Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Ahoy hoy,
My name is Sinvrall and my Father is Finbhar. I'm 31 years old and my father is 58. We are both MMORPG veterans of many many years. I started my MMO and role playing career at the release of UO and my father with DAOC at its release.
We both seek a casual kinship who like to RP medium to heavy. Sadly due to my career, I can only play a few hours a night as well as 4-5 hours on the weekend. I don't mind casual gaming now though, I spent many years playing MMO's 50+ hours a week, so its a nice change.
- Ingame Name, Race, Class, and Current Level
Sinvrall - Elf - Minstrel - lvl 19
- Roleplayer? What is "arrr peee", mate? Yes i do, very much so
- Raiding? Yes, casual though due to play times.
- PvP? Hardcore!
- How many hours a week do you play? 30ish
- Playstyle (explorer, grind-heavy, soloer, etc) A bit of everything
- Various other information a kinship may find useful
Gaming background: Been playing MMORPG's since 1998, games include, UO/DAOC/SWG/SB/WOW/WH/AOC/Horizons
I like to play with friendly folks, who don't mind a little structure when need be. I also seek a mature crowd, sans teenagers(no offense I was youg too). I like medium to heavy RP, i try to stay in character as much as possible in game.
Thanks folks!

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
- Ingame Name, Race, Class, and Current Level
Adander, Elf Runekeeper, Level 17 as of today.
- Roleplayer?
Medium to heavy, although I am not as well versed on Tolkien lore as I ought to be. I'm re-reading The Hobbit and will start Fellowship as soon as I'm finished.
- Raiding?
Never really has been my style, as I generally do not reach the top level in games that I play. However if I had reached said level, and my Kinship needed me, I would be amiable so long as they understood that real life comes first.
- PvP?
Again, not my style, but I do intend to try out this interesting "monster play" that LOTRO has.
- How many hours a week do you play?
Depends on what's going on in my life really. Suffice to say that it's quite a few so long as I can get the time.
- Playstyle (explorer, grind-heavy, soloer, etc)
Depends on the situation, but I do prefer to solo if possible. That does not mean that I am against grouping, but previous MMO experiences soured me to it, and if I were to group, it would have to be very low pressure and low stress. I love crafting, I like exploring, and I like roleplaying.
- Various other information a kinship may find useful
I'm looking for a mature kinship, who will understand that I have work and other obligations and cannot play as much as I could when I was a teenager, who understand that I prefer a solo playstyle at most times, and want to experience the game at my own rate (I'd rather not get donations of silver or items and I do not want any excessive help.) Basically I would like a kinship that is willing to leave me alone when I would like to be left alone, but welcome me when I am there. A roleplaying Kinship would be nice, but not necessary, especially since my knowledge of Tolkien lore is so poor.
Also, I'm not a big fan of voice chat on video games. It's simply a personal preference. I prefer to type, that's all there is to it. If it is necessary for me to listen in on voice chat, I can, however, I prefer not to participate.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
- Ingame Name, Race, Class, and Current Level
Kynora,Elf Champion of Rivendell,lvl 21
- Roleplayer?
Medium...will go with what is happening at the moment.
- Raiding?
Would love to one day.Not hardcore raiding though..but if a guild event is schedule count me in.
- PvP?
Again...if there's an event i'll go..but i am not in there 24/7
- How many hours a week do you play?
about 10-30
- Playstyle (explorer, grind-heavy, soloer, etc)
I solo...since i play at odd hours because of work...but during the weekend i will group...not much into crafting...i'd rather sell my ore/skins for money...i also love to just hang out in the game..walk in Bree and watch the day to day life.
- Various other information a kinship may find useful
I would like to find a mature Kinship, since i am an older player(43)...I can provide for myself..so i do not need a guild that will cater to all my needs.Just a place i can call home and build great lasting friendship..I also don't want to join a military type kinship..would not fit my character's playstyle.I played mmo's since the launch of UO..i played 6 years of EQ..the WoW..EQ2.
Hope to hear from someone soon.Thank you for reading me :)

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
I'm back after a long break, and am looking for a good kinship. I'm a long-time MMO player, typically play healers or support classes, don't RP much, don't PvP at all, love to raid, but have less time for it now.
I'd like to find a kin that, at the very least, raids content (and will be ready for the new raid coming out), but doesn't expect everyone to raid every night. I'm 27, in grad school and going on a dig (archaeology in Italy) this summer so I have less time than I used to (3 nights a week would probably be my max). I'd also prefer to raid with a group that starts 8pm EST or later.
That said, I still play an ungodly amount. :) I'm nice until you get to know me - you'll eventually find out I'm bitingly witty, in a charming way of course.
Thanks for reading!

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
My wife and I are looking for a fun, social, helpful kinship. I've been playing LoTRO since December or so, have a 41 Hunter that I use now for gathering. About a month and a half ago I finally got my wife to play with me - I started a new char (now my main) and we've played every night since then - She is a 31 Elf Hunter, I am a 32 Dwarven Rune-Keeper . We've fellowed up a few times for the Epic Books on the weekends, but we've pretty much just done solo and small fellow content with each other to this point. We're definitely more in favor of using voice than the chat window and we're looking for a kin that's fun and social. We definitely value having a good time more than the the repair silver we incur from making the occasional mistake.
- Hookalorn, Dwarf, Rune-Keeper, and 32
- Roleplayer? nope
- Raiding? not sure
- PvP? not much
- How many hours a week do you play? ~21ish; nightly 8ish-11ish, Friday and Saturday - 8ish to irresponsibly late-ish
- Playstyle (explorer, grind-heavy, soloer, etc)? duo-solo...

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Well, I've been hesitant about looking for a kinship for my Lore-master for a while, as I've feared turning to another character. But he's made it this far, and I have a hard time staying on an alt, so I'll just take that step now.
My character, as you can see in my signature, is a level 33 (almost 34) Man Lore-master--Fredwurk. I'm not a huge roleplayer, as I lately have been more focused on adventuring and questing, but I usually classify myself as a light to medium roleplayer. As for raiding and PvMP, I have never had a character at a high enough level to partake in either of those. However, both carry some interest in my eyes, and I'll most likely take a stab at those at later levels.
I play fairly often, usually at least a little bit everyday. Sometimes I can only play 30 minutes before something comes up, or I may be on for an entire evening (4 or 5 hours, maybe). Or, an entire day. Now that it's summer (I'm young, by the way), I'll have much more time to play. However, I do have some plans to keep me occupied. For instance, I'd like to get a lot of writing done, and I work out Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. My playstyle is a mix of everything. I like to do a small bit of exploring, I solo a lot, I enjoy groups, and I aim for high levels and all that.
So, that's pretty much all. I've played MMOs for about 5 years now, and I've always been one of the more mature players, despite my true age. Thus, I hate when kinships have an age limit. I can still crack an immature joke, as my sense of humor has yet to grow stale, but I can act properly when I should.
I look forward to any kinships who want to contact me.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Hey there, this is my first post on these forums so here goes nothing.
I've been playing the game for a few weeks now, just finished the month trial and signed up for another 4 months today. Currently working on an Elven Runekeeper ( IGN : Galbrandor lvl 22 ) although started as a hunter ( only lvl 29 ). I find myself soloing a lot mainly because I'm not one to form/find random parties for quests, however I'm a fan of the "fellowship." Just looking to play the game, do some crafting and what not. Looking for just a casual Kinship with some people around my level to play with.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
- Ingame Name, Race, Class, and Current Level
Neayen, Elf - Level 33 Rune Keeper
- Roleplayer?
Yes. I'd say my RP is medium, but can get heavier if my character meshes really well with others around me. My knowledge of the lore is somewhat lacking (but hopefully improving), so I'm hoping my RP wont suffer too much.
- Raiding?
I like to raid on occasion, but a steady diet of it can wear thin
- PvP?
No, not much interest in PvP.
- How many hours a week do you play?
20-30 hours
- Playstyle (explorer, grind-heavy, soloer, etc)
I prefer to duo or group, soloing is pretty boring for me. I'm pretty flexible when it comes to grinding or exploring. It doesnt bother me if I'm in a group that happens to be on a roll of knocking out a mess of quests. On the other hand, trying to figure out a quest with a friend at our own pace is fun too.
- Various other information a kinship may find useful
I'm an older player (39) and have played my share of MUDS and MMORPGs. I'm seeking a solid, structured kinship, one with mature folks. I'd like to get into an RP guild, one that likes to get out of the taverns to hunt and explore. Dont get me wrong, I'm all for sitting about and listening to tales and songs (or writing stories on guild forums), but I'm also new to the game and eager to see the sights as well. I'm pretty self sufficient and I've no problem helping folks out if they need a hand with a quest or whatever. :)
Thanks!
Neayen

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
I've been looking around for an end-game kinship for a month or so now, but many of the kinships I know about aren't in the market for a lore-master. Although my current kinship is a good one, they don't raid as frequently as I would like. I would like to find a kinship that raids on a weekly basis.
My main character is Pinkfae a level 60, rank 8 lore-master. I currently have +60 radiance gear, but have not taken down the Watcher yet. In fact, I've only attempted him one time.
I'm looking for a well established kinship with players that play on a regular basis. A kinship that is focused on end-game content. Please PM me here or send me in-game mail if you have further questions.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Hello Landroval Kinships!
I currently have 2 cousins looking for a new kin.
RP/light-none
raiding/moors hard-core only ^^
class/60 Loremaster=19yr old, 60 Rune Keeper=17yr old
One of them is 17 and the other is 19. They are experienced moors players from before and after moria. They are both Polish so would be nice for them to find a Europe or a night time kin. Also will have to be patient with them since they are *trying* to learn English and Spanish at the same time so, it make it difficult for them but they are very dedicated to doing their best.
If there any kins out there that would accept them please send a in-game message to Lestia =Þ Thanks!

