Well . . . it's up to you . . . and this, admittedly, is a long shot, but it sounds like you may be interested in Club Eclair.

You'll see threads on this forum for Club Eclair. We're slow-leveling roleplaying group determined to experience the stories in each of the areas we adventure in.

Because we are a group, we even get to do the fellowship stuff when we come to it. We use the XP Disabler so that we can experience the context at its proper level - or near to it. (We actually adventure about 5 levels below the content, which makes it a bit more adventuresome.)

In August, Club Eclair is starting a new story: Club Eclair: Into Moria. The dwarves of the Blue Mountains are calling for help to reclaim Moria. The gathering will start with a level cap of 50, will march from Gondomon to Moria, and then "roleplay" its way through the adventures from level 50 at Durin's Threshold to level 65 at Dol Guldur. There are completionists with us, so we'll make sure to complete what can be completed. And when we get to group adventures such as the Grand Stairs or Dark Delvings, and the skirmishes, since we are a group, we will be able to do those as well.

(Currently, we are in The Rift at Level 48.)

Now, this part about not being good at roleplaying . . . . that's not to worry about. Here's an easy way to ease into it . . . roleplay somebody who doesn't talk much until he or she is more comfortable with a group. But, anyway, it is not some great skill that one is required to master.

I play anywhere from 8-36 hours a week, it totally depends on work. That being said, I always make time on the weekends and am sure that would be towards the higher end if a good group is found.

not really into roleplaying, love to raid, being locked at 75 i'm trying to find a group that does isengard on level perferable t2. and i'm just starting to dip my toes into pvmp on Cetha.
it really depends how much i can play each week with how busy real life is. but if a raiding schedual was implemented i would rearrange things to make sure i show up.
On Cetha i've made the goal to finish every landscape deed and instance deed, excluding festivals. so heavy grinding when i get into the mood, but i am making sure i dont get burnt out.

Iffen you know of a hobbit what might want to become a Bounder there's a kinship what works out of a Bounder station they built in Addernotch homestead.

They're called the "Bounders of the Shire."

They're quite roleplay friendly. Their officers gather outside the Bounder station in Michel Delving at the crack of noon every Saturday to discuss things happening during the week. One can meet them there. Or just send a post to Gennyrose, Meadowlarke, or Filidor. There's others . . . . Ayrhawk, Daffodilia, Dyonaea, what are also officers, but you'll likely catch the first three mentioned sooner rather than later.

We've been about for over 10 years . . . so well established. We have our cultures and traditions.

We live in dangerous times, and you can't have too many friends iffen the times are dangerous. So, iffen you know of anybody what might want to enlist, we'll be willing to take any application.

I'm a returning player with several years of play under my belt. I took a very long sabbatical (was originally on Firefoot) so I'm just now starting to get the knack of things again, still a long way to go though. I'm an older gaymer and would love to find a mature but not stuffy Kin who is at least LGBTQ tolerant if not completely LGBTQ. I play mainly in the am of EST into early afternoon with evening play from time to time. I would love to find a Kin who does some light to moderate RP or at least some RP events.

Per title, I am a recent returnee, lifetime sub. I have re-rolled a new character to relearn the game as it has been sometime since I was last able to commit time to this wonderful world. Currently running a lowbie Man Hunter, but will also be running a Man Minstrel shortly.

What I am looking for in a kinship:

- Social, chatty people. I expect to have to solo loevel for the most part, and understand there aren't as many lowbies anymore. But I do love to converse, and have a pretty good sense of humor.
- End-game raiding opportunities. I'd love to be able to contribute!
- Patience. I have a lot of game-related questions. I'll be happy to return the favor for future newbies, but right now... there's a lot I don't know.

What I am not looking for:

- Hard-core, constantly in-character RP. It would be nice to have, but so many people just... cant do it well.
- Elitist raiders, end-game snobbery, drama, and cliques. I prefer to play a video game, not simulate Junior High school.
- Newbie guilds with 10 members (3 online at any one time), "reforming/rebuilding" guilds that take just about anyone with a heartbeat, or vanity guilds.

