive guild- full-time raiding is just far too demanding for a game.
Character name: Horli
Level: 20
Race: Dwarf
Class: Guardian
Roleplay: Medium to Heavy, I suppose. Although I'm ok if it's only Light, too.
Me: I'm new to LoTR Online. This is my first character. I have some experience playing WoW, and some experience RPing in a fairly hardcore sort of way in an open-source beta game called Planeshift. I don't have much experience grouping or raiding or anything of that sort. I'm friendly, although I do enjoy my sarcastic sense of humor, and more than willing to help others out or contribute to the greater good.
Kinship: I'm hoping to find a kinship that first off isn't too huge. I'd prefer a smaller, more personal group. I'm looking for people who enjoy RPing and do it quite a bit, but aren't such totally annoying sticklers as to ruin the rest of the gaming experience. So mostly I'm just looking for a group of friends who enjoy the game, but don't get super-uptight about any particular aspect. I'm not looking for obsessive RPers, mindless levelers, or overbearing raiders... Just a good, mature, quality group of gamers.

Role Playing Status: New to RP, looking for Light to Medium
Type of Player: Casual
Kinship Wanted: Social, friendly, RP, PvMP, don't like consistently logging on and being the only one on. A kinship doesn't do any good if you're the only one logged in :p
Why I'd be Beneficial: Because without me, you don't have me. Also, without me, my wife (same level Captain) won't join the guild. Seriously, it's a 2 for 1 package, we are both ex-hardcore PvP'ers (DAoC, WoW, SWG) who have calmed down a lot on playtime and enjoy playing with friends and are looking forward to our first real foray into RP play on an MMO. We aren't on for 6 hours a night, but when we are on, we are there to have fun.
Hey guys, heres my info to try to join a kinship in the game.

In game character name: Dagant
Race: Hobbit
Class: Minstrel
Level: 6 or 7(started a new server)
Role-Playing: Really don't know what it is. Haha.
Type of Kinship: Fun, caring, and nice people/kinship.
Thanks,
Dagant
P.S. I hope to see you guys soon!
Post your name, ingame level, your roleplaying status (none roleplayer, light, medium, heavy) and then post what kind of player you are (laid back, hard core or in the middle) and then post why a kinship would want you or why you would be beneficial.
Name: Leyt
Level 6 (last time I logged off) Elf Guardian, fresh to Landroval
Roleplay: Light-Medium
Player Type: Laid back or in the middle. I'm not into being the best or being the highest level, but I want to be able to "survive", I guess (to be able to solo, do well in a group, afford equipment and repairs, a horse, possibly a house, etc.).
Why would a kinship want me? I don't know. But, I would help out other members, of course. If I had some extra coin and a kin member wanted to buy a horse or a nice set of armor, I'd probably lend a little to the cause. If a member needed another member for their fellowship, I'd probably join up...And other stuff like that. Now, I'm not going to lend my heart to the game and to the kinship, but I'll do what I can. And I promise that I'll contribute no drama.

Developing the character back story as I write.
I am looking for an intensive RP guild. I don't want to the childish match-making nonsense that goes on between men and "women" in other games like WoW.
I played closed and open beta for a very long - just getting back into it now.
I play an elven Lore-master.
My biggest concern is that people are mature and actually care about acting within someone reason of how characters would act in Tolkien's world.
Character Name: Belon
Race: Dwarf
Class: Minstrel
Current Level: 10
Roleplaying Status: Light/Medium
About Me:
I'm a married 30 year old with two kids. This puts me squarely in the 8:00pm EST to about 12:00am EST play-time slot most nights, with only a bit of extra time on Fridays. My kids are 3 and 6, so they are, for the most part, past the emergency AFK stage. I'm a relatively new player to LOTRO, but I'm a veteran of quite a few other MMO's out there, so I understand the basic concepts required for fellowship play.
Why I would be beneficial to a Kinship:
I'm loyal, easy-going, and dependable. I'm generally self-reliant, but I thrive in a group setting, due to my methodical approach to problems.
What I'm looking for in a Kinship:
Mature, fun, and active during my normal play-times.
I am actually seeking a kinship for my wife and myself, so here goes...
-Myself-
In Games Names: Alcariel (Elf Hunter, 47), Ferne (Hobbit Guardian, 16), Leiawyn (Human Minstrel, 25)
Age: 22
Roleplaying: Light to none, I am comfortable with either.
-My Wife-
In Game Names: Calissa (Hobbit Burglar, 38), Winslow (Hobbit Hunter, 14), Blixa (Hobbit Minstrel, 14)
Age: 33
Roleplaying: Like myself, light to none. She is fairly new to the RP scene.
-Playing Style-
We are casual players, playing 1-3 times a week (myself usually on the higher end). Real life will always come first, and any kinship with high activity requirements is not for us. My wife is fairly new to the world of MMO games and is constantly learning, and neither of us are very experienced with raids (though I know I would love to learn and participate in a few from time to time). We would like some sort of kinship that is not race specific, as we have a range of races between us. Our kinship would also have to be LGBQT friendly, merely to prevent uncomfortable situations between fellow players.
Feel free to contact me In Game or via PM here on the forums if you'd like to give me a poke for more information :D
Ellyh Eorlmagden
Level 50, Woman, Champion
Roleplaying:
I don't actively roleplay but I do play to travel in the world of Middle-earth as opposed to just playing another MMO, and I would hope any kin I joined had a similar outlook.
About me:
I've played the game for a year now, largely on my own, as I do tend to be a bit of a soloer. I prefer playing a healer but I never really could get into the Minstrel class in this game and so I retired mine, on whom I had some Rift experience, a few months ago.
My main now is this Champion but unfortunatly I find little reason to play her lately. I've done most of what I can do alone and finding public groups for books and smaller instances is frustrating.
I'm looking for a Kinship that is active and organized enough that I can regularly find people to team up with for a variety tasks such as PvMP, books and other group quests, smaller dungeons(CD, BG, Uro, and the like), as well the larger raid dungeons eventually.