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Hello Landroval! After quite a long stint playing LOTRO on my own, I'm finally thinking about settling down with a nice RP kinship. My three characters are:
Ealfled - 55 woman Captain from Rohan, currently in Moria
Cela - 41 Hobbit Hunter (a Brandybuck) who just finished 1.4
Tatharian - 21 Elf Warden from Edhellond, adventuring around Bree and the Lone Lands
I've been roleplaying silently in my own head ever since I started LOTRO, but have been rather shy about doing so around others. My playstyle has been soloing most of the time and joining with random groups for fellowship quests, which are almost never RP-oriented. As a devoted Tolkien nut, all my characters have lore-appropriate backgrounds, character arcs, and personalities. I'm still new to RPing in a group but willing to try my hardest - hopefully I'll learn quickly. I don't mind picking one particular character and concentrating on that one, but I am rather fond of all of them.
As for my playing time, I'm usually on in the evenings during weekdays (Eastern Standard Time) and the day during the weekends. I estimate I can play somewhere between 10 - 20 hours a week, depending on my schedule.
One final note is that I don't have a mic for my computer and don't plan on getting one, so my RP communication will be consistantly text-based. I don't know if this would be a problem, but fortunately I type with blistering speed and a limited amount of comical errors. See you in Middle Earth!

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
- Ingame Name, Race, Class, and Current Level
Killashandra, Elf, Lore Master, 25 - Jeweler
- If you are considering roleplaying, raiding, and/or player versus player combat
I have begun learning to roleplay while in-game, and would enjoy continuing in a light to medium setting, especially if RP was exploratory in nature (while questing or traveling). Raiding and PvP do not particularlly interest me yet, but could be fun with a supportive group of kin. I will, of course, help out when the kin needs me to.
- How many hours a week do you play?
1-4 hours on weeknights, as long as possible on weekends
- Playstyle (explorer, grind-heavy, soloer, etc)
I truly enjoy exploring (to the point where I only use horses when questing with others). In addition, my character's background lends itself to exploring while questing.
- Various other information a kinship may find useful
My gaming personality lends itself to support classes, such as LMs, Mins, and RKs. I enjoy supporting others on their quests, even if I have already completed them or am several levels beyond them. I do not like to rush through quests, but will if another character is on a time crunch (such as the kids finally laying down for a nap!)
- Optional - RL information such as Age, Time Zone, etc.
I am 25, female, in TN, and have a day job as an engineer.
This is my first MMO, though I have played many console RPGs (KOTOR, Mass Effect, etc.)
Overall, I am looking for mature (in behavior), good-humored people to quest and relax with. RP would be an added bonus. Please send me a PM or a note in game if you think I would be a good fit for your kin. If not, then just let me know if you need a hand with a quest sometime, I'll be happy to help!
Thank you, Killashandra
Update: Found a great, friendly home with the Pie Lovers Society!

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Greetings and salutations,
I am seeking a kinship for my level 35 Lore Master. He is named Aldmunin, is of the race of Man, and hails from the city of Dale.
My play style is casual. I enjoy questing both solo and in fellowships. My ultimate goal for this character is to complete the Epic storyline. My ultimate goal in playing the game is to have fun in a relaxed and mature (in attitude of not in age) manner. I would not be opposed to a light-medium RP kin. RP is not something I heavily participate in but I believe it lends atmosphere to the setting. Also, a Rhovanion character centric kin would be appealing but is not a requirement.
To those kins for which it is relevant or a requirement my RL age is 30.
Thanks.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Good evening to all!
I seek appropriate kinships for two worthy ladies.
Irinka of the Fallohides (31 Hobbit hunter) - Explorer
Cyneswyth of Rohan (11 Woman champion) - Armsman
I enjoy soloing quests, though obviously if a group is needed, I'll do my best to help. I like exploring and discovering things, but am definitely not looking for anything highly structured - I went through my hardcore phase when playing WoW.
I am a very casual player that adores RP. I love the Tolkien world, with a special focus on the lore of Rohan. Looking for an RP kinship, though a little pvp would be okay with me. The kin would have to be okay with being quite casual, though - I'm studying for the bar exam, just graduated law school, and I play LOTRO when I can, to keep my sanity! For any kins with age restrictions, I'm 26 IRL.
Please don't hesitate to PM either of my ladies should you think you have a place for them. Up Eorlingas, For the Shire, and have a pleasant evening!

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Greetings
I just transfered to Landroval a week or so ago and have been reading alot of the kinship posts. I can't come to a some conclusions so thought I would tell you a little about myself here and see how it goes.
The toon facts
Scuffgrim 60 Dwarf Hunter R10
I can boil hides. :D Masterfully
5/6
The me facts
I am 33 years old, I am divorced, and I live in a van down by the river. j/k j/k
Nah real names Scott. I am blessed with the love of my wife who plays and we have a son who we give alot of attention to.
I live in Florida so i'm east coast time, but work M-F 6am-5pm and usually try to play every evening, and weekends.
I love PvMP mostly, but do spend my time doing the new content and instances when needed. No one needs a hunter anymore. :( Plus they get a little boring after awhile.
I have never role played in an MMO before, but Saturdays at my house is D&D family time. (Yes it is the fourth edition and I like it)
I would really like to be in a lite roleplaying Kin just to have the exp.
I'm sure I could ramble on aboout myself some more, but that would make all your ears bleed. If I sound remotely like I would fit into your Kinship send me a tell ingame and I would love try out your Kinship and get to know some more folks.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Greetings,
I am currently looking for a kinship, that is both active in end game instance/raids, PvMP and some light RP. I live on the east coast so my play times are eastern time zone. Normally during the week I get about 1-2 hours of game time during the evening, and it varies on the weekends. But usually Friday-Sunday I am on anytime after 10pm est til I I grow tired.
I used to roleplay quite abit in SWG when I played there on the Valcyn server, but since coming to LOTRO ( I am a founder and closed beta tester ), I have not rp'ed at all. I would like to open up this aspect of my gaming experience.
Toons I have as of now and I actively play are in my sig with vocations. I am leveling an RK at present who is level 19 almost 20.
Not really concerned if the kinship is rank 1 or rank 10,as long as it's well run, members are friendly with one another and the "team" aspect is a vital part of the kinship. When I say that, what I mean is that every member counts, from the level 1 newbie to the level 60 vets. Real life comes first and foremost in my life concerning gaming, and I will never compromise that for this game or any.
I am a family man. I have two kids, 17 and 21 years old and I have been married...well awhile..lol. I have played plenty of MMO's with end game raiding/PvP experience. But stuck with swg for about 4+ years. (yes we all miss pre-cu). Thank you for your time and I hope to hear from someone soon

