It's Turbine. The speculation is that it's related to Bullroarer, and moving more resources there and off the live servers, as it seems to happen every time there is load on the test server before a big update. You will find that wardens, if played correctly/well, are near impossible to beat 1v1 on a reaver. If you're R10, can get them to half, and manage to devastate on back-to-back Dev. Strikes, it might be easier.Quote:

While foregoing powers may level the playing field a bit, there is a small part of me that feels it's like keeping one hand behind your back. I mean have I really beaten a Guardian or Warden if they chose not to use their self buffs? I think that a player who is testing their limits by holding back on certain powers is laudable, but I guess I don't really feel it's cheap if someone chooses to uses the skills inherent in their class and race to their fullest.
This is all intellectual of course. In real life I would appreciate all freeps using only auto-attacks when in my vacinity.:)
(OK...on further thought, in a 1 vs 1, HIPS, DF, And any sprinting away to avoid the coming death are all bad form)

I do not request anyone save any CDs when fighting me. I enjoy winning when my opponent pops everything. If I have to take a loss, I like knowing it took everything they had to beat me.

I think the guardian build, at its core, shouldn't need to "rely" on pledge in a 1v1. That is of course entirely depending on who and what you are fighting( and your ability as a player), but I think I can generally apply that statement here without too much of a backlash.
If a champ can take down a reaver without pledge, surely a guardian can. I mean sure, the champion does a lot more damage, but the guardian has a couple of burst heals, and can E/P attacks.

Diminishing returns does work! It's set on a 45 second timer. The stuns will become shorter and shorter as long as you keep trying to CC within that 45 second span. After 45 seconds of not cc'ing you can then CC for it's full duration again. :)Quote:

So, let me tell the story as it actually happened.
I'm mounted just east of the lower norbogs, Snapper is standing there facing the base of stab. I dismount and get him in combat and put up Controlled Burn and start to fight him. Instead of engaging straight away and fighting me like any reason should, he starts backpeddling towards TR. I know he is grouped with Mawz as the two of them have been all over EC all day and he even admits as much. So, seeing me burn a c/d in CB, he intends to call Mawz in on me. I'm not a fool and recognized it right away. So, I burn sprint and get on him. As Snapper is almost dead, I see Mawz approaching from TR HS. At about that time, an R/k and a Warden are coming from the base of stab towards TR and Mawz proceeds to fight the two of them. I finish off Snapper with a remorseless crit and head north towards the bears where, coming from the tr rez, I get caught by a WL and a spider. Meanwhile, Mawz kills the R/k and I have no idea what happened to the Warden. So, I duck down into the norbogs, throw up CBR and make for stab. In an attempt to root me, the spider falls behind, the root not sticking due to CBR. The WL continues to follow me, and just as I reach the little hill heading up to stab, Aradah throws me an LM heal and I proceed to take out the WL. I then make it to EC with plenty of health remaining.

Thanks Borfinn! Ya im enjoying my reaver too much. Also for all who didn't know, I guess now the secret is out. Destroybuzzlightyear+Baskloin= Me. I only recently began to tell people as getting my reaver semi-solo able required me to raid up. I have nothing against raids,but I enjoy the thrill of 1v1s waaaaaaayyyyyy to much, hence why I solely solo (no pun intended there) unless im with a kin mate or two. After killing a not-so-skilled guard I can't remember that popped pledge twice along with a few champs, I began to feel like my reaver was truely awesome and have been soloing with him since. Perhaps I need to take a break and grab a rank or two, but its too much fun. So peace to all ive had the pleasure of fighting and hope to see you all out there, on Bask or Buzz.