I'm a veteran of MMOs (and the RP that goes with them) going all the way back to UO. I played LotRO through the beta but my "attendance" since then has been somewhat spotty. Fortunately I have a Lifetime Sub so it's guaranteed that if I wander I'll keep coming back. My availability on a day to day basis is a bit unpredictable, at least for the short term, but I haven't been having any problem putting in a decent amount of time for the last week or so. The evenings (PST) is usually the safest bet for when I'll be on.
Generally speaking I don't have much interest in raiding or PvP but I can get really sucked into RP pretty quickly. My Tolkien lore is a little rusty at the moment but I've got a firm grasp on the basics at least.
Why I would be beneficial to a Kinship:
If I'm with a kinship for any decent length of time I start looking for a niche where I can make myself useful. In the past that's included everything from running a guild webpage/forum to being an officer to being the resident lore-buff.
What I'm looking for in a Kinship:
The less drama, at least of the OOC variety, the better. I'm definitely looking for an RP kinship of medium to heavy intensity. I'd prefer a group that isn't running their forums through GuildPortal, or would at least be open to the idea of migrating somewhere else if they're currently on GP. I understand GP is the de facto standard for a lot of groups these days but everytime I've used it in the past it's been a source of personal irritation.
Greetings!
We are a couple who enjoys playing MMO's together. I started out in EQ back in '99, moved to World of Warcraft at release, and played a stint in EQ2. My other half started with Ultima Online years ago, played for six years before moving to Star Wars Galaxies, then moved onto WoW after trying a handful of other MMO's. We are both experienced players and role-players.
We led a successful roleplay guild and casual raiding group in WoW, but we've grown rather tired of the game. We recently downloaded the trial for LotRO and are impressed with what we've seen. We're going retail this weekend and keeping our trial accounts intact for the retail version. Edit: We're in the retail version, now.
Though we've done some research on the game -- we're very much "newbies" to the LotRO universe. Obviously we've read the books, have seen the movies, but after reading some excellent profiles, I am aware that we should brush up a bit on our lore. I would say that we're both good RPers though, and worth the investment. ;)
With real life obligations (planning a wedding among them), we plan to play more casually than we have been able to in the past. We live in Ontario, Canada and are on Eastern Time. We'll play most evenings and weekends.
I also tend to enjoy planning/helping to plan RP events, if anyone is interested in that. I tend to enjoy playing alts as well, but don't necessarily *need* to have them in a kinship (though it always tends to be less lonesome that way). We're looking for a Medium to Heavy RP Kinship. We tend to like a medium-sized guild atmosphere (between 30 and 60 members or so).
Real-Life Ages: 23 (him) and 26 (me)
Our Duo Characters:
Briawyn, Level 10 Minstrel, Woman of Rohan
Renwald, Level 10 Guardian, Man of Rohan
Roleplay Status: Medium to Heavy for both of us.
Play-Style: In the middle somewhere - casual raiders in the past, enjoy questing, dungeons, and RP as well.
Greetings,
Now I am also active in Landroval and searching for my kinsmen. I heard the Riders of the Ridermark are also active there but I have not found anybody of this kinship yet. Does anybody have some news of the Riders of the Ridermark in Landroval?
Hello,
In-game name: Camillio
Class: Captain
Level: 30
I recently tried this game out after burning out on WoW after 2 years of hardcore raiding, and have been loving it. I got my character to 30 in about a week of playing almost nonstop, but have reached an impass where my quest log is filled with group quests but I am finding it near-impossible to get groups. I'd like a kinship filled with active players who work together to knock out group quests, run dungeons, give helpful/friendly advice and provide a mature team-based atmosphere. At 50 I would absolutely love to get into the high-end dungeons and raids and be an active member in that aspect of the game.
I am not into roleplay at all(in-game anyway) but hold no prejudice for those who are. =)
Looking forward to finding a kinship I can enjoy my LOTRO time with.
Greetings,
I am currently looking for a kinship. I have a several toons that I can play, which are all 50. I am not much of a roleplayer, actually not at all. Though I am open to it, if the combination of rp'ing and end game runs/questing is part of the equation. I am on the east coast, so would like to find a kinship that is also close to or on the east coast. I know it's hit or miss with that. I do enjoy the end game instances, The Rift, CD, UG, BG, etc. And would like to find someone who runs those on a regular basis..( Couple times a week maybe :) )
I would like a kinship that has much of it's active players on around 6pm est- 12ish am est. I do have several GM vocations, which are listed below.
50 Burglar GM Tailor/GM Forestor/GM Prospector
50 Lore-Master GM Scholar/Master Artisan Farmer
50 Captain GM Cook/GM Farmer
50 Hunter GM Woodworker/Master Artisan Weaponsmith/Prospector
I am a founder, been playing since closed beta, and not making any plans to head off to another MMO. I am on almost everyday, 1-2 hours depending on RL. Fridays and weekends vary but usually on after 9-10pm est and stay on til I get sleepy around 1-2am est. As far as questing and what not. I love it. I love to group with kin when able, and I enjoy the relationship that you can have with your kinship. I am able to use Vent or TS. Thank you for your time and I hope you have a wonderful day
Wonder if people still use this.
Jaorn, level 8 hobbit minstril
Aramatsu, level 26 elven champion
just recently started up again, im a medium RP/heavy RP (if the mood strikes me) player, i play when i can, mostly nights. id say i play a medium amount, though i try and level quickly. I do enjoy crafting, so i may spend a lot of time working on that.
.. It looks like you already have a kin, OninShade..
I have a 49 Captain named Impale. I want to join a kin whose focus is on raiding (particulary Helegrod and Rift). I am a light role-player with much experience in LOTRO. I also have a 50 LM, but he cannot change kinships. One final thing to mention is that I can raid on Wednesday nights and that's about it. I am limited on the weekends, but I may be able to get into a raid every once in a while at that time as well. Wednesdays are my focus.
Character Name and Race: Osricson, Man Champion
Age: 20
Location: Washington State, PST. Available usually on weeknights and the occasional weekend.