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Hello Landroval! I've picked a great server for me and my fiance, now it's time to pick a great kinship!
Aewin Isdaine, 35 Man (Woman, really) Minstrel and Tinker
RP is fine but I'm a little shy! Haven't tried out PvP yet though it might be fun. I've raided in Everquest 2 fairly hardcore, and I would like to try it out here once I level up some. My fiance and I work during the evenings though so our raid schedule would be limited--most likely not hardcore, but I would like a guild that can get raids done if needed!
Hours per week...really varies. I'd say 20+ hours a week, probably.
AND
Faradwae, 35 Man Champion and Woodsman
He likes to roleplay, he's got a quirky personality, and I'm not sure if he'd end up raiding or not. He's eager to try out PvP.
He plays a little less than me since he works 5 days instead of 4, like I do.
We are in Central Time zone and work evenings so most of our play time is on our days off or in the afternoon/early morning hours. I am a 20 (21 in September) year old female and he is a 23 year old male. If you can't tell, we're engaged (been together for years, no drama here). We mostly duo together, but will join pickup fellowships or help people out if needed. We like to spend our time leveling, exploring the world, gathering resources, and enjoying the lore.
I guess what I'm looking for in a Kinship is: fun, occasional quest help, and opportunity to raid/group when we hit 50 or 60. Thanks, Landroval!
-
Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
I originally thought I would only stay on Elendilmir. However, I realized I needed to be on a server with more people really. So I've recently moved to Landroval. My character hasn't quite caught up, but he's making great progress and is not far behind at all. I guess I'm kind of hoping to find a relatively large kinship this time around. I've thought about what I was missing and I think the biggest reason I wasn't really having fun with the kinships I've been in so far was the simple fact that there were usually just too few people around to ever really do anything with them.
- Ingame Name, Race, Class, and Current Level:
Nazo, Human, Burgler, 22 (though I'm focusing mostly on leveling until I catch up to level 30 or so to get back to where I left off, so by the time you see me I may be at a higher level.)
- If you are considering roleplaying, raiding, and/or player versus player combat:
I'm not sure about RP. Right now I won't be, but, that's not to say that I never will. More importantly, I do at least try to respect others' RP and try not to interfere too much for the most part. I think if I do RP later, it will be more a RP-lite style.
Raiding is definitely not my style and I probably will avoid it.
PvP is also not really my style, but, within reason I will do some if it is necessary and perhaps some friendly sparring would be ok.
- How many hours a week do you play?
This varies depending mostly on my job as its hours vary a lot. Sometimes I'm on a lot. In fact, I had a number of off days in a row for a while and that's when I picked LotRO back up as I had stopped playing for quite a while. Now that my hours have gotten a little more normal I'm not sure yet how many hours a week I'll be playing, but it may still be a fair bit as long as the game is interesting.
- Playstyle (explorer, grind-heavy, soloer, etc):
I mostly solo a lot, though I do like working with people who group well (especially those who are willing to use a little strategy rather than simply barging into everything, lol.) I'd also be perfectly ok with helping others within reason. I do explore a fair bit, but I would probably say it's a bit more secondary as I don't find it fun to, say, explore really low level areas.
- Various other information a kinship may find useful:
I can't think of much to say here except that I really don't like crafting. In fact, with this character I haven't even bothered to pick up a vocation at all this time around. Probably my biggest caveat though is that I really hate when really high levels help really low levels. To me at least it just feels all too much like cheating. Within reason I might be willing to help out a lower level somewhat (though I still wouldn't do something such as help someone 20 levels below me or whatever) I just can't stand it when someone of a too high level comes along to help a fellowship finish some quest. IMO people are FAR too willing to do this in LotRO and all too frequently I find myself having to leave a party because someone insists on inviting a level 60 along to make it easy for them. But it's not just 60s. Anyone of a too unreasonably high level really. For example, someone ten levels above me is probably too high. I don't really have any exact numbers defined, but I think people can get the idea of what I mean here.
On the up side, I think this makes me a better gamer for it.
- Optional - RL information such as Age, Time Zone, etc.:
I'm 26 and I live in the CSTDST timezone, though my hours vary a bit (again depending on my job) and tend more to be later rather than earlier in the day.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Hello Landroval folk,
I have a level 42 Man Champion: Ethelbryn.
I've been playing LOTRO on and off since beta. Obviously, you can see I take things at a slow pace, lol. I keep coming back mostly because of my love for the franchise. What I'm hoping is that I can find a kinship that can keep me playing. I usually play for a couple of months at a time, get bored, and then come back a few months later. I've been a part of multiple kinships throughout my time here, all of which have been too hardcore for me.
What I'm looking for is a very casual kinship, preferably large. I want a nice bunch of people who I can talk to, hang out with, and have help me with group quests. I don't know why, but I'm not too in to voice chat. I'm 17, so maybe I'm just intimidated by much of you older folk; I don't know, I'm just weird. It also means that in school months I will be in, well, school, and during the summer I'm working weekdays 8-4. I'm also open to RP, but have little experience. I've never raided before, being lvl 42, and I don't plan on doing so; That's too much for me. Raiding guilds require certain hours and days of play and I'm not at all interested in that.
Well, I hope there's a guild out there for me, and thank you in advance for any replies.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Name: Craran
Class: Guardian
Level: 60
I am looking for a friendly kinship that does raiding on Fridays and weekends and has no age restrictions. I have 6/6 radiance gear so I will be able to help out with watcher runs.
-
Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Duindir, 60 Warden, looking for an end-game kinship (that hopefully raids as well!)
I have a ton of raiding experience, in and out of LOTRO. I actually joined LOTRO at launch, but deleted my old hunter awhile back when I took a long break from the game. I have 4/6 of my radiance and my traits grinded out as well.
-Also interested in RP, but not necessary!
-Have a level 33 Guard alt, and can level alts extremely quickly if needed.
-I am under 18 (17 to be exact), however I have been in kinships with 18+ requirements and been accepted and fully integrated without any awkwardness or trouble.
-I've acted as an officer for several kins and ran events/groups/raids.
Thank you in advance for considering me Landroval Raiding Kinships, and I hope you like what I have to offer!
Contact me in-game or through Private message (Although in-game would be preferable).

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Evening All,
Torrbald (17 Dwarven Champ) is looking for friendly band of adventurers to join. I play 4-6 nights a week 8pm to 10pm/12am Pacific Standard Time so I'd prefer a Kin that is active during those hours. A little about me:
Location: Nevada, US
Age: 35
Time playing LOTRO:
I played for 13 months after release on Arkenstone. I then dropped when I moved out of country but when I came back my kin had disbanded so I stopped until last week.
Play style:
I'm a casual player with a laid back attitude; I enjoy grouping and running instances as well as solo play and exploring the rich world created here. I do not have much experience raiding but I'm a quick study and I am always willing to try something new. I do have a wife and 2 kids (one here & one due soon) so I do have unexpected interruptions but I am very conscience about committing to a group for a scheduled run and am not one to cut and run with no notice. Basically if I don't think I'll make the whole run I won't even sign up or volunteer.
In-game goals:
Explore and complete as much of the content as possible. As I stated previously I up for solo runs, grouping to crush some quests, Fellowship quest, raids, PvMP, ect.
To sum it up I'm looking for a kin that can use my skills and help me grow in-game. I will in turn provide a loyal member that is here to help as much as I can and to bring my own brand of sarcastic wit to table.
If you think your kin would be a good fit please let me know here or in-game. Till then keep the beers flowing and the axes in the orcs ****.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Jandas, Level 14 Hobbit Warden
I am definitely looking for a roleplaying Kinship. One that would tolerate a newer player but still be there when the time comes for raids and end game stuffs.
I play fairly often. Between 5-6 days a week. When I do play its usually for a while also at least 4 or 5 hours.
I prefer party play but do solo when there are no other options.
Name - Brian
Age - 19
Timezone - EST

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Race of Man Warden, level 23. In-game name: Dheovan Arindari.
I'm a pretty casual player, so I am therefore looking for a pretty casual guild. Mainly, I'm looking for some friendly people to talk to, hang out with and do some quests. I played LotRO a while back but then took a long break, so I am a returning player relearning the game.
In real life, I'm 21 and live in CST. I usually play about half an hour to an hour a night, with some nights not being able to and some nights playing longer. I have various alts that I will level at some point, though whether they are a part of the kinship or not is not a huge deal to me.
Cheers!

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Are there any west coast raiding kins on Landroval? I like my current kin, but the raids conflict with the dinner hour and the sidewalks roll up at 9pm. Just curious if there is a better fit out there. I have a 60 MIN and 60 LM, 6/6 or better.
Thanks!

