Watch the vid in the last thread and look how many RKs are there. Buffs favor melee classes and stacking burglars/champs/captains/minstrels is optimal. We can put out decent numbers on 3 targets while in berserk fire mode (soon to be fixed™) which is handy far less often than single target dps.
At the moment, yes, the minstrel buff favors melee classes. Therefore in a group that is strictly designed to do the fastest DPS burn for kicks then yes, you'll be taking burglars/champs/captains/minstrels. Stacking burgs for ridiculous dps runs has always been a thing, and probably always will be. However, the minstrel buff is getting nerfed and will no longer favor melee classes (and I'm pretty sure that was the only one that directly did so) and a lot of fights have situations that favor ranged dps over melee anyway.

Show me your parses with fire or lightning "sustained dps (2-5 minutes)" of around 1500-1700, AT RANGE, on a single training dummy without help or buffs from other classes.
Two problems with this: First, I don't have the best gear or the best setup nor have I ever claimed to have it. Those parses in those threads are by people who have the time and the wherewithal to gather the best gear and jewelry and whatnot that exists for the sole purpose of putting out the highest numbers, and I simply do not have either. Even if I did have the time, assembling a glass cannon super dps setup to go wail on a dummy with is hardly something I would consider to be the best use of my time in any case. Second, fire is the highest dpsing trait line that we have, and fire parses on training dummies are impossible due to DoT resets, which you'd know if you'd ever tried one.
Considering what I can put out going lightning on one of those dummies even with my relatively mediocre gear, I find it rather difficult to believe that the people with the best gear couldn't hit at least 1500 sustained with lightning on one of them if they kept trying so as to get one with an inordinately high number of crits. But given that no one apparently feels the need to post any RK parses at all anywhere, I guess we'll just have to keep making baseless assumptions and rely upon vague anecdotal evidence.

A frost chisel would be cool as well, but I wont know what to give that as I have no idea what the intentions for the frost line are. (+2 aoe targets?)
For healing you can either use the writ riffler or the prelude riffler. Also, the finesse chisel would also be viable again for the moors.
'id rather buff other rifflers than nerf one, and martial training is getting changed to something caster friendly anyway (Atleast ZC said he was interested in changing i)
I dont want ANY more nerfs to Rks, only buffs are allowed!
Otherwise im gonna train my burg up and be ezmode on it until mordor...
And now as other rifflers need buffs..GET READY TO LAUGH!!!
Heal riffler:
5x prelude insta heal OR 3x the HoT
Fire riffler:
Wrath of Fire skills will put the Enflamed Runes buff on you, which can stack up to five times. Each buff increases fire damage by 3%. Instead, witht he riffler it doubles (6%) or give our skills more ticks (1-3)
Finesse riffler:
The finesse on it should be doubled
writ riffler:
Writs doable on move insta cast regardless of attunement

I don't mean to offend, but if you ever reach high end gear with your RK, then your opinions will have more weight. I have close to their high end gear and I can't approach - ("sustained dps (2-5 minutes)" of around 1500-1700, AT RANGE, on a single training dummy without help or buffs from other classes.)
I can burst *for a few seconds to ~1800 dps at melee range*, but thats deadly for RK in most cases and it isn't sustained dps. I put my parse in another thread awhile ago, but no RKs are willing to step up. I'd really like to see an exceptional RK dps player that can match those other parses.
Re: Post those ideas here!
Parsed 1300 with Lightning on the Galtrev dummies
Average solo build
6,8k Morale
8k Power
24k Tactical Mastery
7,3k Crit
btw..I know the Champions with >1600 Single Target DPS..they have slightly over 5k Morale and above 30k Physical Mastery

I know that I can approach 1k DPS over a 2 minute period with a build that consists of ~75% tactical mastery (not counting CV buff) and 18.5% crit chance if I get lucky with my crits. I've seen people talk about having 100%+ tactical mastery and maxed crit rating. That's a 33% increase in base direct damage output coupled with a 35% increase in base crit chance, on top of the benefits of more consistent application of the best lightning buffs one of which provides another direct 15% damage increase. I find it incredibly difficult to believe that those people can't manage a one-off parse of 1500 DPS over two minutes on a training dummy, especially if they had the 5-set bonus from the Isengard lightning gear.
Those threads in the other class forums exist for a single purpose: To make the people posting in them look good, and to make the class look good. If you keep doing parses in your absolute best gear, you will eventually hit a parse that had an inordinate number of crits that is extremely above average so you can post your one-off parse and claim that its average.* But there is no thread like that for RKs. So people look at those threads and see "Average champs do 1700 unbuffed DPS" and "Average hunters do 1600 unbuffed DPS" and they look at their own numbers with whatever gear they have and march to the forums in an outrage. There are no substantiated numbers by the best RKs anywhere on this forum. We have no basis for a real comparison. All we have is hyperbole and angst. I don't need the best gear in the game to say that people are making biased, unfair comparisons between this class and the other ones, because that's not opinion. That's fact. I'm not saying objectively that we don't need any buffing at all, because I don't have any real objective information. What I'm saying is that this forum simply does not contain enough information to make any real determination at all. If anyone has real information about what the best RKs are doing damage-wise I would love to see them, because so far I have seen nothing of the sort.
*Not claiming that everyone who posts in those threads does that, but if less than half does I'd be very surprised. Add that to the fact that the best parses in the champ forums are coming from champs with 6k morale and even pretending that those numbers are realistic is ridiculous.

Thanks for doing the parse. Can you post a screenshot and give details such as duration and range?
Re: Post those ideas here!
Sorry no Screenshot, did it at 1:30am local time, just before going to bed and forgot to take one
It was around 2 minutes and I still know that Essence of Storm was the skill with the highest DPS, follow by Scribe Spark
Don´t know anything else anymore though
Edit: Oh and I use full ToO set (5 Erebraw, 1 Eglerin)
Re: Post those ideas here!
[unite] Nursejen: 'Nursejen scored a devastating hit with Coda of Fury on the Isen Warg-rider for 10,296 Light damage to Morale.'
Who said EC is OP?
Re: Post those ideas here!
My EC crits between 6,5 and 8k on a regular basis, it´s almost an autocrit, crit rate feels like it is something between 70% and 80%
That´s with a high morale build (7500) and only 23k Tactical Mastery
Re: Post those ideas here!
Hello!
Sorry if these ideas are reposts, but I'm a bit squished for time at the moment to read the entire forum and I wanted to put these out there.
1. Some sort of short duration skill that makes your inductions immune to knockback? Perhaps roll it into self-motivation. Doesn't have to be much, maybe 5-8 seconds of induction immunity, enough to get a couple heals off. Would help a lot with multiple mob aggro and self-healing, without requiring 6-deep healing attunement.
2. Make Writ of Health available outside of combat with the help of Master of Writs. I'd like the ability to put a tier-3 writ of health on myself or a friend before we go into combat; it would help with initial damage mitigation, which us RK's are currently somewhat lacking.
Those are my ideas, again sorry if they're reposts.

Kind of hard to rise up and post when one is weighted down by all those Mardi Gras Beads.