I am pretty new to the MMO scene, so I am still trying to find my way around. I usually end up soloing, as I'm able to move at my own leisurely pace. I enjoy exploring the map, seeing the sights from highest cliffs, and discovering my favorite LotR locations from the books. I enjoy to roleplay, and if in the midst of others like-minded, will contribute. I am, as of yet, still a bit shy, so I don't usually seek roleplay opportunities out on my own.
I've played Guild Wars for a couple of weeks, but never progressed very far. Other than that, this is my first MMO game.
I'm eager to learn, and willing to put time and effort in to building kin relationships. I'm a philosophy/history major who doesn't mind passing the time with interesting conversation, from deep thoughts to random musings. The LotR trilogy is a great passion of mine, and so far, this game looks like an amazing recreation of that world, so I guarantee I'll be sticking around for some time. I have a pretty good knowledge of the Lord of the Rings material, and I try to keep things in-line with the written word, although I'm not afraid to bend details to provide a better experience.
I'm first and foremost looking for a role-playing kinship that remains faithful to Tolkien's legacy. I'd enjoy a moderate to heavy amount of roleplaying, and I think it would be quite fun to be part of a kin that has an in-game story and history to interact with. I'm not all that interested in end-game raiding or PVP, although I may participate here and there. Importantly, I'm looking for a kin that will let me explore the game at my own pace, and if there is killer roleplaying done along the way, all the better.
Siawyn Piber, level 37 (almost 38 woohoo!) Woman Lore-master
Rosetea, level 11 Hobbit Minstrel
I've been playing LOTRO for a couple of months. Before that, it was Guild Wars - loved it, but miss the RP. I played an older text-based RPG for over 11 years, so I'm not new to RP and like I said, I missed it in the last game I was in. The RP was one, if not the main, reason I wanted to give LOTRO a try.
Having said that.... I'm looking for a Kinship. I guess the term is 'light' RP that I'm wanting. I don't like the 'drama' that goes on in some of the 'heavy' RP groups I've seen. (Someone a few posts back had said the same thing LOL) But I do try to stay in character unless in whispers (tells here).
I don't profess to be a lore expert, I'm very rusty, tho I'm very open to learning! I reread the LOTR after seeing the movies a few years back and read the Silmarillion when it was first published in '73 (yups, I'm THAT old) I'm pretty active and I'd like to be helpful to the Kinship.
Siawyn is from Rohan...she's got to be *I* am a horseperson! I'm trying to get a feel now for what a woman from Rohan would/should be like.... and be a Lore-master. I think a Minstrel, Guardian, Champion and Captian from Rohan is much more 'explainable' than a Lore-master. Although, having a huge Black Bear by my side protecting the foals and keeping the wolves at bay fits right in.
Please feel free to contact me. I really would like a home with open friendly, mature folks!
I need a kin again. The one I joined around last September decided to disband for the most part. I'm a very casual player. I've been playing since beta and am only level 48 on my Minstrel. I'll probably start playing more consistantly with the expansion release. I love running around new areas.
I probably won't raid or hop on your vent server, but I don't mind helping out where I can. I'm mostly just looking for an active group to chat and party with here and there.
I'm going to look through websites later when I have time, but figured I'd post here too if anyone wants to shoot me a PM with a kin that may be a good fit.
Hello all,
Character Name: Fyren
Race: Man of Rohan
Roleplay: Roleplay Friendly (doesn't bother me either way)
Class/Level: 50 Guardian/Grandmaster Cook/Prospector/Jeweler
Real Life Age: 37
Basically I am your stereotypical adult gamer looking for a low drama kinship with a concentration on endgame content. While I am relatively new to LOTRO I have been in a raid enviroment most of my MMO career(EQ/EQ2/DAOC/SWG etc etc etc) and I enjoy new challenges and the occasional dramatic death.
Currently I lack experience with LOTRO high end content but tend to be a quick study so I am looking for a like minded group of psychotic fun loving professionals to teach me the ropes.I am also interested in getting my feet wet in PVMP.
Thanks in advance
Hello! I think I may be interested in joining a Kinship now that I am getting used to LOTRO. I am a very casual player. I may play 3 to 5 times week at half hour to 2 hour intervals. See my signature for my character information. I only use my main. I really want to get into this game even more. On July 25th I will become a lifetime member. Family comes first for me. I am married with 2 little girls (ages 4 and 6). This is the main reason why my "play time" is very limited. I do want to get into a kinship to learn more about the game and help others. I am the type of player that reads each quest through and enjoys the scenery. I am in no big hurry to level up. I can get inot RP'ing too. I just want to enjoy the journey! Please let me know if your kinship is for me.
Real life age: 35
Thanks for your time!

Age: 15
In-Game Name: Fordram
In-Game Level: 8 (dwarf minstrel) (only reason im not still leveling is i am typing this)
Roleplaying: Beginner/nearly always IC (new to LOTR lore so thats why I also have beginner)
I've only been on the game for a few days, but I've been searching for a great RPing kinship and I've seen several ones that look promising......they want mature players, I can give them that. But all these roleplaying kinships I see want people 18 and over. Somewhat understandable....but I really don't plan on waiting 3 years to join a good kinship....
Character Name: Spoonbane
Race: Dwarf of The White Mountains
Roleplay: I go with the flow
Class/Level: Newbie Minstrel
Real Life Age: 39
Im a returning player, played a Burg to 30 on Firefoot then left the game. I am back playing a couple hours a night on Landroval. Currently playing a low lvl Dwarven Minstrel and looking for a kin with varied lvl ranges to group with. One reason I left was the difficulty getting good fellows together to play. I enjoy good fun and joking around on Voice, and good solid fun play in game.