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Howdy, my name is Matt and I'm here for a kinship.
Ingame name is Ferlery, level 40 Man Champion
-Roleplaying is very fun sometimes, tedious and restricting other times. A guild that blends both worlds would be nice. Raiding I will take part in always, but don't want the kinship to be focused solely on raiding / attaining gear. PvMP not important, something I do on occasion.
-I dont really keep track of the hours I'm playing, its not a lot, its not a little.
-Playstyle I have now : soloing. Playstyle I want to be able to do: grouping. I'm big on grouping and enjoy it a lot, sadly I never find any groups, and would like a kinship that groups often either together or with different kins.
-Vent would be cool
Other info:
I don't want to join a kinship that requires me to fill out an application. I'm joining a group of players under a name to have fun, I'm not applying for a job. Newbie probation doesn't really make sense to me either, its not a fraternity. I'm looking for the kinship that I can build friendships out of and have a good time enjoying the game doing that.
-
Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Never tried looking for a kin this way...so please bear with me as I put this out there. Character is currently in a kin, but I am researching other options for him.
- Ingame Name, Race, Class, and Current Level:
Ereban, Elf, Champion. 39
- If you are considering roleplaying, raiding, and/or player versus player combat
- I'm hoping to add a little more RP to a general exploring/almost-solo playing routine. I am not against doing the occasional raid, but I'm a horrible leader. ;) I just follow and hit as directed as best as I can.
- How many hours a week do you play?
Varies from 15 to 20 hours a week at some times, more or less as life allows. I admit that there have been short periods of non-play, but I think most people experience a necessity to be away from the chair :)
- Playstyle (explorer, grind-heavy, soloer, etc):
Explorer mostly. I am usually joined by my SO and we've covered a fair bit of ground together. We like to open up the map and see what we can see and pick through quests. I have tried to RP, but that's one of those "let's just go to the Pony and see what happens" sorts of situations.
My hope is to kind of balance out between RP, questing, and maybe a raid once in a while. Raiding is not something I have a great deal of experience in, I admit, and is probably the thing I'd want to ease into gradually with people who don't mind it.
- Various other information a kinship may find useful
I admit I don't know what that would entail. Other than that while I've played for a while I admit I still Don't Know Everything. I'm willing to learn what I don't know however, and in exchange, try to give that info back to people when they need it if the time arises.
- Optional - RL information such as Age, Time Zone, etc.
Age: Over 20.
Time Zone: Pacific.
Personalty: Even-keeled.
Favorite colors: red and black (totally irrelevant, sometimes)

Elenwai An'Amir
Elf- level 11 at the moment
1-3 hours daily (if not more)
I like to enjoy the game, explore all I can.

I'm new to the game but played WoW for several years.
24, E.S.T.
I just want a friendly group of people who enjoy RP.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Hi all. I am actually looking for a kinship for two people... and 4 characters.
Ingame name: (It's my intention to get all three characters 10 lvl's higher within a month or so.)
-Olderon - lvl 35 man champion
-Calora - lvl 16 elf run keeper
-Calhad - lvl 17 elf hunter
Medium role-play at best.
Central Time Zone
Here's the tricky part. I'm getting my girlfriend involved in gaming for the first time and I want her to be a part of the kinship with me. She and I are leveling together on the lower level characters. She has a lvl 16 minstrel elf. Keep in mind she is brand new to the world of mmorpg's. Her biggest concern is "people getting mad at her" haha. Having never played computer games (has played console games) the hardest part for her to start with was getting the viewing angle right. haha.
So we are looking for something rather casual. A good group of MATURE (we are both 28) individuals that would enjoy a few new characters. She will probably be available to play 2, maybe 3 nights a week. I would be available 3-4 nights a week.
If you think we would be a good fit for your kinship let me know and we can talk further.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
I'm a returning player who is looking for a casual play, friendly kinship. I played the game at launch and (unfortunately) let my significant other drag me back to WoW. But I have always wanted to come back to this game, so here I am!
Acherian, Elf, Runekeeper, 25 (I began the game with a minstrel but decided to make a fresh start with a new class)
I am very interested in roleplaying, but consider myself "middle-of-the-road". I used to RP quite a bit in WoW back in the day. I have plenty of raiding experience in that game as well, but don't really play "hardcore" like that anymore. I'm interested, but not if it has to take over my life. :)
I play a couple of times a week. I'm in Central Time, but I work afternoons and nights, so I primarily play on the weekends and occasionally in the middle of the night.
I am primarily an explorer, as I'm new to the game and curious about what's out there. I also tend to have a weakness for crafting and trying out alts. I solo currently solo quite a bit, but only because I don't know anyone. :)
RL-wise, I'm 32, also playing Champions Online (casually) and can be considered a former (recovering?) WoW tourist. I enjoy playing with other people, and my short stops since beta haven't really helped me to do that. I keep going back to other games to play with people I know, so it's time to get to know people here so this can be the game that's "home."

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Hello there again! I have been off on journeys but have finally returned, and bring with me the power of song and music! I have returned to the Shire, but fetching pies and mail has left me somewhat bored. I'm a good Hobbit Minstrel who will make a great cook for a traveling kinship and can definitely help to mend clothing and such with my skills as a Yeoman. I'm just starting to get out in the world, but if a fine kinship is looking for someone to help out, I'm yer Hobbit!
((Essentially, I've returned to the game and rolled a fresh Minstrel! I'm looking for a heavy RP kinship to join up with. Thanks for any responses and welcomes!))

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
(cross-posted to New Member part of the forum, because I fail and didn't see this thread until now)
Hello! Just joined two nights ago - merely level 8 thus far - so advanced apologies for being truly inept and clueless. I'm adoring it all so far, being a devout Tolkien fan for so many years no doubt contributes to the experience.
I did try my very best to browse the forums before actually playing in order to better make informed decisions regarding race, class, server, etc. Ended up with an Elf, LM, and chose Landroval as my server because the RP aspect appeals to me greatly. Haven't come across too many folk just yet, and I'm wondering how exactly one *does* go about courteously joining a kinship (or even a fellowship), as well as what crafting vocation would fit nicely with Celaradia's class. Do the two relate to one another, class and crafting? Significantly enough to make certain combinations a bad idea?
I'm most eager to meet others, and bask in the detail of this world worthy of the title Middle Earth. I love the gameplay and I'm as determined as the next person to level - but I'm really excited about how mature this community of people appears, how deep-seated your affections for LotR and Tolkien seem to be. I want to make friends with you! Enjoy the world with you! And I decided to take my first step here in the forums instead of fumbling about with improper in-game chat questions posed to unfortunate strangers. I could really see myself getting sucked into this, unlike other MMOs, thanks to the LotR being the based mythology.
I almost definitely should've/could've posted this elsewhere, I'm sure, like in the Landroval forum, but this is the designated New Player Without a Clue area, so this is where I put it.
So, kinships. Fellowships. Is the RP aspect directly linked to joining a kinship and involving yourself with a specific group's RPing? Is it inappropriate to want to join a kinship at such a humble level? Should I do more than select 'looking for fellowship' in the social panel in order to advertise that I'm interested in RP and joining a kinship? Any guidance or advice for a beginner with my gameplay style would be greatly appreciated.

((moderate-heavy rp "salt of the earth" type character who i'm going to have sort of "grow up" in her adventures. Gamey-wise, i like to tank, ive been tanking in varoius mmorpgs for ages, and once i work out the kinks of this class, im sure ill be pretty good here too. I'd like to very casually raid (when im appropriate level and gear of course!), like no more than once a week if that, and i'd like to rp! Unlike alot of super-heavy rp hobbits, i'm not looking to join a hobbit-only or hobbit-focused kinship, i'd like to get that dynamic where i surprise the strong men of the north with my courage and determination ))
((edit: I've submitted an app to the Rohirrim themed kinship, here's hoping :) ))

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
I've got a level 60 Captain called "Romai". I've been playing off and on since beta, and I just came back for a few months to polish up my Captain before the new expansion. My gear and virtues are ****, so I've been working on my traits these last few days.
I kind of burned through the content as quick as I could to get to 60, so I haven't done... well, any of the raids. I've been meaning to for the last few years, but I've always levels to gain, so I've only just now gotten to focus on other things.
I'm twenty-two and working, so I typically only get to play around 4-9 PM CST, but I'm on pretty regularly. I'm spec'd for healing, if that matters. I'm a prospector, and I don't really craft, so I tend to have a lot of ore lying around. I never really tried the PvP, 'cause I'm not really into that. Hm... I guess that's it.

Hello Tinrae! You sound like a couple who might just fit in with our ridiculous lot. You can read more about us at www.theonering.com/kinship
Look for me (Boffo), or my most favored lieutenant, Athelian/ Jenuilas in-game as well. If that fails, you may also try contacting Nogg.
Talk soon,

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Contemplating a return to LOTRO on the Landroval server. I am looking for an rp guild that is active and enjoys both forum and in-game rp. Generally I rp an elf, but am considering a nice friendly hobbit as well. Grouping for questing is great, but I enjoy doing that in a role-playing framework.
Any good rp guilds out there recruiting? Please PM. :)

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
My wife and me (both 30+) are looking for a kinship. We are casual no-RP player that mostly play on the weekends. We have lifetime accounts and explored the game from Beta up to lvl 60 mostly as a two-people fellowship apart from a few PUGs.
The main problem probably is, that we're in Europe, so we're looking for a kinship that's (also) active during Europe afternoons and evenings (GMT+1). Are there any out there??