As I said, I've played since beta and tried many different characters. I was most active during Moria and Mirkwood, and played Warden, Champion, Guardian, Minstrel, and Burglar to at least 65. Right now I'm just trying to see if LOTRO is still a fit and I'd love for a kin to socialize with.

I'm a longtime player who has been looking for a kinship for several years now. I don't plan too often each week, but I'm very interested in progressing my main through the epic storyline while still catching as much of the lore as possible. I'm a tremendous fan of JRRT's works, read Silmarillion, The Hobbit and the LOTR series on a regular basis and just love the world of Middle Earth. My in-game Main is Nemras, a Level 40 Guardian man. Been playing him since I started in 2007 (yep, haven't even broken level 50 yet) plus several off-and-on toons I use mostly to accrue LOTRO Points, crafting, and to see what other classes/races have to offer. Not into player vs player combat and absolutely hate in-game drama and real-world discussions. I log into the game to escape politics, religion, and real-life responsibilities and just want to discuss lore with others. I mostly solo explore, but sometimes grind for skills and levels. I have the Moria, Mirkwood, Isengard and Riders of Rohan expansions, and plan to buy the other expansions once I get close to those levels. I've used LOTRO Points to unlock the Beorning and High-Elf races and really enjoy my toons of them. In RL I'm a full-time Engineer in Michigan and have a wife and four kids. I don't play too often besides most Friday nights between 10 PM and 3 AM EST. REALLY interested in joining a kinship in hopes of making some in-game friends to enhance the game experience and who can help me in Fellowship quests. I've come back from a couple years hiatus and I'm stunningly far behind (I always was; this is not a result of the hiatus!). I'm in a guild of my own of like five people and the only active one right now is me, lol, so I'm looking to move to an actual active kinship if there are any out there!

At this point I just wanna blast through stuff, see what I missed as fast as I can manage. I used to be more into RP back at the beginning of the game but that's not on my to-do list at all right now.

I main a hobbit burg; she's just level 58. The furthest I've seen was Lothlorien and I made a determined solo journey full of screaming terror just to get even there. Anyhow, I don't claim to be even a proficient player of this or any class but hey, I do my best and I'm fairly nice, so there's that.

Information: I'm less interested in running content with a group than I am having a group to RP with. I like playing Londhir as a lone, wandering scholar. As an immortal elf, he's not considered with constantly being in someone else's company. He was part of a very small, RP-heavy kinship centered around a small group of Noldor, but I joined after it's heyday and never got to do any RP-ing with that group before they all disappeared and the kinship dissolved. I'd love to have that feel in a kinship again. As a Tolkien junky, I prefer deep, mature storylines, and a slower pace.

I am making my first journey into this game. However I am an MMORPG gamer of over two decades. And before that pen and paper. I have been in small and large guilds. Both as leadership and canon fodder as it were. 45 years old. Big family. Live in California.

I play at least a few hours a day often more. It’s all new to me so I don’t expect that to wane for a long time. I have a flexible life so I can be around when needed.

First and foremost in life and hopefully in lotro I am a musician. It was a huge draw to this game and this server once I discovered it’s existence.

I write and produce music and I have begun devising my plans for an in game tribute band. I have been in more than a couple actual tribute bands in my time and they can be a lot of fun if everybody buys into the concept.

I prefer to use the chat window and not voice to communicate but can listen when required and talk if necessary for a given situation. In game I am an adventurer and crafter. Not much into PVP or I suppose in this case PVM. In no hurry to get to end game. But I have interest in it none the less. In regards to solo/group play I would say 50/50. But that depends on the day often. It’s all relative to what’s going down that day. I’m good either way.

I prefer to roleplay. To me that is one of the biggest joys of these games. So if you contact me in game you will get an in character response but just tell me to cool it and we can communicate ooc.

I made a healthy investment into the game. It was like buying a new computer lol. A second account houses my daughters characters and my other instrumentalists for accompaniment. I am a refugee in need of a new home and new people. Plan to stay a while if I am welcome.