Playstyle = fun
I like to progress in game, but not when it becomes work. I have years of MMO experience and Im here to relax and have a good time. Hit me up in game if you know whats good for you :P
Character: Avathanar
Race: Elf (Lorien)
Class: Hunter
Level: 50
RP Status: I'm flagged, but normally OOC unless someone wants to interact. Then about Light-Med
Gear Status: Purps with some Teal (West Ang sets, some Foro gear)
About Me: 23 Male Altaholic who works weekend evenings and on my own time on weekdays. Veteran Role-player. I'm usually on a fair amount of time. In game I'm helpful, kind, and broke.
What I'm Looking For: I'm hoping for an established Kinship that can offer me "The Complete Package" as I'm interested in EG Content, PvMP, RP, Music, and whatever else comes along. Mostly I want to have fun. I can handle Drama and rarely bring my own along.
Two players for the investment of recruiting one!
Characters: Cincinattus and Lenorelia

My wife and I both gotten back into LOTRO after about a six month absence, we'd preferably like to help out a kinship that is made up of people who haven't experienced the breadth of the content yet or have, but are only on their second alt. New guilds, or mid-sized guilds are what we're mainly interested in participating in. We're always on and very helpful to other kinship-members and we don't miss a meeting of the kinship unless we can help it. Please don't hesitate to contact us either through PM's or in-game.
Character: Dabi
Race: Hobbit
Class: Hunter
Level: 13
Roleplay: I go with the flow
New to LOTRO but not to online gaming. Do enjoy the company of a good guild/kinship.
Hey everyone,
I've decided to come back to LOTRO after about a 6 month hiatus. I'm loving it so far, but oftentimes, I'm questing by myself, selling stuff by myself, and eventually, talking to myself. With that said, I think it's time to find some others out there who would invite me into their kinship so that I can have an enjoyable return to this great game.
Some stats on my character.
Virsane
Man Hunter
Currently level 8 (re-rolled yesterday) but rising fast
I like to role play, but it's not required.
I am 24 years old in real life
I am usually online the most during the week (evenings) and mornings/late nights on weekends (with exceptions here and there)
Also, work online all day, so when I am not in game, I can visit guild site/monitor/etc.
Thanks!
Hi All,
I am fairly new to the server, I'm currently working on leveling a LM, level 19 at the moment. I also have a level 50 hunter, GM tinker, that I recently transferred.
I play most evenings after 5 p.m. EST for a few hours, more on weekends with my husband who is leveling a captain here as well. He also has a LVL 50 min that we are considering transferring if we find he's needed.
We're looking for a mature social kin that enjoys all that Middle Earth has to offer. We have children, so afk's are required from time to time. We enjoy raids, he more than I, but need to do so in a casual environment. Family and RL commitments prevent us from being available every Friday and Saturday, but we could make 3 or 4 a month.
We love to craft and help out our friends and kinmates with quest, gear, information etc.......
If your kinship sounds like this, we would love to talk with you. Please PM me here or /tell Zadie in game.
Race: Human
Level: 18-19
Class: LM
Roleplay: Casual
Looking forward to meeting some new friends,
Zadie
Hello all, I have the following:
Theadrick, 27 Man Champion
Giacamo, 15 Hobbit Minstrel (my main)
I am looking for a Light to Medium RP guild. Please send me a tell if you see me on!
Thanks in advance.
Hi there, looking for a new kinship since my old one was disbanded with no notice. :p
- Hobbit Minstrel, level 34, yeoman
- Light RP
- Usually play solo
- Casual player... I play a bunch for a few weeks and then take a month or so off at a time... so I need a kinship that doesn't expect/require constant time ingame.
- prefer a group that is mostly hobbits or shire-related
Basically I'm looking for a casual group of funny people where I can chat, trade advice, find an occasional group for questing, and just unwind. Thanks!
Greetings--
Catkins, Human male, Level 30 Champion
Roleplay - Medium to Extra Crispy
Play style - Solo or Group - I swing both ways.
I'm looking for a diverse kinship that doesn't take itself too seriously. When I roleplay, I may seem a bit goofy and tongue-in-cheek, but I'm dead serious. Dead. Serious.
Send me a letter, a PM or a tell if you're tantalized by the prospect of adding me to your kinship.
Your name, or character name and race (if known):
Larry, Main Character is Shadowbryte, Level 22 Champion, Human.
Age: (some kinships have real life age limits)
Let's just say that I am older than your average player, in fact I was born before LOTR was published.
Location. (Timezone preferences if any, state/country, etc.):
Eastern
Playstyle. (Solo, group, PvE, PvP, RAIDs, casual, hardcore, end-game, RP, no RP, time limited, crafter, “I don’t know, I’m new to this kind of game”, etc.):
Mostly solo but I would like to play more with groups, providing I could find the right one. I like to read the story line and take my time, instead of just running through an area and killing everything in sight.
MMO games you’ve played:
I am rather new to MMORPG's but I have tried out most of the well known games, WOW, EQ2, EVE, and D&DOL. All seem to have advantages and faults, but I feel the LOTR is the best for my style of play.
Why kinships should be interested in you. In other words, why choose you and not another player. What do you offer kinships?:
Maturity, OK, I'm just old and sometimes I wake up early and play in just my underwear.
What kind of kinship you are looking for. (This one is very important for recruiters):
A mature group, this does not mean age, it is attitude.
No required participation or playing times. While I do want to play with a group more I want to do it on my own terms, I don't want to be required to go on a certain raid or play at a certain time. I am a student, I work full time, and have a family, so I need to play on my schedule and not the kinships.
Light role playing.
Newbie friendly. Like I said I am still fairly new to MMORPG's
Casual Atmosphere. I still want to play the game at my own pace and don't want to feel I am being pressured into playing at someone else's.
Sense of Humor - It is a game after all, so don't take things to seriously. I looked at one kinship that required you to take a test about LOTR to join. While I have read the books, I have killed a lot of brain cells since then and my memory is not what it used to be. So if someone is going to be upset because I can't remember the name of a certain character or location I don't really need the hassle.
Before I start listing information, I just want to make note that this posting is really for 2 people. We're a couple IRL, so finding a kinship that is well suited for both of us is a must.