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Greetings!
Until recently, I've only played MMOs as guest on other folk's accounts. Now that I have a proper connexion of my own, I joined LOTRO as I am a long-time Tolkien fan and other MMOs have no appeal whatsoever (I dislike 'spikey bits' as a fashion statement). While I've got a stable of characters, to better feed my crafting needs, I do have one that I'm focusing my time and attention on.
This would be Bretobrand Longtoes, a Fallohide Guardian [27 at this point] and Armorer. From what I've read here, I'd be the medium RP sort who tries to stay in character in public or in Fellowship. (Acting on advice from another, I keep meta-game comments in Tell.) As for Breto himself, I play him as a driven lad who wants to make sure the Shire is kept safe. If that means finding sheep or fighting wights, he's in the middle of it, shield-punching one and all. He's also keen on maintaining other hobbit traditions as his Inn League membership attests.
Since this is my first, and highest ranked, character, I still want to do everything. I like the little quests that help the locals with their pies, lost lunches or such like. I just spent a 'night' in the Midgewater Marshes searching for Tin so I could get the crafting levels. I enjoy exploring for both the bonuses and the great views. I'd also like to find some reliable folks to do those quests that need more than one tough guy.
In Real Life, I'm a house-husband with other interests (board games, comics, pumping iron, etc.) that keep my schedule varied. I'm in the PST zone and when I'm not doing chores or pursuing my hobbies, I can play in weekday afternoon/ evening and the occasional weekend (if I plan my schedule in advance). Somehow, I manage to play a few hours nearly every day of the week. And, needless to say, I qualify as an 'adult' player as I'm over fifty but actual levels of 'maturity' depend on the situation.
What would your suggestions be?

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Hey there, Landroval.
I have recently decided to re-give this game a try as I used to play awhile back, but wanted to try Warhammer Online. My main (Caenre) is only a level 8 Warden at the moment (class subject to change) but I'm planning on leveling him much higher when I get the spare time.
In real life and in game, I love to RP, whether it be in PnP or Neverwinter Nights. I'd consider myself medium at most, however, as I do like OOC talking quite a bit (through tells). I love to play with a group, and tend to play classes that focus on teamwork (aka former Burg). I am 18, but I consider myself pretty mature.
All in all, any team-based, lite-medium RP guilds out there that don't mind a lowbie? If you happen to have current lowbies (be they alts or others), that's a plus too!
PM please. Thank you.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Hello. I'm a 24 year old casual player (but medium-to-heavy RPer) looking for a friendly RP kinship that's okay with the fact that I don't play religiously and that I have a lot of alts. Any sort of friendly guild that's not too restrictive story-wise is fine... Ideally, I'd love one that I could join up with several of my characters. I play all races, both genders, and many classes. Characters:
Hamsen, hobbit minstrel
Orlen, human lore-master
Bronthryth, human Guardian
Baliphor, Elven rune-master
Aerdris, Elven Hunter
Leofryth, human Burglar
Freyldir, Dwarven Champion
I'm a pretty laid-back, friendly player who values intelligent RP and a respect for Lore/the game.
Please let me know if you have a kinship that fits what I'm looking for! Megakinships of hundreds of members probably wouldn't be the best match for me.

East Coast Weekend Kinship
Unfortunately, my RL job keeps me from playing LOTRO all the time. I am only able to play on Saturdays and Sundays usually from 10:00AM Eastern until 5:00PM Eastern. I'm looking for a Kinship where most of the players are online during those times, as I need to maximize my playtime.
I have a level 60 Minstrel on Landroval that is a SM Jeweller and Cook. Her name is Kalwyn.
If you think your Kinship can support my playstyle and lack of available time, please let me know.
Thank you!

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
I have been lurking around here for some time now, trying to find a guild that would suit me. I have applied to one, but I don't think it is active enough to fit what I am looking for.
What I am looking for is a medium-heavy rp kinship that will accept a minstral man from rohan. He is currently level 12ish. He would be described as a confused young adult trying to find his way in the world - He was born in Rohan but has never been on a horse, taken out of the lands at a young age (around 5-6 years old from what he can remember) and his parents either died or just up and left him in the rural archet area, where he was found by a woodsman and started to grow up.
The kinship I am looking for would have members active during the day/evening (I am in the MST time zone).
I like to group/help out in fellowships - and would potentially like to see end game content (longer term goal). I have little to no interest in PvMP.
I do not know alot of the lore outside the movies but I am open to learning.
If you think I would suit your guild please contact me here, or in game as Jaenhelm so that we may speak and possibly put an application across.
Thanks!

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Looking for a Kin for both:
Jinz, (Man) Warden, 43.
Oako (Hobbit) Burg, 11.
I enjoy roleplaying, don't care for raiding or PvMP. Looking for a Kinship where I can settle in, socialise, quest with each other, etc. I'm casual.
Explorer, solo quite a bit, but wouldn't be soloing so much if I find the right Kin.
I live in Australia, so time-zones can be mixed up sometimes.

Looking for a Kin
Hello,
I am a 39 year old guy with a family, and I love to play LOTRO(I have a lifetime membership). I started on Landroval about a year and a half ago but the kin i was in (A "light" RP kin) That was fairly large had never run CD/URU and i was told it was impossible to find a PUG group for them. I am one who believe traits can make or break a character and i desperately wanted my "to the king" .....so i transferred to another server. There the pace was a lot faster, mistakes weren't easily forgiven and RP was non-existent. Medical health issues have forced me to slow down quite a bit in my game style and i started either becoming a burden or felt like one...so I came back to Landroval where the people for the most part are more friendly and the pace "from what I've experienced" is a bit slower. I am looking for a light to medium RP kin with active members that are willing and can help a level 45 character do CD/URU when the time comes. I generally solo everything in the game except instances and the aforementioned quests, but am not opposed to fellowships. I generally play 40 to 50 hours a week. My current in-game character is a Hobbit: Daegel Connaught level 20+ Hunter
I would prefer a kin with ventrillo/teamspeak. I know i am asking for quite a bit ,but whats the harm in asking :)
Feel free to send me a tell!
Safe travels and good hunting!

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Hullo, I am a recently returning player after 5 months away.
- My main is a 60 Elf Champion, have a few alts too.
- Roleplayer? Yes, I do enjoy roleplaying. I'm a fan of Tolkien's works, having read the LoTR, Hobbit, Silmarillion, and Unfinished Tales. I don't know much about the whole light/medium/heavy RP styles, I just like to roleplay and have done so in SWG for a while before coming here.
- Raiding? Occasionally.
- PvP? Sometimes.
- How many hours a week do you play? A couple of hours a night.
- Playstyle I like to explore the world, complete quests both alone and in fellowships, craft, roleplay, and run 3 & 6 man instances.
- RL - 20, college student, play when my schedule lets me. Like to have a good laugh, looking for a group of folks who do the same. (EST timezone).

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Quick note: I am in the process transferring from Silverlode to Landroval
In game Name: Risheem
Race: Human
Class: Captain
Current Level: 57
If you are considering roleplaying, raiding, and/or player versus player combat: I have never done any roleplyaing and am not too sure if I will in the near future; I strongly prefer PvE gaming and I am very open to raiding.
- How many hours a week do you play?
I am a graduate student and I work full-time, so this usually varies from 1 to 8 hours a week; during mid-terms and finals I am usually unable to play.
- Playstyle (explorer, grind-heavy, soloer, etc): Grind-heavy, be it questing or working on slayer deeds; also, I do not enjoy soloing (this is a MMO after all) which is why I decided to transfer from Silverlode.
- Various other information a kinship may find useful:
I am a casual player but I enjoy instances, raids, and quests as my RL permits. I am looking for a mature (no 13 year-olds runnin' wild please!), active kinship where people focus on the entire game and not just the end-game stuff.
- MMO experience to date:
EQOA/EQ2: played Warrior, Monk, Ranger
Guild Wars: played Ranger/Mesmer
WoW: played Hunter, Death Knight
Lotro: played Hunter, Captain
I prefer this game to all others I have tried thus far and that is why I decided to return to lotro.
- Optional - RL information such as Age, Time Zone, etc.
I am 27 years old, time zone is US Central Standard (Texas). Looking forward to playing on Landroval!! :)

