Don't miss it! Ales & Tales, tonight at Aerlinnbar, the Lonely Mountain Band's Kinhouse, located at 5 Waterbank Road, Eryn Vrithon, Falathorn (Elven) Homesteads.
Come and share in the stories of fellow adventurers, be serenaded by musical compositions, and maybe even have enough to drink that you'll find yourself center-stage with a tale or two! I hear there will be an ample supply of Ol' Wineyards tonight...
Hope to see you there!
Sure would have liked to be in attendance. Rixi and Wimzi are mad at me, but its not my fault! Total reload of windows in progress. Im in the doghouse now.
Being the 'new kid on the block' I couldn't join in the dancing yet but I could take pictures!
Here is the "line dance":

Ales and Tales will be at the Breeland Fairgrounds this week. We will be playing some fun games in the tag zone nearby. See you at 1030 EST for music, tales, and fun!

Sounds like fun. I will try to bring some of my Kin. :)
Not sure if I will make it this week because I need to take my brother to the VA hospital for an appt. and they are slow enough out there to make Christmas 2020 look like it is just around the corner.
Bounders luck Merrydew! See the rest o' ye tonight.
From the Lonely Mountain Band's Hall in Falathorn last time...

CRIPES... sorry bout the size, gotta get used to croppin' my screens now with this huge thing. Next time.
Aww look't all those hobbits :D
Makes Valaraein and Kaleigh and Astleigh look giant!
I managed to miss most of Ales and Tales this week due to a last minute RL emergency. However, I did make the last part of Freeze Tag--a fun game by the Breeland Fairgrounds. A good time was had by all!
Next week's location is not settled as of yet. 'Twould be fair if we could be hosted by a Dwarven Kin in the Thorin's Gate area. We've already toured hobbit, elven and breeland kin halls. Any out there up for the task?

Despite your lamentable absence, Harperella, it was a very fun night.
From songs and tales...

Mar Vanwa Tyalieva had a great time. :D
I had so much fun last night! (even with RL interruptions from the baby)
I had never played the games up at the Bree fields and did not realize there were two different tag games.
No pictures this week because I was on my regretably ultra low graphics/high delay laptop but since my desk top was required by someone else I thought that the laptop might be able to handle Tales and Ales and it did.
I was glad I came.
Good Evening!
Does anyone know the location of this weeks Tales & Ales?
Sip your cheap beer and gaze at the stars through the hole in the roof at The Forsaken Inn! Ales and Tales will be at 10:30pm EST on Monday in the Lonelands. Ask in /regional if you need a hand getting here.

Well... before the revamp of the LLs I would already be out working the Forsaken quests but now... I think I will wait.
I will be there tonight, all I have to do is take a pony to Bree housing and then run down the road a bit.
Such a disreputable place!
A lass shouldn't be goin' there alone. Bounders will be available for escorts too. Just send me, Lyonardo, a pidgeon with a note!

This week found our merriment at the Forsaken Inn. We arrived at twilight, in a drizzle that turned much of the tan soil into brown muck. Soon enough, a tune was struck and spirits raised amongst our company:
Alelneia, Algrogo, Astleigh, Dovie, Faerun, Falibrand, Gallaen, Harperella, Hartigen, Hoedown, Javelarry, Kaleigh, Lyondardo, Maeldhoc, Malrex, Meribuc, Merrydew, Olalie, Poppia, Saker, Sidric, Tarnorili, Valaraein and Willowberry.
The Ale wasn't very good, but the company more than made up for the loss. Javelarry entertained us with an improv on his "big guitar" to much applause. Dovie followed this with The Fall of Gil-Galad and then the Song of Nimrodel. Both were beautifully accented with her lute playing.
What comes up must come down. Tarnorili got deep into his cups and entertained us with rapid fire rhyming and a joke of dubious nature. It was received with laughter and applause and some consternation. (Except from Kaleigh...)
Falibrand played us some lively dance tunes and soon the floorboards were quaking with our steps! After this bit of merriment, we explained the basics of music to a few lucky patrons. Then Astleigh sang the following comic song about Javelarry:
'There once was a Hobbit much braver than most,'
'He lived in the Shire and he worked for the Post.'
'He carried the mail and was quick on his feet,'
'Delivering parcels, he knew not defeat.'
'One morn he was sent from his usual route,'
'For reading the name of the address he found:'
'For reading the name of the address he found:'
'Sambrog, High Wight Lord, The Barrow Downs!'
'Javelarry, Javelarry, where do you go with your shield and spear?'
'Javelarry, Javelarry, why do you hasten where danger's near?'
'Javelarry, Javelarry, Hobbity postman of no small reknown!'
'Javelarry, Javelarry, bravely set off for the Barrow Downs!'
'Now into the downs he strode forth to do battle,'
'When out of the earth there arose such a rattle!'
'Skeletons armored in chainmail and rust,'
'Clawed up from their graves, spewing poison and dust!'
'Out flew a javelin, up came his shield,'
'He prayed to find Sambrog's old doorstep revealed!'
'He dodged and he parried, his spear flashed and shone,'
'He cheered as he found that great doorway of stone!'
'He opened the door and he hastened inside,'
'He lit up a torch and his eyes opened wide.'
'Sambrog arose from his sepulchral tomb,'
'Roaring, What foolish mortal dare enter my room?'
'Larry dropped off his letter and then turned to flee,'
'He'd finished his duty and was late for tea!'
'Alas for our hero, it now looked quite dire,'
'He dodged and he parried but began to tire.'
'When who to his wondering eyes should appear,'
'But Tom Bombadil bringing luck and good cheer!'
'Creatures of shadow, return to the earth!'
'The wights have been banished now lets have some mirth!'
'But Larry just sighed as he looked down to find,'
'Oh dear, I forgot to ask Sambrog to sign!'
'Javelarry, Javelarry, why the long face, and why so glum?'
'Javelarry, Javelarry, the battle is over and you have won!'
'Javelarry, Javelarry, slayer of demons, bringer of light!'
'Javelarry, Javelarry, delivering mail, be it rain, snow or wight!'
At point, the gathering was in an adventuresome mood. Off they went, in two groups into the lonelands to gather goblin tabards for one of the locals. One group returned, but the other was not seen again... A rescue party was mounted and the lost party was found... lost amidst spider-ridden ravines!

We finally broke through the spiders, wargs and goblins and back into open country...

Twas a most eventful evening! Read the whole thing here:
Ales and Tales Transcript
There was lively dancing music the likes of which the Forsaken Inn hasn't seen in many a year, I'm sure:

There were... rhymes:

After some encouragement from the crowd, Malrex gamely learned to play the bagpipes:

I'm not sure why, but they continued to supply Tarnorili with plenty of booze even AFTER all that rhyming...

Ales and Tales will be at the Comb and Wattle inn. All the rumors are patently false. It is not the headquarters of an infamous gang, nor is the beer flat and tasteless. They've seating for men, hobbits, and chickens (should any decide to come).