Names:
Roderigo and Rubia
Race:
Hobbit
Classes:
Guardian and Minstrel
Roleplay:
Light/medium, with an emphasis on in-game events.
Player info:
In terms of past experience, we're really at opposite ends of the spectrum. This is Rubia's first MMO, whereas I've at least tried most of the MMO's on the market since I left EQ1 after 5 years of playing. However, we both approach LOTRO the same...relaxed, and just playing for the enjoyment of the game. We enjoy crafting and player events, as well as running quests and factioning...kind of a "stop and smell the roses" pair, as we also take the time to acquire deeds we'd like, etc. At this point we're not really interested in raiding(she doesnt have time, and I don't care to get back into that aspect of MMOs). At the moment we normally manage to be active 2-4 hours every other night on average.
What we're looking for:
What we'd ideally like to find is a kinship that is light/medium on Roleplay(we don't care to 'walk' everywhere, or use paragraph long emotes to communicate) that has social gatherings and player events on a somewhat regular basis. The occassional raid is fine, but we don't want to be in a kinship that is focused on them, nor in one that intends to be later on. Most of all, we'd like to find a kinship where the people are friendly, mature, and helpful, and who approach the game with a relaxed mentality and are simply playing for the enjoyment of the game rather than working to max out and gear out. Any emphasis on or inclusion of a crafting network is a big plus.
Hello all! This is another couple thread, my fiancee and I are looking for a kinship that we can hang out in and have help with quests.
Names:
Zoriz: Her Guardian, level 14
Zeelatar: My Minstrel, level 14
Linthoril: My Captain, level 30
Race: Dwarves and Man
Roleplay: On the lighter side. We both prefer RP that happens when we wander around the world and don't really contribute to much to kinship chat RP. I am generally more into the RP than she is but we would both love to go to events if they happened.
Player Info: I have played mmo's since Guild Wars and bounced around a lot, with WoW getting a year or so and EvE getting a year in total. She started playing eve with me and we played that together for a while, but now that school is starting back up in earnest we wanted a more relaxed game. Our general play time while together is 730ish eastern to whenever we go to bed, usually around 1030est or 11est. My own play time is a bit more than that as I have more time to devote to the game, so I am on during days off roaming around on my captain.
What we want: A nice chill kinship that will take the three of our characters in. We want to be in a community that can help us out and that we can help out in return. She is on the shy side so a kinship would have to understand that, while I might be doing most of the talking, she is there listening =P. The main thing we want to do is quest together and we are getting to the point where we will need more than just the two of us to do the quests. So it would be nice to be in a kinship that had like leveled characters. In return for questing help we will contribute crafting and our own questing help. We also would love to get into some of the RP aspects of the game, mostly through events and impromptu conversations on the road.
Thank you for your time! See you in game.

Cuthalwe, 50 Elf Hunter
Light roleplayer (haven't really found to many people I can rely on for a mess around so far)
Play hours are relatively heavy with dry patches, mainly depending on RL social engagements and the actual fun value of what I have to do ingame. Normal hours are anytime between 17:00 and 04:00 GMT (based in England with a relatively cavalier attitude to sleep!)
Previous MMO experiance includes a moderate stint on EVE, and a (almost obligatory nowadays) few years with WoW, with which I spent mainly on Endgame raiding.
I believe I would be -and indeed hope I have previously been- a solid addition to any kinship, both in playing ability and lol output :D
I'm after a group of people with whom I can see the Rift on a regular basis primarily, as well as being interested in having a snoop around Helegrod and the 'Moors. However I'm not adamant about any of these, and any sort of regular group play (RP events definately included) is what I'm mainly after.
My time with LotRo so far has been pretty insular within the -sadly dying- kinship of an RL friend, so not knowing my way round the Landroval kinship ladder as such, I thought I may as well post here!
Look forward to hearing from people, sorry if I was a bit wordy!
Cuth.
Caleb - 22 y/o student
Dorwulf - 12 Human Guardian
I haven't done much roleplaying but am not opposed to it. I am well-versed in the LoTR lore as I have devoured most every book there is on it.
I'm really a laid back player but can sit down for a few hours at a time. I am just returning to LoTRO and just started a character on Landroval. I was playing on firefoot, but because it has so few players I wanted a server that was well-populated. I have a 42 LM on Firefoot.
I'm a veteran MMO player. I trace my MMO playing back to AC 3 months post debut. I've gone through Galaxies, AC2, AoC, WoW, and now LoTRO. I played LoTRO back in beta and am getting back into it after a brief stint at AoC. So, I think a kinship would do well to have me as I'm more than happy help people, share resources, and donate time when necessary.
I do have one caveat, though. I am a full-time student, and hold 2 jobs. So, my schedule can get rather hectic.
Hello all,
My in game name is Orphius (13 man min) and i am intrested in joing a fellowship
Orp is now in book 1 and would really like a group/guild to join as i really do not want to solo a mmo :)
i am on the west coast but do most of my playing in the day so an east coast guild is ok with me as well as far as play still goes i am from DDO (xoriat) turbines other game and was in a guild of 20-30 during its peak it fell off ( vangaurd lotr aoc) among other things, and i got used to playing 2 -4 in a party so not really a hardcore gamer but a good enough one to play in a small party and still get the job done
Any ways send me a pm if you are intrested in seeing if i fit in well with your guild
thanks
Orph
Hail Landroval,
I am Adenath, a level 23 captain and metalworker. I've been playing on LOTRO for the past two months testing out all the classes and have found my calling with the captain.
I'm looking for a medium/heavy RP kin that mostly plays during the AM hours east coast time. Working the graveyard shift has made it difficult to find any lasting friends so far.
I'm rather new when it comes to LOTRO lore but love to immerse myself when questing, having a drink at an Inn, or just relaxing by a lake and fishing or having a little pipeweed to pass the time.
I prefer quality over quantity and would love to join the ranks of a few enjoyable people. Any kins out there like that please feel free to send a PM or look for me in-game.