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Hail and well met! I currently play on Gladden but I am looking to have some fun RPing and enjoying this wonderful game again. The things I am looking for.
1) A medium to heavy RP kinship.
2) Daytime, weekday players and lots of them. (I live in AZ, work weekends so my play time is Mon-Thurs, 8am-5pm when wife gets home haha.)
3) I will be just starting out a character so need some low lvl people to run with or high lvl people who enjoy the starter lands as much as I do.
If anyone out there wants to start a static group that can play around the same time I do please let me know also.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
I began LOTRO in March of '09 and like many, I followed the website recommendation for new players and went to the less populated Windfola. Like a good girl I stuck with it until my main hit level 60 while my alts are all 30 or less. However, I am not a video game player and never have been. This is my first MMORPG and that is because I am a lifelong fan of Tolkien. I have played pen-n-paper RPGs and love them, but those are now difficult to do in an adult world when everyone has become more family oriented (myself included). So I do have some Lotro experience but my 7 toons here in Landroval are all tiny.
Windfola is not a bad server, and there are many wonderful people there. However, there is next to no RP and that is what I have craved since the beginning. Even those that do something akin to RP sound like 21st century visitors to Middle Earth, as one minute they are talking RP and the next talking about the newest computer applications or the current events on the news. I come to Lotro in search of escapism and RP...and from what I have learned, Landroval is just the place for that!
I am used to kinships which have senior members willing to take extended breaks from their quests to have the best radiance armor, deeding, bounties, etc. and will come to the aid of their junior members without being disgruntled about it. I am used to kinships which encourage crafting by helping to provide materials whenever possible, which includes helping the younger toons farm for said mats. I am used to kinships who enjoy crafting armor, jewellry, food and weapons for each other without expecting anything in return. I also do all of the above for my kinsmen as well. Like I said, Windfola is full of wonderful people, they just don't RP (which to me is a little funny in a game known as a MMORPG).
Finally, I am a Mother of 3 children and a dog. This means that I go AFK a fair amount for all sorts of unexpected RL events. Sometimes it is a minute, sometimes I may be AFK so long that the account logs off. Fortunately, my Windfola kinship is very understanding of this fact. I also have an incredibly jealous older husband who forbids me to have a microphone as he feels it will lead to one of the infamous web romances that we've all heard about, so I can't use ventrillo or game speak (except once and a while, I borrow a microphone from a friend when my husband goes out drinking with his friends...shhhh!) It is because of these facts that I will not ever make a good Kin Officer, and besides, I am a follower, not a leader.
Because I am not a seasoned video game player, I hate soloing. If I could be in a fellowship the entire time I'm online, I would be one happy Lotro'er :) I am in in North America EST. Taking all this into consideration, do you have a RP Kinship that may make a good home for me? I'm looking forward to many adventures with a new family as we join the epic struggle against Sauron & the evil forces of Mordor!
Finally, I have 7 toons created, all levels 7-10 atm. 3 Elves, 2 humans, a hobbit and a dwarf. All different classes and all different trade skills. Yes, I love variety!

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Name:Lainven Dufaroth of Lothlórien
Race: Elf
Class: Hunter lvl 27
Profession: Scholar(very low apprentice)
Alignment: Chaotic Good (this could change)
Age:29
Time Zone: Mountain
Interested in Med to Heavy RP:
I am mostly interested in finding a kinship to level with that actively participates in RP throughout "all of Middle Earth" as well as taverns. Also, I prefer a kinship that participates in allied events with other players. I will join a kinship that is any "alignment" however if the kinship considers itself "evil" I would prefer that they have been excepted by the rest of the RP community as a legitimate group that others will want to RP with.
Game Time:
I think I've been averaging about 20-25hrs a week Mon-Fri
I play weekends too but snowboard season is here so either Sat or Sun will be shred day for me.
Play style:
I love exploring and questing. Not a big fan of grinding unless its something really important.
Alts:
I have 2 human lvl 11 alts a champion and a burglar. I made them the other day in case they would fit in better for a kinship that I like but so far the hunter is my favorite of the 3.
RP Experience:
I have RP'd in AD&D pen/paper, WoW, WAR.
I have read LotR, Hobbit, Silmarillion, Children of Húrin.
That being said I'm no RP expert some people's is so good its intimidating and I'm a bit slow at typing. Anyway, I just wanna have some fun and immersion. And if my RP cravings are satisfied yes I would enjoy Raiding/ PvP.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
I come as a duo. Yes. A friend of mine and I are both looking for a "home" for two of our toons here on Landroval. Both of us are adults in real life, both with jobs and family lives. Both of us have a static playing schedule and both are avid role players.
We want a laid back kin that's RP oriented and active. We also don't care for forums or kins that require the use of forums. We're here to play a game, have fun, enjoy ourselves and be dorks.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Hi,
I'm looking for a light-medium RP kinship - I try to stay in-character most of the time, but don't go out of my way to do active RP. My main is currently a 43 Hobbit Guardian called Erisea, but I have various alts as well. I'm a crafter - all of my alts have different professions, and I recycle my resources down through them. I have been mostly a soloer, but prefer short group stuff, and would be interested in shortish well-organised raids. (I have been in some raids in WoW, but the waiting times to get started often really irritated me.)
I have previously played Everquest (Firiona Vie RP server) and WoW. I play varying amounts each week - I pop in most days for at least a short time to run a quest or two and do a little crafting. I'm 32 IRL, so a mature kinship would be my preference.
The kicker is, though, I'm based in the UK, so my timezone is GMT. I know, I should be on the European servers, but I bought the game by online download and by the time I realised there WERE separate Euro servers, I'd invested enough time in my characters I didn't want to start fresh. It's not possible, unfortunately, to transfer from US to UK servers.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Greetings all.
Just wanted to drop this in there before I call it a night. I'm in the market for a kin.
I'm in my mid 30's and work full time (nights), but play most mornings and my days off. I've been playing MMO's on and off since the days when AC was the hot new game. Spent some time playing FPS's in leagues and ladders. I was in WoW from the beginning until WotLk came out, so I know the basics of raiding.
I spend most of my time soloing, but can jump in any group and contribute. Pretty much everything you need to know about my chars is in my sig and on mylotro page.

Feel free to drop me a line.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
I am looking for a Kinship. I am a new player to LOTRO though I started playing MMOs with Ultima Online. I am no stranger to grouping and raiding, though I spend most of my time solo (at least at the moment). I like a Kinship that chat's a lot and is friendly, not averse to an RP guild though I haven't RP'd since the old days of America Online chatrooms.
My character is currently level 12 and moving along nicely, but it feels lonely without a group to at least chat with. His name is Nivyan and he is an Elven Runekeeper.
Thank you.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Characters: I have a level 24 Elf Runekeeper (Taerwyn) and a level 9 Elf Minstrel (Beldrien). I'm interested in playing a healer.
Roleplaying: Light-Medium. I'm a novice at it in an MMO setting. I've mostly been a lore geek in other MMOs.
Hours a week played: 25+
Playstyle: Grouping. I've spent most of my time in other MMOs solo, and I don't want to repeat that here.
Additional info: I've played a healer in WoW in every level of content except level 80 raids, and would love to repeat the experience here. I prefer a large guild, or at least an active one, especially at mid to lower levels. I am on mostly during the afternoon and early evening (before 8pm), and again for a little while around midnight.
Real Life: I'm 31 and in EST
NOTE: I'm mostly playing on Roselinde, my Hobbit Warden right now, as she's extremely easy to level.
-
Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
- Sevith, 45 Warden
- Currently looking for an RP guild with at least a few members playing my main playtime.(2-6am pst)
- I've been hardcore in every play style out there at one point in time (Since UO days). Now I'd say I'm more of an all around casual player, and a semi-dedicated RPer. (I say semi cause without people RPing around you it drops off)
- My play times vary wildly.. however my most constant play time is 2:30ish AM to 6AM PST (UTC -8), give or take. Except on Tues/Weds, my weekends.. feel free to mail or contact me in game if you need more info, etc.