Name: Krodcrev, Man Champion
Level: 48
Roleplaying: none
Why: I want to join a kinship which does raids on a regular basis, the moors, the rift or hele, I want to do them all. I play most nights and I am willing to be available for scheduled events. PM me if you have any questions.
Thanks.
In-Game Name: Mirdan
Level: 15
Class: Captain
Roleplay Level: Medium-Heavy
Gameplay Level: I'm a little inbetween hardcore and laid-back, more towards the laid-back side however.
I would like to find a helpful guild, one which has an active prescense on the server and does, monthly/weekly RP events. I like to be involved but at the same time I like to be discreet. I would appreciate any Kinship offers I get.
Nevermind, guess I'll start playing again when Moria comes out, maybe some actual friendly people will join then and I'll be able to find a Kinship. Thanks for the one offer though (although it wasn't was I was looking for, not being a role-player)!
Name: Galifon
Current Title: of Mirkwood
Level: 20
Location: EST (New York Area)
Sex: Male
Age: 19 (I am mature even for my age though)
Status: Casual player; Heavy RPer with a love for LOTRO and enjoying my time leveling. Also note, I am a full time student Monday-Thursday, so my playing time will be minimal during those days. I also have family matters to attend to on a daily basis, so my gaming time will be even more limited.
Greetings all!
My name is Galifon of Mirkwood, and I have returned from my travels abroad in this realm of "earth". I have been gone so long that my skills as a Lore-Master have somewhat begun to fade, but I am learning fast and seem to have the vast majority of my memory back.
I will not lie. My times on "earth" require me to take breaks some might call long, and sometimes it may seem I have taken upon myself to not return. This is not true. My duties to this world hold me back some, but I am ready and willing to return with a force unheard of in my times!
I seek a Kinship of Mature players, those that love to enjoy the wonders and beauty of the game, and enjoy Roleplaying more often than not. I most enjoy the events that take place upon this land of Landroval, and seek to partake in more events as I can attend. I also would like fellows that enjoy a slower-paced life, who would rather sit back at the Prancing Pony and smoke a bit of Pipeweed when not out questing or are just up for a good time.
Note: From those that remember me from my days long past, I was a member of the Merry Masses of Midgard. We were a fun, music-oriented kinship where we shared tales by the fire and sang till the sun set and our hearts (and belly's) were full. I am sad to see that go, but I bring the same level of enthusiasm to any new kinship as I did to MMM. Praise be to the Merry Masses of Midgard, may it's ideals live on in the reign of all kinships! For a sampling of my previous work, visit Here (for a musical gathering of members)
OOC - I'm a very friendly player and respect everyone and anyone that I may come across in this game. I am a seasoned MMO player and know my way around a map. As I've said, it's been awhile, but I'm a fast learner. I'm looking for people who are like me, love this game that they enjoy the small things this game has to offer, while still taking advantage of all that is around them. I really look forward to getting back into this game, as I've missed it so much.
I shall continue my post again from earlier.
I am Adenath, A now level 25 captain and metalworker. I've been playing on LOTRO for the past three months testing out all the classes and have found my calling with the captain.
I'm looking for a medium/heavy RP kin that mostly plays during the AM hours east coast time. Working the graveyard shift has made it difficult to find any lasting friends so far.
I prefer quality over quantity and would love to join the ranks of a few enjoyable people. Any kins out there like that please feel free to send a PM or look for me in-game.
As of my first post, I have tried a few kinships and regret that none have fit me too well. I thank those that invited me, all were great people. But rarely was anyone on at the times that I play(EST mornings).
Perhaps I will try my own Kin, medium/heavy RP, nothing to fancy, just others like me that like to chat IC, quest, craft and share stories of glorious battles. If anyone has an interest, please don't hesitate to let me know. Until then, I shall continue searching for my place.
If I lived in Landroval, I'd be home now :)
I have recently returned for the free weekend/4 day trial period. I've been playing doing some killing solo for a bit, but a lot of the reason I play a game online is for the companionship.
I am looking to join a kinship on the server again, as mine died out while I was gone.
I have a level 47 Dwarf Guardian (almost 48), a level 18 Hunter, and a level 9 Minstrel. I have GM'd Weaponsmithing/Farming/Prospecting/Cooking/Woodworking and would love to be able to share my craft skills with others and help others out.
I am looking for a medium level RP kinship, where RP is not enforced, but a lot of people enjoy doing it and can sit around for maybe an hour every once in a while and/or RP out some kind of scenario or situation while we go questing once in a while.
If anyone would like to have me, please drop a reply and I'd love to hear from you!
Greetings kinships of Lanrdoval. I'm fairly new to this land and am looking for a solid kinship to take up ranks with.
I currently have a level 12 man, hunter of Rohan origin. I've only been playing here for a few days but I've played on various other servers with various combinations of class and race. I've finally decided to settle here as I'm looking to get into the RP aspect of the game as I think this is a perfect game setting to do so.
I don't have a large amount of experience in LoTRO or with the lore, but I've looked around at kin postings and most seem open to taking in newcomers and helping them get into the RP aspect of the game.
I've played many other MMOs (SWG, WoW, AoC, CoH/CoV) and I've been a part of many guilds/clans in my time. Some as an officer, some as a loyal member.
I'm hoping to find a kin that looks for quality over quantity in it's members and has an adult member base (25+). I'd like a fairly structured kin that plans out events and holds raids, but not so structured that playing the game becomes your second life.
Above all else, I'm looking for a friendly guild that's looking for an honest, loyal and friendly member.
As to real life, I'm 29 and work from home, home being Chicago, IL. I'm on throughout the day but mostly in the evenings from 7-10.
If you think I'm a good fit for your kin, please send me a PM and hopefully we can meet up. I'm going to try and hold off joining anyone for a few days to make sure I get a good variety of offers.