Shopping for a Kinship
Please don't take it as a reflection on the Valar Guild, for they're fine people; but for a while now I've been thinking about trying to find a kinship that might be a better fit me personally, and I'm looking for recommendations. Here are the basics of what I'd like to see in a kinship:
1) Regular (but non-mandatory) schedule. It can be as simple as "Monday is quest night, Wednesday is raid night," but I'd like to see some kind of structure. I have not generally been much for raids, but part of that is because they always seem to be such a bear to organize. When there's something more regular going on, I'm much more likely to able to join in and help.
2) Ready assistance. I want people to ask me for help with specific tasks, and to be able to ask for help with specific tasks in return. This includes having enough people around that there's usually somebody around willing to help.
3) Lore respect. I'm not Mr. Heavy Drama RP Guy by any stretch, but I do prefer being immersed in the story of the game and care about Middle-earth lore specifically. Being in a group with names like "Slapphappy" and "KillzDudez" is not something I'm interested in.
4) Good manners. This is actually related to #3 in a way ... when playing a game based on the works of Professor Tolkien, fart jokes or nasty comments don't really fit the mood!
5) Forum/MyLotro presence. This is less critical, but still something I would prefer. I'm fairly active here, and would like to be able to hobnob with kinmates here rather than go to a third-party website.
What I don't care about...
1) PvMP. Not my thing. :)
2) Uniforms, out-of-game events, layers of officership, mandatory events. I play when I can, and I'm eager to help when I'm around, but there are many other things in my life that take precedence over a computer game. As such, I would not be much use to a kinship that required a lot of out-of-game commitment, nor would such a kinship be of much use to me.
3) Hardcoreness generally. I play this game to relax and have fun in the world of Middle-earth, not to leave the rat-race at work only to find a rat-race online. I try to be good at my class and useful to a group -- and that's all I expect of others. Think of me as "dedicated casual."
As for what I might bring to a kinship...
1) Will gladly assist when asked. If you need another person for a group quest, or just want somebody to polish some adamants for you, I'll be happy to do it.
2) I love Tolkien and Middle-earth; I'm good company for fellow lore-monkeys. ;)
3) I'm fun and friendly. :) I'm also polite, whimsical, and enthusiastic.
For an idea of what I'm like, you can check out my blog page. If you think I might be a good fit for your kin (and vice-versa), please send me a PM or an in-game tell (I'm generally on Maedhroc, Galadhalion, or Faradawn).
Safe travels!
-The Gneech

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
RP: Light-Medium
Kinship politics: I try to avoid it
Playing time: Typically 9pm-1am MST
- I solo a lot but I still like to raid and do difficult quests in groups and I will help out when needed.
- I'm not much of a chatter unless responing to someone.
- I would like to join a Kinship! Please help!

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Server: Landroval
Name: Laliadahre
Character: 47 Elf Guardian
Looking for a light or medium RP guild that runs fellowship instances regularly.
I prefer to keep the game in the game, so not overly interested in exterior guild application.
Send me a message in-game if you're looking for a mature player to add to your instance/raid roster.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
I am in my mid 30's first time playing online games and love it. I am a casual player looking for casual christian (doesn't have to be but would like one) kin. I have a 41 elf champion(spopey), and 30 man hunter(kevamir). I play mostly in evenings (east coast U.S.) sometimes during day. I am looking for a kinship getting tired of going solo all the time.
-
Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
I'm coming back into the game, so I'd like to find a new kinship. I've been playing since beta, but I haven't logged on in about a year, so I'm a little lost.
- Celebrion, Elf, Hunter, Level 60
- I haven't had much experience RPing on this game, but I'm always willing to try. I'm interested as well in raids, which I've done before.
- Now that the semester is ending, I should be on a decent amount, life willing.
- Playstyle: I do a bit of everything.
- I'm...rather lost as to all the changes, so I'd appreciate it if the kinship had some people kind enough to answer a ton of stupid questions and the like.
- I'm 21, a senior in college, and on EST.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Suil! :] I'm looking for a kinship (preferably RP) for my character.

I'm a pretty active player. I try to find time to play at least every night.
Thanks! :D

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Hi, l'm looking for an established kinship that caters to mature/adult casual gamers. I'm currently a lvl 21 champion (Malsapo). This is my first char with LOTRO. My exp is with WOW, which I played for about 2 yrs (got a little bored around lvl 75). I enjoy being a member of a laid-back group that enjoys helping each other out and doing fellowship instances. Not familiar with raids/ skirmishes, but always willing to try. I usually play a couple of hours in the evening and on weekends that I'm not working. Light roleplaying is fine. My first rpg was Ultima II when it was released on the C64--yeah, I'm that old.
Look forward to hearing from you,
Malsapo

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Looking for a Kinship not so focused on RP (not a huge fan, myself) but is still mature. I'm going to want to PvP and PvE later on, so a focus on either one would be good.
Contact me in game if you like.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Hey all.
Currently lvl 35 RK looking for a kinship here. Prefer medium RP. This is my first char on this server but I've been playing for a while. Looking for mature folks whom I can have fun grouping with and I'd love to share my scholar stuff :). My general playtime is evenings in CST though my schedule is a bit random. I guess send me a forum msg if you're recruiting? Thanks for reading.

Deleted the post as after three days of three servers and talking to myself I'm shelving the game to go find something more productive and social. =)

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Life-timer that recently got to playing heavy again. My kin I am in now is just a group of friends keeping the tag for our guild we made during beta. I would like to get into a new kin for some more activity. Here are the details for the character I would bring over:
Level 31 Man Captain
-I don't mind rp, and sometimes rp myself, but still want a laid back group.
-MUST be an active kin. I would like to be able to find a group of people on most hours, and see activity 15+ minimum during prime times.
-My play time is not always consistent, I am a 27 year old undergrad and that takes up a lot of time when mixed with family time.
-Looking for a laid back kin (as stated) that can support each other, is not domintated by a pecking order, and is welcoming to new members
-no drama
-vent a plus
Lastly, I do not really want to join your forums and fill out a ten page application just to be considered. Message me if you would be interested, and we can go from there. PLEASE, again only message if you are of a larger and highly active guild. I do not wish to play with kins of 10 active people.
FORMER GUILD: Shadow Company (on another character for quite awhile until I went to Warhammer to play with them)
Thanks.
-
Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
- Level 19 hobbit Minstrel (Crosianna)
- Dont really mind light RP, would prefer a kin without, I want to get into raiding but not heavily, and I want to get into PvMP.
- Play a varied number of hours a day (anywhere from 3 to 10). I'm in the UK but play at USA peaktime.
- My playstyle is fairly open. I like to explore, have fun, quest etc, but I'm also wanting to get involved in endgame things when I can.
- I like helping people where I can, i.e running lower level quest with either alts or newer people to give them a helping hand.
I'm male, 24, extremely tolerant and easy going.
If any kin is interested, send me a mail/PM

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Hi all. I play Kethas, a 65 Man Guardian, and I'm currently interested in finding a raiding kinship that needs a tanking guardian. I have extensive previous MMO experience in UO, FFXI, Planetside, City of Heroes, and most recently (and heavily) WoW. I'm confident that my tanking ability will not be the bottleneck for the progression of any kin I join.
My online hours currently vary as I have no fixed-time commitments, such as raids. Speaking generally, I'm available weekdays from 4PM eastern onwards, and essentially all weekend. The one exception is a tabletop roleplaying group that meets Thursdays from 6:00 to 9:00 eastern; I'd probably be reliably available only after 9:30 eastern on those nights.
The vast majority of my WoW experience, and what I'm interested most in a kinship, is raiding; while I'd still be interested in talking to nonraiding kinships, the first question I'd want to discuss would be "How would joining your kin be any different than being freely available to join various instance groups through glff?"
I'd like to eventually start being active in PvMP combat (likely on the freep side) but have always had enough stuff to work on in instances that it's never been on the front burner for me. I was active in arena combat in WoW and am curious to see how the PvP mechanic compares in LOTRO.
I'm not interested in regular RP kin activity, and I assume that would make any kinship where such is the expected norm for members a poor fit.
I have a handful of low-level alts (specifically, a captain, loremaster, and minstrel) but don't play them much and wouldn't expect them to hit 65 anytime soon.
On the personal side, I'm a 24-year-old graduate student in a hard science field at a well-known East Coast university. I enjoy good conversation, fine wine, and long walks on the beach.
The best way to contact me is probably ingame mail (Kethas). I'll notice PMs on the forum, but less regularly.
Thanks for your interest.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Ingame Name: Ithildae
Race:Elf
Class: Hunter
Current Level:28
Looking for a heavy rp guild for me and my spouse to join. At the moment neither of us have work so we are on several hours a day. We are on EST time, but can be up well into the early morning. We are looking for an active rp group and other mature players.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
- Ingame Name, Race, Class, and Current Level
Peldoc Poad, Hobbit, Minstrel, 17th
- If you are considering roleplaying, raiding, and/or player versus player combat
I am interested in rp, and possibly PvMP eventually. I enjoy grinding (what?!). I also enjoy crafting.
- How many hours a week do you play?
Anywhere from 5-20. Mostly weekends and evenings (After 9p.m. Pacific)
- Playstyle (explorer, grind-heavy, soloer, etc)
Still quite new so most of my playing has been exploring and soloing. Quite fun though, and obviously I would love to group at some point, I chose a minstrel after all...Haven't played an MMO since Dark Age of Camelot, so I may be a bit rusty...
- Various other information a kinship may find useful
I am quite mellow, and have a very dry, very sharp sense of humor. Peldoc is a bit more friendly and outgoing than I am.
- Optional - RL information such as Age, Time Zone, etc.
I am 27. Pacific Time Zone. Washington State. The end. Thank you.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
- Ingame Name, Race, Class, and Current Level
seredric, Hobbit, Hunter, 36
- If you are considering roleplaying, raiding, and/or player versus player combat
I would like to learn how to roleplay, and raid when I get up to level. I will definitely PvMP also when I get to level.
- How many hours a week do you play?
I'd say about 20, just starting school again and I have a rough semester, so maybe not quite as much. Mostly evenings, occasional days.
- Playstyle (explorer, grind-heavy, soloer, etc)
Exploring and Soloing mostly, I do enjoy playing in groups if it's people I know.
- Various other information a kinship may find useful
I like to chat with kin members, I really just want to feel included. I will definitely help out lower players, and participate. I want somewhere to belong. :)
- Optional - RL information such as Age, Time Zone, etc.
I am 21. A student in college, in the Mountain Time Zone. I love Lord of the Rings