Cheers and safe journeys,
Killwyn
Hello,
I've had LOTRO since beta and have never really found a kinship thats suited me. I play on and off, for like a couple of months at a time. I'm a 16 year old high school student (I believe myself to be mature, so I hope age isn't a problem, as many kinships look for 18+ members), so work has to come first. I usually play a couple of hours during the week, and play heavily on weekends.I'm currently on a stretch starting from January. I originally created a character on Silverlode, but came here with my second character. I have a level 35 Man Champion and what really slows me down is looking for groups. I have probably gained about 10 levels in the past 3 or so months, and that is not too fun, although I finally have a horse now. With this character, I've joined one kinship after grouping for a day, but only to find out later that they were primarily lvl 50's looking to raid. I want to join a kinship that is casual, has none to medium rp, maybe crafting, and that I can turn to if no one is answering on the LFF channel. I hate waiting for days/weeks finding a group for some quests. Also, I want a group of people who play somewhat by the lore, I hate when people have ridiculous outfits on, or have lore-breaking names. Hopefully there is a kinship out there that I'd be interested in.

Hullo, This is Delmond
Personal: Married 35 year old father of an infant
RP: Light to Moderate/ RP is how I want to play
Style: Laid back solo/ looking to group with laid back people
Time Playing: 1-2 hours a day 3 to 4 times a week
I have not RP'd since high school but I left WOW for LOTRO specifically to Role Play. I am looking for an Adult kinship that is RP exclusively with the exception of OOC comments regarding playing time ie: Gotta run, baby's crying, wife calling. It is my goal to RP but there are situations beyond control that interrupt game play and I would hate to just bail on my kin without letting them know what's up. I am not concerned with power leveling or pvp. What I am concerned with is enjoying Middle Earth with like minded friends in an RP environment. I have not been playing long so I have a lot to learn about LOTRO but will help out the kin any way I can, even if it means you have to explain to me how. If it sounds like I would fit in your kinship let me know.

Beylor here...
Personal: Married 28 year old, full-time job and full-time student
RP: Moderate to heavy
Style: veeeery casual... I usually just roleplay when I'm on...
Time Playing: 1-2 hours a day 0-4 times a week.
Character: Beylor
Lvl: 8 (9 soon)
Race: man
Class: guardian
MMO's played: lotro... have played / still play pen and paper rpg's
I have been playing since last September, and have played mostly on Silverlode. I recently started dividing my time between Silverlode and Landroval. Due to my schedule, I obviously can't get online as much as I would like.
Why pick me? I'm a fun :) experienced roleplayer who's willing to help out with whatever. Just looking for some interaction to build my story and contribute where I can. Plus I'm low drama, and could care less about loot and all that jazz.
What I am looking for: roleplay heavy kinship with... well... casual ideas about how much you need to be online. I think the longest I usually go without logging in is about a week and a half, and usually I'm on atleast once a week. I'd check kinship sites daily though.
3 paragraph-ish bio available upon request :)
Primary Character: Gwathcelebren (Level 50 Elf Guardian - Grand Master Farmer, Grand Master Weaponsmith, Master Scholar)
Alts: Welent (Level 36 Dwarf Guardian - Grand Master Prospector, Master Metalsmith, Master Tailor), Gailmalthen (Level 17 Elf Champion)
I like moderate roleplaying, since I've been a Lord of the Rings fan for many years (ask me about my tats sometime). I'm a laid back player who puts in about 15 hours per week as of right now. I'm mostly on between 8-10 am EST, but if I know an event is coming up I can schedule for it. I feel as though I've gone as far in the game as I can on my own and want to join up with a mature group of players interested in instances, PvMP and/or raids.
I feel I would be an asset to a kinship because of my dependability and my willingness to put my craft skills to good use for a group.
Anyone who wants more or information or just to contact me in general can mail Gwathcelebren in-game or contact me directly at gphilli5@yahoo.com
Hello mates on Landroval;
I just joined a new kin, and i would like to thank everyone for all the help in finding a kin.

herantonija - lvl 50 champion
I am level 44 Dwarf Champion and a Level 42 Dwarf Minstrel looking for a guild, I am a light to medium roleplayer mostly have played with my wife so did not do much anyhow. I am an in the middle to hardcore player depending on my time available to play. I am looking for a kinship that is not requiring alot of play time due to limits at times.
Andfang, level 47 (but moving fast) Hunter, Race of Man
This is my main. I played during open beta, then after release and quit for an extended period to play WoW with friends (it was against my will, I swear). They all went on to play Warhammer and I came back to my true love, LotRO, a month or so ago when they reactivated the accounts. I have since pre-ordered Moria, bought a lifetime subscription, and am completely committed to this game.
I'm a light-to-medium role-player, but I don't necessarily need that in a kinship as I can just as easily do it outside the kin, but it is certainly welcomed. I must admit I'm very big on the lore of Middle-Earth. I'm currently in graduate school studying Medieval Literature and have taken classes on Tolkien and his works... so yeah...
Here is my plight: I'm so very tired of PUGs and sitting around trying to find a group for Book quests. While I have met some great people and added many to my friends list, I hate the sitting around, wasting time. Right now I'm looking to join a kinship who is willing to catch me up on the Epic quest (currently on Book 10) and help me get geared up for Moria. I'm not incredibly hard-core, but I do play for couple hours everyday (I suppose that is hardcore). I am also not selfish at all; if anyone needs help, I am always more than willing to help catch others up (I've done it many times with PUGs so that I could catch the fellowship up to my chapter).
I've looked into a number of guilds on the lorebook and here in the forums, even applying to a few and getting no response. So here is my formal call for a kinship to welcome me into their ranks. If I fit your criteria, please shoot me a PM. I'll check out your kin and see if it sounds like a fit and we'll go from there!
Thanks,
dtwynn

Personal Info ~
Age: Ancient Iron comes to mind....46
RP: Moderate
Playing Time: Weekdays, 1-2 hrs. evenings (EST) Weekends, 6-8 hrs.
Character Info ~
Name: Daenith Erlundir
Class/Race: 50 Guardian, Race of Men
Greetings all. Daenith has been around since the game was called MEO, "Middle Earth Online". I like so many others, am a casual player but have managed to get well into Book 7. Since then however, I've run into a wall as PUGs are quite difficult. I'm very laid back, enjoy grouping and helping out in whatever way I can whether it be with quests or crafting. Originally I had intended to RP a Ranger here and was with the "Rangers of Anadune", if any of you remember that Kinship.
Thanks in advance for your consideration and help and safe travels to you all.
Greetings to all. I'm a "new" player to LotRO, in that I haven't played since just after release. I had originally played the game during beta, and gave it a shot. Unfortunately, I had high hopes of friends joining the game with me, but they barely gave the game a second glance before returning to that 11-million player game we all love to hate.
I recently re-activated an account and started on Landroval. I'm interested in some light RP, although this would be ideally focused around guild-sponsored events and not something that bogs down the general experience (although throwing some IC actions/dialogue in-between the game's books would probably be fun!).
I'm starting a Minstrel, as I love playing support classes. I have played one to around lvl 20 previously, so I have a solid grasp of the basics. I'll probably level a Burglar down the road as well.
I am not a hardcore player and play inconsistently based on work/family (10-15 hours a week on average). I am active, both in games and forums for the games I play, but my availability to play is often restricted.
I'd like to find a kinship that is willing to work with a newer player and make them feel at home, both in the game and in the 'guild'.
I play in the EST time zone, typically between 8-10 Eastern (give or take), and I am currently trying to persuade my wife to try the game, so a couple-friendly kindship would be a must.
On a side note, I'm not looking for anyone to powerlevel or "run" me through content; I want to experience everything on my own. I would certainly appreciate a group that is willing to help support a lower-level member with specific 'book' content, as from what I recall some of that can be impossible without a fellowship.
I'm willing to discuss this further with anyone interested. Thanks in advance, and safe travels to all.
I've got a level 34 Captain named "Rokmai". I just came back to the game after taking a few months off. And, now that I've got Mines of Moria pre-ordered, I wanted to buff my character up a bit. I left last time because my kinship disbanded and I wasn't much for PUGs, so I was hoping to find a group with some active players in my range, to keep me entertained and help me get through some quests.
Name: Ravenwise
Ingame Level: 50
Race: Man
Class: LM
Roleplaying Status: Light
Player Style: Casual group oriented
I have tried a few different Kins at this point, but I always run into the same problem, my schedule just doesn't allow me to do late night raids and that seems to be the only time anyone will run them.
I am desperately looking for a Kin that does regularly scheduled raids/questing on weekend mornings. Is there such a Kin? If you are in one, or know of one that keeps such a schedule please PM me.
I have multiple chars at or approaching 50.
Thanks,
Greetings, i am looking for a mature med-rp kinship.I have rp'd in previous games but i am new to lotr lore so i am still learning this stuff. In Rl i am 34 years of age and I enjoy the game and i also play est time. my ingame name is Wyntora lvl 10 lore-master
Hi Everybody,
Based on my preliminary investigations it seems that Landroval is the place for me to be ... I thought I'd do what Bogo The Hobbit recommended and post here ...
Character: Amalythya
Ingame level: 3 (but likely to be going up soon)
RP status: It just depends who I'm interacting with but I like it hot'n'heavy if I can get it
Kind of player: Probably somewhere in the middle but this is a strange question that depends again on the situation
Race: Elf female
Class: Minstrel
Due to the nature of my style, I prefer a kinship for mature adults only.
A little about me - I started on Gladden with a similiar character but heard that it wasn't the place to be for RP. I'm looking for something with a fairly lively RP element while still being able to do all the quests/combat activities too. I've only been involved in LOTRO for about a week but got a lifetime membership so I'm planning on being around for a while.
I like RPing with a slightly darker edge skirting the borders of reality and fantasy: the type of stories that immerse you and threaten reason. I thrill on emotional surges that come with relationships and their twists and turns. I don't know if it is necessarily what I will find but I'm open to it. With that said though, I need to disclaim it all by saying that it is RP and not RL. I am looking to have fun and expect those I play with to enjoy playing with me too.
Hey there, I'm looking for a kinship in Landroval where I can find people to freestyle with on the music system. Doesn't have to be a music kinship, just one with a few keyboardists who like to jam. I've got a new MIDI controller and I'm not too shabby with it.
Just a note - after reading the Traveling Bards' post in this forum, I should say that I'd prefer a kinship for my main character, so that I can find groups for doing quests and crafting and whatnot as well as people to freestyle with.
Character: Ulweard, lvl 25 human minstrel
My age: 24
Time online: When I'm on, it's usually around 11:30 PM -2:00 AM Pacific time (that's 7:30 - 10:00 GMT) but I'm sometimes on in the hours before that.
Playstyle: I like both solo and group stuff. I'd like to get more into the crafting system. I can do RP if I have to, but preferably the kind where you just speak as your character instead of writing out whole paragraphs in /emote from the POV of an omniscient narrator.
I'm a pretty casual player, I'm on around twice or three times a week and I don't like the idea of needing to be on the server regularly at a particular day and time.
Name: Adardin Level 50 Elf Hunter
RP: None
Age: 26
Gameplay: Usually on 4-5 days a week for anywhere from 1-8 hrs at a time, (mostly after 7pm EST) just depends on RL. Usually very laid back when playing and been soloing mostly since my last kin sort of died on me. Looking for a kin that does end game raids and is active.
"Hail and well met! I am Egelmund, son of Efelmund, and I come from the lands of the Rohirrim, where my father's fathers dwelt. I am looking for an active kinship with which to journey across this great Middle-Earth in search of foes, and adventure."
^Hi everyone! I recently came back to LOTRO and I'm looking for an awesome kinship to be a part of. I like to RP, so a RP Kinship suits me well, along with being fun, helpful, and friendly. Hope to hear from some of you soon!
Egelmund, I invite you to visit our website at http://heirsofcoruhir.guildportal.com/. Based on your introduction, I think we might be a good fit for you.
I think you're kinship suits me very well! I've applied to you're kinship, my Guild Portal name is Grimmigrabe, but it may show that I applied with my one character, Egelmund.