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
- Astarii, 19 Elf Hunter
- Raiding/Casual
- ~20
- Quester
- My husband (Level 19 Man Burglar) and I are looking for a casual kinship. We're both very familiar with MMOs and RPGs, but are new to LoTRO.
- Central time zone. We're both 23, have a 7 year old, jobs and college. We're also expecting our 2nd child in July. We're basically looking for a social kinship that will be patient with new players. Looking forward to meeting all of you!

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Found an amazing kinship!
-
Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
- Miitiipi ~33 Warden -Explorer-Expert/Master all
- I have never tried RP but have no problems with others that do. I enjoy running groups
and when the time/gear is right tackle the end game. PvP has been a staple of past
mmorpg's, but I have not tried it in LOTRO.
- I am on usually every day at least several hours.
- My play style varies, I usually fall into the same rut of racing to the end game, although I
am trying to break that habit with LOTRO.
- I am looking for a Kinship that has active crafters willing to trade recipes and materials. I would rather give any crafting items away then to AH/vendor them.
- Im old, real old...My time zone currently is Central, but I am in transition.
Notes:
Now with the the sticky stuff out of the way....As stated I am in transition. What I can offer a guild is someone that is competent and willing to help others out in the guild. I will change my class if it would be beneficial to the Kinship.
If you have any questions of me, please feel free to send an in game tell. I am usually just grinding out crafting materials.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Are there any LATE NIGHT Kinships on Landroval?
We are four friends who are looking for a late night raiding Kinship (Eastern Time). By late night, we mean late night, being from around 11ish to Midnight start times for end game events.
Our classes and in parenthesis our alternate characters are as follows, each line represents a separate individual;
Lvl 65 Minstrel (65-Lore Master, 50-Burglar)
Lvl 65 Warden (65-Hunter, 50-Champion, 51-Captain) will play their hunter as main.
Lvl 65 Champion
Lvl 65 Burglar (65-Champion, 50-Rune Keeper)
We have been unsuccessful thus far in finding an authentic late night kinship, if you fall into this category and are recruiting please feel free to contact me private message or in game by mail or tell. Been spending a lot of time on the Burglar (Laehla) until we find a home.
Thank you, in advance, for your consideration.

In game name: Hareton Earnshaw
Class/Race Burglar/Human male
I am looking for a medium to heavy RP kinship as well as a possible family depending on the roleplay. I've bounced around on several mmorpgs out there and have finally settled here and would love to lay down some roots and really work my way into a kinship and become one of the most active members.
Pacific timezone
Work nights right now(might change) but have days free.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Been playing on Landroval since open-beta with my kids some. I have my own kinship (made up of mine and kids alts) just for a big house. Just testing the waters to see whats out there.
My Account:
Thavious - 65 guard
Rotte - 65 champ
Gudrun - 65 burg
Durnik - 62 hunter
Therfax - 50 lm (retired)
Ximinez - 60 minstrel (dual-box)
Kids Account:
Ragnarock - 65 capt
Melene - 60 minstrel (dual-box)
Mainly leveling chars, would like to be able to find a questing or leveling guild. Have some low level ones (runekeeper, warden) that I will be working on once I finish the minstrels and hunter. Not really looking for the l337 mindset. Willing to help others finish quests and level chars as well.
Played Ultima Online for 9 years and was in the Templars there, so spent most of my time helping people level and learn crafting etc. Not sure if there is a guild like that here, but definitely want a no-drama type guild that friendly.
Some guilds also don't like dual-boxing.. I don't pvmp with them, just use them for questing, so hopefully that's not a problem.
Send mail or tell in-game to Ximinez, as I've been mainly leveling the minstrel lately. Thanks!

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
- Ingame Name, Race, Class, and Current Level
Danibo Floatweed, Hobbit Warden, Level 23
- If you are considering roleplaying, raiding, and/or player versus player combat
Some roleplaying, no raiding, maybe on PVP. Mostly looking for people to group with when leveling, and doing low level dungeons. I do like to solo some of the time, though, so not constant grouping.
- How many hours a week do you play?
10-20
- Playstyle (explorer, grind-heavy, soloer, etc)
Exploring, soloing, but happy with chatting in fellowship talk and doing group instances and grouping for leveling sometimes.
- Various other information a kinship may find useful
Ask me.
- Optional - RL information such as Age, Time Zone, etc.
21, 22 in less than a month. Eastern time zone. I go to the University of Florida.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
- Celebrindil FunnysoundinglastnamethatIcann otforthelifeofmeremember (52 Minstrel.)
- I'm currently looking for a RP kinship. Y'know, something with character development, plots, conflict and all that jazz.
- It depends on how much I've got to deal with IRL (She's a cruel, fickle mistress, she is.), but on an average week I can easily clock up 15 to 20 hours of solid gametime.
- I tend to do a fair bit of solo'ing, but that's mainly because I have a hard time finding people to group with during my playtimes. :-(
- Eh... Just ask me whatever you want via a PM on the forums or an IG tell to my main.
- I'll be turning 19 in a month or two. I live down in Australia and am currently juggling college and a part-time job. I am also a devout worshipper of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. Got further questions? Just ask.

I am returning to the game after a hiatus of several months. I need a new kin for my LM who is currently level 60 and completing the Volume 1 epic story line. He is a SM level scholar.
I am by necessity a semi-solo casual player due to my work schedule. I have not done any raid (or radiance) content but would not mind learning. I have done only the introductary Bree skirmish and while I do have the SoM expansion I have done none of the content. Anything new to the game in the last 5-6 months is new to me as well. I would love to learn these new things and am willing to contribute in what way I can to being in a kin. All with the caveat that my time in game will often be limited. RL is a harsh task master but she does pay the bills.
If there are any mature, balanced, casual friendly kinships which engage in a wide variety of activities and feel they could fit me in, I would be greatful.

The game is great, but even more fun with friends, so give us some details about yourself, and an officer of a kinship can contact you if you fit their criteria.
Also, please consider checking out the various threads for Landroval kinships, many kinships are looking to recruit new members.
In your post, please include:
- - Ingame Name, Race, Class, and Current Level
- If you are considering roleplaying, raiding, and/or player versus player combat
- How many hours a week do you play?
- Playstyle (explorer, grind-heavy, soloer, etc)
- Various other information a kinship may find useful
- Optional - RL information such as Age, Time Zone, etc.
Note to kinship leaders and officers. Please do not post your information in this thread, please contact the person via Private Message.
Thanks!
-Ingame Name: Elphamo and/or Norvur, Ingame Race: Man/Dwarf, Ingame Class: Warden/RK, Ingame Current Level: 9/4
-I plan on RPing and am looking for a kinship that is also RPing (doesnt matter if its light/moderate/or/heavy)
-I play 12-15 hours a week
-I have several playstyles but usually im an explorer and grouper
-Ive played 2 characters up to endgame, a hunter and a captain (almost in the case of the capt ;) ), so I can offer advice to kinsmen who are starting those classes and have a few questions. I have founded and led a kin for half a year before retiring and letting my successor take the job up as well.

Re: Post here if you can't find a Landroval Kinship
Recently transferred to Landroval from Firefoot, looking for a more mature and populated server base.
Thurley, 48 Minstrel, Man - Main Character
Thurlo, 38 Hunter, Hobbit
Thurlor, 13 Rune Keeper, Dwarf
Light Role Playing, mostly just to keep a polite and interactive mode of communication. Not really into PvMP
Usually 5-6 hours per week, 10-12 Midnight Central
Usually solo leveler and Skirmishes, would like to group, but have not actively tried to find other players.
40 plus, married with young children. Looking for Kin with an appreciation of Real Life, but a love of the game.
